Jacob POV
After me and Bella took a break, I was crushed I took on the role of Alpha, husband, and protector all while trying to keep up the appearance of a normal teenage boy and failed miserably. I assumed when we took this break she would take her and Julian and stay with Charlie and Rene for a little after sulking for a week I decided to run by there and peak in but when I arrived I phased back and ran into Charlies only to find out that Bella never came there and when I asked the pack they tried to keep it from me but I ordered them to tell me and that's when I found out they used Bella to try and get Edward to remember apparently she spent the night then left. The earth-shattering amount of betrayal and hurt I felt I decided to phase and just run until I could not anymore.
For the next year and a half, I ran through various states living on the land ever now and again checking on Forks and La push I could not stop thinking about Bella how I missed her, and I hated it and my son he was about 5 months last time I saw him and his dimpled smile he would be two soon and it crushed me that I will never get this time back. I was back in forks near the mountain range when I caught a familiar scent one, I hadn't smelled in years I slowly trotted towards it and I saw a woman surround by bushes it couldn't be who I thought it was "YOU DESERVE SO MUCH MORE THAN WHAT I AM OR WHAT I CAN GIVE YOU AND I LOVE YOU! JACOB, PLEASE COME BACK TO ME!" she yelled crumbling into her sobs my heart clenched that cry, that voice, the scent, it was her it was Bella so many emotions ran through me at once I Phased back and went to her slowly uncertain of so many things "Bella" I said starring at her in disbelief she immediately stopped sobbing and rose to her feet "Jacob!" she exclaimed happily trying to hug me I held up my hand to stop her scowling at her " I-I know your mad but I-" she stammered " But nothing …and mad? Try betrayed, shattered, furious… any of those but mad? That wouldn't be how I described it" I fumed is she serious she takes MY son and runs and the LAST person to see her is Cullen she has to do better than that. She stared up and me with her big brown doe eyes she looked different lips a tad fuller, so was her hips her hair was to the middle of her back almost waist length and as full as I remember her complexion a little darker as if she got a tan and she had a small tattoo on her wrist I couldn't quite make out " Jacob I'm so sorry… and I know you need more than that but that is all I can give and give you me fully I-I am more level headed now I should have never snapped at you for making decisions you had to make… I should have been a better mate and less judgmental I will forever feel bad for that but Jacob, I love you with everything in me our son loves you and I will be here forever no matter if you don't want me to every come home again, I will always be here for you I love you … I'm in love with you I'll never leave your side again" she said gazing into my eyes and I believed every word how I craved to hear them sooner she still had some explaining to do " that's all nice and everything but I thought our love was enough to keep you here the first time and it wasn't so what makes this time any different… and another thing what is the deal with spending the night with Cullen and then leaving with no good byes no anything what did you do sleep with him? Her face went completely white and she broke our gaze but never answered "BELLA" I bellowed now enraged she jumped " J-Jake please it was an ac- before she could finish I phased and motioned her to get on my back no matter how angry I was I wasn't going to leave her out here alone she was hesitant but climbed on and I took off she clung to me and kept asking where was I taking her until we began to approach the bloodsuckers home I let her get off of and phased back. "WHERE THE HELL IS EDWARD" I yelled walking into there home before anyone could tell me or asked why I saw him I snatched him up by his shirt and pinned him to the wall "YOU SLEPT WITH MY WIFE?" I SEETHED "JACOB LET HIM GO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT" Leah barked back grabbing the hand that was holding her mate trying to remove him from my grasp "tell her what happened " I sneered "I-IF you let me go I will tell you both but as you know I am not as durable as I once was" he stammered I released him and he rubbed his shirt trying to remove the wrinkles " Now me and Bella never slept together I am assuming from how we awoke she assumed as such and left… she was trying to help me remember for Leah and she was the only one able to jog my memory we also began to drink because she was getting frustrated I got so drunk I spilled the last of the wine on me and in my drunken state I thought take off the clothes I got naked passed out I believe she was trying to pump and dump and took her blouse off as well she went right after me when we awoke she just assumed" he said looking at me with the straightest face I looked back at Bella who began getting rosy with embarrassment and the I looked back at Edward unsure " you think your pack brothers would have heard us going at it and not tried to kill us… well me" he added Seth sitting there with a look of agreement " I apologize I was misinformed" I mumbled he nodded as if to say apology accepted and then without a word I began to leave Bella followed I phased and made my way to see my son.
Bella's POV
Wait I didn't sleep with Edward? I was filled with relief and embarrassment and sorrow... so the baby I had aborted was me and Jacob's and it was hard for me to make that decision but I assumed I had sex with Edward and I didn't want to come home with blow after blow now I have another worry because I don't know how he will take this I thought as we approached Charlie's I hopped off Jacob and he phased back throwing on his clothes going into to Charlie's I trailed behind a little and I heard my little peanut squeal "daddy" I walked in to him hugging our boy who looked so small compared to Jacob's massive size it melted my heart " hey buddy I missed you so much" he said not letting go. After there meet Jacob sat and read a book to Julian, played with all his dinosaurs and tickled him almost to death it began to get late so Jacob got up from where they were sitting with sad eye's "alright buddy… daddy has to go its getting late I'll see you tomorrow" he said hugging him tight " I want to go with daddy" he squealed then they both looked at me " of course" I said without hesitation as much as I wanted to go I knew they needed some bonding time and I know Jacob was still upset with me I packed him two days' worth of clothes his favorite toys and snacks and wrote some tips for Jacob to use I let him take my car as well as these next few days would be use for self-reflection and kissing ass and I didn't mind doing either.
Leah's POV
After that eventful night I was ready to go to sleep and start fresh in the morning, the last year and a half has been peaceful I healed nicely and me and the babies moved into the cottage after they added a room, Edward began to become acquainted with his kids and family the idea of vampires and werewolves didn't freak him out any longer, he was slowly gaining his vampire abilities back or revamping as I like to call it and the triplets are now 1 and a half but they look like they are three maybe four years of age and mentally about six years of age their ageing process is still being studied " thing 1,2,3 its time to brush those beautiful teeth and wash your faces breakfast is waiting for you then off to Esme for home schooling" I yelled placing their plates on the table first one running was Silas crashed into the chair knocking it over along with himself " keep working on it buddy you will get it eventually" I quipped helping him up placing his plate Infront of him he reminded me so much of Embry and Emmett all mixed in one little person " thanks mom" he said before scarfing down his food. Next was Harrison he came and set down went for his cup of blood first then the rest "thank you so much" he said coming around to give me a kiss on the cheek Harrison was so kind he reminded me of his father "Eliza what's the holdup" I yelled she finally came trudging down the stairs "sorry mother after getting ready I had to clean up after the boys …. Can I have a sister now I have suffered enough" she said with a scrunched nose definitely Rosalie with a little Alice in there "right I'll get right on that… now time to go come on you guys time to go to the main house" I said quickly grabbing their bags for them they were excited to see their dad.
As we made it to the house they immediately ran in hugging there dad then to Esme to begin there learning session "hello love" Edward greeted me as I walked in it secretly made me melt we were in a good place it was like we were high school crushes we were as passionate but we were getting there and it made me happy "hello handsome" I responded giving him a hug and he kissed my forehead I can't wait til we are back to us again.
