"Telepath? Neverseen? Traitor? Washer?" Dex suggested.

They had been attempting to uncover Gethen's mental password for hours, and Sophie was beginning to think that they would never figure it out.

Sophie sighed, "I don't think so, it has to be something personal that bares a connection between us." She almost gagged at the thought of any relation to the murderer.

Just then, a cloaked figure walked in. "Echo" Sophie said. "What are you doing here."

The double agent looked on edge, as if she was expecting to be attacked at any moment. "There's something I need to tell you." Echo said, her voice deadly seriously.

"What's wrong?" Sophie asked, getting to her feet.

"I found out the Neverseen's plan is." she said.

A shock ran through Sophie. She had been trying to figure out their plan since her arrival.

"What is it?" Stina asked impatiently.

"You guys are the bait."

Of course, Sophie thought. Keefe would never come willingly, allowing Lady Gisela to access his new abilities. But to save his friends, he would hand himself over.

"If Gisela can get her hands on Keefe's abilities, the first thing she'll do is use him to unlock whatever other abilities Mr. Forkle has yet to give you. Keefe is powerful, but the two of you together would be like handing her all of the cards. And then," Echo threw her hands up. "Who knows what she'd do."

Sophie was overwhelmed, everything was falling into place and the odds didn't look good. But something else was tugging at her, "Wait, Keefe can activate abilities?"

Sophie glanced at Dex, who was looking down, seeming to be lost in his own thoughts. Sophie knew that there was something going on with him, something she must've missed.

"So what's the plan?"

Shock spread across the faces of everyone in the room. Even Squall seemed to be surprised.

Keefe couldn't believe it, but as overwhelming as it was, it also made sense. Why else would he have left his cache to Sophie? Or been a supporter on the counsel from the very beginning? And now that he thought about it, there had been many instances where he should've put it together.

He only had one question, "Why would you choose to sacrifice that identity? I mean, as a counselor you had enough influence and power to benefit the Black Swan."

Mr. Forkle sighed, "My identity was compromised. Killing me was one of Fintan's motives for setting the Everblaze."

Keefe wondered if it had been him or his brother at the time of the attack. And if Oralie had been one of the factors in the decision to fake his death.

Keefe had so many overwhelming emotions, he didn't know weather to be happy that Kenric was alive, or betrayed that he had lied to them for so long. Although, he could've been interpreting the emotions of others in the room. He suspected they all had similar conflicting feelings, except Fitz, who's only perspective on the matter seemed to inspire anger.

"I was there when you died! I went to your funeral! And you've been lying to us about all of it the entire time?" Fitz yelled.

Mr. Forkle hung his head and sighed, "I do not regret my decision ,but I should've told you kids."

Fitz still looked upset, but he said no more.

"Guys, your forgetting that we know where Sophie is!" Biana said, successfully changing the subject to something much more important.

Keefe sighed, "Biana is right. Now we just need a plan."
