[DISCLAIMER: This has nothing to do with the people who play the Hololive characters.

I had an anonymous reviewer ask me to PLZZZZZZZZZZ update. I had this chapter, but didn't really like it. It could just be I haven't been in the mood to write fanfics. I've been very busy with lots of other stuff and work.

This chapter has Botan, Lamy, Ina, Enma, and of course, Gura and Amelia, with some Coco and Kanata at the end.

Thanks for the faves, follows, and reviews.

Chapter 26 – How We Ended Up Here

London, England: November 1888

Gura laid beside Dr. Amelia Watson on the small couch. It had been thousands of years that she'd actually kissed her and it felt different. It was almost as if she kissed her for the first time.

It was so unexpected, and it made her feel nervous. She slowly lifted from the couch, and then gently moved aside and off the couch. She pulled the small blanket over the detective, and made sure she was breathing. She knew she was exhausted from the near-death experience.

Staring down at the sleeping beauty, "you're so… beautiful Dr. Watson."

She then looked over her own small body, feeling embarrassed of her form. She looked behind at her shark tail. Humans didn't have tails. It didn't seem to bother Dr. Watson at all. She was so different than the present Dr. Watson who worked at the bookstore.

She then pulled back on her slacks, placed her hoodie under her 19th c. British fashion, looking like a boy who sold papers on the streets.

The kettle was still by the sink, and so she set to cleaning up the small cottage, and putting up the cups and such.

Instantly, she stopped in place. There was someone else nearby. She could sense them watching. Despite her senses being hampered on land, she could still sense danger.

Within an instant she turned and was met with a smiling woman with blue hair.

"How'd you get in here?"

"Oh my, you're a shark girl."

"That's me," Gura grinned, always friendly to the locals. "Can I help you, ma'am?"

Gura tilted her head, bewildered by the lithe woman who didn't look all that frightening.

"I live up the lane and noticed this place was occupied." Suisei then paced slightly looking over the interior. "I was curious who was in this old abandoned cottage. You know, keeping up with neighborhood goings on." She then giggled lightly.

"Um…" Gura felt in danger, but wasn't sure why since this was just a friendly neighbor.

"I'd offer you a spot of tea, but my friend's not feeling too well." Gura glanced back at Amelia. "Perhaps another time."

"That would be lovely." She glanced over at the sleeping detective. "My, she's a sound sleeper. Friend of the family?"

"Um… just a friend."

Suisei continued to glance across the room, as if a prospective home buyer, idly thumbing over the top of her cane. The time piece being adjusted.

"You know, we don't see too many shark types like you around this area. Animas-humans are a strange abomination to humanity, aren't they? Aren't most being hunted in other countries?"

"What… do you mean by that?" Gura wanted to bite the woman. "Last I checked we are not hunted in this country. So, whatever you're implying ma'am, I'm quite bothered by your reference."

"Oh – so sorry. I didn't mean to offend." Again, she giggled breezily.

Gura didn't understand why she didn't take the hint that she wasn't wanting to entertain a guest. So, Gura walked toward the door. Holding to the handle, she opened.

"Well now, please, don't let us keep you."

She again didn't take the hint.

Amelia Watson stirred, her eyes still fuzzy, when in her view she slowly realized who was standing within arm's length to Gura. It was the blue-haired woman from Coco's Club. She hadn't seen her in over 10 years. Why was she here?

Slowly, she reached for her pistol, and it wasn't there.

In an instant, she glanced over at it lying across the table. It was behind the blue-haired woman.

When Amelia Watson looked up again Suisei was staring at her with a smile across her face.

"GURA!"

Gura turned from the door, and within a second the unwanted guest plunged her sword into the shark's gut. Piercing all the way through, so that Gura fell forward, onto her knees, being held up by the assailant in front.

She gripped weakly around the assailant's hands and arms, weakly her grip departing. It pierced through her entire torso.

"We have a message for you shark. We win."

Gura glanced into the woman's eyes, whispering something inaudible, as she touched her stomach with her right hand. She then glanced toward Amelia, as her eyes slowly closed, her body slumping onto the sword.

Amelia was instantly up, running over to grab her pistol from her coat, and ready to shoot.

Suisei rammed the sword deeper into Gura, and then pressed onto the top of the bulb at the end of the cane.

"Try to find us detective."

And within a moment both had disappeared.

Dr. Amelia Watson stood there, her hand shaking, as she watched. Her mind was a flurry of hollowed thoughts, nowhere to go, as she watched Gura leaving her once again.

She fumbled through her coat, wrapping it around herself, pulling out her timepiece. She was ready to look over any signature of where the blue-haired assassin had gone.

Barely time to consider what happened passed, as the entire cottage grew hot.

Dr. Amelia Watson looked upward, pressing the timepiece with no thought.

In seconds it was engulfed in flames.

Island of Holios: Present Time

Enma was in the lobby of the hotel within a flash of time, and stood there looking to the front desk. She walked over briskly. "Hello, I need the room for Yukihana Lamy."

"I can't give that out to you."

"Yes, you can."

He glanced at his computer screen, nonplussed. "No, I can't."

Enma reached across the counter, gripping the manager by the neck hard, nearly pulling him over the top. He screeched.

"Where is she?"

It was then she saw a blue-haired Snow Elf at the bar adjacent to the lobby.

"Never mind, I found her." She threw him back behind the counter. "You are extremely problematic."

She then walked away, a long samurai sword at her back. The front desk manager instantly began to call the police.

"Hello, Yukihana Lamy?"

"Yes?" She kindly smiled.

"You need to come with me."

"Why?"

"Because if you don't, someone may die."

Lamy wasn't quite sure she heard correctly. "I think maybe you are having a bad day," and more friendly, "Want to join me for a drink?"

"No." she grabbed the Snow Elf's forearm. "Come with me now, please."

Lamy pulled her arm away. "I don't mind helping, but you'll need to explain a little further on the situation?"

"You're a healer, correct?"

"Yes."

"Then you are needed." She whispered, "Are you familiar with the Kame Inn? The secrets of Holios?"

"Somewhat." Lamy got up from her seat. "Who was hurt?"

"Someone that another that I love cares deeply for – so please. You are the only one who can help. They say she is dying."

"Of course." Lamy could see this was urgent. She left immediately, not one to ever shirk from her responsibility as a healer.

They walked out of the hotel. Enma placed her arm around Lamy, and they were cloaked within the wind. Making it to the Kame Inn within seconds.

Botan happened to be walking back to the hotel when she saw a black-haired woman placing her arms around her wife. Before she could call for her, they disappeared.

"What the…?" Botan instantly ran over to find her, but she was gone. She was frantically searching the area with her eyes. "Was I seeing things?"

She continued to look over the area, and then grabbed a young valet. "Hey, did you see a beautiful Snow Elf and a woman with black hair with a bad dye job of red tips out here?"

"No, ma'am."

"Are you sure? They were just here a second ago."

He shook his head no.

Botan then ran into the lobby, looking over the area. She ran up to the front desk. "Hey, was there a black-haired woman with dyed red tips in here?"

"Yes, Detective Botan, I just called the police and they're on their way. She was in here manhandling me, and asking for your wife."

Botan's stomach was in knots, realizing someone had just taken her wife right in front of her.

"She was carrying a sword and she looked scary. She gra…."

"Don't care – you say she had a sword?"

"Your wife was in the lounge."

"She was? Thanks."

Botan ran to the bar to look over and ask if anyone had seen Lamy. It was then she saw her wife's purse hooked over the back of a bar stool. When she felt the seat, it was still warm. She could see she had even left her phone.

Botan was growing more and more panicked. She grabbed the purse, and ran out of the lounge and back to the last place she'd seen her wife.

She had absolutely no idea where she was, and so she called Dr. Watson. No answer.

"What is going on? Nothing is making sense."

She had to find Lamy. She began to look all over the pavement for any clue. The young valet watched the lioness on all fours sniffing and looking over the area.

She would have to use all her senses as a predatorial-Animas to find her wife. And so, that's what she did. She caught the scent of the creature that took her, and Lamy.

Botan rarely used her lioness senses, and her eyes turned a darker shade of gold, the pupil growing small, as she took off running to where the scent was leading.

Just outside the area of the volcano she stopped. Gazing up at the peak, flattened by years of erosion, she was ready to climb. She had no idea why Lamy's scent was beside a volcano, but it wouldn't stop her. She'd gone through worse saving Lamy when they first met in the Northern Realms. She'd go through any difficulty to save the one that always made her feel a warmth unlike any other creature.

Once she began to leave, she was grabbed by the arm.

"Don't detective."

Turning, she was surprised to see the one holding her arm.

"You're going the wrong way, and we need to leave quickly before everything disappears."

"Chief Ookami Mio?"

"No time to explain."

Mio was on one side, suddenly taking on her goddess appearance of longer black fur, and bright dark eyes. Fubuki appeared on the other, her form in her fox goddess array, shimmering in pearl white fur, with multiple tails.

They grabbed on either side of the predator, and disappeared into the Kame Inn cloak.

###################################################################

It was dizzying being carried by the wind. Once stopped, Lamy had to gather her bearings. She was amazed at the sight before her. It was a beautiful two-story Inn of dark woods with red siding, with arched gables in a Nara period design.

"This place is beautiful."

"We've no time for sightseeing." Enma more graciously bowed. "Please, follow me."

"Yes, of course."

Lamy walked through the portal of the main entrance, and again was amazed when she saw two small creatures, white furry puff balls, small and cute, and with large black eyes.

She was led to a room along the small corridor.

Enma slid open the fusuma, "Please, Lamy-senpai, enter."

Lamy walked in to see Ina, and another, and then someone that she had seen before but couldn't quite remember, lying on the futon.

There was a small heater, and the room was lit by soft candles.

"Ina?"

"Oh good, it's you. She's lost so much blood and has barely a heartbeat. She's not from here."

"I see." Lamy knelt beside the blonde woman on the futon, hearing the fear in Ina's voice. "I see." She then held to Nene's hand, closing her eyes. It was then she realized this was a woman from a completely different planet and she wasn't even sure she'd be able to heal.

"Can you heal her, Lamy?" Ina was crying, her voice quivering. The fennec fox girl was equally sobbing, and only sitting and rocking beside.

This surprised the Snow Elf, and she felt so moved when she answered, "It will be difficult."

Lamy knew it would take all her healing ability because she was so far gone and not of their world. But she didn't want to let Ina down, and she didn't want to allow someone to die if she had even the smallest amount of chance to heal.

"I will try." She smiled, this time taking Ina's hand. "I will do everything possible for her."

"Thank you."

Enma lowered beside Ina, whispering in her ear.

She stood and left for the corridor as Lamy healed Nene, Polka sitting beside.

"What is going on?" Ina asked, in a lowered voice.

"Something is changing across Holios. We are protected here, but outside there is a strange fog and time is being confused, I think. The island has lost maybe half its citizens.

"What do you mean lost?"

"Gone. As if they never existed."

##########################################################################

"Kanatan, why are you so tired? I need you right now."

Kaichou Coco stood over her partner lying on the bed. She sat down beside her, first irritated but slowly becoming concerned. Why was her closest friend constantly falling asleep for the last week?

She brushed across the angel's hair. "You, okay?"

"Mhmm, just tired."

Kaichou looked over her cluttered room. "You know, maybe you have black mold or something in here. I mean, that might be making you sick. Want me to call a maid service?"

"Sure."

Kanata sat up slowly on the bed, rubbing her eyes, smiling at the comment on her messiness.

"I need you to get a hold of that blue-haired bitch that has a thing for you. She's becoming a headache."

"Suisei?"

"Yes."

"She did the job, right?"

"She came by and was making threats. First off, I don't like that. Second, I hate that. Third, I want you to have a talk with her and tell her I will never hire her again."

Kanata woke up more fully. "That's weird. She said she had another job. When did you see her?"

"Earlier today."

"That makes no sense. She's supposed to be half way across the world in the Northern Realms past the European Sector of Countries."

"What part?"

"She said she was headed to the UK."

"I guess she decided to stop by before her trip."

"I'm sure she was just trying to be ominous and weird. Suisei can be kind of… psychopathic."

Kaichou smirked. "Well, I can do without the psycho visits. We need to send her a message."

Through the window a sudden flash of light, as if the sun had exploded, sprayed the room in blinding light. It was so bright both Kaichou and Kanata covered over their eyes. Feeling like they'd go blind if they opened.

"What the fuck was that?!"

Kanata lifted in an instant. She blinked a few times, and then rushed to the window. Looking out to the landscape and city of Holios. All seemed quiet – almost too quiet.

"What's wrong?"

"I think… there's been some sort of disruption. We need to get out of here."

She turned to Kaichou and her eyes shone like gems of swirling purples and blue. It made the dragon-girl sit back. She was changing to her angelic form.

"A war is brewing, Kaichou."

"A war? What kind of war?" Kaichou Coco then wondered if she would have to change into dragon form. She greatly disliked the dragon form – she thought it made her look fat.

"One that we had better win." Kanata was fully awake, when she grabbed Kaichou's hand, "We need to hurry and get off this island."

"First things first. We need to send that blue-haired psycho a message."

"Do we have to? We're cut for time."

"Yes."
