Chapter 27

Mirror of Erised

I went to Gryffindor's common room with Harry, feeling a little bit curious what he want to show me. I might had an idea but not sure if it's right.

"Come on, Ethan. I do not want anyone else to see you. Other Gryffindor may be angry." Harry said, walking a little bit faster.

"Relax. It's not like I want to steal anything." I smirked at him. He sighed at my laid back attitude. I sat on his bed, watching he took out the cloak.

"What is that?" I asked even though I already knew the answer.

"It's invisible cloak!" He said excitedly.

"I got it for my christmas. It said that it's belong to my father." He explained.

"Wow!" I act surprised.

"Can I try to wear it?" He gave it to me. I put it on and saw that my body from neck to toe were invisible.

"Who else know about it?" I curiously looked at him. He said I was the first person knew about it. It seems that Harry didn't tell Weasley. I mused.

"Why don't you tell Longbottom later? He's trustworthy." I adviced him.

"I will tell him later. By the way, there's something I want to show you later. Can you meet me at the third floor at 11 p.m?"

"Of course. Why not?" I said, knowing that he already found the Mirror of Erised. We walked towards Great Hall for dinner. I chose to eat chicken grill, mushroom soup, garlic bread and a chocolate cake for desserts while Harry ate mashed potatoes, fried spicy chicken wings, vegetables soup and candies.

"So have you done you homework?" I said, sipping my pumpkin juice.

"Only Transfiguration." He said, quite embarrassed.

"Seriously? Just Transfiguration? Why didn't you start another subject sooner? You will have more free time. You do know that, right?" I lectures him.

"Ok. Ok. I will do it later." He said, stabbing the mashed potatoes with fork. I sighed watching him sulking.

"Very well." I ended our discussion about homework.

At 11:00 p.m.

I walked out from Snape's quarters quietly and quickly went to third floor. When I arrived at the third floor, Harry already there.

"What did you want to show me?" I asked Harry. He told me to follow him and keep quiet. After a while, we arrived at the room that hold Mirror of Erised.

"See. It's my parent!" Harry dragged me to stand in front of the mirror.

"Harry, I do not see your parents." I said softly. He looked at me with confused expression. I explained to him that it was not possible for me to see his parents but he seems did not want to believe it. He moved aside so only I that standing in front of it. When I looked at the mirror, I saw Professor Snape smiling proudly at me. I saw that my sharingan were active. It seems my desired was to tell Snape about my power and hoping that he's not angry with me. I told Harry that I still did not saw his parents.

"Why?" I sighed hearing that question.

"Harry, do you know what mirror is this?" I saw him shook his head.

"This is mirror of erised. Its means to show only your desired from you bottom heart. You never knew your parents so thats why you see it." I told him. He nodded. I can see that his eyes full of pain and sadness. I squeeze his shoulder. He smiled.

"Let's go. It quite dangerous to keep looking at this thing." Harry and I left the room without looking back. But I can see that Harry quite hesitated to leave this room. I hope he will follow my advice.

"Don't you think thats a little bit cruel?" Harry asked softly.

"What? About the mirror? I am not sure which idiot think it is brilliant idea to create the mirror. I can say that person is a cruel person. He make people forget about their present." We walked in silence until we chose our path to common room.

"Bye, Harry!"

"Bye, Ethan!"

I walked slowly and looked back towards Harry to make sure he went to Gryffindor common room. Who knows when he will go back to that room. What a drag! I yawned and entered Snape's Quarters silently.

"Eep!" I will forever denied if someone said they heard I just squeaked. Professor Snape sitting on the couch in the dark.

"Uncle sev!" I said, nervous radiated from my body. He stared at me and vise versa before I looked away.

"Sit" Thats all he said. I took a sit in front of him. I heard him sighed.

"Look at me. Do you mind to tell me where did you go?"

"Erm..I just.." I stuttered, trying to find an excuse so that I will not say about anything about Harry.

"Ethan, I am clearly disappointed at you. I told you many times that I do not want you to put yourself in danger or break the rules. I also do not want you lie to me." He said with an emotion that I cannot describe.

I felt like someone just stab me in my heart. Tears gathering in my eyes. I wipe it away. I hate making he disappointed.

"Sorry."

"I will give you another chance to explain to me right now." He looked at me, searching for something. Maybe he hope that I will tell him? I thought. Undecided whether to tell him or not. After a while, he sighed seeing that I still keep quiet.
