August 3rd Davenport House (Leo's POV)-

"Look, Chase, I understand you are upset but we can just break into someone's house because you and Leo think that's where Maddie is being held." At this point Chase was barely holding himself together. I've never seen him like this. He was a mess.

Besides looking disheveled he was constantly muttering to himself and couldn't stop moving. Even when he finally sat down his leg wouldn't rest. His eyes were puffy as if he was constantly about to break down in tears and I wouldn't doubt it. He had a whiteboard out and was meticulously studying all the information we had on Marcus and Maddie. They had known Maddie for three years; she was basically a part of the family and Chase's other half.

"But it is not some random person's house. It's Marcus's. Leo has been warning us about him for months and none of us believed him. Not until it was too late." He collapsed onto the couch as his voice broke.

"I'm sorry I can't let you go." Big D left the room, trying to piece things together too.

"Dude, I'm sure Bree will be back so-" Before I could even finish my sentence the door blew open and Bree landed next to me.

"I found Alex at their house but no Maddie and he hasn't seen her since before school." Bree explained.

"Is Alex okay?" Chase asked, trying to swallow the information.

"He's fine, just worried. I moved him to one of Mr. Davenport's safe houses just in case." She sighed. "What are we gonna do?"

"Mr. Davenport doesn't want us going after Marcus, but he should be out of the Lab after school tomorrow for his weekly waxing so we can sneak out then." Chase planned finally starting to show a glimpse of stability.

"But he'll know if we take our mission suits." Bree explained.

"Actually Maddie and I have been working on some new ones that look less sneakers and a skin tight onesie and more like tactical gear and super suits. They should be in her lab." I explained and Bree squealed.

The two of us gave her a look. "What? I know we're in a bad situation but those suits were the worst."

"Okay. We can go to get those after school and go from there." Chase decided.

August 4th Volt Lair (Leo's POV)-

"Why are we going past the entrance?" Adam asked as the three of us followed Chase.

"Maddie stopped using her lab a little while back so we packed everything up and the only operable entrance is her old one." Chase was determined and kept plowing forwards.

We got to a tree when he reached inside and moved his hand around. Before I could ask what he was doing a rock had shifted revealing a hidden entrance.

"Man, that girl is more excessive than batman." I exclaimed, raising my brow at the secret door.

"I don't get it." Adam not so subtly whispered to Bree.

"Good, you wouldn't want to." She started for the door and the three of us followed. We made our way down to the lab and Chase explained how Maddie had switched to stronghold. It took a bit to navigate through the boxes left behind but we eventually found the mission suits.

"The new suits are way more protective. They were designed to withstand just about everything. Enemy fire, scorching heat, mustard stains. That one's for you, Adam." I explained as we pulled them from the boxes.

"Nice. What's it do for Italian Vinaigrette? That's my real enemy." He winced I almost laughed but it hurt to remember when Maddie had made sure Adam's suit was stain proof. We had to get her back.

"Come on guys. Let's go suit up." The three ran into three separate rooms before each eventually rushed back in. Bree coming in first.

"Finally, something that doesn't make me look like a part of a French circus." Bree mused and I chuckled slightly.

"These are awesome and look, they come in men's, woman's, and junior misses." Adam added gesturing to himself, then Bree, followed by Chase.

"One thing I forgot to mention." I paused as they all looked at me. "Marcus is also... bionic."

"What?!" The three bionics exclaimed.

"And he has all of your abilities combined." I added shrinking back.

"Are you serious?" Bree asked more to herself than me.

"Whoa." Chase huffed

"I know." Adam exclaimed.

"Leo, how could you not tell us that Marcus is bionic?" Bree asked trying to piece things together.

Adam stepped in to add his two cents, "Well, to be fair, he doesn't tell anyone we're bionic."

"I wanted to tell you, but he threatened to report your secret to the authorities." I explained.

"Guys. How are we supposed to pull this off? We've never had to fight against bionics before. We're not trained for it." Bree worried, and honestly she was right the closest they had come to that was sparring with Maddie and she hardly ever used her powers in them.

"I guess we do need Mr. Davenport." Chase said with a voice full of dread. But it gave me an idea.

"Big D can't help but maybe Maddie still can. Artie you there?" I asked my watch, getting weird looks from my three siblings.

"Of course sir, how may I assist you?" The male voice said from my watch.

"Could you back hack the signal that Marcus used to watch us in the lab and pull it up on this tablet?" I asked as I grabbed one of Maddie's tablets I had found in one of the boxes.

"Right away sir." In less than two minutes I had a stream of Marcus's lair with a large glowing cage in the center. Maddie was in there lying on the ground with a large gash on her forehead bleeding slightly but still breathing. Big D was also in the cage with her attempting to touch on of the glowing bars then pulling his hand away as if touching a hot stove.

"There's Maddie and it looks like he took Big D too." I showed them the screen and each of them wore a look of worry mixed with some level of anger. "I help you get in. I can't train you, but I can guide you. I've been in that lair, so I can help you navigate on the com set."

"Good call. Okay, guys. You ready to do this?" Chase asked pulling himself back together before grabbing each of the com links from his bag.

"Absolutely." Bree confirmed.

"Bring it!" Adam added in complete determination.

"Then, let's go get Maddie and our Dad." Chase commanded and the three ran out of the room. I connected the laptop we had brought to their coms, connected to the scanners we had placed in each of the suits so I could watch their vitals, and propped up the tablet so I could keep an eye on the situation.

Douglas's lair (Maddie's POV)-

I woke up with a throbbing pain in my head but still not opening my eyes. I could hear a stubble buzz and the pacing footsteps of someone nearby. I reached my hand to my face feeling the source of my pain, a large cut. It wasn't deep but it was large enough to be bothersome. Then my hand fell to my cheeks and they felt sticky. It took me a moment to remember why I had dumped Chase last night. My first Love. Doing that tour me apart but I had to for the sake of my brother. Marcus had threatened to kill him if I hadn't dumped Chase.

"Hello, Donny." Another pair of footsteps came with that rough and scatchy voice.

"Hello, Dougie." That was definitely Davenport, but how is he here? I took the moment to finally open my eyes to see that he was next to me in a large glowing cage.

"I hate it when you call me Dougie!" The other man, our captor, whined.

"I hate it when you call me Donny!" Davenport and him fought like children.

"Donny!" "Dougie!" The two continued.

"Nice digs. Love what you and Frankenstein have done with the place." Mr. Davenport said, I had sat up at this point but neither of them had realized.

"Ha-ha. Maybe I'd have a nicer place if you wouldn't have kicked me out of Davenport Industries." The man fought. They worked together?

"I kicked you out because you got all weird and turned into Dr. Evil. Or should I say Nurse Practitioner Evil, since you flunked out of Med School." This was really not the time to be pushing that guys nerves.

"I didn't flunk out. I was dismissed for screaming too loud when I saw the needles. And what you call evil, I call... taking the company in a more creative direction." So they started it together? Who was this guy?

"You were gonna use bionic humans as weapons." Any bit of teasing in his voice had left. This was about Adam, Bree, and... him now.

"And that's why I'm here... to finish what I started. To take back what's rightfully mine!" The man added.

"You are not going anywhere with Adam, Bree, and Chase." Davenport fought as I found the strength to stand up.

"Oh, I'm not going to them. Why do you think I took you two Donny? You are the two most important people in their lives. If it means saving you two, they'll come with me." He laughed before leaving us alone in the room.

Davenport turned to face me and realized that I was awake and standing. "Maddie?! Are you okay?" He glanced over me checking for injuries. "I am so sorry it is all my fault that you are wrapped up in this. I should never have hired you, I should've let you live your own life." He rambled on.

"Mr. Davenport this isn't your fault, it's Marcus's and whoever that guy was. Never say you wished you didn't hire me because then I would've never gotten to know the Davenports and you guys are like family." I could see that he was still blaming himself so I decided to be more vulnerable.

"I was never all that close with my dad. We had almost nothing in common and we never really spent time together once I reached seven. He never had that love of science and engineering that I share with you. You're the one who spent time teaching me, who was there when I needed help with my homework or to fix my mistakes. Working with you gave me that, gave me a father figure." I finished and he had tears in his eyes.

"Man, Douglas and Marcus really suck." He laughed as he wiped tears from his eyes.

"Douglas? Was that the guy you were talking to? How do you know him?" I fired quickly.

"He's my brother, we launched Davenport industries together before he..." Davenport was cut off as Douglas came back in with Marcus following him.

"If you're really into Maddie I don't care, but good luck trying to get her to date her. I've seen footage that girl is tough and a little crazy." I started choking on the air as I heard Douglas explain to Marcus.

"You know you're never gonna get away with this." Davenport said to his brother.

"Yeah. That's what you said when I stole 20 bucks from Dad's wallet. Guess what? I got away with it. Boom." He said with a finger gun and holster gesture.

"Oh, no, no, no. You do not go boom. I go boom. That's my thing! Boom!" Davenport copied the same movement but added a blow to the "barrel" of the "gun".

"Well, I guess I stole that too. Just like you stole Adam, Bree, and Chase." He grunted.

"I did not steal them. I was protecting them from you." Davenport fought, what really happened?

"I found a way to use our bionic technology in humans, and you ripped it right out of my hands." Douglas fought.

"You were gonna make bionic soldiers and rent them out to the highest bidder. You were gonna use kids for evil purposes." Davenport was fumming.

"You say that like it's a bad thing. Just trying to meet the needs of my customers. It's not my fault they're all dictators and madmen." Douglas smirked as he turned to see one of his screens. "What do you know? We've got company."

"Trust me, they will defeat you." I could see the fear Davenport help but it wasn't for himself, it was for his children.

"Oooh. I'm so scared." Douglas mocked. "You forget I have a bionic weapon of my own, Marcus!"

Marcus stepped out of his capsule and moved straight to Douglas. "Is it time?"

"It is. Go welcome our guests." The two smirked before Marcus left the room.

Douglas's House (Chase's POV)-

"Are you sure this is the right house?" Bree asked as we ran up to the side.

"Trust me, this is the house." We couldn't waste anymore time Maddie and Mr. Davenport need us.

"Are you sure? I don't hear Mr. Davenport crying like a baby." Adam added, I ignored him.

"How are we supposed to get inside if there's not even a door?" Bree said bringing up the main problem at the moment.

"Ooh. I know. Let's order a pizza and see what happens." Adam tried.

"Adam, that's ridiculous." I would just scan the house to find an entrance.

"Okay, it doesn't have to be pizza. Can be Chinese, Mexican, whatever you want." He explained.

"Guys, focus. You need to look for a way to get inside. Once you're in, I can tell you where to go." Leo said over the coms.

"I got this. Open Sesame!" Adam yelled at the wall and it opened.

"Adam?" How did he do that?

"Congratulations. Your hidden ability is talking to vinyl sidings." Bree teased.

"Oh." Adam realized that it was Marcus who had opened the wall.

"Well, well, well. Look who's here." He said as he walked out of the house.

"I should warn you. I can control vinyl siding." Adam threatened as we all got into fighting stances.

"Where's Mr. Davenport?" "Where's Maddie?" Bree and I asked.

"Oh, is the little bionic boy still longing for his ex-girlfriend?"

"Why would you do this, Marcus? We thought you were our friend." I asked.

"Oh, yeah, you fell for that one. Hook, line, and sinker. Who would've thought pathetic little Leo was right all along?" Marcus asked with a voice full of mirth.

"Thank you!... Hey!" Leo exclaimed through the coms.

"And, you know, the best part of all, is that none of you had a clue that I'm just like you." Marcus continued.

"Half-Irish?" Adam asked.

"Bionic. I'm bionic." He corrected Adam.

"Well, you're gonna take us to Mr. Davenport." Bree commanded as she sped over to Marcus.

"You're gonna have to move faster than that." He said speeding away.

"Let's see how you handle this." Adam tried his heat vision but Marcus combated it with his own and blasted Adam away.

"No!" Bree cried running after Adam.

"You wanna give it a shot?" He asked, challenging me.

"Thought you'd never ask." I growled. I had Spike growling in my head but I had to hold him back for now. I needed to be calculated. I jumped up using my new levitation ability to float higher, then spinning and kicking Marcus knocking him out.

"Oh. I didn't know you could do that." Adam mused.

"Come on!" I commanded and we ran in, leaving Marcus behind.

Douglas's lair (Maddie's POV)-

I had began pacing the cell. Adam, Bree, and Chase had gotten to the house ten minutes ago and I hadn't heard anything. Douglas and Mr. Davenport weren't helping my headache either.

"You know, for an unstable sociopath, your taste in music can be a lot better." Davenport commented. Douglas had decided to play slow jazz making our torture worse.

"You were in a boy band." Douglas fought.

"It was not a boy band. It was an A Capella group that just happened to be made up of boys." I turned, giving him a look.

"That's worse than being in a boy band." I explained and Douglas laughed.

"Mr. Davenport!" "Maddie!" Adam, Bree, and Chase ran in wearing their new mission suits. My heart hurt a bit seeing Chase.

"Oh, goody. Everyone's here. Party time!" Douglas cheered.

"I've secured the perimeter. They're ours now." Marcus said running back in. The three got into a fighting position.

"Mr. Davenport, what is going on? Who is this guy?" Chase asked.

"Who is this guy?" Adam asked.

I wasn't sure but I think I know what actually happened between the Davenports. "Donny, you never told them about me? I'm deeply offended. Adam, Bree, Chase... I'm your father."

"What do you mean you're our father?" Chase asked.

"Yeah, he's our father!" Bree fought for Davenport.

"No, that's what he's been telling you." Douglas was getting frustrated. What did he think would happen? That they'd turn on Davenport immediately?

"Well, I don't know who you are but you're going down." Adam started towards Douglas before all three of them were teleported into our cage.

"You mastered short range teleportation before I did? We've been working on that for years!" Davenport whined.

"I know, I'm awesome." Douglas said with pride.

"You're still going down!" Adam moved forward but stopped short. "My super strength. It's gone".

Bree tried to speed forward "So is my speed."

"I've got nothing." The cell wasn't very large so with five people we were basically shoulder to shoulder and Chase was right next to me.

"That's because I've designed the lasers to block the signals from your bionic chips. That's right, daddy gave you toys, but he can also take them away." Douglas explained before he left.

"Are you okay?" Chase asked. He moved in front of me examining the cut on my head. Due to the close proximity I was forced to look at him and his scent filled my lungs.

"I'm fine." I tried looking away but it moved Chase's hand into the cut and I winced.

"You're fine?" he raised a brow.

"What do you want me to say? Of course I'm not okay! You think I wanted to break up?!" Tears started rolling down my cheeks. "They threatened my brother, if I didn't dump you they'd kill him. It hurts to see you and know I can't do anything."

He grabbed my cheeks and wiped away my tears with his thumbs. "Alex is safe. I know you would never break up with me over the phone or without a reason."

"Why are you so nice?" I gave up and leaned in to him letting him hug me.

"Cause I love you?" He laughed.

"So do you want to be my boyfriend again?" I asked, smiling for the first time today.

"When did I stop being your boyfriend?" He smiled and I moved to kiss him before a kiss we were interrupted by a cough.

"You know we are all still in here with you." Davenport explained.

"Fine. No kissing." I groaned, but Chase kept his arm around me.

"How is your head for real?" He asked.

"It's sore but I'll be alright." I provided as Douglas and Marcus waltzed back in. I moved away from Chase but he understood.

"Well, Marcus. We finally captured them. Actually, I captured them. Me, me, me, me, me." Douglas mused.

"You've got one of those too, huh?" Chase asked and I couldn't help but laugh.

"You have no idea." Marcus fumed.

"Come on. We got work to do!" Douglas lead Marcus out again as Marcus continued to fume behind him.

Chase turned to Davenport for answers "Mr. Davenport, why did that guy say he was our father?"

"Because technically, he is your father, and my brother." Davenport explained.

I tuned out of the story having pieced it together earlier but I took the chance to look around the room but nothing stuck out from the past few days of being here.

"He wanted to make you into cyber-soldiers of mass destruction. But I knew if I raised you in a safe environment, I could train you to be bionic heroes. So I built the lab and I had you there." Davenport explained.

"Wow, so everything we've ever known about ourselves, about you, it's all been..." Chase started.

"One big lie." Bree concluded.

"Wow. This changes everything. Oh! Am I Jewish?" Adam asked, excitedly.

"Please tell me there's another unexpected twist where I find out that I'm not related to him." Bree pleaded with sarcasm.

"Oi, this one with the futzing and the complaining." Adam added with an old jewish accent.

"Look, I wanted to tell you guys, but I figured the less you knew, the safer you'd be." Davenport said moving back to the actual conversion.

"But we trusted you. I mean, if you were lying about this, then, who knows what else you were lying about?" Chase asked, I could tell he was getting more tense so I grabbed him hand to calm him down.

"Exactly." Adam said, pulling at Davenport's hair.

"Ow! What are you doing?" He moved away from Adam wincing in pain.

"He's not lying about the hair, just looks fake." Adam explained.

Douglas and Marcus came back in once again and I released Chase's hand."Hello, family."

"We're not your family. Let us out of here." Bree fought. Marcus move back to his capsule.

"Yeah, you can't force us to be your cyber-soldiers." Chase moved forward.

"Actually, I can, boy wonder. See, when I created you, I installed my Triton app on your chips. Once it's activated, I'll control your bodies, and your minds." I paled as Douglas explained his plan. "You'll do whatever I want, whether it's start a world war, or some light housekeeping."

"Oh, no way. You cannot make me vacuum!" Adam exclaimed.

"Why do you need us? I mean, you already have Marcus and apparently a barber with a sense of humor." Bree said teasing him.

"Marcus is just an android. He's not sleeping, he's recharging. Trouble with androids is they burn out too quick. He won't make it to his 16th birthday. Oh, but don't tell him that: he thinks he's getting a car." He looked at the screen and turned it to screen so we could see Leo outside. "Oh, look who showed up to be a hero. And this one's not even bionic. I can take him out with the sprinklers."

"Leave him alone! He's just a kid!" Davenport fought.

"A nosy kid who keeps getting in our way!" Douglas fumed.

"Stay away from him!" Bree added with fear lacing her voice.

"Don't worry, princess. I'm not gonna hurt him." Marcus came back to Douglas watching the screen. "Marcus wanted that privilege all for himself. You little friend Leo is back. This time, take care of him for good."

"Done." Marcus smiled and walked out without giving Douglas a fist bump.

"Really, dude? You're just gonna leave your creator hanging like that?!" Douglas yelled after him.

We watched the screen as Marcus shot Leo with a strong electricity blast sending him flying into a tree.

"No!" We exclaimed.

"Leo! Poor Leo! He was trying to save us." Bree said.

"He tried to warn us about Marcus and we ignored him." Chase added.

"When I get out of here, I'm taking you and Marcus down." Adam growled.

"Good luck with that. Once I press this, it'll activate your Triton apps. Then I'll control you. Permanently." Douglas tried activating their apps multiple times. "Marcus, did you put batteries in this thing!"

"Ha! I went in their chips and put a block on your app a long time ago! Ooh, it is so good watching you eat it! Ow!" Davenport hit his hand on the electrified bar mid gloat.

"Very clever, Donny. But, I'll get around it. I've always been a better programmer than you! There, see? Only eight minutes till my cypher key decrypts your amateur block and activates the Triton app! What are you gonna do? Call Mommy? If you do, don't tell her I'm alive." Douglas winced and left again.

"Guys, there's only four minutes left until the block is decrypted. We have to get out of here." Bree warned.

"If we could find a way to deflect one of these beams, we could take out the control console and deactivate the laser source. I don't suppose anybody has a mirror on them." Davenport said, looking at each of us.

"If any of us had a mirror on them, it would be you!" I said what we were all thinking.

"There must be something we can use." Chase said.

"Well, I can't think on an empty stomach." Adam pulled out a granola bar from his ankle holster.

"You brought a granola bar?" Chase asked incredulously.

"Yup. Thanks for taking my suggestion on the snack holder." Adam gave me a nod in thanks.

"That was supposed to be for a weapon." I tried.

"Oi, this one with the weapons." Adam said in his accent once again.

"Oh, hey, we can use this as a reflective surface." Bree said, taking Adam's wrapper.

"Yes, but it will never withstand the intensity of these beams. We need something to support it. Something hard and flat." Davenport added.

"How about Adam's head?" Chase laughed but i knocked him over the head.

"What about your belt buckle?" I asked, pointing at the obscene buckle.

"Yes! Wait, this is custom." He whined.

"Really?" Bree took the buckle and wrapped it up. "There. Now we've got a mirror."

"Hey, step aside Bree. Let the big boys take care of this." Chase moved us back to have room to bend the beam.

"Oh, okay. When are they getting here?" Bree laughed.

"Tilt back on the Z axis." Davenport guided as Bree and I were left to watch.

"Almost got it." Chase said.

"No, no, not that one. That one. What? I had my snack. I'm ready to help. Hold this." Adam took over but Chase and Davenport wouldn't stop backseat driving.

"Just give it to me!" I took our make-shift mirror and quick bend the beam at the angle I had calculated hitting the computer spot on. "And, that's not rocket science. Which you two can do and that makes it worse."

The bars fell and we all left the cage. "Our bionics are back." Chase explained.

"Come on, let's get out of here." Bree started towards the exit but we got cut off by Marcus and Douglas.

"Bravo. But just 'cause a dog gets out of his cage doesn't mean he's going for a walk." Douglas said.

"Wait, you have a dog? Where, where, where, where, where?" Adam asked, I just pulled him back to stand next to me.

"Douglas. You're not getting these kids." Davenport said stepping forward.

"Wrong again, Donny. Look, the decryption is complete. Now I'll have total control of their-" Davenport kicked the remote out of Douglas's hand. "Ow!"

"Guys, run!" He called.

"We're not leaving without you!" Bree said.

"Just go!" Davenport fought and we started for the exit.

"Marcus, stop them!" Marcus stepped in front of us and Chase pulled me behind him.

"Out of our way, Marcus." Chase growled.

"Not a chance. I'm more powerful than all of you." Marcus hummed.

"Oh, he's lying. I haven't seen him at the gym once." Adam moved to punch Marcus but Marcus caught it and threw Adam to the ground.

"Adam!" Bree went to Adam's side.

"No one touches my brother, you freak!" Chase lunged at Marcus. I moved over to the control panel to see if I could stop the app from there. He dodged Chase's attacks then grabbed him and threw him at the catwalk then ran up to the catwalk himself. .

"Let's make this fun, huh?" He used the control panel to open a giant industrial meat grinder directly below Chase.

"Who has that in their house?" He yelled. I changed my focus to figure out how to close the grinder.

"This place used to be a sausage factory. You could fit a whole cow in there." Marcus explained.

"Chase, hold on! Adam, go help Maddie to see if any of those buttons will close the floor." Bree ran up to Marcus and fought him.

"Oooh, buttons. Hey, I think I got it!" Adam hit a button and fire shot out into the grinder. "No, still working on it!"

"Work faster!" Chase plead.

"Why don't you go get ready to catch him? I'll figure this out." I explained and Adam moved over to the opening in the floor ready to catch Chase.

"Nice try, cupcake." I heard Marcus say to Bree. Marcus knocked one of Chase's hands off of the chain.

"Maddie, hurry!" Chase yelled.

"What do you think I'm doing?!" I fought, finally finding the right button.

Adam moved underneath Chase, who hadn't realized he was safe. Bree and Marcus fought and He knocked her onto the ground.

"Say goodbye, Chase." Marcus kicked Chase's last hand making him fall.

"No!" Chase called.

Adam caught Chase before he hit the ground. "Got him!"

"You may be strong, but let's see you take on all three of us." Adam said as the three of them surrounded Marcus.

"Go ahead, creep. Take your best shot." Chase challenged.

"I'll give you one better." Before I knew what was going on I was choking with a lack of air and my feet had left the ground. Marcus was choking me and holding me out from the catwalk.

"Let go of her!" Chase growled. I could barely tell what was going on but I heard a distinctive roar. Spike was here. I was suddenly dropped to the ground and Bree helped me up. I watched as Spike threw every item he could find at Marcus still charging towards him.

"What is wrong with you?" Marcus asked in fear.

"No one touches my kitten!" He roared. He tackled Marcus and sat over him hitting him over and over again. Marcus sent a large electric blast through Spike sending him flying and knocking him out.

"Chase!" I panicked running over to him with Adam and Bree covering me. They proceeded to fight Marcus but he gave them the same electric blast. Douglas had jumped down from the catwalk and grabbed the remote from the ground but before he could use it the exo-skeleton crashed into the room.

"Exoskeleton in the house! Or whatever you call this funky place." Leo said.

"Leo, you're alive!" Davenport cheered.

"Ugh!" Marcus groaned.

"I ask you to do one thing!" Douglas chastised. Davenport took the distraction and jumped down to break the remote. "You broke it!"

"Ha!" He laughed.

"You always break my toys!" Douglas whined. He grabbed Davenport's hair and pulled.

"Not the hair. Not the hair." Davenport fought by pulling on Douglas's hair.

"You, not the hair! Ow!" The two brothers continued fighting.

"How do you like me now, Marcus?" Leo asked, shooting him with lasers.

"Still not a fan." Marcus sped forward and knocked Leo over.

"So this thing can bust through walls and shoot lasers but it can't get back up?!" Leo complained.

"Well, it's a prototype." Davenport explained.

"You just don't seem to go away, Leo. This time I'm gonna finish you for good!" Marcus pulled out saw fingers. Chase began waking up.

"Leo's alive!" Chase realized.

"Nuh-uh. Not for long." Marcus tisked.

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Adam threatened pulling in energy.

"What's going on?" Chase asked as I helped him stand up.

"I think he just discovered his new ability." Bree added.

"I think we should get behind him." I pulled Chase behind Adam and Bree joined us.

"That was awesome! Wow. All that from one granola bar." Adam cheered. The room began to crumble with the ceiling collapsing in on us.

"What's going on? Are we winning?" Leo asked.

"We gotta get out of here. The whole place is coming down." Chase pulled my hand and we all started moving towards the door stopping to grab Leo.

"Where's Douglas?" Davenport asked.

"We have to go now." Adam said putting priority in orders.

"You are not going anywhere." Marcus started an electricity blast.

"Marcus! Look out!" Chase warned but Marcus wouldn't move and he was crushed by the ceiling. "Let's go!"

Davenport Lab (Maddie's POV)-

"Guys, I just wanted to tell you. I'm really proud of what you did today. I'm really proud of who you've become. You're heroes. That's all I ever wanted you to be. You too, Maddie, Leo." Davenport said as Chase bandages my forehead.

"Thanks, Big D. Sorry about your exoskeleton. You can take it out of my allowance." Leo provided.

"It costs a million dollars." I added from my place with my back leaning against Chase's chest and his arms around my waist.

"Easy come, easy go." Leo said and Davenport nodded.

"Most of all, I'm sorry I lied to you." He apologized.

"You don't have to apologize. We get it." Bree said.

"At least now you know Douglas is your real father." Davenport said with despair in his voice.

"No. He's not. He may have created us but you made us who we are. You are our father." Chase said and I hummed.

"Come here." Davenport pulled us all into a group hug.

"Wow, this is the first time we've ever seen you cry." Adam said to Davenport as we all pulled away.

"I'm not crying, I'm in pain. I think I cracked a rib. It really hurts. Really." Davenport hugged his side and we all stepped back.

. . .

"It is so nice to be home in a warm, toasty, sterile lab." Chase hummed.

"Hey, congrats on discovering the new ability." Bree said to Adam.

"I know. It's gonna come in super handy on bowling night." Adam said and I laughed in my desk chair.

"Leo... I'm proud of you. You really stepped up and proved yourself to be a true mission specialist. Way to fill my shoes." Davenport said with pride for Leo.

"Aww, big D. I could never fill your shoes... or fit in them. Some really tiny kickers, man." Leo laughed.

"You know what, I'm gonna let that slide since you saved the day. Goodnight" Davenport said patting him on the back before heading out.
