Sonny's POV
A few months later, school is almost over, YES! Graduation is almost here too! Anyway the boys and I arrived at Frosty Palace to meet up with our girls, the Pink Ladies. Even though Marty is still playing hard to get. But the guys keeps pestering me to find a different chick to be with. I get they're protecting me from being hurt after getting rejected every time…but still! But I love them trying to protect me from getting hurt. They're really the best friend a guy can ask for. I saw Marty at the counter. "Hiya Marty," I greeted. "You lookin' lovely tonight."
Marty turned to me.
"Oh thanks Sonny." She said flatly.
I let out a sigh.
"Listen Marty, I know you may think that all greasers are slimeball, but the T-Birds ain't about that." I told her. "I rather be with a girl with class, like you."
She looks up.
"But you know I would do anything to make you happy." I added.
Then she looks over my shoulder.
"Look there's the gang." She called out.
"Marty…" I started but she walked over to where Doody and Frenchy were. "Unbelievable." I quietly mumbled.
So we all up to Danny and Sandy's table, yay they're back together! Oh man I sure do hope Rizzo don't ruin their relationship again!
"Hey, greetings, pals and gals!" I exclaimed as he, Doody, Marty and Frenchy walked up to their tables.
"Hey, I got 23 cents. Anybody wanna chip in for a Dog-Sled Delight?" I said as I offered to them.
"I don't know where all my money goes." Marty stated. "A dime here, 15 cents there." She adds while throwing down her small purse.
"Yeah, well, in another couple of months, Frenchy here will be able to take us all out. Huh? A working girl with income." Doody explains.
"Hey, that's right." Marty says.
"Well, you know, they don't pay you very much to start off with." Frenchy says.
"Yeah, well, that's still more than we make. So ante up because I don't get my allowance until Friday." I heard Doody said.
I chuckled inside, oh that's Doody for ya! Love the kid!
"What? You get an allowance?" Kenickie asked.
"When I'm a good boy I do." Doody tells him.
I smiled at him.
"Hey Viola!" I yelled. "A dog-sled delights with four spoons!"
"And an Eskimo pie with a knife!" Kenickie also shouts.
"Hiya gang!" Jan greets.
"Hi Jan!" I say.
"Hi Putz!" Doody greets Putzie.
"Hi Jan!" Frenchy smiled.
Viola comes with a tray of polar burgers, cherry soda, and chocolate ice cream. "Here y're. Grab em' and growl."
I heard Rizzo saying, "I have so many hickies, people will think I'm a leper."
And then Kenickie say, "Hey! Cheer up, uh...a hickey from Kenickie is like a hallmark card, only when you care enough to send the very best." Then he chomps on his burgers.
I chuckled at him.
"You pig!" She shouts.
"I love it when you talk dirty..." Kenickie said with a mouth full.
I chuckled again, oh that's my Kenickie!
"My parents to invite you tea on Sunday. You wanna come?" She asked.
Danny looked at us and back to Sandy.
"I don't like tea." He said.
Then Sandy chuckles.
"You don't have to drink tea." She tells him.
"Well I don't like parents." He said.
We let out a small chuckled.
"Oh no, I'm gonna be a senior forever if I don't study for that dumb algebra test tomorrow." I heard Marty stated.
"Hey, you're in luck luscious. You got an armed escort home." I said.
"It's not the arms I'm worried about, Sonny. It's the hands." Marty told me.
"She loves me." I stated.
I walked over to the door to see her gone.
"As usual." I muttered to myself.
I walked up to the counter.
"Hey Vi, one milkshake please." I told her.
She smiled and went to make my milkshake before giving it to me.
"Thanks." I smiled as I gave her a tip.
"Anytime Sonny." She smiled.
I smiled at her.
"And don't worry about her." She tells me.
She was talking about Marty.
"Eh she's just…playing hard to get." I told her.
"Just wait, ok." She said.
"Kay." I said smiling at her.
I walked back up to the gang.
"I have been dieting all day long. My mom's apple pie is better than this stuff. Do you want a piece?" Jan spoke.
I felt Doody took a sip of my milkshake.
"Yeah! Sure!" Putzie smiled as he throw the burger down on the plate.
"Kay!" She smiled as she jumps down and ran off.
"Hey Putz…" I started.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"15 minutes." I repeated the words Putzie said before and he hit my arm angry as Doody and I laughed.
Doody and I jumped off the railing as we went outside.
"Great, now we have to walk because Kenickie wants alone time with Rizzo." I said as I let out a sigh.
"Let's just go home." Doody said.
We were about to cross the street to see Danny and Sandy walking out of Frosty to Danny's car.
"We can ask them for a ride." I grinned.
I'm so glad Sandy gave Danny another chance! He's a great guy!
"No, Sonny." He said, but I was ahead of him.
"Hey lovebirds!" I called out.
We walked to Danny's car.
"Sonny, they're on their date." Doody said to me.
Danny and Sandy chuckled at him.
"What do you boys need?" Danny asked us.
"We need a ride home." I said.
"But if you guys were going somewhere else, we'll just walk." Doody said quickly.
Danny smiled at us.
"Hop in." He said.
"Danny, if you and Sandy wanna be alone we'll just walk." I said. "Beside Sandy should get to know the real you, Danny Zuko the great guy."
I pat his back as Danny smiled at me.
"Thanks Sonny-Boy." He said.
I gave him a warm smile.
"Danny, I don't mind if we just drop them off." Sandy said.
We looked at her in shock.
"Are you sure?" He asked her.
She nods her head.
"Hop in boys." Sandy smiled.
"Alright!" Doody and I said getting in his car.
We put on our seatbelts.
"Where's Marty?" Sandy asked me.
"She's just playing hard to get." I said. "I think I should fall for other chicks."
"Give her time my boy." Danny said as he started his car.
"Sonny, if she can't see a great guy in you, then it's her loss." Sandy said.
"Thanks Sandy." I smiled. "And forget Rizzo, she ain't got nothing on ya. You're one of the kind."
Danny smiled at us.
"You guys are the best." Danny said to us.
We both smiled at him.
"Well duh!" Doody smirked.
We chuckled at him as Danny back up and we drove off.
"Am I'm that awful?" I asked. "Is that's why Marty keeps rejecting me."
We felt awful for him.
"You're awesome Martin," Danny told me. "Don't you ever forget that." Sonny gave him a half-smile.
Danny is the ONLY one can call us fellas by our first real names.
"Thanks Zuk." I quietly said.
Danny puts his thumb up as Doody and I smiled at each other, even more glad that Sandy has given Danny another chance! They're both perfect for each other!
