Chapter 26
Zelda Spellman had gathered her sister, her niece and even Wednesday herself for this round table like meeting.
"This is not very easy for me to say it, but I feel that both of you deserve to know the truth, and that there is something that has been kept from the both of you in regards to...your men." Zelda said and immediately Wednesday dropped her wine glass from shock as her normal stoic face morphed into that of eyes wide horror.
"Oh no...Lucas is seeing another woman! AA! It's my fault! I'm a bad wife that drove him into the arms of another! Not surprising that he'd want someone else than some boring shrew that nagged him for 20 years now!" Wednesday said all of a sudden in a sad lament as she then started to pace back and forth across the room.
"Mr Kinkle is...but then...oh no! Harvey! He's also...!" Sabrina then followed suit as now they both where pacing around the room in a kriss kross manner like two moons, of great lunacy, orbiting around the planet of sanity that was Zelda who was feeling a headache coming on as Hilda tried to hide her amusement.
"It's all my fault!"
"It's all my fault!"
"ALL MY FAULT!"
"ALL MY FAULT!"
They started a self-blaming contest before the sadness was replaced by anger and hatred.
"We'll find the sluts that took our men away!" Wednesday said.
"And then after we deal with them we'll make them love us again or die trying!" Sabrina said and Zelda immediately moved to block the door before these two lunatics could continue.
"Stop! They are not cheating on you!" Zelda said to them, stopping them in their vengeful tracks.
"Oh! Thank Hell for that!" Sabrina said with a smile
"Yeah they are both upstanding guys...nice guys...guys that women go for after their bad boy phase." Wednesday added with worry.
"Oh my...that's what happened to me! NO! NOT MY HARVEY!"
"NEVER MY LUCAS!"
"STOP IT YOU MAD WOMEN! Can't either of you not think about sex for once!" Zelda shouted in exasperation at dealing with two emotionally unstable witches.
"What I was trying to inform both of you is that Lucas and Harvey are...part of an initiative from Heaven to exterminate witch kind." Zelda said to them.
At that both Sabrina and Wednesday started chuckling in amusement.
"We are serious! Think about it! Freya married a mortal and gave birth to a mortal, your mother Morticia married that mortal son, your brothers are both mortals, you husband and both your sons are mortals. That makes over 3 generations of warlocks missing from one of the most powerful witch bloodlines!" Zelda said to them, making the laughing stop as the two witches looked to her in stunned silence.
"Wait...but that means that...Harvey would have gone for any witch, as long as she was a witch?" Sabrina said as tears came to her eyes.
"And my Lucas too!" Wednesday said in pained horror as she pulled at her hair in despair.
Zelda lit up a cigarette to calm herself down, leave it to Sabrina and Wednesday that upon being confronted with a genocide of their kind that they would be preoccupied with its implications on their love life.
"Ugh, to be fair now, maybe they aren't aware of it. I mean maybe they are unwitting pawns of Heaven, like how the Dark Lord tried to trick you Sabrina dear." Hilda offered and this stopped both of them.
"You really think so?"
"You really think so?"
They both said at the same time with hope in their voice.
Zelda could not help but chuckle at that. This was proof that the Harvey boy had an Oedipus complex, since it was getting harder and harder to tell Wednesday and Sabrina apart.
"Why don't we just settle this by taking a look in the past." Zelda said and pulled out a mirror and placed it on the table as the 4 witches gathered around it.
"Secrets carried by the winds of the east, reveal yourself to us." Zelda said.
"Secrets carried by the winds of the west, reveal yourself to us." Hilda said
"Secrets carried by the winds of the north, reveal yourself to us." Sabrina added
"Secrets carried by the winds of the south, reveal yourself to us." Wednesday said as they then all poured a cup of water on the mirror as the reflection changed and they pierced into the past.
Xxxxxxxxxxxx.
It was a deep dark winter of centuries ago as the sound of gunfire was heard all around the forest. A young Freya tried to keep herself small and hidden as she heard the gunshots of the hunters go all around.
Hearing the sound of an owl above her, Freya could not help herself, the winter was hard and the game was all being rounded up by the hunters, so she grasped a rock, enchanted it into an arrow and made if fly, striking the owl just as it noticed Freya and tried to escape.
The bird fell on the ground...right at the feet of one of the hunters, who then turned his gaze and saw Freya in her hiding spot, she now more vulnerable after launching the arrow.
"That's my grandfather!" Wednesday said as they looked at the sight of the witchunter and the fearful witch.
Then they saw the moment that made this timeline diverge from others. The hunter gently bent over and grabbed the owl and then held it out to her and slowly approached her.
Freya felt like running, but the hunger was to great and she slowly inched forward and both met the other half way as Freya with hesitating hands, and body ready to bolt at a moment's notice, like a wolf she took the dead owl.
"Hardrada." The hunter said.
"F-Freya." She replied and when the hunter smiled and tipped his hat a bit to her she could not help but blush a bit.
"If you go west then there is game a plenty there, and it's far enough that we have no interest in hunting there."
"T-thank you for telling us this."
"My pleasure, the west is untamed land, enough for...even a village...far away from Greendale...far enough...that...our contract would be fulfilled." The 4 witches in the present heard and felt impressed with Hardrada's attempts to find a solution to their conflict, one that all sides could benefit.
"Where is it?" Freya asked.
"Come back tomorrow here and I'll show you the path to it." Hardrada replied with a smile.
The hunter then started walking backwards, eyes on her until he was at a far enough distance until he could safely turn around.
The talk he had with Freya had delayed him enough that he could not make good time back to his camp, a great snow storm came over the forest and as such he knew that he would not make it in time to their camp before it got to cold and dark.
Hardrada then saw a light at the top of a mountain, a cabin was there!
Making his way up he knocked on the door hard.
"Please! Please! I...I have food!" Hardrada said and then the locks on the door opened and once that happened the 4 witches where shocked to see Grila holding a baby, and behind her another witch peaked over her shoulder, another witch that was also holding a baby.
Hardrada immediately held up the two rabbits and one great bear forearm that was his share of today's hunt.
"Half is yours if you shelter me from the night...and give me bread and salt." At the second half of Hardrada's words the two women relaxed a bit. They let him in after sharing bread and salt, the ancient custom of guest's rights was not in effect.
The woman took one of the hares and half of the bear meat and started cooking. And while that happened Hardrada realized where he was, this was a witch house and he was a tired and hungry hunter.
But even so, guest rights where guest rights, so Hardrada let sleep take him.
When he awoke hours later it was to the pleasant smells of meat soup. Hardrada shared a silent and tense meal with the two witches and their babies, but when he took out his jaggermeister horn, the tension dispelled a bit with the spirits in effect.
Too much effect, in fact the rest of the night was not restful at all for Hardrada, but the night was cold, both of their husbands had been gone for a long time, and Hardrada had not been with a woman for long.
So they put aside their differences and sought warmth pleasure to ward away the cold, cold night.
Morning came soon after and Hardrada departed the two witches.
"Thank you for sheltering me." Hardrada said and the witches nodded in return, all 3 of them knew of what happened tonight.
"Thank you for keeping us warm." Grila said and Hardrada blushed a bit and smiled as he took his remaining hare and half of the bear meat and headed back to camp. Ready to enjoy a peaceful day.
And that was when the 4 witches where shocked to see Hardrada being smacked in the face by the Arch Angel Michael.
"Did you think that we would not know?"
"My lord, please, I just tried to do the Cristian thing and show kindness to all." Hardrada said fearfully.
"THE CHRISTIAN THING!? You are a hunter, your place is to kill witches on sight! You let one escape in the forest, then found a cabin with two witches and two witchlings and you not only let them live, but you shared your food and bedded them!" Michael said with anger.
"My...My lord...I just...I Didn't want things to end in bloodshed." Hardrada said and cowered on the ground, covering his head as he waited for another blow to come.
"And how do you think this will end if you show them mercy? Do you think the witches in the cabin will give you shelter again? Do you think that the witch in the woods will be your friend? Or that maybe she too will spread her legs and become lovers and then you all can raise little witches and little hunters together? What an idea!" Michael said in disgust, then realization struck him as his face shifted from anger and into elation.
"WHAT AN IDEA! You little genius!"
"My...my lord."
"Of course! This...this a two pronged strategy! Seduce the witches, that will make them leave their warlocks, dividing them in tow and even pitting them against each other. And if they give birth to hunters when we increase our numbers while decreasing their at the same time! Oh you little genius! This plan is so deliciously evil! But...it needs something extra! Lord Raphael!"
Michael summoned the Arch Angel of medicine as he then ordered the Von Kunkle Clan to gather.
"Yes Captain?" Raphael asked.
"Make the others like this one."
"Of course sir." Raphael said and his fingers then turned into syringes and, moving with the speed of sound, he stabbed Hardrada in the back of the head and extracted a liquid from him that shinned like a ray of sunlight.
Raphael then held up his other hand and tentacles with syringes emerged from them and stabbed every other hunter in the back of the head and started pumping them up with essence of Hardrada's soul.
"If I may my lord, there is a flaw in your plan, mortals are much frailer than witches as such that might be an issue."
"True, how do you recommend we solve this Raphael?"
"They would been to be toughened up, and the best way to do that is to have them do it to themselves. I propose we make them enjoy pain, that way they will seek out danger and blood sport and will become stronger by overcoming it. Also if the witches become violent with them instead of anger they will only become enamored by such actions, as such the witches will have an out lead for their darker urges and the hunters will reward them with affections, thus drawing the witches further away from the warlocks." Raphael suggested.
"Good, also inject them with open mindness, a lot of it, that way there will be no issue if they father witches who chose magic, at the very least we will ensure that no more warlocks are born of such a union." Michael offered.
"What makes you so sure that the boys will not want to become warlocks?"
"Lord Raphael, name one son who does not look up to his father for guidance?" Michael said as the two shared a smile as they continued to alter the Von Kunkle Hunter clan.
"What...what happened?" Hardrada said as the process ended and the entire clan looked around in confusion.
"Just a small blessing, now then, I believe you have an appointment with that...Freya witch, do you not? Here, take this." Michael said and handed him some tinker bells from the snowy ground.
"And find out if she is married, if not then that's good, it's about time you find a wife, is it not? And the same goes for all you bachelors. There are plenty of witches who have no husbands." Michael said and saw how the faces of the witchunters became delighted at the prospect of marrying witches.

The mirror image changed again, this time they saw Wednesday's father Gomez as he was nervously looked at the door where Ophelia and Morticia were about to enter.
Ophelia was...not Gomez's type, Morticia was and the moment that that happened the 4 witches saw how Lord Michael appeared and whispered in Gomez's right ear.
"That woman, unlike her sister, is a witch. Witches are the best women, your mother is one, so they would get better along. Go!" Michael said and Gomez nodded, Michael had stoked the fire inside Gomez.
Michael then moved to Morticia and still unseen whispered:
"That's a mortal, not a warlock. Which is good, warlocks are jealous, possessive, lecherous drunks, mortals are good boys, good husbands. Go and get to know him better." Morticia nodded at that as the two future husband and wife starred into each other's eyes.
"So that's how love at first sight works." Wednesday commented as the image in the mirror shifted again.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This time the image shifted to a nursery, where a little boy was playing with dolls.
"Hello Lucas, my name's Michael, I am your clan's patron, well...you call it middle class now. And let's see what we have here. Oh no,no,no! You can't be playing with those dolls, at least not without a few modifications." Michael said and with a wave of his hand the dolls shifted into dolls that had the girls dressed as old time witches and the boys as hunters and knights.
"That's more like it. Now, now to condition you to horror and magic." Michael said as he made fire and lighting appear from his hand, making the young boy giggle, then he waved his hands and made macabre programs and horror flicks appear on Lucas's tv and radio when his parents were not looking.
The scene changed again to New York, where Michael used a bow and arrow to shoot Luca's car tire, forcing him to walk towards his destination and trough Central Park, right when Wednesday was hunting and the pigeon she shot down fell at his feet.
The two lovers locked eyes and Michael was about to whisper in their ears again, but upon seeing the look they shared he decided that his further services where not needed, but the two's romance started clumsy as it both took the love-struck youth several minutes to form cohesive sentences.
"Hugh, starting young seems to work, but looks like more work is needed." Michael said as he though on how to improve the breeding program.

The mirror changed again, this time it showed another nursery, one where a toddler Tommy looked over his younger brother Harvey's crib and tried to push a meat cleaver trough the bars at the baby.
Wednesday came and took it away from Tommy, she looked at him with a glare, before she smiled and put the meat cleaver in the crib next to Harvey.
"Such a good big brother you are, wanting to give your favorite toy to your baby brother." Wednesday cooed as Tommy laughed in delight at Harvey getting his gift.
After that Tommy was put to bed in the same room and sleep overtook them. But not before Jerahmeel, the angel that appears in dreams visited them and showed them dreams of magic and witches, dreams that where in fact a shared dream with the other hunter descendants and the baby witches of similar age than them.
The mirror shifted again as Michael stood once more in the play room of the two Kinkle boys, this time Harvey was old enough to be in first grade, while Tommy was nearing middle school.
"Let's see if we can specialize our little stallions." Michael said as he once more whispered in their ear.
"There is no true woman except Sabrina Spellman, she is the greatest of them all, there is no joy in your life without her. And you Tommy will always respond with happiness, joy and kindness to any witch that tries to injure or kill you. Especially...if they are one of a Trinity." Michael whispered to both boys.
"S...Brina is the greatest..." Harvey muttered in his sleep.
"I'll be niece...and...have fun when a witch tries to kill me." Tommy also muttered in his sleep.
"Good, you will always be by her side, rush to help her when she is in trouble, catch her when she falls, adore her as a friend, love her as a woman, always be there for her be it as a friend or husband. Never hate her, NEVER!""
"Brina...I'll always help you Brina, I'll never abandon you. I'll never hate you Brina, never!"
"Never, ever, hate witches...like them..."
Michael smiled at the boys words. It had taken 3 centuries but he finally perfected the means to raise the boys and men needed to become good husbands for the witches.
Michael then turned directly towards the direction of the mirror and seemed to gaze through it.
"What is he doing?" Sabrina asked.
"He can't be...looking at us, right?" Hilda asked nervously.
"Impossible, this is the past, what we are seeing is like watching an tape recording. There is no way he could see us and what we are doing." Zelda said with an unsteady tone in her voice.
It was this uncertainty that made Wednesday give a tentative wave of the hand, one that Michael waved back at.
The panicked witches then immediately took a step back and closed the mirror spell.
In that moment the door opened and trough them came Tommy, Harvey and Lucas.
"What...what are you boys doing here?" Zelda said with shaky breath.
"The...the Arch Angel Michael came before us and said to enter this room at this exact time. Is everything allright?" Harvey asked the Aunties, his mother and Sabrina.
"No, no, it's not!" Sabrina said and rushed out of the room.
"Sabrina!" Harvey chased after her.
"What happened?" Lucas asked.
"I'll explain back at home. Tommy, call Agatha and prepare to tell her what I will reveal to you, she deserves the right to know as do the both of you...Oh my boys...my poor boys and my poor, suffering, darling husband." Wednesday said in lament as she hugged a confused husband and eldest son.

With Harvey and Sabrina.
"Brina, what is it?"
"It's my fault...again...oh why is it that everything I touch I poison! I am the devil's daughter after all." Sabrina said leaning against a tree and crying, her back at Harvey.
"W-what do you mean?"
"What you feel for me...it's not real."
"Of course it's real!"
"No it isn't! The angels...Lord Michael visited you, your father Lucas, your brother, your grandfather and every Kinkle and Addams man every night and day and...and they brainwashed you! They told you how to act, how to think, how to behave so that...you'd fall in love with witches...and you...Oh Harvey, you were trained...like a dog to fall in love with me!" Sabrina said could not bear to face Harvey from the shame of ruining his life.
"They...trained me? Trained us?" Harvey said in confusion.
"Yeah, you must hate me now, hate the Angels for...for making you go through that." Sabrina said and felt darkness overcome her, felt her heart becoming filled with anger and self-loathing as she fell towards the path of night, too much towards the darkness.
Only for a gentle hand to touch her shoulder.
"Hate the angels, hate you? For what? For having been tutored by one of the strongest and wisest beings in existence?" Harvey said gently.
Immediately Sabrina snapped her head back in shock and turned to look at him, disbelief on her face.
"Tutored? Harvey, they brainwashed you, trained you like an animal. Made you hop, roll over and beg like a circus act!" Sabrina said in outrage.
"That's what teachers do Sabrina! They all brainwash kids and they brainwash me towards kindness, goodness, understanding. How is that a bad thing?" Harvey said gently.
"But...but you were never given the choice!"
"Brina, do you remember when we use to stumble upon people with that dumb sexist 'stay in the kitchen' mentality?" Sabrina nodded on his words.
"Well they tried to convince us and we rejected them, and why? Because that was not us...we chose to reject it. Everything that Michael taught the men of our family where things we already had in our hearts, they just polished them...like polishing a diamond in the rough. Have you ever seen a rough diamond Brina? They look just like little rocks, side by side you can barely tell them apart. But if you polish and cut them you see that the little rocks no matter how much you polish them can never be diamonds, but a rough diamond will always shine bright. They polished me enough that I can shine enough to have the courage to stand tall in proud next to a greater diamond that shines ever brighter than I ever could, to stand next to you Brina, the light of my life, the light of this town, of this world." Harvey said gently and caressed her face.
Sabrina gave into his touch and hugged him, as she felt the darkness inside of her disappear, balance was restored as she was now no longer to down the path of night, but in equal measure to her dual nature. At balance again.
"You always could bring me back from the brink. Bring about the best in me. Harvey, what would you have done if I rejected you and chose someone else?" Sabrina asked.
"I would have been heartbroken, but...if I saw you happy then I would have...eventually also be happy for you...I would recover, but no other woman could ever replace you in my heart." Harvey whispered gently.
"Other woman?" Sabrina said with a tinge of jealousy and Harvey felt her grip tighten around him, he even felt his breathing become a bit strained. Needless to say this excited him.
"You're so cute when you're jealous." He teased.
"I'm not jealous! I know that you'd never look at another woman." She said with a gentle gaze in her eyes as she looked into Harvey's eyes. "It's all the other skanks in this world that are the problem." Before he eyes became hard and demon like, flashing red for a moment, as jealousy gripped her as a the sky darkened a bit.
Harvey bend down and kissed her at that. His gentle lips stopped Sabrina's rampage before it even started as slowly his lips moved down her neck and chest as the last of Sabrina's darkness was banished with Harvey's gentle love and kindness.
Sabrina then shifted and grabbed Harvey's neck and pushed him into a tree as she kissed back hard, hungry, desperate and with possessives in her touch.
"I'll make you love me! I know how to make you love me and only me!" Sabrina said with fierce determination and a predatory smile as Harvey grinned as she continued to devour him.
"I love you...KISS KISS KISS! I love you...KISS KISS KISS! You told me you loved me once...KISS KISS...When you gave me this necklace you said...KISS KISS...You loved me...KISS KISS! And I love you is forever Harvey!...KISS KISS! Say that you love me! Say it...SAY IT! KISS KISS." Sabrina begged but Harvey could not get a word out as Sabrina continued to consume him with passion
Xxxxxxxxxx Meanwhilexxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"I'll make you love me...KISS KISS! Even If I have to...KISS KISS...kill you...KISS and then myself...KISS KISS...I'll prove to you that no woman could ever love you more...KISS KISS...I will win your heart...KISS KISS...even if I have to rip my own beating heart from my chest...KISS KISS...I will make your heart beat for me and me alone...KISS KISS" Wednesday Addams said as she desperately kisser her husband.
Lucas was under a constant barrage of kisses, desperate kissed, from his wife Wednesday, while back at Notre Dame. Agatha did...something similar with Tommy. "I hate you...KISS KISS...I'll prove to you that no other witch can hate you...KISS KISS...like I can...KISS KISS." Agatha said between kisses.
Lucas did not bother to remind Wednesday that he did love her, that after a marriage of twenty years and two sons, there was ample proof that Lucas truly loved Wednesday Addams.
The Kinkle men decided to collectively not debate the actions of the woman in their lives. Uncle Fester's words coming to mind. That sometimes it was best to not to question what made the women in their lives happy or...desperate for that matter.
