Armin: "…"
I wonder what I can do to get Annie to change her mind about me….
As I thought about this, I stared out the window.
It's winter now and outside it's pure white because of the snow.
As I stared outside, someone tapped me on the shoulder from behind.
I turned around, but there was no one there….
When I looked down slightly, Annie was standing there.
Annie: "A~r~min!"
Armin: "Annie!?"
Something's off.
She's not acting like herself.
Something's different about her….
She's so cheerful….
Usually she's more cool and reserved.
Annie: "What-cha lookin' at?"
I'm trying to act bright and cheery just like Nina.
Of course, it's because I want Armin to notice me.
I wonder how it'll go….
If I act like this, will he finally see me as someone he could fall in love with?
Armin: "I'm just looking out the window."
Annie: "How great!"
Armin: "Uh, yeah…."
Why is Annie acting all peppy?
I don't really like perky people that much….
Not that I particularly like depressing people either….
She couldn't have heard someplace that I don't really like perky people and decided to start acting that way to get me to stop liking her, could she?
I think I'll ask why she's become so uncharacteristically cheerful….
Armin: "Annie."
Annie: "Yes?"
Armin: "Why are you acting all bright and perky today?"
Annie: "Do I hafta have a reason?"
Armin: "No, I suppose not…."
She won't tell me why….
I guess I was right. She's trying to get me to stop liking her….
Why do things have to be this way…?
Armin: "I told Eren I'd meet up with him soon, so I'm gonna go."
Annie: "Oh, uh, okay…."
Armin: "Later…." *dejected*
Annie: "Bye…."
Armin seems kind of down….
Maybe…Armin didn't like me being all peppy around him after all….
Annie: *exhale*
Annie: "What should I do now…?"
Armin, dude, no offense, but you are giving yourself waaaay too much credit. Seriously, who goes around thinking, "If I want to make so-and-so stop liking me, I'll find out what kind of people he/she doesn't like and then act that way." Get over yourself. Annie is going to be thinking more about herself and her personal stuff than in trying to mess with you. People are generally not thinking as much about you as they are themselves; that's just how it works.
