Welcome back. This is the last chapter of the Demigod Chronicles, and it will be very short. Just going to cover the Olympus meeting regarding Malachi and Talon. Next is Book Two!

Review and Response time.

NiHaR OP: "man this flashback was really cool"

Response: Thanks man.

thesuperone342: "This chapter is great. Awesome characterization for the three of them. Is the next chapter going to be another island chapter or is it going to be Talon and Malachi being judged by the Olympians? Also, how much longer will the Demigod Chronicles go on for? Also, Is the Storm Bringers going to be a new story like by itself, or will in be under the Son of Hercules name?"

Response: I answered this in a PM. But I'll say it here so there's no confusion. To anyone reading this currently, this is the last chapter of the Demigod Chronicles, the first chapter of Book Two: The Storm Bringers will be next and it will NOT be separate, it will be under this fic, put together. So just keep following along, because this is where all future books will be. Also, thanks for the review man.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters (except the OC's) Percy Jackson & The Olympians, Heroes Of Olympus, or Trials Of Apollo. All of that belongs to Rick Riordan.

Takes place at the end of the first book, when Malachi and Talon are being judged on Olympus. It will be in Talon's POV, since I enjoy writing his POV a lot. This chapter is going to be the shortest one of the series, as there isn't much to cover, but still pretty important to the story.

5. Wolf Among Sheep

Talon's POV

Olympus was even bigger than I thought it would be.

I ain't Matt, so don't expect me to describe everything in "gorgeous detail" or whatever the hell he does. The place was big and shiny, that good enough?

Anyway, after Hera teleported us, we ended up in the throne room, where all of the Olympians sat in a semi circle shape, arguing about us I guessed. I didn't give a shit, I knew the cost of coming back to the Island and helping everyone, I knew I would have to face them someday, so why not now?

After a few minutes of them not even knowing we were there, Hera whispered in Zeus' ear, alerting him. She too sat on her throne, while Malachi and I stood there awkwardly, like we were in court.

Zeus held his hand up for silence, to which the others granted. "Ah, Malachi Stallard and uh...what was your name?"

"Talon" I said. "You should know, you tried to kill me when I was a baby."

"Yes, but you must understand where we were coming from. Your father was a dangerous, uh, individual."

I didn't retort, it was pointless to argue.

"Anyway, we are here to decide the fate of these two, a discussion in which I feel no need of having..."

Who I guessed to be Athena spoke up, "Lord, we have to take into consideration, the danger these two present!"

Ares stared at us with interest, "Danger? They don't look so bad. How about you just let me take care of em."

Artemis shook her head, "No! I will not allow you to harm the boy!." I guessed she was talking about Malachi, and not me. "You did not witness what Apollo and I did. The boy, he was under influence, it was not of his own will!"

A guy with a weird looking staff, who I guessed Hermes mentioned, "How do we know for sure? What if he's a really good actor?"

Aphrodite chimed in, "Well, he certainly has the looks of one. Are you sure you aren't one of my children?"

Malachi shook his head, "Um, yes ma'am, I'm sure."

Artemis ignored her, "He was a completely different person! Look at him now, he means no harm to us! Feel his emotions, he wants revenge against Ouranos, not us!"

Poseidon pointed at me, "What about him? He hates us."

I nodded, "That I do."

Artemis sighed at my bluntness, but I didn't give a shit, I wasn't going to lie.

Zeus gestured to Malachi, "I can vouch for this one. He has been used by Ouranos for years, forced to be his puppet. Any act he took in recent months, was not of his own accord."

Dionysus raised his eyebrows, "He violated your wife, father."

Zeus nodded grimly, "An act by Ouranos, or Typhon. Either way, the thought is horrid. But it was not this boy."

Malachi spoke up, no fear in his voice, which I was glad for.

"This is true. I had no intention of any of those acts. Although I shouldn't have been influenced in the first place. I was weak, and should have saw his plan coming. I couldn't stop it, and for that, I accept any punishment given to me."

Athena nodded, "Well, at least he's not stupid."

Artemis looked like she was going to scream, "Of course he's not! He's innocent!" She looked at him, "Child, you are not to blame here. Ouranos has pulled these strings for far too long, and really, it is our fault. We should have seen his return sooner, and stopped him at once."

Zeus agreed, "I thought it was what was left of Gaea's forces. I had no idea my grandfather would return."

Poseidon looked at him, "Our grandfather. I know he is just as bad as Kronos and the rest, manipulating and undermining. So let's agree the boy is innocent. But the Son of Nikandreos is a different story."

Most of them agreed, if not all. I was under the spotlight, and Malachi was home free. Well, as long as they let him off the hook, it was fine, I guess.

Athena asked me, "Do you wish revenge on us, boy?"

"I wouldn't try anything, so no. But I still don't like you guys. I think you treat your children like shit, you fight amongst yourselves too much, and you jump the gun. Trying to kill me as a baby, in fear of a crime I may or may not commit, that's jumping the gun a damn lot."

Poseidon looked offended, "You know Percy, do you not? I haven't treated him in such a way!"

"Yeah, but what about everything else? Earthquakes don't just appear out of nowhere. Every time you have a tantrum, mortals suffer."

He looked like he wanted to impale me with his trident, but he just huffed, knowing I was right.

Apollo looked at me with sympathy, "You aren't doing a good job of selling yourself."

"I don't care" I said, "I ain't gonna lie."

Athena had an expression like the answer was obvious, "It would be unwise to let him live. He could become just like his father, and pose a threat in the future."

I stepped forward, "Can I say something, real quick?"

They hesitated, but didn't protest, so I went on.

"I ain't trying to say I'm a good person, or a hero, because I'm not. I've killed, and I've done bad things. But I'm trying to change, and I want to be that guy. I don't like any of you, but even I can see that you're better rulers than Ouranos, Gaea, the Titans, whatever. I won't enact revenge on you, which I don't think I could anyway. But just know that as long as I'm still alive, I'll fight for the right side, because I have friends on that side. I won't do it for you...but I'll do it for them. Percy, Annabeth, Malachi, Harper, Sera, all of them are decent people, and they deserve the best from me."

I had no doubt butchered that mini speech, but it was sincere, I told the truth with that, and I wasn't lying, I would fight for them, I had a new purpose, I had a chance to be what I wanted.

They considered my words, some like Athena and Poseidon still uneasy, but a bit calmer at the mention of their children.

Hera backed me up, "What the boy says is genuine. I saw him return to the Island to help his friends, he cares about them. He may not care about us, but he cares for our children, and heroes, is that not enough."

Poseidon said, "But where will they go? Surely we can't just release them on the streets."

"Here on Olympus?" Apollo suggested.

Ares lit up at that, "Oh, can I fight the Nikandreos kid? I like him." He cracked his knuckles at me. Alright then, bring it on, war boy.

Dionysus nodded, "I agree." He turned to Artemis, "Why don't you take the Demi-Primordial on your hunts? Since you're so fond of him."

Artemis looked at him incredulously, "Men cannot join the hunt. How many times must I tell you this? I am a maiden!"

Dionysus chuckled, like he was the annoying little brother, "Who says you can't have a little fun. He's basically a minor god, if you just take away the Ouranos part. He's got the looks, why not, Artemis?"

"Enough!" She shouted at him. Malachi scratched his neck nervously. It was kind of funny, him and Artemis. It was like a middle school rumor or something.

Zeus held his hand up in annoyance, "Enough jokes, Dionysus. In all seriousness, no. We cannot keep them here. None of us are present often, and they should be under at least some level of supervision."

"Exactly!" Ares said, "So let me take the Nikandreos kid. I want him as my punching bag."

Aphrodite continued to look at Malachi with interest, "Why don't we just make him a god? He is far too cute to be with Artemis. I mean, look at that hair."

Malachi blushed. I nearly laughed, the guy was considered cute by the literal goddess of beauty, that had to be a feat on it's own.

Ares now glared at Malachi, I guess he was jealous of his wife looking at my buddy like he was a potential snack, "Nevermind, I want him as a punching bag."

Artemis threw her hands up, "I am a maiden! I do not want the boy! I am simply stating the fact that he is innocent!"

Zeus wasn't having it, thunder cracked and boomed outside, silencing everyone.

"Enough with the silliness. I have a better solution than all of you!"

They listened in, I was now interested too.

"Camp Half Blood." He said. "Consider it. They will be watched by Chiron and Dionysus both. That is good, yes?"

Most murmured agreement, to which I was surprised. Camp Half Blood? I was going to become a camper? I guess it was better than Malachi being Aphrodite's sugar baby and me being Ares' punching bag.

Hera said, "I agree with this. Shall we call a vote?"

They did, and everyone voted yes, with a few hesitant Olympians, including Athena, Poseidon and Aphrodite.

Zeus looked at us, "Very well then."

So that was it. We were somewhat free, about to become Campers. I didn't know what to expect, but I figured it wouldn't be so bad, I mean, my friends are there.

And shit, in the end, that's all that matters.
