Chapter 27 - Best Reviewer

GT made her presence felt on the stage once more as the commercial song ended.

"And we're back, everyone. We are coming down to the home stretch of the ceremony with only three awards left. So to welcome our next presenter, please, once again, give a round of applause to Tara and Jason Morgan."

Tara and Jason came out to the stage with their five-year-old daughter, Lara.

"Reviews have always been an integral part to a story. They can bring out the best critic in us or the worst troll," Jason explained. "The best reviewers often bring out the positives and the negatives of a story and often suggest improvements on how the author should better his/her writing."

"Tonight's nominees for Best Reviewer are..."

This is an intense, disturbing story but I'm glad you're writing it. Bullying is a real problem and as you've shown anybody can be a victim. I'm glad you're keeping the chapters short. That better serves your narrative.

I'd love to see everything work out for Kim and for her tormentors to get their due. Sadly, life doesn't always work out that way. Which, I guess, is why we have fiction. Time for Kim, with Ron and her family to kick some Bonnie biscuit.

this is so awesome. i love the world you've created. and the way you write, i can visualize all of the scenes. you have the canon characters down perfectly and the OCs are great too. that prison banter was awesome! and i love how consistent the OCs are between the chapters where they appear. i'm starting to create images for them in my head, and i'll be happy to see more of them.

also-thanks for updating regularly! i love knowing i'll have something to make me smile when i get home from work each day.

oh, and drakken working with duff? and a baby sea monster? awesome!

In the wings, BCB blushed at her lack of grammar and capitalization when in casual text-talk being exposed while GT gave her a look.

"Please don't let them use Sent's story...please don't let them use Sent's story..." Kim begged, hoping to be spared of the humiliation that befell on her when the 12th Fannies occurred.

Quite the pivot in the lives of so many as Yono may have been defeated forever...

The post-battle healing has begun, with many changes for those who survived and go forward with the lives they have been and will start to live.

Ron's handing over the Blade to Monty signals his direct end as Yamanouchi's Chosen One so he and Kim can forge their own paths, together. Kim may not know just what she will do, in light of her most recent associations with GJ, but if she does join the Agency, it will be with eyes wide open, no longer naive about the depths GJ possesses in their 'business'. Ron's future is not set in stone, but he may take a life and career path more relaxed than the one he was on as a Hero, or Champion of Yamanouchi. Startled of their parents' decisions towards Ron's healing, they both settled in for what Sensei said would benefit the young man...But, it seems that Hana is an MMP-Capacitor of sorts...for Ron's healing, eh? LOL! Go! You little Bunny-with-a-Drum! Go!...

Yori, has severed direct ties with Yamanouchi, her Heart being what she wishes to protect and nourish more than the Honor and Discipline of a Yamanouchi Ninja offered to her. Her path may be where the winds and waters take her, but she is no longer bound by Yamanouchi, though their training and lessons will help her as she makes her own way in the world. Wonder if she will find her way to two friends of hers in the States, where she could find a Home while she becomes who she is meant to be. And Hana will be quite happy to have another to tease and have chase after her...

Sensei is now ready for retirement as someone is ready to assume the mantle for Yamanouchi. His life has been interesting and what guidance he had to offer and still can, will help those who ask for it...

Monty and Betty have found what eluded each, in the years prior to this event. Cautious but open to love, they both know there is much to learn and much more they want to learn as they weigh what is involved in a long, very long-distance relationship that is beginning. I'm sure they tried not to be a spectacle on the blanket beside the waterfall, and they probably weren't, but their actions provided the 'nudge' to a Ninja who decided her Heart was the most important thing to her, over the ordered life of a Yamanouchi Ninja.

She will find answers in the world she's to travel in, as will all those who took part in what may have been the last encounter with the Yono...In their own time.

An ending of promise and love for many while the world continues to spin.

Glad to have been along for the ride.

"At least that is more respectable..." Kim muttered from her seat, knowing that somehow, that story that begins with the letter H would rear its head.

No good deed ever goes unpunished. Trying to do the right thing has cost them dearly and they've had enough. There's an old saying that if you provide charity long enough, the recipients start to look at it as something they're entitled to.

The question is, what will they do with the rock once they get it back? Will it be destroyed, hidden, or broken down and sold? Maybe they can keep a piece of it for an engagement ring?

I liked the tale. This is how good people go bad.

Well Shego certainly is a complex character and the way you think she's jealous of Kim makes sense.

All in all the road she took in life made her who she is today, she didn't have it easy but she didn't quit and in the end her brothers were free.

Shego telling Drakken her real name is quite a sign of trust if I ever saw one.

"And the award of Best Reviewer goes to...CajunBear73!"

The audience roared as CajunBear73 ascended the stairs. Looking to those he'd known for so many years, out in the audience and onstage, he waited for the applause to end before he began to speak.

"I'd like to thank all of you who have kept the Kimmunity alive and thriving, whether it's reading, or writing, or beta-reading, or reviewing those tales...to making an event like this one possible." He paused while everyone applauded the sentiment, again waiting for the applause to wane. "Each of you, in your own way, keep the legacy of Kim Possible and her 'family' alive and going into the future. Where this goes is limited only by the imagination of each and every one of you who take part in those events, posted onsite.

"I am humbled to be rewarded by all of you for throwing in my two cents to a tale that was something the writer put their heart into and I thank you for the accolade. I also thank those who also contributed by their reviews and hope they will continue to do so as long as they can."

Taking a moment to gather his thoughts, CajunBear 73 continued. "In closing, I thank those who decided to place me in the company of those who were also considered for the award." He waved to the audience after picking up his Rufus, "So thank you and keep the dream alive. See you online."

As CajunBear73 was directed offstage, GT then came back on.

"And congrats to CajunBear for his award!" she said before the Kimmunicator sound beeped once again.

"This means that we are coming to our final segment of the evening, so do not get up from your seats! We are going to present the Best Story of 2019 and Best Writer of 2019 after we come from the commercial break."
