Chapter 26: In The End

===September 1 2010===

Harry and Hermione watch their children wave as the Hogwarts Express leaves. "That's the bulk of them, sorting should be fun." Harry says.

Hermione nods. "I'm glad we got Juliet and Teddy in Gryffindor last year, that really eased my nerves a lot."

"Mine too."

Meanwhile on the train the quadruplets find a cabin and sit together. "Room for us?" Teddy asks.

"We'll figure it out." Richard James, RJ among friends and family says encouraging his siblings to move about to let Teddy sit in a corner.

"Here." Juliet says as she comes in behind Teddy and sits on his lap. "We'll take up less room this way."

"Of course." Teddy carefully wraps his arms around her.

Rose and Iris sit across from Teddy and Juliet. They notice Teddy holding Juliet protectively and share a look with Juliet who grins at them for a second before Bryan sits beside Iris leaving RJ to sit with Teddy and Juliet.

"So what houses are the four of you hoping to be in?" Teddy asks.

Rose, who has their mother's hair color , but braided into a pair of pigtails, carefully pushes her silver framed glasses up to her green eyes before speaking. "I'm hoping for Ravenclaw. Aunt Luna shared some of her insights about the house with me. I'm secretly hoping that we each end up on a different house so that we can use our bond as siblings to bring the houses together."

"That's a great plan." Iris says, like her sister she has their mom's hair but thanks to hair potionsit's very straight, and you haveto look real closely to see the contact lenses in her hazel eyes.. "Why don't we agree now to each try for a different house? Then we can meet in the library on a regular basis as a study group."

Rose nods. "Then once everyone has their schedule, they can show it to me. I'll compare them and find times that are advantageous to everyone."

"I'll try for Slytherin then." Iris says. "RJ is too much like Dad, always rushing into things so he should go ahead and go to Gryffindor." She looks up at Teddy and Juliet. 'No offense."

"None taken." Juliet says.

"We know what you mean." Teddy adds.

Iris nods and looks at Bryan, his hair has the same coloring as their dad's but his seems to stay in place without potions, he has thrir mother's chocolate brown eyes. "That would leave you with Hufflepuff. Are you okay with that?" Bryan nods in agreement.

"You don't have to agree if you don't want to." RJ says, his hazel eyes reassures Bryan. Like their father his hair goes wherever it wants.

"It's okay." Bryan says quietly. "I was hoping to get out of Mom and Dad's shadow. All of Gryffindor is in their shadow. So I was debating where I was hoping to end up."

"My not so subtle manipulations make up your mind?" Iris asks.

Bryan nods the grins. "Might want to work on being more subtle if you're going to be in Slytherin."

Ross laughs. "He's got you there."

"You know I can be very subtle. I just don't feel the need to do so around my family." Iris says.

===September 2 2010===

Rose sits at the Ravenclaw table along with a few other girls when RJ walks up to the table. "Hey Rose, settling it alright?"

Rose nods. "Me and a couple other first year girls discussed books."

RJ smiles. "Sounds like you made friends already."

"Hey Rose, who are you talking to?" A dark haired Ravenclaw girl asks.

"This is one of my brothers, Richard James." Rose answers. "RJ, this is Mira."

"I'm pleased to meet you my lady." RJ says as he takes Mira's hand and kisses it.

"The pleasure is mine sir." Mira says blushing as she sits beside Rose.

"Your schedule RJ." Rose says.

RJ hands her the schedule. "Mira, we're going to be forming a study group. You want to join us?"

"Would you be okay with that Rose?" Mira asks.

Rose nods. "Anyone who wishes to join may join as long as they actually study. I will personally hex anyone who uses the study group for any other purpose."

"Just one question." RJ says. "I noticed the blue weaved through your robes, how did you manage that?"

The grin Rose gives him makes him glad she's his sister and not an enemy. "Mom taught me the spell when I asked. If you'd like I could do red through your robes then teach you how to do it later."

"I would appreciate that."

Rose pulls out her wand and taps his robes. "Aurantiaco Texentes Subtilia!"

RJ watches as a few threads of his robe turn reddish orange. Highlighting just enough that he'd easily be identified as a Gryffindor, but not so much that he'd be breaking rules. "Awesome!" RJ says obviously happy with the change. "Thanks Rose."

"You're welcome." Rose replies as RJ walks off.

As soon as RJ walks off Iris approaches the table. Mira looks shocked to see a Slytherin at their table. Then she notices the green weaved into Iris' robes. "Your sister?" Mira guesses nervously.

"Iris Potter, and you are?" She asks politely while handing her schedule to Rose.

"Mira Meadowbrook."

Iris nods as she hands Rose her schedule. "Are you Rose's friend?"

"I'd like to think so." Mira answers. "We spent most of last night discussing books."

"Sounds like you two are well on your way to being friends." Iris says. "I'm reserving judgement on my fellow first year Slytherins. Right now everyone wants to be my friend."

"You think they'll abandon that idea the second they realize our parents aren't going to coddle us?" Rose asks.

"Pretty much."

"I'm confused, what do your parents have to do with your friends?" Mira asks.

Iris laughs as she takes her schedule back. "I can't believe she doesn't know! Some Ravenclaw!"

Rose blushes heavily. "Iris, that's not very nice." Bryan says. "I know you're in Slytherin, but you don't need to be so mean."

Iris looks at Bryan, the youngest of the quadruplets, even if it is only by a matter of minutes. It just goes to figure he'd be the tallest of them all at 11. He usually doesn't speak much, with the other three of them there to speak for him. Iris knows that means he picks his words carefully. She sighs. "I apologize Mira, with every Slytherin trying to be my friend because my parents are Professors here. I forget that not everyone has an ulterior motive."

Mira's eyes go wide. "Your...your parents are Professors?"

"You are aware the schedule doesn't have the professors names right?" Rose asks while grabbing Bryan's schedule noticingthe yellow weaved through his robes..

"So?" Iris asks.

"Muggleborn." Rose says pointing to Mira.

"No wonder she didn't know who our parents are." Iris says as she shakes her head and walks off to the Slytherin table.

"You'll have to forgive Iris." Rose says as she hands Bryan back his schedule.

"So which professors should I be worried are going to be giving us extra homework?" Mira asks with a grin.

"DADA and transfiguration." Rose answers as she hands Bryan his schedule.

Meanwhile Iris goes to the Slytherin table and sees a first year girl with silver-white hair she doesn't recognize sitting by herself. She goes to the girl. "You mind if I sit?"

The girl looks up at Iris with her ice blue eyes. "Go ahead."

Iris sits down and lets the silence wash over them. It's only when it's time to leave she says something. "I'm Iris."

"Felicita." She responds as she extends her hand. "Friends?"

Iris shakes her hand. "Friends."

Felicita grins thinking. 'These seven years should be interesting.'
