Family Matters CHAPTER 26

May was piloting the bus, they had the location of Ian Quin the man that shot her daughter she let the silent rage build up at the thought of catching the man that hurt her baby and all the ways she could punish him. That was why she was sort of hoping he would put up a fight, they were going in expecting him to put up a fight.

"Hey." Skye greeted her mother as she entered the cockpit claiming the co pilot seat.

"Are you okay?" May asked looking her over trying to see her mental well being simply by looking at her. This made Skye smile as she claimed the seat.

"I'm going to be fine mom." Skye replied "I have you watching over me." Skye added when May was going to respond that she didn't believe her at her daughter's words she remained silent. Both of them stared out the window in a comforting silence.

They arrived at an air base Coulson had organized everything they would need, which is why they were currently in the command room once again going over the plan in great detail as they all knew the importance of this mission. Skye noticed that both Fitz and Simmons kept sending her looks through this briefing and she could particularly see Simmons worry on her face. Skye knew that it was Jemma that saved her and helped her get better and what it did to her seeing her friend in that state after all they had discussed this and Jemma confirmed their friend status. Skye was ready for this mission, she wanted to get it done with so they could put this behind them for good.

They moved out to the Villa, a very luxurious villa with a small private army protecting him. They knew this seeming Skye had hacked the satellites in the area and they had a thorough plan all ready for this. May was staying close to Skye, she was not going to let them out of her sight. Fitz and Simmons would be staying in the car down the road a fully bullet-proof-tamper-proof car. May and Skye had snuck in the back as Bobbie and Hunter would be causing a distraction for the guards. Trip was with Coulson they had the east exit covered. They were all armed with ICERS…the shooting had begun. May and Skye worked in silence May taking the lead she ran and took down two guards with so much ease it was like they were novices (they weren't May was just that good). Skye shot another three watching them drop just as May took down the last one. May had an Icer on her but she was not using it, she was using her fists. They were now inside, Fitz was in their ear telling them where they should go. Simmons was keeping them updated of the others progress.

"When you turn left you will come across two…" Fitz didn't even finish seeming they had taken them down. "Okay if you want to be like that. Next turn you have three guards standing in front of a door." Fitz stated "Quin should be behind that door." He finished. So when Skye and May turned the corner Skye simply held out her hand sending all three guards through the door, not only breaking the door but also the frame. May looked over at her to check if she was okay she could see the determination on her face. The pair of them entered the room…

It was empty…

"Fitz?" Skye asked

"Hang on." Fitz stated as he typed something on his tablet. "Okay, there is a side door on the right." He stated so May and Fitz took to the door after May had secured the three guards (shooting them with an icer) May and Skye ran through the door which led to a small space in the wall, they had to go single file.

"Fitz where does this lead to?" Skye asked

"Please hold." Fitz stated typing some more. "Okay, this should lead to Coulson."

"Should?" May asked

"It's not really on the plans, and the satellite only gives us so much." Fitz stated

Coulson and Trip had entered the house after dealing with the guards on the east side, Coulson was trying to ignore the banter between Hunter and Bobbie but according to Simmons they were doing really well considering they had a small army in front of them. Trip was an expert marksman and Coulson was not as rusty as he used to be as they took down one guard after another. Coulson had sent the device that Fitz had made on the cars on the east side disabling them.

"Coulson heads up, Quin should be heading your way." Simmons stated both he and Trip had their guns at the ready but had to take cover from a gunman.

"Can you get a shot?" Coulson shouted over the automatic gun.

"No." Trip shouted without sticking his head out trip stuck his gun and fired in the general direction of the gunman before he had to move as he was now the target of the rapid gunfire. Giving Coulson an opening to sneak a peak. He saw Quin run behind the gunman.

"Quins going out back." Coulson shouted he went to shoot but saw that Skye had broken through the wall with her powers knocking out the gunman. She didn't stop she gave chase to Quin. Coulson leaned back against the wall and waved May after Skye. Trip moved over to Coulson,

"You good?" He asked

"Yeah, just terrified." Coulson smiled back before climbing to his feet, he still had a job to do.

Skye sent Quin flying through the back wall to outside, May had taken down the guards that Skye was not focusing on. Skye had her icer out and at the ready a Quin looked up at her, his lip was bleeding and he looked all dusty as he gave a small laugh.

"I should have gone for the head." He stated

"Don't do it." Skye stated seeing the look her had as he started reaching for something. She fired her icer only to discover she was out of bullets, at this he smiled. Skye held out her hand. "Stop moving." Skye stated but he didn't stop.

"You don't have what it takes." He stated his hand was now behind him, he pulled something out. Just as Skye went to use her powers May shot him in the head with a gun she took from a guard. Skye flinched at the sound of the gunshot and turned to look at her mother who was walking over to her.

"You hesitated." May stated kicking the gun out of Quin's hand not that it would do him any good now.

"I haven't killed anyone with my powers before." Skye stated, she was scared that if she started to use it on him she wouldn't stop. May pulled her in for a hug. "It's over." Skye mumbled

"It's over." May repeated not helping the small sigh.

"We should go, I want to check on the others." Skye stated, she saw Coulson and Trip in the doorway, it had now gone eerily quiet. This fight was over she just hoped that Clint and the others were doing okay.
