Love The Way You Lie
Author's Note: Hey everoyone and welcome back to Love The Way You Lie! Okay, so we have finally made it to the end of the Yamada family arc and also Kenzou's life. So I have one more "major arc" I'm doing before I decide to wrap this fic up and move onto the sequel.
Additional Notes: What would you guys think of a chapter about our Future Trio going back to their own time and showing some into the future of their time? I'm debating rather or not I want to do it or not. I am still debating on how/what I'm doing with BakuShin and DekuTodo. I'm working on an idea with BakuShin in this chapter so hopefully it works.
Anyway, this is where some of those changes I mentioned before previously start coming into play. This is also a "cool down" chapter from the chaos that was the last three xD anyway, enjoy! I wasn't sure how I was gonna play out some of these things I wanted to do but with me planning on doing a sequel, I have plently of time to put them into play xD
Chapter Twenty Six: If We Have Each Other (by Alec Benjamin)
Chapter Summary: Following the fight against Kane, U.A. is left recuperating. The U.A. staff agrees a much needed vacation for their students and teachers are in order and set them up at a resort. Midoriya and Bakugou have a heart to heart. U.A. gets some answers from the Future Trio. Though the fight is not finish yet, Aizawa has plans to take even further action against the people responsible for all the trauma that his family and students have gone through.
The past months had been rough on U.A. No one had thought initially that it wouldn't of been caused by the League of Villains but instead an outside force. Kenzou Yamada was finally dead and Kaede Shigaraki had been taken into police custody. The damage to the dorms had been more extensive than originally thought and the school had been shut down for repairs from the fight.
Shouta sat in his own, his pups and students off campus with some of the pro heroes at a local beach for a cool down. His fear of the League attacking them was minimal, though Shigaraki had made it clear that he wasn't done with them, he had a feeling that the League would still lay low for a while before they had to worry about them again. The League had risked their own capture to come to their aid and to Dabi's. He would still stand by his decision to allow the League to leave that day. The heroes were in no shape to fight and the League members were still practically fresh despite being pushed back by Kane.
The Omega rocked in the rocking chair, his newborn pup securely in his arms. The little pup suckling on a bottle of fresh milk as he just looked down at the small human. So many events had lead to this. To allow him to hold his newborn child. Not a day would go by that he wouldn't be forever grateful to his students and Hawks for keeping him and Kazuto safe.
After a moment, the pup was finished with the bottle and Shouta lifted the babe to his shoulder and proceeded to pat him on the back until he released the air out of his chest and tummy. Shouta smiled softly as Kazuto was quick to fall asleep not even a second after being laid back securely into his arms. The Omega carefully stood up from the chair, wincing slightly from the remaining pain in his abdomen left from child birth. Moving over until he placed Kazuto down in his crib and silently crept out of the room. Clicking the door shut and grabbing the baby monitor that was on the table by the door, he placed it on the belt of his sweats and started down the halls.
He paused as he got to the living space, seeing Hizashi sitting on the couch staring down at his hands. He didn't say a word as he walked over and took a seat on the other side and curled his feet up underneath him and kept his eyes on his former mate. Bruises littered Hizashi's body on the exposed skin that Shouta could see. His hair was cut jagged from the quick swipe of the blade that had gone through it. His lip was busted open but no longer bled. There was still some blood dried on his jacket from the fight that he had yet to change out of. Hizashi seemed to notice quickly that Shouta's eyes were on him and he looked over with a slight smile.
"It's finally over isn't it?" Hizashi whispered.
Shouta shrugged. "I'm not so sure. There are so many unanswered questions. Those kids who showed up... what happened with Hawks. I think there is a lot more than just what Kane and Kaede did." The Omega stated. "The fight against the ring is over, yes. Though I don't think it was just them involved anymore."
Hizashi cast him a look. Shouta wasn't sure if he should read it as confusion or agreeing. It had always been hard to read exactly what the blonde was thinking. Even more so now. "Just as long as if those kids are safe. They fought when they didn't have to."
Shouta hummed. "Some of their own had been hurt by that man. I don't think anything would have stopped them from going. Even if I hadn't been in a compromised position."
"You think so."
Shouta shrugged. "I know so. We've seen time and time again most of those kids don't know how to stop meddling." He paused, shifting on the couch to get into a more comfortable position. "You know, they never stopped believing in you. Not a day went by that they didn't still address you as sensei."
Another smile came to Hizashi's face. "I really don't deserve it. I deserve nothing from them. I hurt those kids just as much as I hurt you. They should condemn me for my actions."
Shouta sighed. "They won't. Those kids know that the world isn't just black and white. Especially after Hawks came to U.A. they started to see things in a different light. They hold information with a grain of salt now." Shouta said, leaning back against the couch and looking up to the ceiling. "They opened their arms to Dabi when he first showed up. I do think part of that was because of what he had done for Eri, and than finding out that he was Touya Todoroki. Bakugou really was the only one who still held Dabi for his actions. At least what they showed. Those kids aren't blind. They saw something in you that you never saw in yourself."
Hizashi took in a deep breath, picking at his finger nails as he went. "I want them to hold me accountable. I still turned against hero society. I turned my back on them. I turned my back on my son. Probably made him second guess himself again... and I turned my back against you. Hell, I tried to kidnap you, Shouta. I should be held responsible." He paused, a laugh escaping his throat. "I still don't understand why Endeavor did what he did by lying to the cops. He could of just watched as I got arrested and charged for my crimes. Which should have happened."
Shouta made a noise in the back of his throat, finally getting Hizashi to look at him. "I think Endeavor has more than one reason for what he did. Endeavor is still trying to own up to his own past actions with his family. Maybe, he's wanting to give the same to you in his own way. You did help bring Shouto back to U.A. when he was kidnapped by Kane. It was probably his way of repaying you."
"Even Hawks, Tsukauchi, and Nezu lied for me. They had no reasons to. Hawks just jumped in and said I was working with him." Hizashi added.
"Well you technically did work with him. The raid of the ring was because of the information you and Dabi provided." Shouta paused. "I don't think lying to the police was right but as I said, the world isn't black and white. You fall into that grey area. You've done a lot of bad things that you should be punished for but you've realized your mistakes and started working to fix them in your own way. Take this as an opportunity to become Present Mic again. Not just that villain's kid. If you won't do it for yourself, do it for Hitoshi.. for Eri and Kazuto. They still need you. Eri only sees the good in you. From where she was before, trying to change that won't do any good."

Midoriya forced himself to breathe as him and Bakugou sparred, throwing punches back and forth without the use of their quirks. They were on a nearby training field to keep themselves busy as the dorms were worked on by Cementoss and Nezu. The teachers quick at work to try and repair the damage done from the battle. Their teachers had told them they were hoping to have their dorms completed before the end of the night but also had to repair Class B's dorms as well. Now it was just to the students to stay out of their way. Most of the other students were at a local beach but they had elected to stay behind.
Midoriya huffed as he threw another punch, the frustration going through him from the events of the last couple of days. Shoto refused to talk to him at all since the day of the fight and had been doing everything in his power to absolutely avoid him at all costs.
Bakugou paused for a moment, pulling away as Midoriya bent over heaving in air. "Deku?" He questioned. Midoriya looked up through a shield of green hair as Bakugou reached over and grabbed a water to give it to him. Midoriya took it with a nod of thanks. "Something's on your mind."
Midoriya groaned as he let himself fall back into the dirt, his arms out next to him. Bakugou took a seat down next to him, having grabbed another water bottle to drink from himself. "It's Shoto." Bakugou didn't say anything back to him but instead listened to what Midoriya was telling him. "He's avoiding me. Ever since the fight here at U.A... He won't talk to me."
Bakugou scoffed. "You really don't get what you did, do you?"
Midoriya perked up slightly, turning his head to look at his childhood friend. "What do you mean?"
Bakugou didn't look back at him, rather looking out at the field they had been training in. "After Aizawa-sensei gave birth and was recovering and we were deciding to go into the fight... you second guessed his decision. Shoto has been working his ass off to get back to where he was before he was kidnapped. Our words didn't matter to him but yours did. The person who is supposed to be with him, second guessing his decision to want to go and fight."
Midoriya leaned back up into a sitting position. "I was worried. Kane was the one leading the raid and that villain is the one who put Shoto in that position."
Bakugou finally turned to look at him. "You have every right to feel that way but that's not the point. You were thinking like an Alpha protecting his Omega. Not thinking of Shoto's true feelings and intentions that day. Look away from our secondary gender and think of the person. I've said a lot of shitty things in my life and things I regret. I've learned that my words hold power over the person." He paused, taking another drink from his water. "Shoto wasn't thinking like a victim. He was thinking like a hero."
Midoriya nodded as he turned to look at the dirt. "I see." He stopped, looking back over to Bakugou. "I haven't seen you and Hitoshi hanging around each other lately. Something happen with you?"
Bakugou shrugged. "We've grown apart in the last couple of months. I don't blame him with everything going on with his family. So much shit going on with his family and he needs to be there with them. I'm not going to stop him either. That's where he needs to be. Not focused on me." He stopped, taking in a deep breath. "I will always care for him and want the best for him but I don't think that he needs a relationship right now. He needs to focus on what he wants with his life."
Midoriya frowned. "Does he know?"
Bakugou nodded. "We've talked about it and he agreed with me."
Midoriya's mouth dropped open. "Does that mean?"
"Yeah, we broke up a few weeks ago. We split on good terms." The blonde stated. "Maybe, take a step back and give Shoto some space. The last couple of months have been nothing but stressful on a lot of people. Shoto being one of the biggest ones out of all of them. Aizawa-sensei, Hitoshi.. Dabi, Hawks, Eri.. all of them. Even our classmates." Bakugou sighed, standing up from the ground and motioning for Midoriya to follow him. "Just think about what is best for you and Shoto. I'm not saying run out and break things off with him. Think about what you two truly need and want right now. Mine and Hitoshi's situation is not the same as yours. So don't take me telling you this as break it off."
Midoriya nodded. "Yeah, you're right." He paused for a moment, gaining his composure as he pushed himself off of the ground. "Lets continue."

Shouta found himself sitting in his normal chair in the conference room, surrounded by the other U.A. teachers and Nezu directly next to him. Hawks sat to the other side of him, respectfully as the current acting Class 1-A Homeroom teacher. They were also joined by the mysterious three kids that Shouta had deducted were indeed the older versions of Minato Todoroki, Kazuto Aizawa, and Koyuki. The two children that Hawks had saved at the main building of the trafficking ring and his own newborn son. Maybe, they were finally going to get answers. Meddling with time was something that was unheard of.
Currently, in this time, Koyuki's quirk was unknown but from what he saw, her quirk is the reason that they were here. From what he was told from the foster agency that the kids were currently at, Minato had been displaying signs of a powerful fire quirk that had pyrokinetic abilities. From what he learned from Midoriya and Hitoshi, Kazuto had a form of enchanting quirk but what was also displayed on the battlefield, showcased a enhacing ability that summed down to his voice. Hitoshi had been saved by Kazuto by the teenager using his quirk to put Kenzou in some sort of trance but during the fight, he used his quirk again to strengthen the others around him. It was two seperate applications to his quirk that he never would of seen coming.
The beginning of this meeting had started as what U.A. was going to do with the aftermath of the fight. With an unanimous vote, the staff and students were gaining a vacation to a resort that a lot of the pro heroes tended to go to. It didn't shock Shouta in the slightest that all the hero course students ended up in the fight. Whenever the attack started, he had a gut feeling that as soon as his students got an opening, that they were immediately going to rush to the front lines.
At that moment, not a word was being said between any of them. Just pure silence. His eyes lingered on the trio. Minato sat without a care, Koyuki looked around the room and anywhere but them, and Kirito kept his eyes planted on the table, fidgetting with his fingers.
"I think I will start this off. We need to know why you three are here. You are clearly not from this time so I will ask for minimal details." Nezu stated, "What brought you to U.A? Especially during a critical moment that you had showed up in?"
Minato and Kirito shared looks as Koyuki finally looked over to them. "I believed that we didn't have a choice. Somehow, our future was being changed by decisions made in this time. Like time itself had been changed. We came to correct it." She paused for a moment, reaching into her pocket and pulling out a phone that had been given back to her after the fight. It had been found by the police when Kaede was apphrended. "There is only so much I can say without the fear that I might end up changing the timeline again. I hope when we go back that we at least fixed what had been tampered with."
Shouta leaned forward in his seat, contemplating how he would ask this next question without forcing to much details to come out about the future. This was a very sensative situation. One wrong move could cause a rift into the timeline for the future. He just hoped that whatever these three were aiming to do, they did it without major reprecussions.
"That phone you have. The police pulled a recent video off of it and that video showed some very distrubing accusations against the Hero Commission. I want to know just how true they are. Whatever you say won't leave this room." Shouta paused, "After Hawks was brought to U.A. by Hizashi and what I heard him say to Tokoyami, I knew that the Hero Commission had to play some role into what happened to him." He finished, watching closely to how the three were reacting to him. By the look on each of their faces, his own suspicions had to be true. The Hero Commission was somehow involved with the ring. Just how much they were was the question.
"Hawks-san, I owe you everything. Because of you, I went from that hell hole to something greater." Minato started, finally making eye contact with them. "I'm sure you guys will know soon enough on what happened to me but because of you, I got there. The Hero Commission betrayed you, in more than one form."
Hawks nodded. "I figured as much. When I had been captured by Kane, he showed every intention of using my true dynamic against me. I had been with the Commission since I was very young, I don't remember much of my time before than and most Omegas and Alphas don't present with a heat or rut until puberty despite already knowing their dynamic from birth. I wouldn't of known this from what I found out." He stopped, shivering for a moment. "I didn't even know drugs like that existed or maybe they were even made specifically for me. Who knows. All I know is, I have to somehow get my life back from the Commission before I do anything. It was obvious they had plans for me to be used within the ring somehow. However, my main concern right now is how children such as Touya when he was younger and Shoto had been targeted."
Recovery Girl hummed from her place at the table. "I think I could answer that. I did some digging with Dr. Nakamura and we went over some records and found that Kaede had been working at the hospitals that treated injuries for them when they were younger. I believe that's how she found them and with her credentials, got ahold of their medical records and went from there." The woman stated.
"There is only so much we can say without fear of messing with the future so hopefully this video evidence will help." Koyuki stated. "All we wanted to do was help and fix our time too. We don't have knowledge of what exactly happened after the battle, all we know is what we have in our files."
Nezu hummed softly, listening intently as the three continued explaining the best that they could. "Thank you for that information. That will be vital in what our next step will be."
Shouta growled, gaining the attention of the rest of the room. "I want to go after them. After them all. The Hero Commission played a part in what happened with this ring. As far as I'm concerned. They are villains."
