Chapter 27

After a lot of thinking, Hiccup began to regret what he'd done. Now he was sitting in a small cafe downtown staring blankly at the coffee in front of him. He didn't understand it, he went in knowing full well that he was gonna hurt Elsa by telling her about Jack and he'd accepted the consequences. Though He never expected to be feeling as shitty as he was. Even His parents were growing concerned with how disclosed he was becoming, just eating was becoming a hassle for him.

Though it didn't help that his constant tossing and turning kept him awake all night. this combined with his sudden lack of energy was causing him to fall into a depression. He was so deep in thought about the million ways he could tell Elsa that he was sorry that he didn't notice someone had joined him until they cleared their throats momentarily snapping him from the many thoughts going thru his mind. "Oh. Hey Astrid..."

"Wow, no offense Hic but you look like shit." She commented, Hiccup just shrugged not taking his eyes off the coffee cup in his hands "Yeah well I feel like it and I don't understand why..."

"It's because you feel guilty" she pointed out, Hiccup shot her a confused look "You think so?" Astrid nodded before picking up her menu "I know so, Elsa was your best freind and the fact that you hurt her by sticking your nose in where it doesn't belong is just eating you up inside. Sure you might have felt good about it at first, but the reason your feeling like this now is your conscience telling you to go make things right."

"I can't. she wont talk to me. I tried going to her house before but just got the door slammed in my face." as a comfort Astrid reached over and gave Hiccup's hand a gentle squeeze "Try again. If you don't you can expect many more sleepless nights and trust me you need all the sleep you can get."

After a minute of thinking it over Hiccup gave in "Alright, I'm gonna do it." He was feeling a little better now, though the feeling didn't last long when a sudden body walking by the window caught his attention. He looked over and caught Rapunzel and Han's walking by. "What are they up to?" He couldn't help but wonder before throwing a couple of dollars on the table and walking out with Astrid following close behind "Wait, where are you going?" He didn't answer until Astrid jumped in front of him and stopped him by putting her hands up to his chest. He paused for a moment "Their up to something" he finally said "And I'm going to figure out what." Brushing past her he quickened his pace. Rounding the corner he caught them heading into the alleyway of a local supermarket. Slightly curious he followed close behind not knowing what he was getting himself into.

"No this isn't right" Tossing her pretty pink, short sleeved shirt to the side Tabitha began rummaging thru her closet trying to find the right outfit for her freind Lily's birthday party. She was down to her last couple sets of clothes when she saw Jack storm by the room. Slightly curious she threw the shirt in her hands onto the floor and ran out into the hallway just in time to see Jack slam his room door behind him.

Skipping over to his door she tapped on it once waiting for a reply but got nothing. She then got this genius idea to put her ear to the door. Her brothers voice was muffled but she could still hear him "Hey Remmy." He must have been feeding his pet rat, she could tell Jack was now sitting on the bed by the sounds of the springs squeaking under his weight. "I don't know what I'm gonna do." She heard him say, "I love her so much and just the thought of losing her forever is to much for me to handle" She could hear him turning over on the bed "I gotta think of something to win her back, but what?" Tabitha was now stepping away from the door, pondering over Jacks question for a moment before the biggest, goofiest grin spread across her little face "You may not have a plan yet. But I sure as hell do." She giggled softly before running back into her room, she started digging around inside her dresser drawer for a piece of parchment paper that wasn't full of doodles. "Ah Ha! Perfect." She smiled in delight and jumped onto the bed. With a pen and paper in hand she began writing something onto it. "You guys are gonna get back together. You just need a little push." she started humming to herself and began copying what she'd written onto a second sheet of paper. All the while smiling to herself and clapping in delight.

Lacking the energy to do anything fun for that friday night Elsa flipped open her laptop and began scrolling thru her new batch of hate mail which had been spiraling out of control since the moment she'd broken it off with Jack. Some girls were calling her "stuck up" and a "giant hoebag" for breaking it off with who they called the 'hottest guy in school" Elsa erased them all before Anna came in and asked to use it to chat online with Kristoff. Which she usually did every day around 10.

Today was different, when Anna came into Elsa's room she was all dressed up. Her face fell when she noticed Elsa was in her sleeping clothes. "Don't tell me you forgot" She said though Elsa just stared at her confusion "Forgot what?" Anna hit her head and sighed in agitation "You did forget. Oh Odin help us!"

"Anna what the hell are you talking about?" She turned her attention back to the laptop which Anna flipped shut, her hands shooting to her hips the way their mother did it. "I told you we were gonna double date. Kristoffs got this friend of his who he doesn't want spending Friday night alone so he invited him to hang with us then I said why not make it a double date." Elsa quirked an eyebrow "That's your fault for opening your big mouth to something I never agreed to"

"I don't believe you!" Anna began, The doorbell to the front door suddenly rang "Their here. I can stall them for a few minutes just please get dressed and come with us. now you know I've never asked you for anything in my entire..." Elsa glared in her direction, daring her to finish the sentence. "Ok fine maybe I have, but I really wanna go out with Kriss its gonna be super awkward if there's only 3 of us. PLEASE Elsa, I'll do your chores for a whole week if you go." Elsa thought it over before smiling "Ok how bout this, you have to do my chores AND drive me wherever I need to go for a whole month." Anna's mouth flew open "A whole month..."

"Or if you don't want to, I'll just stay here and you can spend the entire night with a third wheel." She gazed at her watch and tapped it "Tick, tock Anna. You don't wanna keep the guys waiting."

"Alright, fine" She said giving in "You better be downstairs in exactly 5 minutes."

"Can do." Elsa managed to get herself into her wheelchair before going over to the closet and looking for something suitable to wear. This may have been a double date but it didn't mean that Elsa was looking to impress the guy she just wanted to get Anna off her back." She finally settled for a plain T-Shirt and pants. Her good mood vanishing when she headed into the living room to find Kristoff and Aladdin of all people. Elsa started backing out of the room but Anna grabbed the handle before she could "A deals a deal" She said in her ear "You can't back out now. You just cant!" Inside Elsa was both angry and fearful. Angry because of having to spend the entire night with Aladdin as her 'date' the boy who flirted with every girl within a ten block radius. "Odin get me out of this," Elsa thought to herself "This is gonna turn out to be one of the worst nights ever..."
