Recap from last chapter: Nini noticed Ricky hadn't been coming to school so she went to his house and saw that he was in a bad spot mentally. To be a good friend she helped him clean up the house and he ended up kicking her out after. EJ just so happened to be walking past Ricky's house at the time and caught her leaving the house. She explained to him she was just being a good friend and they left. What happens next? Keep reading to find out.

Ms. Gen: Oh Ricky, you decided to bless us with your presence. How wonderful?

Ricky: I will be back unless I get sick or something happens with my family.

Ms. Gen: Okay so Beast auditions are today. I will tell you guys one thing, please do your best and use as much emotion as possible because this is a delicate musical. It hits close to home for a lot of people because of the fact they grew up with it.

Carlos: Okay, everyone make your way to the auditorium. If you are auditioning for beast I want you guys to make a line downstage when we get in there.

(They all make their way to the auditorium and the boys make a line)

Carlos: Are you guys ready?

The boys auditioning: Yes!

Carlos: EJ, you're first so get ready.

EJ: Okay.

Carlos: Read from page 32 please.

EJ: Who are you! What are you doing here?

Carlos: I was lost in the woods and...

EJ: You are not welcome here!

Carlos: I'm sorry.

EJ: What are you staring at?

Carlos: Noth-noth-nothing!

EJ: So, you've come to stare at the beast, have you?

Carlos: Please, I meant no harm! I just needed a place to stay.

EJ: I'll give you a place to stay!

Ms. Gen: And scene!

Carlos: Are we doing notes last? Or right after auditions?

Ms. Gen: Considering there is only two of them we can let them both audition and then we will give feedback.

Carlos: Okay Ricky you're next. We're doing the same scene.

Ricky: Who are you! What are you doing here?

Carlos: I was lost in the woods and...

Ricky: You are not welcome here!

Carlos: I'm sorry.

Ricky: What are you staring at?

Carlos: Noth-noth-nothing!

Ricky: So, you've come to stare at the beast, have you?

Carlos: Please, I meant no harm! I just needed a place to stay.

Ricky: I'll give you a place to stay!

Ms. Gen: And scene!

Carlos: Now for the feedback.

Ms. Gen: Both of you step forward please.

(He steps downstage)

Ms. Gen: I feel like you didn't channel enough inner anger. You yelled like the beast would but you didn't sound as mad as he really was when he found out someone was in his mansion. You lack the emotional connection needed to play this part, so channel your inner anger and you can try again at tomorrow's auditions otherwise the role goes directly to Ricky. Now Ricky, your performance was outstanding. You have just enough anger to make everyone in the room get those chills down their spine. You were firm and that is a good quality for this character so good job.

Carlos: We will be going back to class and you guys can have the last 10 minutes with free time.

(Everyone gets back to class)

EJ: It's like she favors him.

Nini: What?

EJ: He got to play Troy, now he's probably going to get to play Beast.

Kourtney: With that attitude he sure will. Stop acting like that. Take the critiques and manage it so you can do better next time. You still have a whole day.

Nini: Couldn't have said it better myself Kourt. She's right though EJ, stop downing yourself and giving him power to beat you the way he does.

EJ: Okay, you're right. I will go home and practice all night.

Nini: Acting is also about emotion. You can practice all you want and still lack the emotional connection. Think about something that has made you mad in the past and apply it to the character and you will be fine.

EJ: Okay thank you!

Kourtney: Well I should get going, see you later Nini.

EJ: You want to come over and help me practice bringing out my emotions better?

Nini: I can't, Kourtney and I have plans with Big Red and Ashlyn...and Ricky.

EJ: Why wasn't I invited?

Nini: I was mad at you for going through my phone. It was a prepaid event and no refunds were allowed so Ricky still decided he'd go for his money.

EJ: Oh okay then, you guys have fun!

Nini: Thank you, see you tomorrow?

EJ: Yeah, tomorrow.

(Nini leaves excited for the night they had in store meanwhile EJ couldn't seem to figure out whether or not he should find a way to stalk them and make sure Ricky doesn't make any moves on Nini)
