I'M BACK B*CHES!!!!

Chapter 9: Interrogations and Hard Lessons

(Theatre)

Team RWBY, JNPR as well as their friends, family and professors once again resumed their seats, excited to see what was going to happen next especially after the heaviness of the previous scene.

"I can't wait to see what happens next! Ethan! Play the scene already!" Nora basically shouted enthusiastically.

"I'm sure he'll start it momentarily, just be patient Nora," Pyrrha placated her teammate.

What they didn't know was that Ethan was busy reinforcing the theatre as much as he could with his powers because he knew that what was going to happen in the next scene would anger a lot of his guests, especially a certain blonde brawler with an already short fuse.

"That should do it, not even the Hulk could put a dent in the walls now," Ethan said to himself as he finished reinforcing the theatre while sticking to the shadows. Once finished he snapped his fingers and the screen lit up to begin the next scene.

(on screen)

Ruby rode up to the barn on her bicycle and noticed that her mother's car was not in the driveway, indicating that she was working late. Entering the bar, she pushed her bike into the dark building and parked it against a pole when a voice in the darkness startled her.

"You're late for dinner Ruby."

Ruby gave a small gasp before making a run for the exit as a shadowy figure followed, but just as she reached the door it closed and the bolt was locked, trapping her inside with the hidden figure.

"Your mom's working late tonight, so it's just us two," said Roman, who was now close enough for Ruby to make out in the dark. "And we're gonna have a little chat. Now sit down!" he ordered while shoving the girl into a chair.

Ruby shielded her eyes when a bright light was shined into her face, momentarily blinding her as she listened to Roman's voice move around the room.

"How's that? A little too bright? Good, forgive me, I wanted you learn something."

"What can I learn from you?" asked Ruby sceptically.

"You can learn this," answered Roman, coming up behind her. "That I can do anything I want, whenever I want if it's in the people's best interest." He paused for second, "The giant metal man, where is it?"

Ruby lied instantly, "I don't know what you're talking about."

Roman just grinned, "You don't? Well, does this ring a bell?" he asked and dropped a picture on the table in front of her of a stump with a piece of sheet metal on it. Ruby's heart rate began to quicken and it took all her willpower not to react badly when Roman dropped another photo. "How bout this?" he asked again, showing the photo of her smiling into the camera with the giant behind her in the forest.

"You've been careless Ruby," he mocked.

"It doesn't prove anything," she quickly denied.

"It's enough to the Army here with one call."

"So what's stopping you," Ruby mockingly asked, which caused Roman to angrily swiped the photos and the lamp off the table and got into Ruby's face.

"Where's the giant!?" he angrily asked. He then cupped her face and brought her close. "You can't protect him Ruby…any more than you, can protect your mother." He said with a threatening smile.

"My mom?" whimpered Ruby as the thought of her mother in danger filled her with fear.

Roman let go of the girl and stood up, "It's difficult to raise a girl all alone. We can make it more difficult. In fact, we can make it so difficult it would be irresponsible to leave you in her care, and all that implies- you'll be taken away from her."

"You can't do that!" cried Ruby in fear.

"Oh we can, and we will." Roman said maliciously, happy that he finally broke through her defences.

Ruby could only hang her head in defeat and said lowly, "He's in the junkyard. Xiolong's Scrap, off Culver Road," she confessed, tears falling that she betrayed her friend's location.

Roman slapped his forehead, "The junkyard, of course! Food for the metal eater. I wouldn't worry about this, it isn't really happening. This is only a bad dream."

Before Ruby has a chance to react, Roman had pressed a cloth covered in chloroform into the girls face. Ruby struggled only for a few seconds before her whole world went black.

(off screen)

The silence in the room was deafening. Everyone had to watch as their friends' counter-part was interrogated and threatened to be taken away from her mother if she didn't give the man the giant's location.

Several times they noticed Yang's hands gripping the arm-rests so tightly her knuckles were turning white and that her eyes were shifting between lilac and red and they couldn't blame her. Despite being the team leader of RWBY, Ruby was still the youngest out of all of them and while they knew she could take care of herself, seeing a version of her in a helpless situation made all of them feel their anger rise.

However, the moment they saw Ruby get chloroformed, Yang snapped.

"RRRRRAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!" With a shout of pure anger and rage, Yang activated her semblance, which made her eyes turn red and her hair to ignite into flames.

Before her friends could react, Yang was already flying towards the screen with her fist pulled back to deliver a massive blow.

"You bastaaaaarrrddd!!!" she screamed and slammed her fist with the force of a high speed rocket into the screen. Just as she was about to land her blow, a transparent shield covered the screen and blew the angry blonde back when she made contact. "What the hell was that!?" asked the still pissed off Yang.

"That would be my doing," answered Ethan, flashing into view and immediately dodging a vicious right hook aimed for his head.

Yang seethed as he dodged her punch and said angrily, "I don't care if you're some powerful interdimensional being, you're gonna send me to that bastard Torchwick or bring him here so that I can kick his fucking ass for hurting my sister! Or I'm gonna beat the shit out of you until you do!"

"Yang what are you doing!? I'm fine! You don't need to do this!" Ruby said desperately trying to stop her sister from angering the person who could literally wipe them all out with a snap of his fingers.

"I know that wasn't 'you' Ruby, but no matter what world we're in you'll always be my little sister and I swore to protect you no matter what! So even if it's a 'Ruby' from another world I'll keep her safe, and no one is gonna stop me!" Yang shouted passionately, making Ruby and everyone else look at her with love, pride, shock and in Weiss's case, a little jealousy that her leader had an older sibling that would do so much for her.

"I must say Yang; you truly are either brave or stupid to threaten me even after you witnessed what I am capable of."

Yang brought her hands up and stood in her stance, despite not having Ember Celica her punches could still do massive damage and the fact that her anger was fuelling her anger at the moment would probably double the amount of strength she could produce.

"I don't care what you say, either send me to that Torchwick or bring him here, or else I'll beat you until you do!" the buxom blonde threatened.

Taiyang stood up to stop his daughter from doing something foolish when he and everyone else but Yang was pulled into their seats with glowing belts holding them in place.

"Not to worry, you'll all be free once Yang and I have settled this dispute." Said Ethan and then snapped his fingers, causing the rows of seats to move away and give him and Yang space to fight.

Getting into his own stance, Ethan extended his left arm and made a 'come on' gesture with his hand,

With a yell, Yang rocketed towards Ethan and threw her fist forward to end the fight in one blow, but the host just shifted his weight and deflected the punch with ease. With a growl of frustration Yang attacked with a flurry of heavy blows, but just his fight with Ren, Ethan just blocked or evaded the attacks.

"Stay still and let me hit you!" screamed Yang angrily, frustrated at her failed attempts to land a solid blow.

"Well that's not really an incentive for me stay still now is it?" quipped Ethan back. "C'mon stop trying to hit me and hit me!" he taunted.

Now even more pissed off, Yang's attacks were becoming sloppy and predictable.

"You know the funny thing about anger. Once you let it consume you-"

Yang suddenly lost sight of her opponent when she heard a voice behind her.

"You lose sight of everything."

Spinning around, Yang tried to back-hand Ethan, but he ducked the blow and countered with an uppercut to her jaw and shattering her aura instantly, the force lifted the girl off the floor and sent straight into the ceiling. A few seconds passed before gravity took over and the now unconscious brawler fell straight to the floor.

"YANG!/Miss Xiolong!" shouted everyone as she fell but were instantly relieved when Ethan caught her in his arms and gently laid her on the ground.

"Yang! Is she ok?!" asked a frantic Tai as he took his daughter into his arms. Ethan snapped his fingers and everyone watched as Yang glowed for a few seconds as her aura fully recharged.

The girl began to stir,"D-dad? What happened?" she groaned out.

"You got knocked the hell out!" piped Nora.

"I did?" she asked groggily and the memory of the one sided fight hit her at once. Looking up, she saw the concerned faces of her father and her teammates. "Did I at least lose with a Yang?"

Cue everyone face vaulting.

"She's fine if she's making those horrible puns," groaned Ruby.

"Hey my puns a Yangtastic!"

Cue more groaning.

"As much as I enjoy hearing awful puns, I hope you've learned something from our little scuffle." Said Ethan finally.

"You I was supposed to learn something from that beatdown?" asked Yang sceptically.

Nodding, Ethan explained, "Your anger, while it can give you a brief increase in strength, it blinds you and makes you sloppy and predictable. I've seen many warriors lose themselves in their rage and get beaten by someone who they should have been able to bat easily."

Yang looked down at hearing this, her father and uncle had constantly told her that her temper would be a problem for her, but she had ignored them and preferred to use her brawn over her brain.

"I'm not saying this to be cruel, I'm telling you this because if you don't start fighting smarter, you'll not only get yourself killed, but others as well, especially those closest to you."

Yang's head snapped up at that, the thought of losing her loved ones, especially her sister had always been one of her greatest fears and that she could be the cause of that hammered home the fact that she would need to start making some serious changes to the way she fought.

"I…I understand, thank you, I promise I'll learn to think before I act and not just charge in headfirst. It might take a while to unlearn how I've always fought but I'll do it, no matter how long it takes!" said Yang humbly and passionately, making Ethan and the others nod in approval and Ruby and Nora cheer in support. She then faced her father who had a proud look on his face.

"Once we get out of here, I'll train you to be the best you can be." Said Tai. Yang smiled and gave her father a quick but loving hug, "Thanks dad, you're the best."

"Good, now how bout we take a little break before we continue?"

Everyone agreed and got up from their seats to chat until the next scene would play.
