Kanto Part 27
On the Cinnabar Island, Ash and Alice get to meet Bill, as he says, "Long time no see! I hope you're still using my PC system. Well, listen, since we met up here, how about spending time with me? There's this little island in the far south called One Island. A friend invited me, so I'm on my way out there. How about it? Do you feel like coming with me?"
Ash says, "Sure, that's what we are here for. Professor Oak should have told you, right?"
"All right, then. Let's go!" Bill says as they notice the boat in front of them. "Looks like my pal's boat arrived, too. He sent it especially here to Cinnabar to pick me up."
As they go on the ferry, they get to the One Island which is the place in the Sevii Islands. "Here we are! This is One Island. There are several islands around here, and this is one of them. My friend Celio sent the boat to fetch me here. He's in charge of the island's PC network by his lonesome. ...Why am I telling you this now? Let's just go see Celio!"
As they enter a place which is called the Pokemon Network Center, Bill says, "Hey, there! Celio!"
The person known as Celio looks at Bill and he says, "Bill! I can't believe you came out here."
"Well, absolutely! How's your research coming along? ...Oh, wait a sec. Ash, Alice, this is my buddy, Celio. He's one dedicated PC Maniac! Celio, this is Ash, a rising contender as the Pokémon Champ! And Alice, his travel companion."
"That's really impressive. I hate to say it, but I have zero aptitudes for battling. Anyways, I'm glad to meet you." Celio says as he shakes hands with the two of them.
"So, bring me up to speed. How's your machine running?" Bill says.
"It's running fine, but we're too remote out here. The PCs on this island just can't link with your PC, Bill."
"Oh, yeah? Okay, let me take a look-see. ...Hang on here... I think we can make it work. Let me help you, okay? Ash, Alice, can I get you to wait for me just a bit? ...Actually, can I get you to do me a favor? The island next to this one's called Two Island. There's a guy there that runs a Game Corner. He has this thing for rare rocks and gems. We keep in touch, being fellow maniacs. So, can I get you to deliver this Meteorite to him?"
"Okay. We'll like to help." Ash says as they take the meteorite.
"Ash, Alice, if you are going to Two Island, please take this." Celio gives them each a Tri-Pass, he says, "It's a Pass for the ferry service serving the local islands. It will let you travel between Islands One, Two and Three. By the way, please lend me your cellphones."
As they do, Celio adds the Sevii Islands Map into their map data, and the two of them thank the person for making things easier for them.
"I'll catch you later! Say hi to the guy for me!" Bill says as the two of them leave.
Once they are outside of the center, Ash says, "Since we are here, how about we look around this place?"
"Sure." Alice says as they look at the map. "It is said that south of the wharf is a small islet known as the Treasure Beach, known for the valuable items that regularly wash up on the shore. The tides usually replace these items by the next day, allowing treasure hunters to easily stockpile these rare items."
"That sounds cool, and what about the place there?" Ash asks. "It is said that it is the Kindle Road, and it leads northward from the town to Mt. Ember."
"Mt. Ember...hey, that's where the Moltres is." Alice says. "Let's go there."
"I think we can wait for Moltres, since we are here, how about we try out the Ember Spa?" Ash says.
"It will be great to relax for a while." Alice says.
Ember Spa is a small hot spring where people and Pokémon can relax and restore their health. After the two of them relax for 30 minutes, they are now climbing Mt. Ember and they found a pair of Rocket Grunts are muttering about digging and treasure. After beating them, they are escaping and Alice says, "So what is the treasure inside?"
"I don't know..." Ash says. "Maybe they are talking about Moltres."
As reach the summit of the mountain, Articuno and Zapdos come out of the Pokeball and they start to growl, in the end, Moltres also appears and she says, "All of you are captured by the chosen one, huh?"
"Yeah, and excuse us that we are going to battle you to have you join us." Zapdos says as Moltres says, "You are not going to capture me that easily."
Moltres immediately use Fire Fang on Articuno, which is super effective, Alice says, "Articuno, are you sure you can do this?"
"Don't worry. I am good to go." Articuno says as it fires the Ice Beam, Zapdos also uses the Thunderbolt to attack, but Moltres uses Hurricane to block both attacks.
"Zapdos, Rain Dance!" Ash yells as Zapdos creates the rain, causing the Fire Power to get weakened, but Moltres decides to use Sunny Day and fires the Solar Beam. In the end, Zapdos manage to catch the attack and then Articuno uses the chance to use Hurricane to knock out the Moltres.
Alice is the one that throws the Pokeball, and eventually, after more balls wasted, she manages to capture the Moltres.
Kanto Dex Entry No.146 Moltres: The Flame Pokemon: Fire and Flying Type. Known as the legendary bird of fire. Every flap of its wings creates a dazzling flash of flames.
Alice sends out the Moltres and she says, "I admit, you guys are really strong indeed. To be able to command those two to win against me."
"So you say that all is Ash and Alice's work and not us?" Zapdos asks, and Moltres says, "I didn't mean it. I mean you really need trainers to discipline you, and it is a good thing."
"All right, not fighting." Ash says as they recall their Pokemon, after that, they decide to head back and go to Two Island by riding on the Seagallop Ferry.
After arriving at the Two Island, they finally get to the Game Corner as they enter the place. "So this is the place where Celio asks us to bring the Meteorite to..." Ash says.
"Yeah." Alice says as they enter the place, only to find a man walking around with anxiety.
"Now, where's Lostelle gotten to today? She always brings me lunch every day right about now..." The man says.
"Excuse me?" Ash asks, and the man notices them. "Hm? You, there! Are you a friend of Lostelle's? Have you seen Lostelle around? I don't know where she might be. She should have been here long ago."
"I don't think we know whoever you are talking about." Alice says. "But what happened?"
"Lostelle's a cutie - she got my looks - so what if someone...what if something's happened to my Lostelle?! Please, help me find her! Please go search Three Island!"
"Okay..." Ash says as they decide to help out the old man as they leave the Corner, but before they leave, a biker arrives and he says, "Hah? What is this Game Corner? How much sadder can this get? Those clowns...they said they'd be waiting on the island, so where are they? Hey you! Is this the only Three Island around here?
"Try waking up before you crawl out of bed, you punk!" The man yells back. "This is the Two Island. Move it! Get your filthy motorbike out of my place!"
"Huh...Oh, oh, gotcha. Tch..." The biker says. "These islands are confusing..." Then he rides the motorbike out of the place, and the man groans, "Will you look at that? That punk scuffed up my floor..."
Ash and Alice pay no attention to them as they go outside, and they notice the place known as Cape Brink. When they go there, they find a woman and she says, "I perfected the ultimate move of its type...but will no one take it for future use?"
As she notices Ash and Alice and she searches their pockets, sending out their Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. "Hey, what are you doing?" Alice asks, and the woman says, "Y-you...Th-those Pokemon...they are worthy of learning my ultimate move!"
"Ultimate move?" Ash asks in confusion, and much to their surprise, the woman has made Venusaur learn the move Frenzy Plant, Charizard learns the move Blast Burn, and Blastoise learns the move Hydro Cannon. They are in awe at the sight of the power of the moves, and they thank the woman and leave the island to the Three Island.
In the Three Island, they a gang of rowdy Bikers, the Kanto Rider Federation, harassing the residents. One person says, "Are you the boss? Go back to Kanto right now!"
"Hah? I just got here, pal! What's with the hostile attitude? It's might cold of you!" The biker says.
"Your gang followers have been raising havoc on their bikes. Do you have any idea how much trouble they've caused us on the island?" Another resident says.
"No, man, I don't get it at all." The biker says. "Look at this place. What do you do for entertainment? You ought to be thanking us for livening up this sleepy village. But hey, if you insist, you can try making us leave."
"Grr...you cowards...so tough in pack..." The third one says. Ash and Alice are not going to just sit there and watch the people here suffer from the bikers, so they decide to battle against the bikers themselves, once they are defeated, the boss of the gang says, "Humph! Yeaeh, go right on hanging around with these hayseeds!"
Then they all retreat as they are thanked by the residents here, Ash asks, "Have you seen a girl named Lostelle? That's why we are here."
"Her house is in the southwest, you can find it over there." The resident says as Ash and Alice thank him. But as they knock the door, they find that no one is in there and the door is not even locked. They enter the house and find it empty.
"So she is not inside her house as well..." Ash says.
"Maybe she is in the Berry Forest..." Alice says as she looks at the map, so they go across the Bond Bridge as they head to the Berry Forest. They notice the girl crying and they deduce that she is Lostelle.
"Whimper... Sniff... Oh! Please, help! A scary Pokémon appeared there a while ago. It kept scaring. It made Lostelle scared. I'm too scared to move! But I want to go home... Oh! Here it comes again! No! Go away! It's scaring me! Waaaaaaah! I want my daddy!"
Ash and Alice notice the Hypno and they quickly use Pikachu and Eevee to knock it out. After it runs away, Lostelle says, "Ohh! That was so scary! Thank you! Lostelle came here to pick some Berries. You can have this!"
She gives them both an Iapapa Berry, and she says, "What's your name? Lostelle's scared, so can I go with you to my daddy's house? Okay! Let's go home!"
"Sure, and we are Ash and Alice by the way." Ash says as they all head back to the Tow Island. Once they bring Lostelle back to her father, he says, "Lostelle, darling, forgive me! Daddy didn't know you were scared and in trouble!"
"It's okay, Daddy. I got to be friends with Ash and Alice." Lostelle says. Ash takes out the Meteorite and he says, "By the way, this is for you."
The man is surprised at the sight of the Meteorite and he asks, "How did you know that I love rare rocks and gems? You sure know how to make a guy happy."
"Well, it is from Bill..." Alice says, and he asks them to thank Bill from the man, and they agree.
"You know, you've been fantastic. I want you to have this." They got another Moon Stone and they thank the man.
Back in One Island, they meet Bill and he says, "Oh, hey, Ash and Alice! What kept you so long? Been out having a good time? We got it done. The PCs are up and running!"
"The job went incredibly quick. Bill is one amazing guy..." Celio adds.
"No, no! There was almost nothing left for me to do. Celio, I have to hand it to you. You've learned a lot." Bill says back to Celio.
"Oh, really? Ehehe..." Celio says with embarrassment.
"Well, there you have it. I'm finished with the job. I should head back to Kanto. Celio, I'll be seeing you again." Bill says as he bids them farewell.
Celio says, "Well, since you are here, how about you look around the islands, I am sure that as long as you have the Tri-Pass, you can go back to Vermillion City any time."
"We will like to do that." Ash says as both he and Alice are now going back to the Pokemon Center to rest.
