"I like her." Kagome blurts as soon as my barrier goes up following the miko's departure.
"Indeed?" I inquire, reaching to run the back of my knuckles down her arm.
"Yeah, her aura was bright and kind. I don't think I'll have any issues with her. She reminds me a bit of Kaede." Her smile falls a bit as she remembers the old miko.
I lean over to press my lips to her temple. "I am pleased that you are pleased." I can feel Sumi's aura approach now, and relay such to Kagome. At her nod, I drop the barrier, and call out for Sumi to enter.
A pale youkai with light brown hair and moss green eyes pads over to seat herself on a cushion in front of my desk.
"Sumi? She's the head of household?" Kagome turns to me, face a blend of confusion, shock and laughter.
"Hn. You have met then." I state more than ask.
"Well, yeah. She's the one who found me the first day I was here when I was lost. I didn't know you ran the whole shiro, Sumi!" Kagome grins, laughing, as Sumi smiles genially.
"I did not think it important to inform you, my Lady."
"Well, I guess this makes the whole "find a balance with each other" thing a lot easier." Kagome giggles.
"Indeed," I agree with a nod, "Sumi, I wished for you two to become acquainted so that Kagome could become more at ease with running a household in the event of our mating."
"Oh, of course my Lord, Lady. I would be happy to instruct Kagome in matters of the house." The rabbit youkai beams at Kagome, clearly already friends with the little miko.
"I can't wait! Oh man, at this rate, I'm not gunna have any free time." Kagome's laughter and aura roll over me, bathing me in her joy.
"Indeed. That will be all for now, Sumi. Thank you." Sumi bows as she stands and leaves, giving a bright smile to the miko sitting next to me.
"Apparently, I am required to ask you if you are already acquainted with my staff before scheduling introductions." I tease her, as I lean over to press a kiss to her lips.
"Mmm, maybe. I have been here for over a year now. I've met a lot of the servants and guards by now." She smirks against my lips.
"Indeed, little bird. Come, let us find the pups and await the arrival of your friends." Giving her one last kiss, I stand and help her up before we amble off to the pack wing together.
