Chapter 27: Surfing Ninja Trouble

Ash, Serena, Sheldon and Aurora are now on the ocean of Route 12, as they are using surfboards on Gyarados, Brailip, Sponaree and Corsoreef. But as they are moving forward, they hear a roar, "Hiyah!"

Just then, two ninjas are now surrounding the four of them and Ash asks, "Who are you guys?"

"Who goes there? You're on our turf now." "Trespassers beware! Surfing ninjas gonna take you down!"

"Surfing Ninjas?" Serena asks in surprise. "What are they doing here?"

"I don't know, but it seems to me that they are not here for a friendly conversation." Ash says as they have sent out black fish like Pokemon known as Frynai. Sheldon says, "Those Pokemon are Water and Steel Type. Grass Type is not going to hurt them."

"I see..." Ash says as they use Pikachu's Thunderbolt to attack the fish Pokemon, and at the same time Brailip also evolves after battling the two Frynai.

Brainoar: The Brain Eel Pokemon: Water and Psychic Type. Evolved from Brailip at LV:34. Called "The sage of the sea", Brainoar is said to possess all the wisdom of the ocean. It is calm and dislikes fighting.

The two ninjas, known as Ronin and Juunin, are shocked to see their Pokemon being beaten, Ronin says, "You may have won this time, but make no mistake..."

"Our clan will avenge us!" Juunin says as they surf away, much to the four's confusion.

"I wonder what is their big deal?" Ash asks, and Aurora says, "Maybe this is the Ninja territory? I am not sure about that."

Serena says, "But it sure is hard to surf and battle at the same time on those boards...I hope we can have another way to surf..."

Ash looks around and they spot a ship with ice covering it. "Is that a ship over there?"

"Maybe we can ride the ship instead." Serena says, but Aurora stops them. "Wait, that is not the ship, that is a Pokemon."

"Pokemon?" Ash and Serena are confused, but they notice the eyes on the ship as they are shocked. "A ship Pokemon? What in the world..."

"That is Titanice. It is an Ice Type Pokemon." Sheldon says.

"Then maybe we should capture it for our benefit." Ash says as he has Gyarados fires the Flamethrower on the Pokemon, and Titanice is getting weaker. In the end, Ash manages to capture it.

Titanice: The Iceberg Pokemon: Ice Type. They migrate all over the ocean, congregating at the poles but occasionally moving to warmer waters. What lies beneath the surface is a mystery.

On the way towards the Route 13, Ash also finds the fish Pokemon that the ninjas are using and then he captures it as well.

Frynai: The Kunai Pokemon: Water and Steel Type. A favored Pokémon of Ninja clans. They propel themselves backwards through the water to attack with their sharp tails.

As they continue, they get to see another Dojo, and this time it is a male ninja named Tarou, who specializes in the HP Stat, when they ask him about the Surfing Ninjas, he just warns them that they usually appear in the area and they are ruthless against those who try to get to the East Tandor, so the four of them promise to be careful as they bid the ninja farewell.

As they continue surfing on the waters, two Surfing Ninjas appear and they say, "You are the one who disgraced our brothers!" "None may defeat our ninja clan in battle!" "Prepare to be punished!"

And they are using Fryani's evolution, which are called Saidine, and Ash and Serena have to continue battle against them, it is lucky for them that Frynai also evolves into Saidine to defeat the two ninjas known as Genin & Chuunin

Saidine: The Sai Pokemon: Water and Steel Type. Evolved from Frynai at LV:36. They are the bane of many fishermen as their bladed tails often cut fishing lines. They can change direction rapidly in the water.

Chuunin says, "This injustice will not stand!"

Genin says, "We must tell the Boss!"

Chuunin says, "Yes, Boss will teach this gaijin a lesson!"

Genin says, "You'll regret the day you messed with us."

After that, they are surfing away once more, and Sheldon says, "Now that is taking care of, I want to tell you, Ash. Saidine can evolve once more if you have a Water Stone."

"I guess I have one with me." Ash says as he uses it on Saidine, and it becomes a strong Pokemon.

Daikatuna: The Katana Pokemon: Water and Steel Type. Evolved from Saidine with a Water Stone. It often wields Frynai or Saidine as weapons. The sword on its head is made from steel folded 10,000 times.

"Okay, that was an interesting evolution." Serena says.

"Yeah." Ash says as they continue to surf forward, and they eventually land on a small island and the four Surfing Ninjas are now surrounding them.

Genin says, "You've made a grave mistake!"

Junnin says, "Now our whole clan is here!"

Chuunin says, "Our boss will sink you!"

Ronin says, "Boss Hokage is unbeatable!"

After that, a person who seems to be the Hokage stands in front of them. Ash says, "You must be the boss of these Surfing Ninjas..."

"So this is gaijin trespassers who dare to surf on our turf." The Hokage says.

"Show' em, boss!" Chuunin yells, but he is stopped by Hokage. "Do not interrupt. So. You are a strong Pokemon trainer. But by now you are weak and tired. My Pokemon are strong. Speedy. Stealthy. We rule this part of the sea. For the Honor of my clan, we punish you!"

Ash says, "That is if you can beat me." He turns to the others and he says, "This is my battle, I will handle him on my own."

"Okay, Ash." Serena says with worry on her face.

The first Pokemon he sends out is Saidine, and Ash sends out Empirilla to battle.

Hokage says, "A Fighting Type Pokemon...which is going to be super effective against my Saidine, but I won't let you beat me this easily. Use Swagger."

The Normal Type move hits Emprilla as it gets confused. Ash yells, "Calm down and use Cross Chop!"

Emprilla tries to attack, but it gets hit since it is confused, and then the Saidine uses the Feint attack to knock out the Pokemon in the end.

Ash grits his teeth and sends out Gellin, using the Thunderbolt, it manages to knock out the Saidine. Hokage says, "This should have been expected."

He sends out Gyarados, and it uses Ice Fang on Gellin, causing it to get frozen. Ash says, "Damn it...Gellin is a Grass Type as well..."

He calls in for a Thunderbolt, but Gyarados dodges the attack and sets up the Rain by using Rain Dance, and with the Hydro Pump, it gives a lot of damage to Gellin.

"Ice Fang again." And in the end, Gyarados manages to knock out the Gellin with the super effective move. Serena says, "Wow, this ninja is another new level for Ash..."

"This is a battle I can't lose..." Ash says, "Pikachu, I choose you."

As he sends out the mouse Pokemon, Hokage says, "A Pokemon that isn't native to Tandor...interesting."

"I have a plan, and I intend to do it." Then Ash has Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, knocking the Gyarados out.

"Still, Pikachu is not going to beat my Tubareel." Hokage says as he throws the Pokeball.

The third Pokemon appears on the field, and Ash has Pikachu uses the Double Kick, which is super effective, but Pikachu gets confused by the Swagger, and then it uses Assurance, which deals a lot of damage to Pikachu.

"Pikachu, don't give in, use your Dig!" As Pikachu goes underground, Hokage has Tubareel use Aqua Tail, but it is too late, and then both Pokemon are knocked out once they clash at each other.

"I am impressed, your Pikachu is really strong indeed." Hokage says as he sends out a Vaporeon. Ash sends out Electruxo to battle this time.

Vaporeon starts off with Acid Armor to boost the Special Defense, and Electruxo uses Scald, trying to burn the opponent, but much to his surprise, Vaporeon has Water Absorb has its ability, and it goes for Aqua Ring, trying to heal itself every turn. Ash is having a hard time battling the Pokemon, but in the end, they both land a draw after using Thunderbolt and Last Resort at the same time.

"It seems we are both down to our last Pokemon..." Hokage says as he sends out the Daikatuna, but before Ash can sends out his final Pokemon, a pillar of water suddenly appears in front of him, and much to their surprise, the one in front of them is no other than the Pokemon that Ash released a few months ago, Greninja."

"Greninja? Is that really you?" Ash asks, and the ninja Pokemon nod. Serena asks, "What has happened? Why is Greninja here?"

"He has finished the mission." They turn around and they see two green cell-like Pokemon standing in front of them. Serena says, "Squishy?"

"We manage to arrive in time. Once we finished cleaning the vines, we have heard that you two have come to the Tandor, so we have been chasing you until we're finally here." Z2 says.

Ash looks into Greninja's eyes, and he smiles, "Let's become stronger together!"

Then as Greninja transformed, the Surfing Ninjas are shocked. "No way, isn't that the Greninja the first Hokage used?" "How did he has that Pokemon?"

Hokage is also shocked at the sight of the Pokemon, but he is not going to get beaten by it as both Daikatuna and Greninja are battling so hard, but with the Mega Water Shuriken, Daikatuna is defeated.

"No...It can't be...can the prophecies be true?! That one comes who is stronger than I...? My ninja honor commands me...I must bow down to your might."

Everyone is shocked to see the ninjas bow down at Ash, not only he beats the Hokage, he also wields the Greninja that was used by the first Hokage.

"Henceforth...you are the Hokage. These waters are yours. I must leave..." After the former Hokage is left, the four also bow down to Ash and they treat Ash as the new Hokage. Ash is shocked, as he can only tell them to leave and come if he needs help.

"Wow...suddenly the Route 12 belongs to you, Ash." Sheldon says. "But what just happened with that Greninja?"

"That was the Bond Phenomenon." Serena says, "Only Ash is able to use that with Greninja..."

Ash turns to Greninja, who nods to him as Ash asks, "Greninja, do you want to come back to my team?"

Greninja nods as Ash takes out his old Pokeball and gives it to Greninja, causing it to be back into the party. Aurora asks, "What about you two? What are you going to do now?"

Squishy and Z2 look at each other, and then they jump into Serena's bag. "I guess it should be like old times, when we stayed in your bag."

Serena says, "Okay...I can't believe we have two Zygarde cores to travel with us as well..."

Ash says, "This day sure is getting weird, but I am not complaining about it."

Here is a new chapter, and guess what? Greninja and Squishy are now here as they finish cleaning the vines in Kalos! They are going to travel with Ash from now on and I hope you like it.
