Patricia's POV
Pff hahaha!
Barbie's face expression is so priceless!
I smirked.
Barbie was glaring daggers at me.
I simply shrugged. "These are my terms. Take it or leave it. If you take it, have fun with your future husband. Or leave it, then good luck getting that jewel on your own."
I snickered.
"Patricia! Now's not a good time for your jokes!" Barbie scolded.
I chuckled.
"Oh come on, I am about to put my life in danger, break into someone's house and get the jewel you need to solve this crazy mystery. The least I can ask for is a live romantic show," I said jokingly as I pointed to both Barbie and Ken.
Barbie and Ken were both as red as fresh cherries.
"Fine! We agree with your terms," Ken finally spoke up but he was so nervous.
I nodded.
But then I looked up.
"Does this romantic show include kissing?" I snickered jokingly.
At this everyone in the room broke down laughing except for Barbie and Ken.
Barbie was so furious at me and Ken was so embarrassed to even look up.
The next thing I knew something hit me hard on my head and I fell of my chair.
I groaned in pain as I rubbed my head.
I looked up to see Barbie hit me with her gliss as she smirked.
"Hey! Not fair!" I protested.
"Come on, and this is just a friendly hang out," Ken said calmly.
I felt my anger rising.
JuSt A fRiEnD!
Screw them!
I desperately wanted to punch the wall or break something.
"Okay guys, that's enough for today," Cassandra said.
I rolled my eyes.
But she was right. We had to go to bed.
"Should we go back?" Renee asked.
Cassandra shook her head.
"No, you're all gonna stay here.
We can't risk letting Dunbar know that we're here," she replied sternly.
She was right...
If Dunbar could track us to the Willows Wisconsin, there was no telling what else he could do.
"Okay, good night everyone," Barbie said as she went to another room.
I sighed.
Barbie was so tired and so stressed out.
If only we could find a way to end this madness.
Barbie's POV
I was extremely exhausted.
I laid down on the bed.
I sighed. Ever since that mission back at England, my whole life was messed up.
I was so tired that soon I was drifted to sleep.
Time skip
Next day
"Barbie! Wake up. We have some jewel to steal!"
I got up as I saw Cassandra.
"I'm up. Is anyone back at your guardian's house?" I asked.
She shook her head.
"Even though Sligo is pretty smart...but sometimes I can't help but to think that he's an idiot," she snickered.
I laughed.
I got out of the room to see others out there.
"Okay, here's the plan.
Barbie, Patricia and Cassandra are gonna go there and steal that jewel.
Me and Renee will be backups if anything goes wrong," Teresa said.
We nodded.
"Guys, remember that woman who attacked Barbie, Elena Delaforse?
I know where her house is. I'm gonna go check it out!" Ken declared.
My eyes widened.
"Ken, are you crazy?" I yelled.
He put his hand on my shoulder.
"Barbie, listen. Nothing's gonna happen. And besides. The more we have information on her the better we can win this game. And besides, who's gonna suspect a postman?" Ken smirked.
I sighed.
He had a point.
"Okay...fine," I agreed.
Then the three of us got on the motorcycles Cassandra gave us because she believed taking her own car can raise suspicions.
As we were riding I glanced at Patricia.
She had a mischievous grin on her face!
"Wow! Just like the old times," she said happily
I chuckled.
"There!" Cassandra pointed to a huge mansion.
"Holy moly! Your guardian is rich. Why the hell does he want the Roberts legacy?" Patricia asked.
Cassandra shrugged.
Then she motioned us to follow her.
We both followed her as she opened the gate for us as we saw a huge garden.
I looked around in amazement.
"Whoa! This is stunning," I said.
Cassandra opened the door.
"Guys, come on! We only have a four hours," Cassandra said as she pointed to her watch.
We both nodded as we entered the house.
Then we followed Cassandra into a huge room.
Then she walked towards a wall in the corner where was a beautiful picture hanging on the wall.
Cassandra quickly removed it revealing a safe that was in the wall.
"The curtains please," Patricia pointed to the windows.
Me and Cassandra pulled the curtains.
"This is a piece of cake!" Patricia smirked.
I smiled.
"How long will it take to open the safe?" I asked.
"Two hours," she replied as she got down on trying to unlock the safe.
I huffed as I sat down on a sofa.
I was bored to death in the next two hours.
Do I decided to walk around the place for a bit.
Right then I heard a couple of cars parking inside the yard.
I quickly rushed back to where Patricia was.
"Are you done?" I asked.
Patricia nodded as she opened the safe and grabbed the green jewel.
"Guys, I'm gonna hide around. Sligo can't see me with you guys," Cassandra said, "I'll meet up with you."
We both nodded.
Cassandra ran towards the backyard as me and Patricia tried to run.
"You again?!" Sligo growled from behind.
Shit!
We both ran towards the balcony.
"We have to jump," Patricia said.
We both jumped and landed on a pick-up car.
We both quickly got on it.
I sat on the driver seat as Patricia sat on shotgun.
I drove out of the yard.
"Yes! We made it!" I exclaimed happily as I glanced at the jewel.
"Umm... Barbie, I hate to ruin the moment but take a look at your back," Patricia said.
I quickly glanced behind to see Sligo chasing us with another car.
"Crap! I think we have to speed," I said as I drove faster.
But Sligo wasn't letting us go.
"Ummm, Barbie we're having a problem," Patricia pointed to the front.
There were stop sign and there were workers around the road.
At the end side of road there was a cliff.
"Holy shit! Stop the vehicle!" Patricia exclaimed.
I tried but it wasn't working.
"The brakes aren't working!" I yelled.
Patricia tried to kick the door open.
Then our vehicle fell off the cliff right at the same time Patricia opened the door.
She grabbed my waist as we both jumped out of the car.
The pick-up fell underneath us and exploded as both of us were hanging there.
Right then I saw Sligo running towards the cliff.
Fortunately he didn't notice us.
And with that he left.
Me and Patricia climbed down.
Then we heard the sound of sirens.
"Welp, we'd better leave before cops try to investigate us. I don't think they believe the fact that we broke into someone's house to get a jewel that belongs to the Roberts," Patricia stated.
I nodded as we both ran as fast as we could.
As we got out of the area we saw a car stopping right beside us.
Then the door was opened.
"Hey guys!"
It was Renee.
"Come on! Get in," Renee said, "you two look as if you were chased by a ghost."
We both got in the car.
Teresa was in the driver seat.
"Okay, let's head back," Teresa said as she drove us back to our hiding place.
At the house I saw Ken and David discussing about something and Cassandra was there with them.
"How did you escape?" I asked.
She shrugged. "I have tricks up to my sleeves."
Then I glanced at Ken.
"What did you find today?" I asked.
Ken smirked.
"I knew it was worth it," he said as he handed me his phone.
I looked at the picture. It was taken from the window behind her.
It was indeed that woman.
She had a piece of old paper in her hand.
I zoomed to see what it was.
I gasped.
"What is it?" Teresa asked.
I looked up.
"Elena Delaforse has the second piece of the puzzle. She has the riddles," I declared.
Patricia scowled.
"What am I stealing this time?" she asked sarcastically.
A/N: Another chapter...done!
So Barbie and her friends still have to go out and steal the other piece of the puzzle.
But this is not the end of this crazy journey.
