Today Trevor and Olivia are going out for dinner with Don and Liz he was excited and really looking forward to all of them going out together for a meal.
He drove them to where they are meeting Don and Liz, they are sitting at a table chatting waiting for them to arrive when Don sees them heading up to them.
They all greet each other before walking in to the restaurant and letting the waiter lend them to their table for the night.
It was the first time Trevor had spent any time with Don and Liz and he had thoroughly enjoyed his evening with them surprisingly. Although most of the meal, he was focused on Olivia
As they all sat around the table, Trevor spoke to Don and Liz when it fell quiet.
" I'm glad you both came and I do hope your having a great great time".
" I do hope we will be seeing you and Olivia outside of work a lot more".
Trevor looked at Liv and he decided then and there, he couldn't hold his tongue any longer or wait for a private moment. He fumbled around in his jacket pocket and felt the velvet ring box that was tucked away inside.
He cleared his throat and set his drink down. He knew if he didn't do it now, the opportunity would pass him by.
" While it has been a wonderful night of celebration, I think...since everyone is here, there is something I'd like to ask Olivia ." Trevor began as he stood up.
Liz looked up in surprise, she knew what was coming. Don just sat there with a smile on his face.
Trevor grabbed Olivia's left hand and rubbed his thumb over her fingers before bending down.
Olivia had a look of pure surprise on her face because she didn't expect him to do this so soon.
" I'd like to ask for your hand in marriage Olivia. I love you, and I've come to love, I will do my best to love you and take care of you and it would mean so much to me if you would marry me?" He asked.
Olivia's eyes lit up with pure joy and shock. She couldn't take her eyes off of Trevor as he knelt in front of her. She squeezed his hand and nodded as a tear escaped her eye as she saw the look of love in his eyes.
" Well don't be silent, Olivia. Don't keep the man waiting." Liz pipped up causing Olivia to laugh.
" Yes. I would love to marry you." Olivia replied as more tears gathered in her eyes.
Trevor grinned and slid the ring on her finger and he hugged her close after planting a kiss on her lips.
" What a happy surprise this was! I look forward to welcoming you into the family and I have no doubt in my mind that you'll treat our Olivia with great care and she'll do the same for you in return Liz said. A toast for the happy couple! To the future Mr and Mrs. Langan!" Don Cragen grinned and raised his glass.
Everyone in the room followed suit happily cheering and roasting the couple. Don smiled in delight and offered his congratulations to his daughter and soon to be son in law.
" I trust Trevor will take good care of you You seem quite happy about this engagement." Don said
Olivia nodded and couldn't stop smiling. " Im very happy. I never thought I'd have chance, but I did. He has made my life complete by the way did you know because when he proposed you just sat there with a smile on your face Dad". Don says" yes Liv I knew I met with Trevor a while ago and he asked for my permission to marry you you have a good one Liv he loves you so much".
Don hugged Liv before going over to Trevor and Liv talking to Liz her mom.
2 hours later after wishing Don and Liz goodbye Trevor and Liv got back in their car and drove home. Liv was sitting next to Trevor in the car stroking his hand and admiring the ring that glistened from the light from the moon.
" Happy?" Trevor asked softly, as he looked at Olivia.
She looked up at him smiled at Trevor and nodded. " Deeply. I love you Trevor Langan." Olivia smiled.
" I love you too, Olivia."
