It was only when Sophie left the interrogation room that the revelation of the meeting seemed to stand before her, slapping her in the face with a bone-chilling reality check. Gethen was her biological father.

It seemed to be straight out of Star Wars, except this time, she was Luke Sky Walker, and Gethen was Darth Vader.

She had freaked out when she had discovered Oralie to be her biological mother, but this made her look like The Worlds #1 Mom.

When Sophie finally reached the restricting cell, she was convinced that she had driven herself out of her own mind. There Dex and Stina were, laughing together like maniacs.

Apparently Dex was doing an Alina impression, while Stina snorted trying to control her endless laughter. Leave it to those two dorks to goof off while being held hostage. Sophie thought, rolling her eyes. She couldn't bring herself to laugh after the events of the day.

Her friends seemed to finally notice Sophie, their laughter coming to a sudden halt.

They must've picked up on her mood, because their expressions turned deadly serious, and genuinely concerned.

"What happened?" Dex asked, after her escort had left the room. Sophie just sat down, staring into the distance.

There were no words to accurately describe what had happened in the span of only an hour. So she simply said, "Gethen is my biological father."

The expressions of shock on their faces mirrored what Sophie must've looked like.

"To be honest... that does kind of explain a lot," Dex finally said. "I mean, he is a telepath, and does slightly resemble you."

"Plus, that solves the mystery of how he is able to get past your blocking." Stina added in. They both looked at her. "What? Can't Forkle do the same thing? I mean, if Gethen was part of Project Moonlark he must have the same ability." she added.

"That actually makes sense." Sophie admitted.

"But that means he must have a password, something personal, like Mr. Forkle and Wonderboy," Dex said. "And maybe if we figure it out, we'll be able to stop him next time." he added.

"But it could literally be anything." Stina stated.

Sophie sighed, "Well, luckily we have plenty of free time."

Keefe and the others arrived back at Havenfield, hopeless and confused.

He had been hoping to sneak back upstairs, keeping their little mission a secret. He imagined the universe laughing at his wishful thinking: 'LOL NOOB!'

They walked inside to find, not only Grady and Edaline, but Mr. Forkle, Squall, Alden, and Della.

Wow, thanks universe. Keefe thought bitterly.

The adults glared, "You kids are in big trouble!" said Mr. Forkle.

Keefe sighed. He wished he could tell them that it was all worth it and give them the information they learned, but Keefe's behavior ruined everything once again. They hadn't even found out the location of his vision. Yeah, major fail. Add it to his long list.

"Meeting with Fintan was a reckless decision. He is dangerous, even detained. Manipulation is his greatest weapon." Mr. Forkle added.

Keefe was momentarily shocked that they knew where they were, and what they had set out to do. His face must've betrayed his emotions because Grady smirked, "You didn't really think that Flori wouldn't overhear your plan, did you?"

Keefe hadn't thought about that. He sighed, "Your right. We didn't even get the information we came for, but still had to try."

"Actually, while Gethen was trying to distract us with his lies, I was busy invading his mind." Fitz said proudly. "I have the location." he finished.

Keefe's relief was overwhelming, but another thought tugged at him. "But what if they weren't lies?" he asked.

"What do you mean?" Biana asked. "You don't think he could've been telling the truth?" she added.

"I don't know, but there's only one was to find out." Keefe sighed, "Are you Kenric?"

They all looked to Mr. Forkle with expectancy, along with a fair amount of curiosity.

Mr. Forkle became very interested in his boots.

"So it's true!" Keefe said in disbelief.

The Black Swan leader nodded.
