Chapter 26
Eric van Genus' Journal #28: Special Tactics
In the words of Sun Tzu, warfare is based on deception. Yet in modern warfare, psychological tactics are needed. But rather than winning hearts and minds, we will strike at those in charge. Which is what happened at Atlas. I had the highest ranking officers in one spot, have the leaders of the kingdom in that same spot along with the upper shits of society. Ironwood is in-charge of both the military and a member of the council as well as headmaster of the academy. Sleet and Camilla are also on the ruling council but in more political roles. As of now, Willow is in-charge of the Schnee Dust Company that can take on power if she wants to if the council is gone. Robyn Hill is also an obstacle and can also take control if the council is gone along with the Schnees. If she's gone, her most trusted members of the Happy Huntresses might take over.
In the words of Sun Tzu, there has to be some form of command structure that politicians shouldn't interfere. If I was right, all of Atlas' high ranking officers should be where they're suppose to be and the entire command structure should fall down in one fell swoop. If any of them survive, the use of psychological warfare should be implemented to strike fear and trauma into the survivors. That is why I gave Aerial the Mask in order to induce such trauma. She didn't knew about the effects of it, but after what happened, she will want to avoid it. However, after everything, Atlas had fallen.
End of recording.
AN: Just to let you know, I never take drugs. I am autistic. I like mixing things together. Just to let you know because of someone falsely accuse me of taking drugs in the reviews. I was lucky to take a bank job.
Atlas Command Center, Meeting Room...
In the meeting room, all of the high ranking officers are there with no idea on what is going on after they were recalled.
Special Operative Cordovin asks, "Is there a reason why we're all here?"
One of the admirals responds, "Don't know. I received the same call back as you did. It must be important for all of us to be here."
One commander says, "But the general isn't here. He's out at some party along with the Ace Ops."
Cordovin thinks about the situation for the moment.
"Is there something wrong?" one of the admirals asked.
"I don't like this. It feels more like-"
BOOM! A huge explosion is heard outside of the meeting room that shook the ground and startled everyone.
"What the hell was that?!" one of the admirals asks.
Cordovin talks on her scroll, "Nubuck Guards, what is happening?!"
"We're being attacked!" one of the guards say in a panic, "Our vehicles have transformed into robots and attacking us!"
"WHAT?!"
BOOM! Another explosion is heard before the gunfire.
Two guards enter in the room with one firing his rifle before shutting the door.
The admiral stands up, "What is going on?!"
"We're under heavy attack by our own vehicles that can shapeshift into robots!"
A giant, mechanical claw pierced its way through the doors and grabbed one of the guards. The guard continues to fire before getting sliced up by gripping.
The second guard shouts, "COME ON, WE GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!"
From the doorway, they can see the robot with a Cybertronian symbol on its chest and have some parts that make it look like it was one of the bullhead VTOLs.
Meanwhile, At the Flying Mansion...
In one of the rooms; Whitley Schnee, Winter Schnee, Willow Schnee, James Ironwood and Robyn Hill try to process what the hell just happened as Winter uses a pillow to cover the hole in her pants. Aerial is wearing The Mask. An ancient Nordic artifact forged by Loki that turns the wearer into something of a cartoon character with great powers...and makes them a little insane.
Aerial looks at Whitley, "Hello there, sugar. It's nice to meet you."
She grabs Whitley by the collar and transform into a giant pair of red lips and kisses Whitley. A really big kiss before tossing him over to Winter. Whitley is now traumatized on what happened to him.
Aerial approaches Willow, "Willow, darling! I heard about your husband being a jackass. Oh wait. Jacques, meaning Jack. Jackass." She laughs, "Yeah, that makes sense." She stands in the center of the room, "My, my. You all aren't having fun. Perhaps a game. Have you ever heard, The Most Dangerous Game?" She changes into a plaid checkered shirt with jeans and matching cap while holding a shotgun, "Simple. *cocks gun* It's a game where we hunt down humans. In this case; you."
The five start to get scared.
"You have ten seconds!"
The five immediately run out of the room.
"We need to get our weapons and fight back!" Robyn says while running.
"I agree." Ironwood agrees.
Outside in the garden, the fight with the Ace Ops and Happy Huntresses against some of the Council Members of the Evolutionaries.
Elm is attacking Maya with ferocious hammer swings but Maya dodges all her swings. Maya has her left hand turned into a sword and nearly stab Elm in the gut. Fiona comes in with a stab attack of her own, but Maya moves out of the way and Fiona nearly hit Elm.
"Sorry!" Fiona apologizes to Elm for almost hitting her.
"Don't worry about it! Focus on the task at hand!"
Maya takes on a karate stance as she smiles at the two. However, something red dashes right at the two that scratches Elm's left arm and scratches Fiona's right cheek.
"What was that!?" Fiona says when she felt that scratch.
Elm prepares her weapon, "I don't know, and it definitely wasn't a semblance. Every person can only use one."
"Unless she moves very fast."
Maya smiles while having a shield and a great sword. Behind her is a silhouette of a red praying mantis, about her size, that appears to have a gas mask on its mouth.
Neon fires a red laser from her hands at Clover and Marrow followed by many shots of neon blasts. Clover easily evaded all of Neon's shots as Kuro charges in with her scythe which Marrow blocking. Poppy drives around in her robot that can easily evade all of Vine's aura arms. Then Vine managed to land a blow on the robot's head, but it has no effect.
"What?" Vine is caught by surprise before he dodges out of Poppy's way.
"Whatcha' think?" Poppy says in the robot suit. "This is my latest invention. A special alloy that cannot be harmed by semblances! I call it, Telinium!" Poppy thinks about it for a moment. She deflates, "Okay, it sounded a lot better in my head."
"You are one, strange little woman."
She tries throwing a punch at Vine, "Shut up and fight!" Poppy feels a little insulted.
H.F. manages to beat H.B. H.B.'s body is riddled with bruises and a few cuts with blood almost everywhere. She uses whatever aura she has left to heal her wounds before falling unconscious so she won't bleed to death. Fiona cuts in and punches H.F. in the face.
Back inside the mansion, the five run through the halls while the gargoyles are terrorizing and maiming all the party guests. Some manage to fight back with mops, brooms, kitchen knives and whatever they can find. Unfortunately, it is not enough against gargoyles that are also trained in martial arts. Yet the five are trying to get to find out where the weapons are being kept. But a gargoyle, red skin and a beak-like snout with white hair, block their way.
"I think not." says the gargoyle with glowing white eyes. "You are trespassing. And trespassers have to be dealt with accordingly."
Winter uses her semblance and call forth two white Beowolves to attack the red gargoyle. They both pounce manage to pin him down as the five dash by.
"Now I need to unlock my semblance!" Whitley says, "In case of situations like this!"
Winter smiles at Whitley, "Once we make it out, mom and I will teach you!"
Robyn has some doubts, "You mean if we make it out!"
In the gardens, Elm and Fiona have been knocked out by Maya, Neon and Kuro. Covered in bruises and scrabs along with a few cuts. Joanna runs up and tries to stab H.F., but H.F. dodges and managed to unleash a flurry of punches yet she is not the one punching. Joanna is hurt badly as she is knocked to the ground as a few burn marks in the shape of fists. Face first into the bricks.
Joanna tries to get back up, "How? How did you managed to attack me without touching me?"
H.F. happily replies to Joanna's question, "Because there is a special ore that was created by converting Dust remnants that mutated a very special virus. Those who have been cut by it or have it enter into their bloodstream will suffer a very painful death. But those who managed to survive the virus' natural selection, they are granted a great power. A personification of their spiritual energy that fights by their side. This is known as; a Stand!"
Behind H.F. is a strange humanoid creature with a triceratops skull for a head with flames coming out of the holes and smoke coming out of its mouth. It has a muscular, red feminine body with a loin cloth top made from mammoth fur and bottom. Not to mention it has lava for veins.
"And this is my Stand. Jurassic Rage! You may not see it, but you can feel her heat!"
Jurassic Rage roars with her head facing up at the sky and fire spewing high. Everyone can't see it, but they can feel the heat that melted the icicles, melt the snow and wither some of the flowers. Joanna can feel the heat as her wounds heal, but pass out.
"Did I forget to mention that Maya has one? It's name is Red Mantis."
Maya's Stand charges at Elm and slice up her Timber.
"What?!" she says in surprise.
Red Mantis swipes at Elm and has her slammed against the wall that made a hole into the mansion.
"A way in!" Clover says when he sees the opening, "Let's get outta here and regroup!"
Marrow uses his semblance to toss everyone who is unconscious into the hole and runs in. Once his semblance wears-off, the remaining Ace Ops and Happy Huntresses head inside as Vine uses his semblance to close it up.
Poppy slides into the ground, "Well that could've gone better."
Maya nods her head in agreement.
Kuro walks close to the two, "Don't worry. We've done our job." She looks at her teammates, "Time for us to leave before this place comes crashing down."
The Ace Ops and Happy Huntresses carry their unconscious party members as they fight their way through the mansion to meet up with Ironwood, Winter and Robyn. As they run through the halls, they notice a foul stench in the air. They stop when they see a huge massacre of Atlas' elite scattered about in the entryway. Fiona gasp when seeing all the bloodstains, body parts and gore everywhere. The high society of Atlas has been destroyed. Not scattered, not fleeted, destroyed. Completely and with no mercy.
Clover states with his fist clench, "We've got to find the general and Robyn. Fast."
BANG! BANG! Two revolver shots were heard coming from one of the rooms upstairs.
Elm recognizes the shots, "That was Ironwood's Due Process!"
But Elm gets attacked from above that swipes her head off. It was caused by a gargoyle hanging from the ceiling that later kill Harriet with lightning fast precision. Slicing her in half in her unconscious state. Follow by Joanna's death. The tired Huntsmen have their weapons back out and ready to face the new threat. The gargoyle stands six feet tall with green skin, six horns and a very muscular physique.
It stands, "You are trespassing."
"Fuck you!" Marrow says with anger. He raises his hands and two balls of blue and white energy form, "Take this!" and fires at the gargoyle.
Marrow managed to destroy the gargoyle's head with an energy blast that he managed to do. He is just as stun as everyone else. Marrow looks at his hands and realize what he did.
He jumps up, "I did it!" Marrow found a way to use ki energy from the Dragon Ball series.
But that celebration was cut short with a claw piercing through his chest. Vine was next as he had his head bit off. Fiona and Clover run upstairs with May providing a stealth field. Unfortunately, the gargoyles have a keen sense of smell and hearing as they attack and rip apart May. Both Fiona and Clover have no choice but to head upstairs to regroup with Ironwood and the others. Fiona fires her crossbow and managed to get in a few good headshots despite fearing for her life. Another round from Due Process was heard, but in cannon form followed by three small explosions.
"General!" Clover says as Ironwood aimed his weapon. "Wait, sir!"
"Clover?" Ironwood lowers his weapon, "Where's the rest of the Ace Ops?"
"KIA, sir! Those monsters wiped-out my entire team!" Clover is angry by the fact his whole team is dead.
Fiona shuts the door, "We gotta find a way outta here and warn everyone! My scroll isn't connecting to the outside world!"
"I've noticed it, too." Robyn states, "There must be a jamming device somewhere. But we have bigger problems."
The Mask appeared in the drawer of the desk, "You're correct, lassie!" and fires her shot gun. But what came out of the gun was a flag that says, 'Bang!' "Whoops! Wrong gun!" and laughs.
Everyone head out as fast as they could.
"What the fuck was that?!" Clover asks as everyone runs.
"That was Aerial Airheart!" Willow replies, "Formally known as, Daisy Taggart!"
"That was Daisy Taggart!?" Fiona is surprised to hear that.
"Even worse, she kissed me!" Whitley is disgusted, "She turned into a giant pair of lips and kissed me!"
The seven survivors try to find a way out of this nightmare scenario they are in with many of their comrades dead. Will they survive? Or will they be part of the death toll?
Eric van Genus' Audio Journal #28: Acai Mitsuhide's Philosophy
Acai Mitsuhide. A young man that kinda remind me of Starcream from Transformers, only more craftier. His philosophy is more diabolical than communism and fascism combine. He wants to create a nation where everything is under his iron grip. His ego, if left uncheck, will cause despair, ruination and calamity. Acai believes that the world is his toy box and everything, including the lives of others are nothing more than his toys to play with. If he decides you die, you die. If he wants you to agree with him, he will threaten you if you don't agree or just kill you. If he says he's right, he will murder those that say he's wrong. Even worse when he says he's a god and demands to be worshiped. A typical example of what an autocrat is. People like him are the worse that demands attention, respect, admiration and loyalty with obedience.
The autocratic philosophy should never be followed. No one deserves to be in chains to a tyrannical filth that is a plague upon the world. And like all plagues, the only cure is eradication. In a free society, there is no place for autocracy! This seed of tyranny must be destroyed before it has a chance to take root! *yells away from the recorder* YOU HEAR ME ACAI!? YOU CAN DO YOUR WORSE, BUT YOU CAN NEVER TAKE CONTROL OF THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF PEOPLE! ALL SENTIENT LIFE DESERVE FREEDOM AND WILL NEVER SURRENDER TO TYRANTS! FOR YOUR TIME HAS COME BEFORE YOUR EVIL CAN SPREAD!
As for you, Salem, you're next.
AN: Hey everyone. I do apologize for the shortness for the chapter. The reason is because I have a lot of stuff to take care of. And the next chapter is the last one that takes place in Atlas. Until then, later.
