Chapter Text

Natasha stared at the ceiling, unable to sleep. Anthony was up training. She felt Ruby and Felicia curl up against her sides. Sheila had her own bed, she liked to lay with them when she could but Anthony wanted her to feel independent and didn't want her to be around for anything sexual anyway. Natasha felt...strange in this new world. Her face and body were younger, she was working on her dream of being a mother and she was free from her past here.

Oh she still wanted to atone for the people she had hurt, but none of those people were from here. She'd never noticed the creeping dread of just having the families of those she hurt out there. Of the possibility of running into the daughter or son of one of her kills. Here it wasn't an issue at all, and that was freeing.

Not just freeing though, Natasha felt...unmoored. Lost. She wasn't the Black Widow anymore. Wasn't a weapon or a killer. She was just Nat, a pretty girl who lived with her boyfriend and was trying for a baby. It was confusing, nice, but confusing. She felt the girls stir and pulled them close, smiling down at them. She didn't consider them her daughters. More like younger sisters, but she had grown close to them over the last month. The two of them and Sheila had spent many a day together, training in this new form of combat and just enjoying each others company. It was inevitable bonds would form.

She grinned wickedly remembering Rubys squeals of glee when Natasha and Anthony had sex with her, and she was tempted to cop a feel of that toned little ass as Ruby slept. Which was another change. Natasha had had a healthy libido before but it was just a physical thing she did without much enjoyment. Like eating, though god had that changed. Now both food and sex were genuinely fun for her again. Sex being a tool she used in her work, wether the promise of it or the fact had stripped the joy from the act, but it had come back since she started her new life.

Trying for the baby was part of it sure, and part of it was Anthonys insane sexual skills and cooking genius. But in other ways it was just her rediscovering another part of herself she had assumed was long dead. She pulled the girls close and held them tight, earning a purr from Felicia and a groan of annoyance from Ruby. She may not have the same goals she had, but protecting this new family of hers was still a goal, and she was enjoying every minute of her new life. Satisfied with her piece Natasha closed her eyes and settled in to sleep, still holding her new little sisters in her arms.
