A/N: Alright, as well as us 50 Shades fans know- there is a part here I included on my own. Sadly, Christian never gets to have a piece of Jack when he comes onto Ana, so... because I am awesome and this is SQ lol I decided to give Emma that privilege, adding an extra scene of my own creation. ;) Happy reading all! 4th update of the day is on its way. You guys are awesome!
Robin groans, feeling a tenth kick right into his rib. He could hear a bone crack as the kick was delivered. A line of blood was visible from his nostril and another from a busted lip. A cut was just above his eye.
"You fucking touch Ms. Mills again, I'll fucking kill you!" Gold shouts, delivering another kick right to his rib before gathering all of Regina's personal belongings and exiting the building.
Outside, they could hear faint groans and Gold's shouts. Regina's blood runs cold, wondering what could have Gold possibly have done to Robin.
"Come. Get in the car." Emma holds the passenger door open.
"My stuff, I left them inside the office-"
"Gold will get them. Come." Emma reaches for her phone.
"Emma, he has my emails."
"What?" Green eyes are staring at her, wide.
"My emails to you. He wanted to know where your emails to me were. He was trying to blackmail me."
The look in Emma's eye screamed murder. "Fuck!" Her hands ran through her hair before she punches a number into her cell. Her eyes glaring directly toward Regina as she spoke. "Barney. Swan. I need you to access the N.Y. Book Publishers main server and wipe all of Regina Mills' emails to me. Then access the personal data files of Robin Locksley and check they aren't stored there. If they are, wipe them… Yes, all of them. Now. Let me know when it's done."
Regina watches her hang up the call, dialing another number soon after.
"Hades. Swan. Locksley- I want him out. Now. This minute. Call security. Get him to clear his desk immediately, or I will liquidate this company first thing in the morning. You already have all the justification you need to give him his pink slip. Do you understand?" She listens for a minute before hanging up the call.
Regina gives her an apologetic look. She can practically see the vein in her forehead ready to pop at any given minute.
"Phone," Emma stretches out her hand, feeling Regina's phone fall right into her palm. "Get in the car."
"Are you seriously mad at me?" Asks Regina.
"Yes. I am beyond mad at you. I told you to use your fucking phone. Now, get in the car." She tucks the brunette's phone inside her pocket.
"Emma, just promise me you won't do anything stupid."
"Stupid?" She scoffs, "I should kill that motherfucker!" Her eyes close. "Get in the car, Regina."
"Emma, calm down-"
"Regina, I swear to God, if you don't get in this fucking car, I will put you in there myself. Get in motherfucking car- NOW!" She shouts, slamming the door in place once Regina is inside.
She was mad. Raging mad. The maddest she had ever seen Emma be. Fire was coming out of her eyes mad as she paced back and forth. But, Regina knew she wasn't as mad about the emails more than what Robin tried to do. And that's what scared her the most right now.
For what felt like an eternity later, she watched a couple of cars pull into the side of the building. While they all went inside, Regina quickly opened the door and called out to Emma, who was ready to move in ahead of them. Luckily the blonde turned back, walking toward her.
"Emma, please. Just be careful. If anything happened to you, I'd die." She whispered.
Emma blinked, taking a few deep breaths, her eyes still a dark green color. "I'll be careful. Just… stay in the car." She said more calmly this time as she shut the door and headed inside.
The blonde rushed inside, literally pushing her way through the security team and Hades himself. Her eyes fell on a bruised up Robin, a box in hand gathering all of his things. Gold was standing beside him, making sure he was doing what he needed to do. That, and that didn't try anything stupid. Her eyes blazed as she then stormed into the office. Her bare fist coming at him in a swinging motion, landing a punch directly on his nose. She could feel the bone crack as specks of blood spluttered out. The box, along with the things packed inside it and Robin himself clattering against the floor.
"You fucking bitch!" He groaned, his groans muffled by his hands holding onto his bleeding nose. It surprised him how much a punch from her hurt him.
"You're done, Locksley!" She spat, glaring at him, towering over him. "If I ever see your face again, or if you so much as come near Regina- I will kill you myself."
Robin's eyes glared up into stone cold green ones. His hatred spurring out of him, like the blood from his nose.
Emma's eyes fall on Gold. "Be sure he leaves nothing behind. I'm taking Regina home."
"Yes, ma'am." Gold nods.
Green eyes glared down at Robin once again. "Once he's done, you toss him out onto the street." She snarls.
"With pleasure." Gold wanted to smirk, but held back. "He was found on the floor when I came in." He released a chuckle then, freely, "It seems Ms. Mills gave him a good kick."
And with that Emma was gone, leaving the rest to deal with him, while she quickly climbed back into the SUV and drove out into the evening traffic.
Regina was relieved once she saw Emma. Her life had been brought back into her body, no matter how mad she was at her. Even if she doesn't say a word.
Her phone rings and she answers, driving one handed. "Swan," she snaps.
"Ms. Swan, Barney here."
"Barney…" She puts the phone down and puts it on speaker. "I'm on speaker."
"Ma'am, it's all done. But I need to talk to you about what else I found on Mr. Locksley's computer."
Oh, no. What more could he have found on Robin? Regina wondered in silence.
"I'll call you once I've reached my destination. And thanks again, Barney." She says.
"No problem, Ms. Swan."
Emma hangs up the call, remaining silent for the rest of the drive, her eyes fixated on the road ahead of them. While Regina's was focused on tiny specks of blood decorating Emma's white knuckles. It was then, her cousin Ivy came to mind telling her the story of a much younger Emma, in her teens getting into fights at school. Had she hit him? She wouldn't blame her, but exactly how hard had she hit him?
As they pull into a parking spot in the garage of the blonde's apartment. Emma opens the door for Regina, holding out her hand to her. "Come." She says more calmly.
Regina follows her toward the elevator, and as they enter it, and Emma presses the button that would raise them to her floor, she decides to break the silence.
"Did you hit him?" She asks Emma, watching her clean off the specks of blood on her knuckles with a handkerchief.
She nods. "I should have killed him." She sighs, grabbing Regina, pinning her against the elevator wall, taking her completely by surprise, especially once her lips press against her own in a hard and passionate kiss that made both their heads spin.
Regina is left breathless once Emma pulls away, her hands already tangled in the blonde's hair as she's staring back into soft green eyes again. It amazed her the effect she had to calm her sometimes.
"God, Regina," she whispers. "If he had done anything to you… if he had harmed you… he'd be dead." Regina can feel the shutter leave the blonde's voice. "Phone," she commands quietly. "From now on. Understand?"
Regina nods, unable to move or break contact from Emma's adoring gaze.
Emma pulled back, standing straight. "Gold said you kicked him in the balls." There was humor in her tone, admiration even.
"Yes." Regina is still reeling from the events that took place and her own reaction.
She chuckles. "Good."
"My father is ex-military. He taught me well."
"I'm very glad he did," she breathes, raising a brow and adding, "I'll need to remember that." She reaches out for the brunette's hand and leads her out of the elevator and into the apartment. "I need to call Barney. I won't be long."
Just like that? Was she forgiven? Regina is left alone in the living room as Emma disappears to her study. Her eyes glance over at Mrs. Lucas, who is just finishing up their meal for the evening. She takes a seat on one of the bar stools against the breakfast bar.
"Can I help you?" She offers Mrs. Lucas, looking for any type of distraction after today.
Mrs. Lucas smiles kindly. "No, thank you, Ms. Mills. Can I fix you a drink, ma'am? You look like you could use one."
"I'd love a glass of wine." Regina breathes.
"White?"
"Red." She corrects her. "Please."
"Certainly." Mrs. Lucas fetches for a bottle of red wine, it is chilled. She pours two glasses and sets one down before the brunette and the other beside her.
"Thank you." Regina reaches for her glass, taking a much needed sip.
Her mind trails back to the events of this evening. How could Robin do this to her? How could he want to blackmail her like that? What would happen now with her job? What would happen with him, and who would run the office now?
"Evening Eugenia," Emma greets her, appearing and sitting near the brunette, reaching for her own glass of wine.
"Good evening, Ms. Swan. Dinner in ten, ma'am?"
"Sounds good." Emma's eyes fall on Regina and her hand raises her glass. "To ex-military men who train their daughters well," she says, her eyes soft.
"Cheers." Regina raises her glass, clinking it with Emma's.
"What's wrong?" She asks, after taking a sip.
"I don't know if I still have a job."
Emma's head cocks to one side. "Do you still want one?"
"Of course."
"Then you still have one." She smiles, like the mistress of her own universe that she is.
Oh, good! "What will happen with Robin?" She asks.
"I am going to ruin his career and see to it that he never does this to any other woman for as long as he lives." She scoffs in disgust. "Sorry excuse for a man that he is."
Mrs. Lucas cooks up a chicken pot pie for dinner. And what a delicious it was. Both women decided to move on from the sour topic that was Robin Locksley as they eat through their dinner. Regina decided to take the opportunity to mention Daniel's impending visit.
"Daniel called me today," Regina says nonchalantly.
"Oh?" Emma's lips press into a hard line.
"He wants to deliver your photos on Friday."
"A personal delivery. How accommodating of him," She mutters.
Regina swallows. "He wants to go out. For a drink. With me."
Of course he does. "I see."
"Belle and Ruby should be back by then," Regina adds.
Emma places her fork down, frowning. "What exactly are you asking?"
"I'm not asking anything, Emma. I'm simply informing you of my plans for Friday." She pauses, noticing the lift brow from Emma. "Look, I want to see Daniel and he wants to stay over. Either he stays here or he can stay at my place and Belle's, but if he does, I should be there, too."
Emma's eyes are wide. "He made a pass at you, Regina."
"Emma, that was weeks ago. He was drunk, I was drunk, you saved the day- it won't happen again. He's no Robin, for heaven's sake."
"Belle and most likely my sister will be there. They can keep him company."
Regina rolls her eyes. "He wants to see me, not Belle or Ruby."
Emma glares, shaking her head, "I don't like it."
For the love of God. Regina sighs, "He's my friend, Emma. I haven't seen him since his show. And that was too brief. I know you don't have any friends, apart from that God-awful woman, but I don't moan about you seeing her," She snaps. Emma blinks, shocked. "I want to see him. I've been a poor friend to him."
"Is that what you think?" Emma breathes.
"Think about what?"
"Mal. You'd rather I didn't see her?"
"Exactly. I'd rather you didn't see her."
Emma's head cocked to one side. "Why didn't you say?"
"Because it's not my place to say. You think she's your only friend." Regina shrugs. "Just as it's not your place to say if I can or can't see Daniel. Don't you see that? And besides, now that I'm going to be living here too…"
Emma remains silent for a moment, chewing on another piece of chicken pot pie, as if chewing on the problem. Well, problem for her, because it seemed Emma was the only one with a problem. Regina watches as she stabs another piece of sliced up pie with her fork, and how smoothly she brings it up to her mouth, biting down on it. The fork caressing her lips on the way out. It was so sexy even to watch her eat.
"He can stay here, I suppose," she mutters. "At least here, I can keep an eye on him."
Did she say he can stay? The heavens have opened!
"Thank you!" Regina grins, placing a big wet kiss against Emma's cheek, rubbing off the smudge lipstick off with the base of her thumb. "Besides, it's not like we don't have the space." She smirks.
The corners to Emma's lips tilt upward into a smirk of her own. "Are you smirking at me, Ms. Mills?"
"Absolutely, Ms. Swan." She rushes to pick up both their empty plates, you know before Emma's palms decide to start twitching and heads toward the sink.
"Eugenia will do that." Emma calls out.
"I've got it now. We need to give her a break, Emma." She smirks over her shoulder, feeling Emma's eyes on her as she quickly washes the dishes. They were on her the entire time.
Emma observes her silently, wondering how… how on earth did Regina Mills manage to ever peel back her tough layers? How did she come into her life always being more to her than just a Submissive? How did Regina possibly win the key into her heart when no other woman could? The rest weren't even allowed to call her by her name- ever. But Regina saying her name, especially when they would find one another so lost in each other, tangled up in the warmth of her bed. It was the sweetest sound she had ever heard in her entire life.
Emma had lived nothing but in darkness her entire life. Even after she was adopted by the Swan's, she felt so lost sometimes. Even after punishing those other women that reminded her of the most fucked up part of her life, and after a moment of filling that void that was always there, in the end she still felt alone. Nowadays, ever since Regina fell into her life- her life had been gaining more meaning. More reasons to smile to dream for more. Her nightmares were gone, despite her dark past still being there. Only, it didn't hurt as much anymore.
She wanted this woman for the rest of her life. She wanted to marry her and have her be legally hers. Hell, she would even have kids if that's what Regina wanted. Well… maybe. That was another of her fears she needed to slowly overcome. She honestly never saw herself as a mother, especially after never having one growing up, until Mary Margaret came into her life and saved her, that is. But, even so, to raise a child was a whole different unknown territory for her. She wasn't sure she was ready.
She wanted to enjoy Regina, not have a baby steal all of her attention from her. As harsh as that sounded, it was true. Babies, kids in general, required way too much attention.
Besides, after finding out every detail of her life, and the woman was still by her side and not running for the heels as Emma thought she would- Regina deserved the happiness of marriage and all of Emma's undying love. A woman like Regina Mills wasn't one easy to find, and even Emma knew that well. She wasn't about to lose her to anyone or for anything.
Emma stood from her seat, strolled toward Regina, who was drying her hands now.
Regina gasped, feeling the protective and secure hold of Emma's embrace from behind. To this familiar embrace, she couldn't help but sink into more, rotating her body so that their eyes could meet as she looked up into adoring green ones. Her hands automatically tangled into soft golden hair.
"Are you okay?" Emma asked softly.
"Okay?"
"After what happened with that sleazeball? After what happened yesterday?" she adds, her voice quiet and earnest.
Regina smiles, because nothing warms her heart more than when Emma looks at her like the most precious and valuable thing in the world. "Yes." She whispers.
Emma tightens her hold around the brunette, and Regina feels loved, cherished, and safe all at once. It's a blissful feeling. She hugs her, drawing in her scent, as Emma inhales sharply against the woman's hair, breathing in the scent of her perfume and shampoo mixed into one. They loved each other, without any limits, and possibly breaking her own rules couldn't have made Emma more happier as they do now. She didn't need a red room to be happy with Regina, or rules or punishments… well, maybe the spanking, but just for fun. Never pain. Never again.
God, she loved her. And Regina loved her all the more. It was something more powerful even beyond them that neither of them cared to try and explain to one another.
"You smell heavenly as usual, Gina." Emma murmurs, breaking the silence that surrounded them and placing a kiss against her hair.
"So do you," The brunette whispers, placing a delicate kiss against the blonde's neck.
Emma pulls away, her gaze soft. "I have some work to do, it should only be a couple of hours." Her hand tucks underneath the woman's chin, her thumb brushing against her lips, all the way up to her scar. Her eyes looking down at it adoringly.
"Don't worry about me. I'll find something to do." Regina smiles, kissing Emma once again before the blonde leaves to her study.
Regina wanders through the entire apartment. She's showered and dressed in a pair of sweat pants and t-shirt. Emma's still working. She stumbles upon a room she had never seen before. It's a gym. Emma's gym to be exact, and as she feels free to enter, she gives all of her attention to the weights that are placed against a wall, each on their own rack. A workout ball weight ball, another set of weights. A treadmill and a boxing bag off to another corner. She sees Emma's boxing gloves hanging just over on the wall.
She can't imagine what Robin's face must look like after Emma had punched him. Plus whatever Gold did to him. She almost felt sorry for the bastard.
She still can't imagine Emma ever wanting to fight anyone. She shakes her head once the haunting images of Robin come back to haunt her. She leaves the room and presses on. She opens the door to her bedroom- er- ex-subs' bedroom and looks at the well made bed. This room would be perfect for Daniel now that it was vacant. He certainly will appreciate the view.
She tuns and stands to the door on her left, which is the playroom. Letting her curiosity get the best of her, she tries to door handle. Emma normally keeps it locked, but to her surprise, the door opens. How strange.
Feeling much like a child who wanders into a dark forest, she enters. It's dark. Flicking the lights, the lights start up with a soft glow. It's as she remembers it. Memories of the last time her and Emma found themselves here linger inside her mind. The belt… she flinches at the recollection. Now it hangs innocently along with the rest on a rack by the door. Slowly, she brushes her fingers against the belts, paddles, whips and floggers.
She moves onto the bed, helping herself to a seat against the satin red colored bed sheets. Her fingers and hands caressing along the softness of them. Her eyes land on a rack just before her, hanging by the wall, filled with a row of canes. Surely one was enough?
She stands and walks toward another part of the room where she remembers seeing a great big chested drawer. What does Emma keep in here? She wonders. Well, if she wants me to marry her… Regina may as well know it all by now. Her heart begins pounding as she pulls the first drawer open, and inside it are a row of instruments and bizarre implements of… sex toys. She picks one up, it's in the shape of a bullet and at the end it has a handle. What the hell could this possibly be for? She wonders to herself, taking notice that there are four different sizes of them. One bigger than the next.
As she glances up, she feels a pair of eyes on her. Once her head turns toward the door, she sees Emma standing there with this unreadable expression on her face.
"Hi." She smiles nervously, her eyes wide, and feeling her entire blood drain from her body.
