HEY THERE ALL YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE! This is it…the last one…we are at the FINAL CHAPTER of my Frozen 3 story! Man, what a ride this has been. I'm so glad you all were so supportive through out this past year. We've laughed, we've cried, all the feels. (Well, I've done all of that, I'm not sure about the rest of you but it would be hilarious if that was true lol). I started this story in May of last year, when Covid was still big news and the world was practically put on pause. But that didn't stop you all from reading my story, and for that I want to give the biggest THANK YOU! Alright, enough of the mushiness, let's get on with the final chapter. There will be one last song in this chapter, it's title is 'Home'. Now, I decided to use the deleted song 'Home' from the Frozen 2 soundtrack because I felt that it was a really good song that deserved to be used, so I decided to do a bit of additional linework and voila. And with the ending, I hope that you all will agree that it fits. I also used a deleted scene from Frozen 2 as well, so DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN THIS SONG OR DELETED SCENE, THEY BELONG TO THE MAKERS OF THE FROZEN FILMS.
Anyway, enjoy!
(We cut back to the open field where the battle had taken place.)
On top of the snowflake platform, Elsa and the Light spirit watched over the bodies of Prince Carsten and Anna, who were still unconscious. Anna's arms were still tightly wrapped around Carsten and the two were both still kneeling on the icy surface of the snowflake. Down below, the Ice and Plant warriors continued their sumo-like hold on each other, still trying to gain the upper hand, while everyone else was watching it all with looks of tension and unease.
However, things took a sudden change when Carsten's body began to glow with the white light of the First spirit. Elsa and the Light spirit looked to one another in surprise, then back to the unconscious pair as the light got brighter and brighter, and soon it began to ripple a teal green magic along with the blinding white light. The people inside the barrier, including Yelena, Kristoff, Honeymaren, Ryder, Olaf, Sven, and Grand Pabbie all looked at the rippling light with surprised looks as well. The Ice and Plant warriors paused mid fight and looked up at the white and teal green light. Suddenly, the Plant warriors began to disassemble, falling down into a pile of twisted up and broken pieces of tree trunks, leaves, vines and branches, leaving the Ice warriors where they stood.
The light cast down onto the large group of Remnants, still frozen in their monstrous forms. As the light continued to gently glow, the ice trapping the Remnants began to crack. Chunks of ice broke off from the frozen statues and fell to the ground, shattering on impact before turning into snowflakes and disappearing. Soon, all the ice fell off from the Remnants, and they began to wriggle and twist once they were freed from their frozen prisons. Then, just as it looked like the Remnants were about to start going after the people in the barrier, which caused them to flinch back a bit with worry, something changed.
Their long, sharp claws and the jagged teeth slowly began to melt away. Their bulky, twisted bodies started to shrink and regained their original humanoid appearances. Once this was done, the dark energy that dripped from the bodies of the Remnants began to tighten, like the wax on a candle when it began to dry. Their bodies, as the dark energy tightened, began to look much more human. When the energy was finally "dry" on the hand of one of the Remnants, it started to flake off. The flakes of dark energy flew into the air before vanishing, leaving behind the olive-skinned hand of a young female.
More and more flakes of the cursed magic flew off of the figure, revealing a young woman in her late 20's. She had a slim, but full figure with olive skin, brown eyes and thick, dark brown curly hair that was tied into a high ponytail. She wore a regular, light blue bodice gown with a mid-sleeve tunic underneath, as well as a simple pendant that hung from her neck. Once all of the flakes disappeared, she gave a look of surprise, holding out one of her hands to look at the back of it before turning the other hand over and bringing it close to her face, not quite believing what she was seeing. She then put both her hands onto her stomach, feeling the fabric of her gown before putting her hands to her cheeks as she looked up with shocked realization.
"…I'm free…I'M FREE!" The woman, testing out her voice for a moment before joyously crying out, hugging herself as she did so.
The woman turned around and saw that the same thing was happening to the other remnants. Men, women, children, and elderly appeared from the swarm of flaking cursed magic. They all wore similar attire and shocked expressions that the woman had before they all began to joyously celebrate. They hugged, kissed, cried, smiled, laughed, and rejoiced at their return to their true selves. Families and friends reunited, their cries of happiness echoing throughout the open field. The Umanakian people were free from the First spirit's curse. The barrier that protected the people from Arendelle and Northuldra disappeared and they all slowly spread out, watching the Umanakians with amazement.
Among the last to be set free from the dark magic was a middle aged man and woman, dressed quite finely in attire meant for nobility. The man was fairly tall with chestnut brown hair, brown eyes and olive skin. He wore a dark blue royal suit and a long dark grey cape with the Umanakia crest stitched at the bottom, and he sported a gold and jeweled crown on his head. The woman was a few inches shorter than him, with ebony-black hair in a bun, dark skin, and sharp blue eyes. She wore a long sleeved, soft peach colored evening ball gown and had a smaller jeweled gold crown nestled in her hair along with other accessories. The man and woman staggered a bit after being freed from the curse, with the man reaching over to the woman and putting one arm behind her back and his other hand holding one of hers in order to help her keep stable.
"Careful my dear" The man said
"Where…where are we? Carsten?! Where is our son?!" The woman questioned, looking around to find the prince.
Suddenly, the rock form of Grand Pabbie quickly rolled to the two people. When he unraveled himself, he gave a small bow with his hand over his chest.
"King Thorvald, Queen Aviana." He said, still bowing to the two of them
"Grand Pabbie?! Is…is that you, my friend?" King Thorvald questioned, shocked to see the troll
"Yes, and I'm happy to see you again, Your Majesties" Grand Pabbie gave a relieved smile back to the middle aged royal
"Indeed. But my friend, what has happened to you? You appear to have…well…aged" The King questioned, trying not to sound rude
"Never mind all that, where is our son?! Is he alright?!" Queen Aviana hastily interrupted the King by putting her arm over her husband as she questioned the elder troll with a concerned look.
"Not to worry, your Majesty, he's up there" The elder troll replied, looking up towards the large floating snowflake in the sky
As Grand Pabbie and the Umanakian King and Queen looked up towards the snowflake, Elsa and the Light spirit peered over the edge of the snowflake and saw what was going on from below. The Light spirit held her hands to her mouth in pure shock as she saw the newly restored Umanakian people. However, before she could do anything else, the light that radiated from Carsten and Anna's bodies suddenly began to shine much brighter then it had before. This caused the people of Arendelle, the Northuldrians, and the people of Umanakians to look up to see what was going on. Elsa and the Light spirit turned back towards the blinding white light and watched, unsure of what to do.
Kristoff, giving a look of worry, loudly whispered "Anna!" before quickly running over to Sven and hopping onto his back. Olaf, who had been perched on Sven's antlers, fell into Kristoff's lap as Sven began to quickly gallop up the high snow hill that Elsa had previously made. Once he reached the top and onto the snowflake platform, he jumped off of Sven and ran over towards the light, stopping just near Elsa and the Light spirit. The light shot up into the sky, with the teal green magic twisting around the column of white light, almost like a snake. The First spirit's symbol appeared in the sky, and after a second of hanging in the air, the teal green magic snaked up to the symbol and shot out in a wave that flew in all directions, before finally disappearing.
When this happened, something even more amazing happened. While the Light spirit's magic had dispelled the snowstorm from the previous Blessed One of Ice and the land had been brought to normal, it still wasn't completely restored. So now, the entire land belonging to Umanakia seemed to begin growing anew, revitalizing and becoming much more colorful and bountiful than before. Trees sprung to life and flowers popped out from the ground, blooming with many different types of buds and colors. The magic then began to restore the kingdom to practically brand new. Everything within the walls of the kingdom was rebuilt, organized and dusted off. Even the very walls surrounding the kingdom were cleaned and polished to a shine. Once everything was regrown and rejuvenated, figures began to spring up from all around.
The piles of wood and greenery that were once the Plant warriors of the First spirit began to float into the air and merged together, before shaping itself into a large deer with big antlers. The deer was made of wood, vines, and leaves with eyes that glowed a bright green. Then, three whisps of glowing magic quickly flew past the deer, shaping themselves into small birds. Each bird was a different breed with designs along their backsides, and each had a different color hue. One was bright blue owl, one was soft yellow dove, and the other was a reddish orange falcon. They flew around one another in a sort of pattern before perching themselves on the deer's antlers. From above, the clouds in the sky molded themselves into what looked like a swarm of koi fish, their tails and fins flapping before they "swam" around the column of light and the First spirit's symbol. They then "swam" down towards the ground before zooming through the Umanakians, who greeted the fish with delight as they flew by them. Then another bird came into being, this one resembling a phoenix with markings along it's back and wings, it's feathers a multitude of reds and yellows. His tail was quite long, trailing behind him as he soared above everyone. He then rose up a couple of feet higher in the air before thrusting out his wings, and two bolts of electricity shot through the sky.
A young Umanakian boy, who looked to be about 10 years old, smiled and pointed towards the newly formed creatures and pointed to them, saying "Mother look, the spirits are back!"
"The spirits? Those are the spirits?!" Honeymaren said, who heard the boy from where he stood, glancing to him before looking around her as more spirits appeared
"Incredible" Yelena uttered, not able to believe what she was seeing
More and more spirits began appearing from every which way, popping into existence as if they had always been there. Though they resembled your typical woodland and sea creatures, they exuded an aura that you could tell they were anything but animals. Some of the spirits where much different from the others, with one resembling a large wolf that had antlers growing from his head and large feathered bird wings on his backside, with many markings running along his body. There were some spirits that appeared who resembled what one would consider fairies. Some of these "fairies" had long wings on their upper back that resembled a dragonfly's wings and their bodies looked like twigs, covered in forest shrubbery and dandelion fluff on their heads, while the other fairies either had big butterfly wings and flower petal garments or they were made entirely of dust that took the form of a "fairy".
The spirits roamed through the large crowds of humans, with the Umanakian people greeting them like old friends while the Northuldrians and the Arendellians watched them in amazement and wonder. Several children from Arendelle watched as one of the spirits resembling a fairy flew around them, before one girl held cautiously held out her open palm. The spirit, after a brief moment of contemplation, gently landed on her palm. The girl gave an excited smile while the two other children, a boy and a girl, watched the spirit in amazement from either side of the girl's shoulders. The spirit, giving a curious glance, waved its hand in a twirling motion, which caused its magical aura to envelop the children, lifting them a few inches off the air. This made the children laugh and giggle in delight, which made the spirit smile in response.
As the rest of the spirits were popping back up into existence, the First spirit's symbol disappeared and the column of light shrank down before vanishing entirely. The blinding white light faded and what was left was the bodies of Carsten and Anna lying on their backs on the icy surface of the snowflake. This made Elsa, Kristoff, and the Light spirit rush over to them, while Olaf and Sven followed behind them.
""ANNA!"" Elsa and Kristoff cried out, rushing over and kneeling down to her.
"Brother! Carsten!" The Light spirit flew straight to the unconscious man
"Anna, can you hear me?!" Elsa questioned, putting a hand on Anna's cheek and facing her head towards her.
When that didn't get a response, Kristoff light shook her shoulders as he said "Anna! Anna, please! Wake up!"
"Carsten?! Brother?!" The Light spirit put one hand on the man's cheek and the other on his shoulder, trying to wake him.
Silence fell as they watched the two of them, neither responding to their desperate calls. Elsa looked to the Light spirit, who looked back her. Both of them wore expressions of grief, ones that said what they didn't want to say out loud. However, before any of them could say or do anything else, Anna's body began to radiate with blackened magic. The dark tendrils the spirit of Darkness often used wrapped themselves around her body and lifted her into the air. The dark magic cocooned her for a moment before bursting in a sort of explosion of black and dark violet magic dust, the magic sparkles lightly brushing Elsa and Kristoff's hair back as they watched in surprised awe. Anna's body now no longer wore the Queen of Darkness attire. Her hair was restored to its original strawberry blonde and had her Arendelle crown nestled in her hair. Her gown was now back to the beautiful dress she wore during the ball before the Darkness spirit took over her body, including the long cape affixed to her back.
Once she was back to her true self, her body slowly lowered back down onto the ground, to which Elsa gently cradled her sister's upper body in one arm, before glancing back over to the spirits and the unconscious Umanakian prince. Above her was the spirit of Darkness, who was now back to her original form since she was no longer connected to Anna. She flew over to the Light spirit and they held each other's forearms as they looked to one another.
"Sister, thank goodness you-" The Light spirit began to say to the Darkness spirit
However before she could finish her statement, the Light spirit and the Darkness spirit began to radiate their respective auras, the both of looking surprised for a moment before leaning back and closing their eyes as they were being wrapped in orbs of their magic power. As their magic orbs rose a bit higher in air, with Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven and the Water spirit watching. All of them, with the exception of the Water spirit looked at them with a mix of wonder and surprise.
The magic orbs glowed brighter, or darker in respect for the Darkness spirit, then exploded with a large puff of magical sparkles. The Light and Darkness spirit could now be seen, but their eyes were still shut and they were both still leaning back. The Darkness spirit's magic then begins to cluster around her forehead for a moment before dispersing, leaving behind an intricately woven silver forehead crown that had a deep purple jewel nestled in the center. After the crown appeared, the magic wrapped around her right arm, leaving behind long tattoo that had vines growing along her arm before ending with a crescent moon on the back of her hand. The same thing happened with the Light spirit, only this time her golden tiara was adorned with pearls and a clear diamond in its center, then was placed on her head within her golden curls. Her tattoo formed on her left arm, with the same vines up her arm, but a full sun on the back of her hand.
When they finally lowered down to where Elsa and the others were, their eyes opened wide and they slowly pulled themselves up. The Light spirit held one hand to her chest while the other was lightly touching the tiara that sat in her golden blonde hair, while the Darkness spirit gasped as she saw the tattoo on her arm. The two looked to one another and gave smiles that was filled with pure happiness.
"Sister, our curse has been lifted!" The Light spirit joyously proclaimed
"Yes! I no longer feel the anger or the hatred, it's all gone!" The Darkness spirit replied with the same happiness.
"Your curse?" Elsa questioned them from below
"After our brother's attack, our anger and sadness caused our magic to create a curse that sealed away all of our good feelings. But because Umanakia has been restored, so have we!
As the sister spirits began to hug one another joyously with tears streaming down their faces, a light suddenly began to shine from Prince Carsten's body. On his chest was the symbol of the First spirit. The symbol glowed for a minute before Carsten's entire body began to shine. Slowly, the figure of the First spirit rose from Carsten's body and hovered in the air for a moment while Carsten was lowered back onto the ice. The First spirit was dressed in his elegant robes, while his shoulder length hair, which was a light shade of baby blue, was now tied in a ponytail with an ornamental pin setting, When he lowered himself down to where he was only a few feet above the snowflake, the Light and Darkness spirits rose up in to the air and moved closer to him. He turned to look at them, which let Elsa get a glimpse of his face, but what she saw shocked her.
"Mother?!" Elsa called out
Unlike Anna, who saw King Agnarr, the First spirit's appearance to Elsa was that of the late Queen Iduna. But since the three legendary spirits were looking at one another, he didn't pay attention to Elsa's outburst. The First spirit looked at the Light and Darkness spirit, who both gave him shocked expressions and barely audible gasps as they floated over to him. The three of them hovered above Elsa, Kristoff, Anna, and Carsten. The First spirit, whose face had changed to that of an androgynous person without any discernable features, looked to the Light and Darkness spirits, his eyes cast down slightly.
"Sisters…I… I know that it will take a long time, if ever, for you to forgive me…but I-" The First spirit began, speaking softly as he spoke
The Light and Darkness spirits interrupted his speech, racing over to him and hugging onto him so tightly that one might break from the embrace, their heads on either side of his shoulders. He looked at them from either side with a shocked expression, seeing their faces streaming with tears as they embraced him.
"We were never angry with you…we were heartbroken because we didn't see how much you were in pain." The Darkness spirit quietly cried
"We never wanted to make you feel like you were not wanted. We should have realized sooner how you felt…forgive us." The Light spirit quietly continued, wiping away her tears as she held onto him.
"But…But after everything I did to you…how can you forgive me so easily?!" The First spirit uttered, tears threatening to fall in the corners of his eyes.
The Light and Darkness spirits let him go from their tight embrace and they each put a hand to one of his cheeks, giving relieved smiles to him.
"Because you are our brother…and we love you." The Darkness spirit replied
"Besides" The Light spirit began, giving a small chuckle before continuing with "You were trapped alongside us for all these years. How about we just call it even?"
The First spirit went quiet for a moment, lowering his head where they couldn't see his eyes. His shoulders began to shake, looking as though he was crying. When the Light and Darkness spirits reached to him in order to comfort him, his head jerked back up and he began to laugh out loud, only his laugh wasn't malicious or sarcastic. Rather, it was a hearty laugh that expressed years of jealousy, anguish, and sadness finally being let go. He embraced his sister spirits tightly as he continued to laugh, though now tears fell down his face. The Light and Darkness spirits hugged him back, with relieved expressions and freefalling tears.
As the sibling spirits reconciled with one another, down below them Elsa and Kristoff were watching them. So they didn't notice as one of Anna's fingers began to twitch. Olaf, however, saw this and leaned over Sven's antlers to get a better look, which made Sven give him a sort of annoyed look towards the animate snowman. Then Anna's head slowly turns to the side in Elsa's arm, which Elsa and Kristoff notice and look down to her.
"Anna?!" Elsa questioned, her face holding a shocked but happy expression and her voice a sort of gasp as she sees her sister move
Anna's closed eyes squint as she groans and turns her head the other way, before finally her eyes open, now restored to their original turquoise blue. Her eyelids flutter a couple of times before she turns her head from side to side, looking first at Elsa, then at Kristoff.
"…Elsa? Kristoff?" She muttered in a soft voice, giving a small smile as she recognizes who is next to her
"We're right here, Anna" Kristoff said with a relieved smile, scooting a bit closer to her.
Anna lifted herself from Elsa's arm and sat up straight. She looked over to Elsa, who gave her an uncertain look, as if she was saying "are you okay?"
"Hey Elsa…I'm back" Anna quietly said, giving a small smile to her elder sister
"…Oh Anna!" Elsa cried out as she quickly reached down and hugged Anna tightly.
Anna gave an "oof" as Elsa's sudden embrace knocked a bit of wind out of her, but she smiled at her sister's head that was resting on Anna's right shoulder, hugging her big sister back. Elsa, after having her moment to rejoice and hug her sister, looked at Anna while holding on to her shoulders before the two of them smiled to one another and chuckled a bit. Anna then looked over to Kristoff, who was giving her an expression of happiness and relief.
"Kristoff" Anna said with a relieved smile as well
"Anna" Kristoff replied, before wrapping her up into a tight hug and saying "I'm so glad you're alright"
When the two let go of one another, Anna began to say "Kristoff, I'm so sorry. You just wanted to be there for me and I-"
"Hey, stop" Kristoff said, holding up a hand to her cheek as a way to stop her from talking, then said "It's okay. It wasn't your fault."
"But it was. If I didn't accept the Darkness spirit's deal, none of this would have happened." Anna replied, turning her head from his hand before letting her shoulders slump a bit, glancing at Elsa as she said "All because I was jealous of my own sister"
"Hey, that wasn't you." Kristoff said, putting a hand to her shoulder as he encouraged her with a understanding smile
"He's right. That was the part of you that would never have been seen if not for her." Elsa said, nodding towards the Darkness spirit above them, then continuing with "And let's be honest, we're both at fault. After our fight in Arendelle, I shouldn't have run off to the island. Had I just talked things out with you, then all of this might have been avoided."
"But you know, in a weird way, I think all of this happening was a good thing for us." Anna said with a small shrug
"Yeah, I know what you mean. We've been through a lot, and now…now I think we can finally put the past behind us." Elsa replied with a small smile and a nod
"So everything's okay now? Everyone is friends again?" Olaf questioned, having hopped down from Sven
"Yes Olaf, we're all friends again. And speaking of friends, I'm sorry for yelling at you before. Do you think you can forgive me so that we can be friends again?" Anna replied with a small laugh before holding out her hand to him
"Can we be best friends?!" Olaf happily questioned
"Yes, of course we can." Anna laughed again
"Yay! Okay, I forgive you! Now, best friend hug!" Olaf giddily jumped up and down before giving Anna a big hug, who happily hugged him back.
When Olaf let go from their hug, Anna looked to Elsa, and the two smiled to one another before giving each other another hug. She then looked back to Kristoff, who smiled back to her. After a tight hug, the two looked to one another before sharing a quick, but loving kiss. The three legendary spirits had been watching the exchange quietly with small smiles on their faces. However, their attention was soon diverted by another interruption.
Prince Carsten, whose body was lying only a couple of feet away from Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff, began to twitch and move. His head moved just a tiny bit before his eyes opened, squinting them as though the light from the sun above them was hurting his eyes. He put a hand over his face to block the sun's light, giving a small groan as he used the elbow of his other arm to help him sit upright. He looked around, his blue eyes looking around with confusion as to where he was.
""Carsten!"" The Light and Darkness spirits called out in surprise
The two sister spirits quickly floated down to where the Umanakian prince was siting, kneeling in front of him on the ice on either side of his legs. While holding a hand to his forehead, he shook his head in a similar fashion to one who was trying to recall a memory. He looked up to see the two spirits kneeling in front of him, who gave him inaudible, slightly open mouth gasps. His eyebrows shot up as he came to realize who was sitting in front of him.
"Selene? Thea?" He said, looking to each of them as he said their names, a smile forming on his face.
"Thank goodness you're alright." The Darkness spirit replied with a look of relieved smile
She and the Light spirit each took on of Prince Carsten's hands and helped him slowly rise to his feet. Elsa and Kristoff followed their lead and helped Anna up as well. Carsten gripped the sister spirit's hands with a much bright smile.
"But how are we here? And..." Carsten eagerly questioned them, but then put his hands to his chest and looked down at the rest of his body before looking up and asking "I can't feel Lord Atkatulok inside me, does that mean that…?"
The Light and Darkness spirits looked up to Atkatulok, who was still hovering in the air, but had turned away from them. His face had a downcast look that was mixed with a bit of shame. The Darkness spirit floated up to him and took his hand, which made him look to her. She gave him an encouraging nod, which made him press his lips into a straight line, nodding back to her. The two floated back down to the Light spirit and Prince Carsten, the latter looking at the First spirit with an expression that was both surprised and a bit cautious.
Looking at the prince, the First spirit quietly said "Young prince of Umanakia…I'm… I'm sorry…for what I've done to you and your people. My jealousy of my sister's love for you blinded me, I see that now. I hope that one day…I can make up for all the trouble I've caused."
As the First spirit lowered his head a little, so as to not look the young man in the eyes, Prince Carsten eyebrows rose as he looked towards Atkatulok in surprise. He then looked at Selene, who was watching her brother with a saddened look. He then looked over to Thea, who was holding the First spirit's arm in order to comfort him. After glancing down to the ground below the snowflake where the freed Umanakians and spirits watched in anticipation, he then thought to himself for a moment before giving a look of resolution and turning back towards the First spirit.
"Lord Atkatulok" Prince Carsten started, crossing a hand over his chest as he continued with "Umanakia has, and always will, praise and worship the spirits of this world. And that, of course, includes you"
"Carsten!" The Light spirit smiled greatly and exclaimed while the Darkness spirit gave a joyous gasp and the First spirit looked up in surprised shock.
The prince continued with "From what I can see, the curse has been lifted, my kingdom and my people are safe, and it seems that you, Selene and Thea have made up. And if they can forgive you, then I can as well."
"…Are you sure?" The First spirit questioned with a look of uncertainty
"I am" The prince nodded, then said "Of course, it will take time to make up for all the years we've lost. But we have plenty of time. And as long as you promise to continue to serve your role as the protector of our home and our world, I think we can all move forward and start over. What do you say?"
The prince held out a hand to the First spirit. After a moment, the First spirit gripped the prince's hand. The two looked to one another and nodded.
"It would be my pleasure" The First spirit replied
The prince gave another nod with a small smile before seeing the group of people in the corner of his eye, which makes him turn to face them. Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf all make their way over to the prince and the legendary spirits, with Elsa and Kristoff each holding one of Anna's arms to make sure she didn't stumble. When they reached the prince, Anna motioned for the two to let go of her, then looked to the prince with a courteous smile.
"Prince Carsten, I'm Queen Anna of Arendelle. This is my sister, Elsa, and my fiance Kristoff. Oh, and this is Olaf and Sven. It's good to finally meet you" Anna said, giving him a formal curtsey before pointing to the rest of them.
As the rest of them bow to the prince, he gives a puzzled look as he say "Oh…well the honor is mine, of course. But forgive me…I'm not quite familiar with the kingdom of Arendelle."
"It's alright, I'd say it's been at least a few centuries since you were sealed, so I doubt you would know of it." Anna replied with an understanding smile and holding up a hand as if to stop him from apologizing
"…Have we really been gone for so long?" Carsten quietly asked, looking to Thea for the answer.
When she gave a solemn nod, he said "I see. Well then, what brings the Queen of Arendelle this far from home?"
"It's…a long story" Anna replied with an awkward smile as she looked to the spirits knowingly, then said "But to sum it up, we ended up helping them bring you and your people home."
"Really?" The prince gave a friendly look of surprise
"Yes. But we can save that for later. Right now, it seems everyone is waiting for us." Elsa replied
(Now at this part, imagine the trademark Frozen song Na Na Ne Na playing in the background)
Elsa then took a step back and slowly lifted her hands into the air. When she did this, the large snow hill and the ice trail that was made during the earlier battle with the First spirit turned into snowflakes and flurried around them. As this was happening, the snowflake platform began to slowly descend to the ground below. This made the people spread out so that they wouldn't be standing under it when it reached the bottom. Only the First spirit, the Light spirit, and the Darkness spirit remained in the air, but they soon began to slowly float down along with them, circling around the platform as they did so. The snowflakes continued to flurry around them as they finally reached the ground, where the platform also changed puffed into millions of tiny snowflakes, joining the flurry before they all swarmed around Elsa. They collected together and became one solid snowflake that floated in front of her, which she then placed her palm in it's center. This made the snowflake poof into dust and absorb back into her.
Once they were safely at the bottom, they saw that all the humans, including the Arendellians, the Northuldrains, and the newly freed Umanakians and spirits were all mixed together in a massive gathering. Everyone watched them as they took a few steps closer to them before stopping where they stood. Yelena, Honeymaren, and Ryder all watched nearby. The Water spirit stayed near Elsa, as he was still covered in his protective frost layer. Loud murmurs and talking swept through the crowd as they watched.
"Carsten!" Two voices could be heard calling for the Umanakian prince
Running through the large crowd that split apart in order to make way for them, the King and Queen of Umanakia saw the prince and ran towards him. Carsten, who saw them, smiled and lightly jogged over to meet them. They all hugged one another tightly for a moment before they broke apart and the Queen put her hands on Carsten's face, kissing his forehead and cheeks as tears streamed down her face.
"Oh my son, are you okay?! You're not hurt are you?!" The Queen asked as she smiled and cried.
"Son, what has happened? The last thing I can remember is your birthday celebration and then First spirit appeared and cursed us." The King questioned, holding a hand on Carsten's shoulder.
"Everything will be explained soon, father. But first, there is something I have something to do."
Prince Carsten looked to Anna and the two gave understanding nods to one another. He then took a few more steps forward while Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven, the King and Queen as well as the legendary spirits stayed where they were.
"To all my people who call Umanakia home, hear me well! At long last, we have been freed from the curse of our homeland! We have suffered quite the hardship, but we stayed strong and overcame this great trial! This marks the beginning of a brand new era, an era that shall stand as the rebirth of Umanakia and its people!"
The prince's words boomed out with strength that carried out towards all who listened. It made everyone who belonged to the reborn kingdom of Umanakia erupt into yells of unanimous agreement and hurrahs, while those who belonged elsewhere smiled towards them with a sort of comradery. The King and Queen looked to their soon with pride while the Anna, Elsa, and the rest watched with silent expressions of relief and joy.
Then, while the cheers were dying down, the Light spirit, the Darkness spirit, and the First spirit all floated down and hovered a foot above the ground in front of Carsten. The First spirit floated a little bit closer to the people, who all looked unsure of what he was going to do.
"For the longest time, I was blinded by my sister's love for you all. And because of that, I caused you all to suffer terribly. However, on this very day, I will swear to you that I shall protect you, your kingdom, and this world till the end of time, no matter how long that may be." The First spirit swore to the people of Umanakia
"And we will live by that oath as well" The Light spirit nodded to them
"Yes, we shall, to the very end" The Darkness spirit nodded
When the legendary spirits made their oath, instead of saying anything in response, Prince Carsten placed one hand on his chest and one on his stomach, then knelt down on one knee and bowed his head towards them.
"TO THE PRAISE OF THE SPIRITS AND THE GLORY OF UMANAKIA!" The prince cried out with pride and vigor
The people of Umanakia, including the King and Queen, followed the prince's lead, put one hand on their chests and one on their stomachs, then lowered down to one knee and bowing their heads towards the spirits all around them. The people of Arendelle and Northuldra were still standing, watching everything that was happening with awe.
"""""""TO THE PRAISE OF THE SPIRITS AND THE GLORY OF UMANAKIA!"""""""""
As their voices rang out, the spirits looked to the Umanakian people with appreciation. They performed feats of their magic as a way of expressing their thanks. Then, while they were still kneeling, several of the Umanakian people began to glow brightly, which made everyone look towards them.
Once the bright lights disappeared, one woman stood up and looked to her hands. She then raised one hand up into the air and suddenly, a bolt of lightning shot out from her palm, crackling and soaring high up into the sky before vanishing. The woman then began to laugh with delight as she looked to her hand, electricity radiating from it.
"My magic is back!" The woman cried out, looking towards the others nearby
This caused the other people who were glowing to also try using their magic. One man picked up a rock and held it in his hand. After a moment of concentration, dark green magic encased the rock and it shapeshifted into a long, intricately designed stone staff. This made him smile as he put one end of the staff on the ground and held it like a walking stick. Another woman suddenly began to float in the air while her pinkish magic trailed behind her. She then began to fly around in the air with the different colored bird spirits, her magic leaving a streak of pink in the air as she laughed in pure delight, glancing to the spirits that flew with her. One young boy tapped his friend's shoulder with a giggle. When the other young boy turned, the first boy disappeared in a puff of magic smoke, before reappearing behind him again. When the boy turned back, the first boy spooked him, causing the other boy to jump back for a moment, before the two of them laugh together.
Prince Carsten, who had gotten up from where he was kneeling, had also been one of the people to glow. When he stood up, he held out his hands and faced his palms so that he could see them. He closed his eyes and, after a moment of concentration, golden particles of light magic radiated from one hand while ebony tendrils twirled around the other hand like whisps of smoke, then the symbols of the Light and Darkness spirits formed in his opened palms with their respective magic. He gave a laugh as he looked to the Light and Darkness spirits, who looked back at him with smiles of knowing.
"The magic of the Blessed Ones have been restored. This moment truly marks the beginning of Umanakia's rebirth." The First spirit stated to the prince, then looked to the rest and said "Be sure to use your gifts well and serve your kingdom with pride."
The Blessed Ones of the Umanakian people lightly pounded their fist across their chests as a way to signify their acceptance of his decree. Grand Pabbie suddenly rolled up to the legendary spirits and popped out of his rock form, and with him was Yelena who was carrying her bag in her hands.
"Selene, Thea, we have a request for the two of you" Grand Pabbie started, then motioned Yelena to them
Yelena nodded at him and held up her bag to them, saying "Please help the Fire and Wind spirits."
"Oh, of course! Sister, quickly!" The Darkness spirit exclaimed
The two of them held out their hands towards the bag and out of it came the dry leaves of the Wind spirit and the weakened Fire spirit. They were lifted into the air and then wrapped in the cocoon of dark and golden magic from before that had originally stolen their magic power. When the swirling cocoon exploded into dust, the salamander Fire spirit was lowered into Grand Pabbie's stone hands while the leaves of the Wind spirit landed in Yelena's open palms.
After of moment of silence, dry leaves began to slowly lift up on their own. Gale the Wind spirit was now restored. His leaves did a full flip in the air in front of Yelena in rejoice. Then the leaves began to fly around at high speeds around them. He swished his leaves around the Light and Darkness spirit before doing the same for Prince Carsten, his parents, Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven.
Then, while Bruni's small body was still unconscious in Grand Pabbie's hand, the symbol of the Fire spirit slowly reappeared on his backside. Then, small flames flickered along his head, back and tail. All of a sudden, his eyes popped open and he sprang up in Grand Pabbie's hand. He looked down at his tiny feet before looking back up at Grand Pabbie and gave a smile. He then jumped out of the elder troll's hand and zoomed around, leaving a trail of fire in his wake. Elsa was quick to douse the flames, which directed his attention to her. He ran over to her, zoomed up her legs and into her open hands. She and Anna laughed at him as Elsa cooled off the flames on his body. Gale swished around him, making him float in the air for a moment before putting him back down.
At the revival of the Wind and Fire spirits, the Light and Darkness spirits came up to them. The Fire spirit was wary at first, but the Darkness spirit got closer to him.
"Fire spirit. Wind spirit. We're very sorry for stealing your magic. We hope you can forgive us" The Darkness spirit quietly apologized on behalf of her and the Light spirit, holding out a hand to him while giving him an apologetic smile.
Bruni looked to her open hand for a moment with caution in his expression. However, when he looked up at the Darkness spirit, he saw the small smile on her face, her eyes telling him that it was alright. He smiled back at this and quickly, but lightly padded over to her hand and up her arm. When he got to her shoulder, he snuggled her neck, making the Darkness spirit giggle a bit. The Wind spirit, seeing this, swished around the Light spirit as a way of showing he forgave them, making the Light spirit smile at him.
Prince Carsten, watching all of this unfold, stepped forward towards the large crowd of people and loudly stated "As the Crown Prince of Umanakia, I would also like to give my thanks to the kingdom of Arendelle and it's Queen, without whom we might not be here today!"
He turned and held a hand out towards Anna, who gave a look of surprise when he did this. When she looked to Elsa, she quietly nodded and the two of them walked up to the prince. Anna gave a somewhat awkward but happy expression while Elsa simply smiled as the two of them stood next to him. As they did so, the crowds of people cheered and clapped, while the spirits showed their appreciation through small shows of their magic. Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven watched from behind them with joy, while the Light spirit, the Darkness spirit with Bruni on her shoulder, and the First spirit observed everything from above.
"Furthermore, I-" The prince began
"Hold on" Elsa interrupted Prince Carsten, then continuing with "I have something I need to say."
This made the prince look to her with surprise for a moment, but then he nodded and took one small step to the side and held out a hand to indicate she had the floor. Elsa let go of Anna's arm and looked to the large crown of people, then to Anna, then back to the crowd again.
"I've been considering this for a while, but was unsure if I should do it. After everything that has happened, I now believe that this is the right thing to do." Elsa stated to the crowd.
"Elsa, what's going on?" Anna questioned her elder sister.
"Anna, you've had to give up so much just so that I could live my life freely. And you were never even given a choice."
"What are you trying to say?" Anna replied, giving a very confused look
"I'm saying that, if you no longer wish to rule, I am willing to return to Arendelle as its Queen" Elsa replied with a serious expression on her face
This revelation made the crowds murmur loudly, everyone looking to one another with shock as they quietly gossiped. This even made the Umanakian royal family and the legendary spirits, as well as Kristoff, Olaf and Sven all looked surprised.
Anna, unsure of what she just heard, replied with "Wait…but what about the Enchanted Forest?"
"It doesn't need me anymore. I may have my powers back, but as you can see…" Elsa stated while shaking her head, then looked to the large crowd of people that intermingled with the newly reborn spirits, then said "Humans and magic have never been more connected then they are right now."
Anna looked towards the massive crowds of people. She could see the people of Arendelle, the Northuldra tribespeople, the citizens of Umanakia and even the newly reformed spirits. She then looked back to her sister, still looking unsure.
"You were right before. I should have asked you if being the Queen was what you wanted. So now, you can make that choice."
She and Anna looked towards the crowd where most of the Arendellians were, saying "You can choose to keep being the Queen of Arendelle. Or…"
They then turned towards the open expanse of the lake near the field that they stood in, seeing mountains in the far distance as well as the many trees that dotted them.
"You can go wherever your heart takes you" Elsa said, then they looked at one another as she continued with "You can become my ambassador and travel to faraway places, just like you wanted to when we were kids. The choice is yours."
Anna's eyes widened for a moment as she looked at her sister, then looked downward as she gave a look of consideration. She turned towards the citizens of Arendelle, who all watched her with looks of unease and baited breaths. She then looked to the far off distance where the lake and mountains stood, a light breeze wisping her baby hairs as she stood there.
Still unsure of what to decide, she begins with "I…"
However, before she could continue, she felt something tug on her sleeve. She turned and saw that it was a young girl, same one who wore the magic crystal Yelena gave her during the battle. But she wasn't alone, as a bunch of Arendelle's citizens, including Kai, Gerda, General Mattias, and several townsfolk and kids had all come up to them. Anna gave a surprised look as she saw all of them approach, but was distracted when the girl tugged on her sleeve again.
"Please don't go Queen Anna. We'll miss you" The little girl quietly said to Anna
"What?" Anna questioned, her look of surprise still masking her face
"Your majesty, it would be a great loss to Arendelle if you were to leave, please reconsider." One townsfolk man piped up
Then, all at once, almost everyone in the crowd of people that came up to Anna and Elsa began talking at the same time. Words like "Your majesty" and "Don't go" and "Please stay" among many others of similar nature could be heard. When they finally quieted down, Anna looked at them from side to side with confusion.
"But I thought…you all preferred Elsa. And after everything I did…" Anna questioned, her voice barely higher than a whisper
"We know it wasn't your fault, your majesty." Gerda quietly replied to her with a soft smile
"It is true that Elsa was a remarkable Queen. However, your loyalty and love for Arendelle has always been much greater than even that of your late father, rest his soul." Kai responded, taking a step closer to her as he continued with "We're truly sorry for making you feel inadequate. If you can find it in yourself to forgive us, we will do everything we can to make Arendelle stand tall with you as it's Queen."
One little boy came up and said "I want to see you juggling ice again! Can I?!"
Anna couldn't help but give a small laugh at the boy's sudden request, to which his mother hushed him and pulled him back to her as General Mattias stepped closer to her, putting a hand across his chest as he did so.
"Your majesty…were it not for you, I'd still be stuck in the Enchanted Forest to this day. When you stood your ground against the Earth Giants in order to destroy the dam, I knew then and there that you were the one I wished to serve as my Queen. So no matter what you choose, I shall always remain loyal to you and your rule." General Mattias pledged to Anna
Anna, hearing all of this, felt overcome with emotion. She held a hand to her mouth as she tried, but failed to hold back a smile and gave a sort of embarrassed laugh. Elsa tilted her head with a smile as she watched all of this unfold. Prince Carsten, the King and Queen, the legendary spirits, the large crowd of people, as well as Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, all watched quietly. As Anna looked to her people, she then gave a neutral expression as she turned and took a couple of steps towards the open expanse, remaining quite for a moment. She quietly took off her crown and turned it over so she could look at it, while the people behind her held their breaths.
"…When I was young, I wanted to travel the world and see everything it had to offer. And I was worried that being Queen meant that I no longer could do the things that I've dreamt of doing. However…" Anna began, looking up from the crown to the large open expanse before turning back to them and saying to Elsa with a smile "You said something to me once before. That all I needed to do was to find the right balance. And you know what? I think you were right."
Anna, still holding her crown in her hands, walked back over to the group of people. Anna held up the crown closer to her for a moment before looking to Elsa, giving a smile that showed that she had the her answer.
"So yes…I will remain as Queen of Arendelle." Anna replied with a smile, to which everyone around her began to smile as well.
"Are you sure that's what you want?" Elsa questioned her, putting a hand on Anna's shoulder
"Yeah. I just don't think I could bear to leave Arendelle. It's my home." Anna replied with a serene smile as she nodded to her elder sister.
This made everyone smile, and then Kai made his way through the small gathering of people and stood in front of the rest of the people, raising one hand in the air.
"The Queen will stay!" He proclaimed loudly for everyone to hear.
This caused everyone, even the people of Umanakia to clap and cheer in response. The little girl and boy from before hugged Anna's legs while several of the adults began to shake her hands and cheered. Once Anna was able to get the kids off her legs, she turned to Elsa and held out her crown to her.
"Elsa, would you mind helping me with this?" Anna asked her sister, still smiling
"Of course" Elsa smiled back, taking the crown from her.
Anna bowed her head down and Elsa lightly place the crown onto Anna's head, securing it by slipping the ends through her hair. This made the crowds of people cheer some more as Anna rose back up, after which she and Elsa hug one another. Kristoff, who made his way over to them, hugged her once she was done hugging Elsa. Elsa then pulls away and looks at Anna with a smile.
"I want to show you something" Elsa quietly said
She turns and flicks out her hands, a swarm of frost and snow forming in front of her. It spins and mends together, forming the snow statues of the late Queen Iduna and King Agnarr. This makes Anna gasp, looking up at the snow sculptures with wide eyes. It was a memory of their parents. Elsa flicks her wrist again, which causes the snow Iduna to speak.
"Darling, I've been thinking" Iduna started
Anna gasped and held a hand over her mouth. This was the first time she heard her mother's voice since her parents deaths. She looks to Elsa, who glances back at her, before they both look at the snow again.
"It might be time to tell Anna about Elsa. I can't bear keeping her shut out anymore. She's maturing now, she can be responsible." Iduna quietly stated her case
"It's not Anna I'm worried about" Agnarr began, and as he continues Anna get's closer to them hesitantly, "What if we let them get close again and the feelings are too much for Elsa? Joy brings her powers out as strongly as fear."
At this point, Anna was now close enough to where she could touch them.
Queen Iduna, while still holding onto one of Agnarr's hands, stepped closer out to where Anna stood, the memory of Iduna not realizing Anna was right there.
"But if anyone can find a way to help her, it's Anna." Iduna stated
Agnarr gave a smile and said "You may be right about that. There's not much that girl can't do"
Iduna smiled at his statement, replying with "Oh, her love could hold up the world."
Anna, who had been holding back tears at this point, finally let them fall as her mother said this right to her face.
"Lucky for the world" Agnarr replied, then the two of them held onto one another and he said "Okay, we'll tell her when we return."
Iduna and Agnarr then smile at one another and hug, before disappearing in a flutter of snowflakes and frost. Anna held out a hand towards them, wanting to reach out to them and hug them. She watched the ice disappear into the air. Elsa came and stood next to Anna, who quickly hugged her tightly.
"Thank you so much for that" Anna quietly said as she continued to let tears fall
"They believed in you Anna" Elsa said, holding back tears herself, before saying "And so do I"
"You're going to stay in the Enchanted Forest, right?" Anna questioned her
Elsa pondered for a moment, then looked towards the distance "I honestly don't know how the forest and the spirits will need me now. But I want to be there when they do."
"And I want you to be there too. You have your place, and I…I finally know mine" Anna said, looking towards her people.
The two hug each other once more. However, during their hug, Anna noticed the legendary spirits lowering themselves to where they stood, which made her let go of Kristoff and get closer to them. The First spirit lowered himself closer to her, but still hovered a foot above the ground.
"So…I'm guessing my magic is…" Anna began quietly, wearing a sort of understanding smile on her face
"Yes…it's gone. I'm sorry, undoing my curse used up too much magic." The First spirit shook his head apologetically
"It's alright. You can't really miss something if you haven't had it for long." Anna said with a small sigh and smile
Elsa walked over to Anna and placed a hand on her shoulder, saying "I'm sorry Anna, I know how excited you were to have magic of your own."
Anna looked at Elsa with a small smile and put her hand on top of Elsa's hand that was resting on her shoulder. As the two looked at one another, the Darkness spirit, who had been watching everything with an apologetic expression, suddenly had a look of realization and her eyes widened for a second.
"Sister?" The Light spirit questioned when she saw the look on her face, however the Darkness spirit didn't reply and quickly flew down to where the First spirit and the Arendellian sisters were.
"You're magic may be gone, but there is still a way for you to have power like Elsa." The Darkness spirit gave a smile to Anna
Anna and Elsa looked to her with looks of surprise on their faces, with Elsa asking "What do you mean?"
"We had a deal, remember? You help us to restore Umanakia, and we would make you a Blessed One like your sister. And you know what? You fulfilled your end of the bargain. So it's only fair that we do the same." The Darkness spirit replied, placing a hand on her chest as she smiled
At this point, the Light spirit lowered herself to where they were, floating next to the First spirit and saying "She's right, a deal is a deal. We would be happy to make you into a Blessed One. The first Blessed One in over several centuries."
This made Elsa and Anna look to one another in surprise, with Elsa giving a wide open smile and Anna simply looking shocked. Olaf, who is in the background still riding Sven, gives a happy gasp and pulls Sven's antlers back, planting his face in Sven's face.
"Oh wow! Anna's going to have cool magic like Elsa?! That's amazing! Or would she have hot magic? I guess she would since Elsa's already got the cool magic. Or would she have pink magic? That would be even better!" Olaf loudly stated, getting excited at the idea of pink magic.
"My congratulations to you. Being chosen as Blessed One is the highest honor one can receive in Umanakia, especially if it's from Selene and Thea." Prince Carsten replied with a smile
"Anna, did you hear that?! You're going to be just like me!" Elsa excitedly proclaimed, taking Anna's shoulders in her hands as she says this.
"Yeah, I can't believe it!" Anna began to reply with almost as much enthusiasm as Elsa, turning towards the people around her while say "It's…it's…"
However, she pulled back and went into deep thought, her face painted with a look that was unsure. When she looked to all of her people standing either around her or nearby, her face became somewhat neutral. She looked all around her, seeing all of the spirits and people around her. She then looked at the legendary spirits and the prince, then to her sister, then to Kristoff, Olaf and Sven. She thought to herself for a moment, giving a glance to her empty hand, then gave a small smile and looked up to the legendary spirits.
"You know what? I think I'm good." Anna replied, shaking her head as she replied
The Light spirit gave a look of pure surprise as she replied with "You're serious?"
"I am" Anna nodded back to her
"Anna, what are you doing?! You can't give this up, it's what you've always wanted!" Elsa exclaimed
Anna nodded to this, taking Elsa's hands into her own and saying "Yeah, but it's not what I need. I've gone my whole life without magic, and I'll still be fine even now. Besides, after everything that has happened in our lives, I think having one magical person in the family is enough."
Elsa gave a small resigned smile at this. The two women looked at one another knowingly, taping their foreheads together before giving small chuckles. Anna then turned back to the legendary spirits with a confident smile on her face.
"Thank you for the offer, but I think I'll stick to being a regular girl."
"Are you certain? You know you can always change your mind" The Light spirit questioned her
"I know. But I already have so much. My sister" She said, looking to Elsa "My soon-to-be husband" she looked to Kristoff "My friends" she looked to Olaf, Sven and the Northuldra clan including Honeymaren, Ryder, and Yelena "My people" she looked to all of the people of the Arendelle around her "And even the spirits" she looked to the three legendary spirits.
"I'm happy with what I have, I don't need anything more" Anna said, slightly shaking her head
"Words of a true Queen" The Queen of Umanakia spoke up, nodding to her as she said this
"Very well, we will respect your decision." The Light spirit replied
"However, we still wish to reward you for all you've done for us" The Darkness spirit stated
She then closed her eyes and held out her hand, along with the Light spirit who did the same. Their magic came together and created a thin gold spiral forearm bracelet. Along the loops of the bracelet were tiny gold leaves with green jewels and at the top was a delicate flower with purple jeweled petals and a clear diamond center. When the bracelet was formed, they had it fasten itself to Anna's right hand.
"Oh, it's beautiful. But what is-" Anna began to ask, but was stopped when the Light spirit held up a hand
The Light spirit and the Darkness spirit turned, to which Anna saw the large deer spirit that was comprised of trees, vines, leaves, and other bits of nature. He slowly walked up to her, who couldn't take her eyes away from it. He looked her in the eyes for a moment, and as they looked at one another, Anna got the courage to reach out and touch him, using her right hand where the forearm bracelet laid. After a moment of caution, she touched his wooden and mossy nose lightly, to which he closed his eyes at her touch.
Then, her bracelet began to shine with a green light coming from the diamond in the flower bud. When the green light disappeared, the clear diamond was now green in color and the bracelet was now etched with a small design all along the gold band. This was the symbol of the Nature spirit. The Nature spirit lifted his head once, gave her a small nod, and then walked away. Anna watched him leave for a moment before looking at her bracelet.
"That bracelet now holds a piece of the Nature spirit's power. While not as strong as a blessing, this bracelet will allow you to use magic if you should so desire. Consider it a gift to be passed down to your children, and to their children, and so on." The Darkness spirit explained
Anna looked at the bracelet with amazement, then flicked her hand out to test it. Suddenly, a vast array of flowers sprouted from the ground around her, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf. Olaf giddily jumped off of Sven and began to roll around in the flowers, sniffing one of them with enthusiasm. Anna gave a joyful laugh, looked at the bracelet once more and then back to them.
"Thank you" Anna replied with a grateful smile.
The First spirit pulled forward, saying "Of course, that's not all. There's one more gift I wish to bestow. To the both of you"
Anna and Elsa looked at one another before looking back at him in wonder.
"By my right as the First spirit of this world, I herby name Elsa and Anna of Arendelle honorary spirits. Elsa shall bear the title of the 5th Spirit of the Enchanted Forest, and Anna shall bear the title of the Spirit of Humanity. These shall serve as proof of this decree." The First spirit called out to all who listened
With a flick of his wrist, white light sparkled from his hand and suddenly, an earring appeared on each of the their ears. For Elsa, hers was on her left ear and Anna's was on her right. The earrings were small, silver drop earrings that had the First spirit's symbol hanging from them. The women looked to one another's ears in awe, then turned to him and bowed their heads to him.
When this happened, all the people either cheered or clapped in celebration for them. The King and Queen of Umanakia, along with Prince Carsten, all clapped for them before making their way to where the crowd of people could see them. The Queen held out a hand to Anna and Elsa, who came and stood by them. Prince Carsten then took a step forward and so did Anna.
"On this day, the kingdoms of Arendelle and Umanakia shall join hands in alliance! Let us bring about a bright future for all who stand here today!" The prince cried out, taking Anna's hand and throwing both their arms up into the air in triumph
Everyone in the large open field, both people and spirits alike, cheered as the prince declared the alliance between the two kingdoms. Anna looked back at Elsa with a big smile, who reflected her expression back to her, before looking towards the people again, her eyes filled with hope and happiness.
(We then see a sped up montage where the Anna, Elsa, and the King and Queen of Umanakia silently discuss something over a table with two maps lying on it, then they all agree with one another. Then we see Anna, the people of Arendelle, and Northuldra all waving goodbye on ships as they depart from the Umanakian lands, the people and the royal family waving back to them as they leave, while Elsa rides the Nokk across the water. Then we see Anna and the people of Arendelle silently waving goodbye to the Northuldra tribe as they leave them at their camp, riding on ice carts that Elsa made, who was still riding the Nokk. They then wave goodby to Grand Pabbie and the rest of the trolls in the Valley of the Living Rock. Then we see everyone in Arendelle all standing near the castle, which was still covered in blackened ice that was made when Anna was still the Queen of Darkness. Elsa quickly gets rid of the ice and replaces it with her ice accents, everyone around them silently clapping in response. Then we see Elsa and Anna in Anna's bedchambers, sitting on her bed and talking to one another. Their expressions ranged from laughing hysterically, serious discussions, and even silently crying, and as they do this daytime changes to night, and then we see them both sleeping in Anna's room. We then cut to see people busily preparing the castle and the town for Anna and Kristoff's wedding once again.)
Anna, who emerged from the castles main doors, took a deep breath and gave a serene smile on her face.
(Alright song time! Now, I basically took Frozen 2's Home and just added a few more lines here and there. Remember, this belongs to the MAKERS OF THE FROZEN FRANCHISE. I just felt that this song deserves recognition.)
I smell that salty breeze blowing through the fjord
I hear those creaky ships as old board meets old board
I breathe in the place I live and wonder what else can I give
This home, my home
(Anna walks through the courtyard and out the gates that open when she gets near them. She looks around as she sings, then places both hands on her chest)
Wandering through the town with everyone doing all of their stuff
Somewhere in my heart I feel I've not yet done enough
For these people I know, this place that I love so
My home, my home
(Anna walks through the main town, watching as everyone is busying themselves with their tasks or preparations for the wedding. She puts a hand on the shoulder of one man who is steadily working on some leather, who smiles at her as she continues on. We then cut to Elsa, who is gathering flowers to be made into the wedding bouquet, who then starts singing)
Our life's been filled with ups and downs, and yet now we're here
We've gone so far and learned so much, and now our paths are clear
So now is the time to celebrate, and bring about a new day
Because now we've found the way
(Elsa, as she sings, arranges the bouquet and then gives it to a woman and points towards the castle. She nods and walks off with it, and Elsa continues to go about her business, helping a woman nearby who is having trouble with what she was working on.)
I whistle as I walk, the lovely smell of kransekake wafting out of the baker's door
The merchants haggling over fish remind me I have what I wish
'Cause I'm not alone anymore
(We then cut back to Anna who is still walking through the town as she sings. Then, Anna and Elsa see one another, and they quickly walk up to one another. They then walk hand in hand back to the castle, standing on the bridge in front of the main gates)
I'm grateful for this castle and for everything we've got
Especially my family, we've all been through a lot
I know how fragile things can be
If I lost them, I'd lose me
They're my ocean, they're my shore
I wanna give them more
They're my home, my home
(Anna looks to the castle, then to Elsa as she sings, lightly patting Elsa's arm as she does. The two then turn back to as Anna continues to sing, holding out another hand as she indicates Arendelle as her ocean and her shore.)
Bless this happiness we've found (Elsa and Anna)
Bless this good and solid ground (Anna)
Our home, our home (The townsfolk)
Our home, our home, our home (Anna and the townsfolk)
Our home, our home (the townsfolk)
I'm home (Anna)
Then, just as they finished their song, the clocktower bell began to ring, making everyone look up in surprise before rushing around in a flurry.
Elsa looked to Anna and said "It's time! Let's get you ready!"
The two sisters giggle to one another and run inside the castle walls, with the gates closing behind them.
(We then cut inside the castle's cathedral, where everyone was waiting for the wedding to begin)
Kai and Olaf stood on one side of the alter while Kristoff and Sven stood on the other. The Light spirit, the Darkness spirit, and the First spirit were all there, floating around the alter. Then, trumpets began to play, signifying Anna's arrival, with Elsa standing next to her, their arms linked together. She wore a beautiful white ball gown styled dress with long sleeves and a lace veil attached to her hair and trailing behind her. She was holding the bouquet Elsa made earlier and wearing her crown in her hair, as well as the earring from the First spirit. Everyone stood when she entered, bowing to her as she walked down the aisle. As they almost reached the alter, they both stopped and looked at the first pew, where the King and Queen of Umanakia, as well as Prince Carsten sat. Anna and Elsa both bowed to them, who returned the gesture kindly.
Elsa then got Anna up to the alter and gave Anna's hand to Kristoff, saying "I'm counting on you to take care of her"
"Always" Kristoff nodded
With that, Anna and Kristoff stood in front of the alter with the Cardinal behind them. Elsa took her place as the Maid of Honor next to Anna. The Cardinal then raised his staff up.
"We shall begin. Dearly beloveds, we are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, and to cherish the words which shall unite Queen Anna and Kristoff Bjorgman in marriage"
(We then zoom out from the cathedral and are brought to the castle main doors, where the townsfolk wait in the courtyard.)
The castle doors swing open and out come Anna and Kristoff, holding hands as they exit, the townsfolk cheering as they come out. Kristoff was now wearing a gold crown over his head, which he adjusted quickly as he and Anna went down the steps. They were followed by Elsa, Olaf, Sven, and the rest of the people inside the cathedral. The legendary spirits slip out and float in the air above them. Anna and Kristoff stop on the front steps and kiss in front of the townsfolk, causing everyone to clap and cheer even more in celebration.
(We then cut to the main town square, where the reception party was taking place.)
In the reception party held in the town square, they had tables set up with food and drinks, as well as a table filled with gifts and another dedicated solely for the cake. There was an area dedicated to dancing, where many partners were either spinning or swinging back and forth with one another. In one area, Elsa was using her snow magic to make things for some of the children, while other kids were playing a large snow pile she made. In another area, the spirit of Darkness was using her magic to make shadow puppets for everyone, children and adults alike, to watch. The First spirit made magic bubbles that took on various shapes for people to enjoy. There was merriment everywhere.
In the dancing area, Kristoff and Anna were doing a traditional dance with a crowd circling around to watch them. When they were finished, the people clapped and then either dispersed to somewhere else or began dancing themselves. Anna and Kristoff kissed once again, and then Kristoff went off to do something. Anna gave a small smile and a happy sigh of relief. She then saw that Prince Carsten and his parents coming towards her.
"Congratulations on your marriage, your majesty. May you two have a long and happy life together." Prince Carsten spoke up
"Thank you. And thank you all for coming, I felt bad for taking you away from Umanakia so soon after everything that has happened."
"Nonsense. Our attendance is crucial if we are to continue to have friendly relations between our two kingdoms." The King shook his head at this
"We will have to leave shortly though, as it was quite the journey to get here and we can't delay for too long" The Queen replied
"Of course. But please, help yourself to the food before you go, it's really good. Especially the cake, it's chocolate" Anna said
"Oh we just love chocolate!" The Queen replied happily, to which the King nodded as well.
The King and Queen left to the go to the cake table, while the prince stayed behind to keep talking. Elsa eventually made her way over to them to chat, but both she and the prince paused when they heard Atohallan's call and looked toward the fjord.
Anna, seeing this, turns to Elsa and says with a knowing smile "The forest is calling for you, isn't it?"
"Yeah. But it can wait a little longer. Right now, I want to spend my time with you." Elsa smiled, looking back at Anna, giving her a sideways hug.
"I'm still shocked that you turned down the chance to become a Blessed One like your sister and I. I don't think I've ever known anyone to reject a spirit's blessing before." The prince smiled at Anna.
"Well, I'd say I'm happy to be the first." Anna replied
"And you're sure you're not going to change your mind?" The prince asked with a smirk
"I'm sure. But you never know…" Anna replied
She saw in the corner of her eye that a little girl was trying to make a flower crown from a pile of different colored flowers, but was failing and looking like she was going to cry. Anna put her right arm behind her back, lifted her sleeve, and it showed that she was wearing the arm bracelet given to her by the Light and Darkness spirits. With a flick of her finger, the flowers lifted themselves in the air and arranged themselves into a pretty flower crown that rested on the girls head. The girl gasped as this happened, but when it landed on her head, she giggled and ran off, yelling "Mommy! Mommy! Look!" Anna then pulled the her sleeve back down and looked at the prince with a smile
"…things might change"
Anna then looks towards the camera and winks. The view slowly zooms away from the main square, showing Kristoff returning to Anna's side while everyone else continues to have fun. We then see everything from above, and then as we fully see the kingdom from above, the Light spirit gracefully floats above the kingdom and creates a large rainbow in the sky. Then the scene cuts, and that ends the film.
OMG. I can't believe I did it. It's complete! Again, a big thank you to all of you who supported me this past year. It's been a long road, but I hope you all enjoyed it. Let me know if you all have any questions regarding the story and anything you might not have understood in terms of the plot. Have an amazing rest of the year and be sure to check out my other story for the Nightmare Before Christmas, which I'll be picking back up after a short break from this! See you guys!
