A/N #1: Ladies and Gentlemen we are official halfway through this Spider-Verse Adventure. The fact it took me three years to get over with this project, was I'm not gonna lie, was stressful and long. Thank you for those who have followed this story that has previously been rewritten (The first ten chapters at least) and up to now, where we are only fifteen chapter left. Won't say much for this Chapter, but 27 and 28 is next week. Stay Tune!

Chapter 26 – It Wasn't Me

(Earth-1610)

Basement, Chavez Farm (8:00pm)

Tobey stares at a dark ceiling. A black widow crawls across it's web, tying every string of web. He turns and finds Cindy asleep on the floor. He smiles and moans.

A door opens. Light dims the staircase. A shadow prowls the staircase, it appears to be a man. A tall lanky man scans the whole room. He finds Cindy and walks towards her.

"Andy." Tobey said. "Let her sleep a while."

Andy stares at him and tilts his head.

"You know. Being Spider-Man was a privilege." Tears well in his eyes. "And it cost me, didn't it? I remembered. Two days before the big day. May had cancer on her eye. I was visiting May her and. I fell. I couldn't feel my heart. It was pain. Holding down. It was Spider-Man. Killing me, like, a poison. I knew, I didn't have long. So, I quit. I didn't want to waste an opportunity, Andy."

Tobey turns to Andy and smiles. "But, I think I finally understand."

Andy touches his shoulder. It was black. Tobey furrows. A fist pressures his chest.

"Andy?"

SNKT! Tobey gasps, his eyes widened. A burn spikes his chest. A large blade impales his chest. the blade slithers out. Tobey winces and squeals in pain.

The figure was a mountain of muscle. It shades similarities to Spider-Man. But had red lenses and an orange suit. Tobey saw his tag.

Kaine.

Kaine growls and raises hid blade. Cindy jumps in screaming with her katana's impaling Kaine. It screeches like an alien. The two wrestle and fought. Walls being dent and woods splitting, till Kaine throws Cindy into the TV. Tobey coughed blood. He thought of the three last people he loved: MJ, May, and Andy.

Basement, Chavez Farm (Now)

Peter B gasps. His Spider-Senses went bonkers. The rest of the group woke from the same thing. Peter saw horror. He saw a Spider-Man holding Cindy by the throat, using her fist and spiting acid that didn't work at all. But Peter turns to Tobey's bed, blood spilling his chest and mouth.

"TOBEY?!" Tom screams.

The figure walks towards them. Tom wrestles towards the creature. Peter hold him back.

"Get away from it!" said Peter.

"Lemme go!" Tom said, fighting off Peter's grasps.

"What's going on down there?" Maria enters the basement and saw Kaine. He lunges for her as she screams in horror.

"Suit up! All of you!" Peter said.

Front door, Chavez Farm (8:20pm)

Andy enters the van to grab a tissue and coughs hard. He groans at the stains of clot. He glances at Xavier walking inside. Andy looks back at the truck and picks up a pill. Shit. He hears Xavier's screams.

Andy furrows. "X?"

Andy runs to the front of the house it explodes! Andy rolls on the floor, along with Xavier, Peter, Noir, Peni in her SP/DR, Tom, and Cindy on handcuffs.

Andy crawls to Xavier weak body.

"Mi familia! Mi familia!" He cries.

Andy hears a thump, he slowly turns. A large black figure appears, shading similarities to him, but wore an orange suit and his lenses were red, with sharp razor teeth. It begins to grow double it's size. It stomps towards Andy.

"Andy! Get away from it!" Peter said.

Andy froze. The creature walks past him. Andy squints his eyes. The creature gives him one last stare before facing Xavier. Andy begins to back away.

Xavier grits. He stands fast. He pulls his 44. Magnum and shoots it, four times.

Kaine growls, makes a fist, materializing a blade, and searing his chest. Xavier screams. The gang cries. Kaine throws his body aside.

Andy looks at the gang, Tobey was nowhere. He finds Tom catching his gaze.

"Get it!" Peter pulls his mask and charges, along with the group.

Tom gives Andy one last look, before following suit with the group. Andy heart pounds to the sound of a dark key on a piano. No. No. NO! His self-conscious screams.

Andy sprints inside the house that is destroyed. He finds Maria's body clamped with her own blood. He race down the halls and before he enters the basement, he finds Jose's impaled body and his iPad stained in his blood.

"Tobey!" Andy sprints downstairs and finds a distress in the basement. He finds Tobey, impaled, wheezing. His heart drops. He stumbles to him, and crawls to him.

"Hey!" Andy whimpers.

Andy gapes at the wound and covers it with a blanket. "Hold this okay?"

"Andy."

"It wasn't me. I swear." Andy carries Tobey's body upstairs as fast as he could. He gazes at the struggle of the Spider-Gang holding off Kaine He looks to Tobey. That wound just wouldn't leave his mind.

Andy runs to the back of the house. he kicks it down. He runs to the SUV and opens the backdoor and lays him there.

"Hold this down, tight!" Andy looks in the van scrambles through med kits and finds a paper bag. He takes out a syringe and fills the hole stick. Tobey swipes his wrist.

"Don't." Tobey blurts.

Andy squints. "Huh?"

Tobey looks into his eyes and gives him a smile and wheezes, "Don't. Waste it."

Tobey gasps, and lets out a soothing hale, his eyes stilled, his arm dropped. Andy shakes his head vigorously. He puts his finger in Tobey's neck. No pulse.

"Tobs? Tobs? C'mon man!" He whimpers, holding his limping head. You promise to bring them home, look, what have you done?

Andy's eyebrows made a V shape. His eyes turn hot red, his body shakes non-stop and looks to the opponent ahead.

Chavez Farm (Now)

Miles and Gwen sprints through the corn plants. They reach the farm. They hear the grunts and cuffs being thrown. They find the SUV and sprints to it. Miles finds the Gang battling Kaine. Miles gapes at the creature and pants. He looks inside the van and (Not realizing the blood in the SUV) finds his suit and Gwen suit.

Few minutes later, they swap into their suits. They hopped on the van's hood. Miles finds Cindy squirming with handcuffs.

"What do we do?" Gwen said.

Miles gazes at a couple of jeeps, and a figure standing in the mist like the priest in The Exorcist.

"Help Peter." Said Miles. "I'll get Cindy."

She nods. Miles swings across the plains. He rolls to Cindy's side. She roars, resisting the cuffs.

"Don't worry just stay still!" Miles pulls the two chains. His Spider-Senses explode.

A claw clasps his face. He gets thrown him into the desolated home. Miles shakes the debris. He finds Liv towering Cindy. He web strikes her with a loud roar. He grits at Liv. She smiles.

The two kicked and smeared each other with their own blood. Miles catches and rips one of her claws in half. Liv falls. Miles tangles the three claws with his webs and pins her.

"You think you can take me in?" Liv giggles.

"If I have to eat my heart out, Yes!"

Miles's spider-senses explode, he gapes at Gwen being thrown across acres of land. She crushes into a tree. Kaine leaps for her. He pins her and his fist forms a blade.

Miles gasps.

Kaine punctures the blade into her flesh. She winces and was screaming in agony.

Liv laughs.

Miles pants. Screams were in his head, His fathers, His Moms, His Uncle, and now Gwen's the last thing he doesn't want to hear, hear her in pain. He glances at Liv and Gwen. He finds the Spider-Gang limping on the ground. Miles looks to the creature. He glares.

He releases Liv and leaps for it. He crushes his boned blade. He pummels the monster and web strikes it. He goes for a hammer slam. Miles was caught in mid-air. He gapes. He was gets ground and pound into the ground. His suit was ripped and tore. He had gashes all over his body. He was thrown at a tree and ripples through. His head begins to feel dizzy.

He blinks and glances up at Gwen, who was able to pull the boned blade out of her gut, but was gushing blood, as she held it tight. But then a truck rams into Kaine, goring him into tractor blades. A figure appears and shoots the being five times with a 44. Magnum. He waddles over to Cindy, who was whining, and picks her up.

No.

He crawls towards the mysterious figure. It shoves Cindy inside the Truck and a body wrapped in a blanket. He starts the truck and speeds into the cornfield. Nothing that Miles could have done, his body was in pain. He sighs. He collapses into darkness.

So. Much. Pain.
