Yasu felt strange. His limbs were so… Heavy, and his head was pounding. He couldn't recall where he was, or what had happened. All he knew was that he felt like absolute crap.
His eyes fluttered beneath his eyelids as a voice coaxed him from the foggy haze that straddled the line between unconsciousness and reality. Yasu opened his eyes. His vision was blurred, as his glasses were gone, and bright light shined in his face. He shifted, only to discover that he was completely immobilized.
"... A comparison…"
The voice wasn't clear to Yasu. His jaw slacked as he craned his neck, searching for whoever had been speaking.
With an unfocused gaze, Yasu mumbled out, "Who are you…?"
A shadow cast itself over Yasu suddenly, shielding him from the blinding light. A face came into focus as he squinted.
"Naru…?"
Yasu's vision began fading away when Noll smirked at him. His lips moved, yet Yasu couldn't properly hear him. Then, as darkness overtook his sight, he heard one phrase very clearly.
"... A fine control…"
Control? What was that to have meant?
Yasu didn't have a chance to linger on the thought as his conscious mind drowned in the depths of eternal sleep.
