AN: Hoping this is better than the last chapter, aiming to cover most if not all of the time until Tsunade's decision.

Chapter 25: Controlled Reality

After my talk with Tsunade, I quickly left, her hit may have healed but it was still painful... I'm just glad it was mostly the equivalent of a 'poke' from her or I'd have had the painful and likely fatal experience of seeing how well my regeneration covers my bones being reduced to dust.

'Now to wait for a couple of days to see how badly this goes...' Tsunade will be questioning Jiraiya soon and I doubt it's going to go well for me.

Luckily, I'd have at least the rest of today without any problems, and since I've gotten two of the legendary failures pissed... Why not make a deal with the third?

'Yeh, great idea... Piss off all S-ranks I meet and let them fight for the joy of killing me?' I'll pass for now... Too risky.

Upon reaching the edge of the town I quickly locate an empty clearing.

"Kamui" What should have pulled me into another dimension instead caused a small 'tear' in the air revealing a Black Void within it as my eye slowly begins to burn... Sadly while this is an improvement to my eye no longer immediately combusting in my ace, which wasn't at all fun or expected, it's still too little for my goals and therefore I may be left with only one way to truly achieve what I want.

"Disappointing, but I guess there's an actual reason for an entire Sharingan being transplanted..." Should I just accept I'll need Obito's eye for what I want? Or explore the potential applications of this? Either way, I need it to stop ruining my eye every time it's used...

Staring at the Tear once more I may as well see how far I can push with this.

"Kamui" This time I continue using more and more chakra as the Tear itself is torn open even further than before, however just as I see a strange 'land' becoming visible within it, a bunch of clawed 'hands' made from the black void begin to reach through the Tear along it's edges as they begin to spread out, but before they make it more than a few inches from the Tear it snaps shut... A golden glowing 'thread' seemingly stitching it closed once more? The hands immediately disperse as if mere mist, but it's certainly nothing I'd seen before.

'Interesting...' Is this from my repeated attempts slowly breaking through whatever limits my ability to 'reach' through this Void? Or perhaps one of the deceased Otsutsuki members here protecting their 'home'?

My eye feels like it's on the verge of combusting and I doubt I'd be able to quickly heal from that, so I'll have to be content with what I've learned and discovered for now.

I can now further open these Tears temporarily before they close and yet just as I seem to view another dimension or 'land' within the usual Nothing... They close.
What am I missing? The Otsutsuki Clan, Obito and Sasuke all had no trouble once Kaguya is gone... Is it Her? The Sage? He did claim he's watch his 'sons' but Kaguya also has her 'Will' walking around which could allow her some influence or presence to hide the world until she's out.

'To many possible reasonings and no way of finding out until much later.' Guess I may need to deal with Kurama soon and get that target off my back and truly focus on opening these Tears...

'No corpse will keep me trapped here, even if I've got to be more extreme...' I wonder how they'd react if I keep pushing?

'What if I push someone in?' That would be... Huh? One of my clones just killed the other... I'm sure it'll make sense later.

...Nightfall, outside Hotel...

Apparently, my clone decided it hated the other one for being annoying? I knew it'd make sense later. Still, I'd have appreciated them not killing each other when it means I'll have to deal with their work now.

"Naruto!" Ignore that, it's just the wind.

'Oh yeh, I forget to release Karin...' Not important, I'll do that when I get the time and aren't being watched or in Konoha.

"You've got some explaining to do." Jiraiya was directly in front of me, instead of waiting near the Hotel as he had been previously... I didn't see him move.

I've got a feeling this is going to be a pain...

"Don't tell me... Tsunade?" Judging by his glare getting 'slightly' worse, I'd say I'm right.

"Any particular reason why you thought angering the next Hokage was at all a smart thing to do?"

"Next Hokage? She doesn't seem interested, and all I did was give a few facts and make some correct assumptions... Unless you're saying I was wrong? I'm of course going with the logic she came to you afterward?"

"Stay away from her Naruto... For your own sake if nothing else." Right because I feel the need to piss her off twice?

'Actually...'

...The Next Day...

I wake early into the morning and despite that Jiraiya is already awake and waiting at the hotel's door for me... Guess I can't just mess about until Orochimaru arrives?

"Morning Naruto." Despite saying this in his typically 'happy' tone, he makes no effort to change his stance from being prepared if I do run...

"Jiraiya. Any reason you're already up and waiting for me?"

"I wanted to make sure you weren't going to do anything stupid again, so why are you leaving so early?"

"I wanted to take a trip to a Temple within a day's journey if I'm fast enough, should be back tomorrow... Figured it'd be best to give you space and get some information from them."

"Not happening." Damn it, this is why I wanted to go early and leave a vague note or clone...

"I'm not going to try running, that'd just make me an easy target for Akatsuki, Danzo and any others interested in Jinchuriki. They have teachings based around control and meditating, something rather useful and will keep me occupied without having to entertain myself..." I had hoped this would at least get him to consider it, even if he had a toad come along, but sadly it seems he wasn't interested in taking any chances any more.

"Still not happening Naruto, I can arrange for a request on your behalf once we're back in Konoha."

"Forget it, I'll request a personal trip there instead." Well, I would...

"Which side is Tsunade on?" Jiraiya immediately tries to speak up, most likely to 'remind me' about yesterday. "It's so I know where to avoid, I'm not forgetting yesterday. Now, which way is she?" He simply stares at me before gesturing to my left and so I thank him and go right.

As I reach a bar on the edge of town and 'henge' into my original body so I can actually order something to drink, I send a little chakra into the ground... It should fuel my little creatures enough to get what I want, though how long they take getting back is the issue as they're much better without any 'baggage'.

'Now to wait for my 'guest' to arrive...' Better be quick.

I grab my first bottle as I ignore a growing pain yet again, just a consequence of yesterday... Shouldn't happen much longer.

AN: So, hope this is better than just the short talk between my SI and Tsunade.

A little glimpse of an experiment by the SI, I had a discussion about the MS with a few people and figured I'd show an issue with trying to only use a 'sample' from Obito's as getting an EMS or even another MS through just a small sample of one instead of the full eye? Nope, there's a reason centuries of Uchiha hadn't learned to simply do a minor medical procedure to give them all EMS. :) (OPness can wait a few years/timeskips)

Got Jiraiya to begin a confrontation due to my SI pissing off Tsunade and making her suspicious... SI should have kept out of her way, oh well his problem. Nothing much, just a warning to not go near her again... Like he'd survive a repeat.

SI's attempt to visit a certain temple wasn't allowed, despite his belief that Jiraiya wouldn't mind him not being around to mess things up, as he's obviously not letting him out of the town alone.

And finally, SI tries getting what he wants another way and enjoys some of his remaining time before he's dealing with all the consequences that he's been avoiding... About time. :D
