Act I: Intermission

..

.

The Story Thus Far:

This is the full and relatively detailed version of events that have happened thus far in the main story, it is rather gargantuan in size (And as you will/can see I am quite literal) as I believe this will be the longest intermission (I hope, If anyone has any suggestions to make it shorter I think I will take it) and I ask that you see the Cast of Characters below if you do not require a reminder.

.
A young and impressionable and naive Colovian boy by the name of Ruigus comes to Skyrim under a most tumultuous time in the province.

Supposedly and unbeknownst to Ruigus entirely is that story goes that the most respected and famed Nord by the name of Ulfric Stormcloak approached the High King of Skyrim and challenged him to a duel that he won, most notably, he used the art of Shouts to aid himself.

Nevertheless many do not take it well, a Civil War that splits Skyrim in half, West and East occurs.

Ruigus is caught up in the midst of it the moment he enters Skyrim he is knocked unconscious and captured by the Legion, who mistakes him for one of the many rebels loyal to Ulfric Stormcloak that were soundly defeated in this battle, their leader being among them.

As they are driven to Helgen for a quick and public execution, Ruigus pleads his way out, fervently insisting upon his innocent with so much as one of the Stormcloaks by the name of Ralof vouching for him.

Despite it, he is ended up recognized by none other than the newly promoted Governor-General of Skyrim and his own adoptive uncle, Tullius. He is freed, and decides to watch the execution to see off the poor men, and to get used to Skyrim itself as he waits to talk to Tullius after the business is done.

However loud, incomprehensible roars are heard amongst the skies, trying to hasten the execution, the Imperials are eventually halted, when meteors of pure fire began raining down upon them, leaving them utterly confused and defenseless as a large black and heavily spiked Dragon attacks them. In the midst of it, the Stormcloaks free themselves and take up arms agains the Imperials as they attempt to make an escape.

Ruigus is caught by the Dragon once yet is inexplicably released as he tries to find safety of any sort. He ends up tagging alongside a soldier named Hadvar, who takes him into the town's keep. Arming Ruigus, the pair end up having to defend themselves from Stormcloaks where Ruigus kills his first person. Hadvar quickly comforts him, but survival drives them to move on.

Eventually catching up with a torturer and his assistant, they are joined up by the assistant named Aethan, who was merely posted there for the day. The trio continues and comes across Imperials fighting Stormcloaks, of whom's conclusion there are only two survivors aside from the three, a cocky Archer named Marcus, and a grumpy old soldier named Hans who joins them on their escape.

Proceeding through a cave full of spiders and bears, they eventually make a safe withdrawl, witnessing the black dragon fly off into the far distance. After waiting some moments, Hadvar makes a decision to go to his hometown in mere walking distance from where they are and go about warning as many as they can about all that happened.

Doing so, the five rest for some time at Hadvar's families house, who gives them shelter until they are ready. While the four Imperial soldiers take up the task of making their journey to the city of Solitude to find their general, Ruigus decides he'd go to Whiterun and see about getting reinforcements for the town. As he sets off, the Black Dragon by the name of Alduin whom bears the title of "World Eater" resurrects her one of the greatest and closest to her of their kind, she is nonetheless pleased to find one so quickly.

Ruigus, still realing and with great adrenaline keeping him going, reaches Whiterun in good time, coming to the service of the Jarl; Balgruuf the Greater. Amused and overall grateful by the young Imperial, Balgruuf asks him to do a task belonging to a mage that was coincidentally wishing to study some information about Dragons in a Bleak Falls Barrow, an ancient Nord ruin that overlooks Helgen and Riverwood as they lack the proper manpower to, and on what could be a loose end.

Accepting it without hesitation, Ruigus agrees. And makes a quick return to Riverwood as the night settles, after speaking to a kindly innkeeper by the name of Delphine, he ends up taking a troubled rest. Haunted by the events of the day even further.

The morning after, he checks around the town some more, and hears of a stolen golden claw by a couple merchants who believed they saw the thief run into the barrow agreeing to find it, he continues around the town and finds Hadvar's Uncle, Alvor. Whom explains much to him of current events. Satisfied with the knowledge, Ruigus decides to get to the task, and goes up and into the Barrow. Having to fight Bandits on his way in, for his luck they are terribly organized and are not clearly fighters, but attempted to attack him nonetheless.

Eventually, he finds himself having to free one of them, having been restrained by a terribly large spider. After freeing him, the man turns on Ruigus but is slain by him, and he finds the golden claw.

Coming across a unique sort of door, the young colovian deduces that the symbols on the door are relevant to the claw, considering why it was stolen and brought to the Barrow in the first place.

He aligns it, and proceeds on. Now encountering and fighting through Skyrim's unique sort of undead, the enigmatic and aggressive Draugr as he enters through the ancient ruin's inner sanctum.

He finds what he came for, and sees something strange upon a sort of dragon shine and a word comes to him "Fus", upon exiting is immediately cornered and interrogated by a large red dragon, whom strangely only asks him for questions of the current time period as he scares the weak boy nearly out his own skin by unintentional fear.

He is eventually freed, and makes his journey to Riverwood to return the claw, and then goes on to Whiterun, who has their own major problem. A dragon has razed one of the Kingdom's watchtowers not far from the city itself.

Joining up with a group of Whiterun guardsman and Irileth, Balgruuf's personal bodyguard he goes to try and stop the Dragon along with them, eventually coming across it as it comes for a second round, he is relieved to see that it is far smaller and different than the other two of whom he encountered.

Using great use of cover, he and the guard engage the Dragon as it both tries to strafe from the fly and go about tearing them to pieces on the ground, after taking casualties they are eventually successful.

As the Dragon dies, Ruigus is overtaken by a unique feeling of betterment, a sort of ethereal enhancement to just his own soul and body. Left confused, some of the survivors surmise that he is a Dragonborn, the young colovian being among those that are said to be capable of absorbing Dragon Souls. Subsequently, remembering the strange word from earlier, he uses what is called the "Thu'um" in what is known as a "Shout", all from using the unique language of the Dragons, "Dovahzul".

He is told by Irileth to make a return to Whiterun, and despite what he just learned he is merely thankful to the Divines for ensuring that they almost all lived.

Eventually the thunderous words are heard throughout almost all of Skyrim, the name of which he now understands is meant for him, "Dovahkiin."

At the same time, Alduin who has just resurrected the core members of her once empire, learns the name of the Dragonborn she had met, and listens to Odahviing's gathered report.

Ruigus holds a brief meeting with Balgruuf, who thanks him and tells him to go and go to High Hrothgar, on the "Throat of the World", Tamriel's highest mountain. He also gives Ruigus a home, before bidding the tired and overwhelmed boy farewell.

Crossing into Eastern Skyrim, the Stormcloak side, he eventually makes his way to Riften. And immediately is started off with bad impressions when a Guard to the city attempt to get him to pay for entrance, knowing that such a thing did not occur in even Whiterun, his own skeptical suspicions and raising of his voice discourages them.

He enters, into a slum city of the sorts that is in somewhat of a worse appearance than that of Cyrodil's Bravil. He nonetheless comes across another seemingly corrupt and dark figure, a man who professes himself working among a family with the name "Black-Briar".

Parting quickly, he encounters a pair of people, a Mjoll the Lioness and Aerin, who are more than happy to share their thoughts and facts on the Black-Briars. He thanks the pair for their explanation and leaves.

As he reaches Ivarstead and talking to a Klimmek as he is about to make his way through the "Seven Thousand Steps". Making his way up, he finds the Greybeards awaiting him, merely seeing them as Old Men at first but keeping his own respect, they are quick to teach him more Shouts, to test his and prove his abilities as a Dragonborn. Master Arngeir being the only to speak to the Dragonborn normally out of them.

Upon proving himself, they further explain themselves with, and say that there are more than four of them. Arngeir states that their Grandmaster Paarthunax, a most curious name for any man is at the very summit of the mountain, and subsequently instructs Ruigus to hunt for the "Horn of Jurgen Windcaller", their ancient founder and who's horn is in an old Nord ruin by the name of Ustengrav.
He is quick to depart and make his journey there, proceeding through Whiterun and some old ruins of little importance so as to further get used to his new skills.

Reaching Ustengrav, he clears it of Draugr and rogue mages. He eventually making his way to where the horn is intended to be, only to find it is missing upon a pedestal, replaced by a letter asking him to go the very inn he stayed on his first day in Skyrim over in Riverwood.

He is surprised to learn that the very person who did it was the seeming Innkeeper, Delphine. She leads him into a secret room of the Inn and shows him that she is an enemy of the Thalmor, while unwilling to exactly disclose why she looked for him. She asks that he accompanies her to Kynesgrove as she gives him the horn.

He notices a peculiar sword that she holds about her hip.

Going to Kynesgrove they notice a Dragon flying about, that happens to be the very same that attacked Helgen, with Delphine ready to fight alongside him they charge for it.

However the Black Dragon was not there to attack, but to resurrect one of her own kind. It is also where the Dragon speaks, none too impressed by the Dragonborn but is pleased upon him recognizing her as Alduin, nonetheless she sends the newly resurrected Sahloknir to test him and then flies off. However, bloodlust overcomes Sahloknir and nonetheless is unable to disengage in time, he perishes to the two's efforts and Ruigus absorbs his soul in front of Delphine, who is now utterly convinced.

Alduin, remaining genuinely impressed and now judging off from his behavior and the overall state of the world. Decides to disguise herself, and allows her four close kin to handle her affairs in the long term. In truth, believing it to be better that they are as the majority of her kind in Skyrim are being restored, however far less for reasons that can only be assumed that they traveled as one brings her a suit of ebony armor, she takes it and goes into Tamriel as a Nord once more.

Meanwhile, Delphine further leads Ruigus, and meets the Blades at Sky Haven Temple, their now headquarters.

He finds that they are now numbered to around a little more than a hundred in total, with there only being so many currently at the temple at the current time. And that they support him as an Emperor, believing he does not deserve it, he tells Delphine not to treat him as such. However she believes that he will be in time.

Ironically, she requests that he does a most dangerous mission if he so wishes to hurt the Thalmor as much as he appears to want to, as a test she sends him out to do it, the mission is to infiltrate their embassy and gather as much intel, made easy due to the overall relaxed and arrogant nature they carry among themselves.

On his way he stops by in Falkreath, wanting to take the main road up north to it. However much like with Riften his initial experience is horrible, this time life threatening as he saves a woman from getting stabbed, killing the man trying to knife her to death.

The Guards take no action against him with this having been well in visible sight of them. The woman thanks him vigorously, and asks about the one particular name the man yelled as he pulled his knife out. Something involving the "Forsworn".

She does not know, however after she makes a quick exit, a friendly man walks up to him and quickly hands him a note, trying to appear normal and quickly walks off himself.

Reading the note reveals that he wishes to meet at the city's closed Shrine of Talos, left open to nobody in particular. He also reads the one he snatched from the Forsworn man, the one the Guards didn't seem to care about at all. It was a message telling the now deceased to "strike fear into the heart of the nords".

He meets the strange fellow, whom he thinks is a Nord, but is actually a Breton by the name of Eltrys. He explains the nature and gives a brief history on the Forsworn themselves, bitter Reachmen that were defeated around twenty years ago by none other than Ulfric Stormcloak. The two quickly share that both indeed have lost family to such extreme sorts of ideologies in the hearts of man and mer, but Ruigus complies in helping the man get rid of them, or at the very least put a stop to these attacks that have been going on for years.

With enough time to still wait for the parties that will be going on at the Embassy, he committs as he speaks with the woman he saved who quickly reveals herself. She informs him that she is on here on the authority of General Tullius himself to investigate the family of the Silver-Bloods and a treasury house inside the city. She says that she wanted to get a hold of the deed to their special mine inside the city the "Cidhna mine".

She also believes that Thonar Silver-Blood is behind the attack and both start to make their own, he asks how Tullius is doing. She explains simply that he needs more men, and that he ought to join him.

Walking out, he is immediately halted by a Guard. who's taken a notice to him.

He warns Ruigus to stop, or else something bad will befall him. Ruigus ignores him and continues to the next lead Eltrys had, the dead forsworn's room.

Finding nothing too important in his room he refers to his letter and focuses on the name of the individual who sent it; "N".
Leaving the warrens, Ruigus is once again stopped, this time by a thug like man. Wanting to beat up on Ruigus in a fight that he cannot win, Ruigus merely uses a Shout to send him flying onto the floor, and the Thug gives up, having been injured by it.

Terrified, he reveals he was sent by Nepos the Nose, the "N". He makes a quick report, and Eltrys tells him to move on to the Treasury House as the Imperial agent mentioned and check up on Nepos afterwards.

Taking a direct approach, Ruigus confronts Thonar Silver-Blood at the Treasury House. He is a seemingly heavily pressured man, and opens up without much need for convincing upon hearing the name. He actually remains evasive that is, until his wife is killed right in the front of them. Ruigus is quick to avenge her and slays the Forsworn that did so as Thonar grieves.

He reveals that King Madanach is alive, and is his puppet that resides within the Cidhna mine, and cooperates with Thonar, that is until he now begins to revolt openly against them with this action.

Ruigus yells at him, saying that he should have killed such a man in the first place and leaves to Nepos's house.

He is stopped by two caretakers but is allowed in by Nepos, an aged man and ultimately tired of it all but continues to follow along with him out of pure loyalty and devotion. He tells Ruigus that he would not leave his house alive, his ambush ultimately fails as Nepos and his four Forsworn caretakers are dealt with by him.

Bloodied, he makes his return to Eltrys, amazed and shocked at all that has happened in a single day.

Upon entering the Shrine, he finds him, a family man and father, dead. Before getting a chance to collect his own self Ruigus is ambushed by some of the city guards, and is quickly overwhelmed and taken prisoner, all the meanwhile cursing and damning them as he is gagged and knocked unconcious.

He grieves upon entering a dreamlike state, wishing to never see a man like that die again. He also promises revenge on the Thalmor and Forsworn, enraged.
He awakes in rags, and in a calm state of fury, he searches around of what he knows is Cidhna mine, intending to find a way to kill Madanach. Quick to find himself a shiv, he talks to the Orc that guards the passageway to him and threatens him into letting him through, although the Orc truly just allows him in, amused.

Strolling into his makeshift office, Ruigus is quick to slit the Forsworn King's throat as he insults the Sheo-possesed Dragonborn. He makes a mad dash for the King's secret path, going so far as to run his way through a small spider lair and part of a Dwemer ruin, avoiding the automatons as best he can as he reaches the surface.

He escapes to find Thonar Silver-Blood waiting for him and with all of his things and with an approved pardon. The colovian merely takes his things and leaves, not forgetting a man like him.

..

.

Ruigus makes a stop at Solitude to meet with the Wood Elf contact and is yet again left with another death filled impression. The man who allowed Ulfric Stormcloak to escape after killing the High King is being executed publically. He displays apathy, and an ounce of pity of all that he has seen so far.

He meets Malborn, of whom he was looking for. Who starts off with skepticism towards Ruigus, but comforts him slightly upon seeing his crestfallen state.

Ruigus leaves with him, being a bit late to the party as he arrives, he finds himself conversing with the Thalmor Ambassador quite quickly as she takes it to greeting people in. Surprisingly she seems rather socieable, yet curt and strict individual in somewhat to the contrary of what he suspected, but is barely holding himself together as it is.

He keeps it together as he finds a way to sneak with Malborn who gives him his gear, putting on his armor and covering it over with some Thalmor robes, he moves to walk his way through the restricted areas.

The Embassy is relatively unguarded he finds as he secures more and more intel, he finds dossiers on Delphine, the Blade's Archivist Esbern, and Ulfric Stormcloak. As well as another on that of Dragons, proving that on the very latter, they were just about as informed as anyone. He tries to kill nobody, understanding and learning that the guards here are relatively normal people, contrary to what he expected and conflicting him somewhat.

As he goes to the torture chambers, it appears that Malborn has been found out as he is dragged in by three guards. He is quick to free him, vowing not to let another defenseless man like him die. Knowing that they have been found out, that there is little left that can be gathered, freeing two prisoners as quick as he can. He takes them through a special exit inside the torture chamber, and leads them through a troll cave, clearing it for them.

As they make it out the others part leaving Ruigus and Malborn alone, the latter complaining that all has gone wrong now and that he does not know what to do. Ruigus takes a moment to explain that the Blades can take him in, and he can continue on that way. Malborn seems reluctant, but agrees. The two part, and Ruigus intends on making his way back and to find Tullius.

..

.

As he returns he asks about his way to General Tullius, his name being relatively known and trusted he is told to go the closest keep, upon being approved by some Imperial legionnaires that know of him he is free to walk on in, straight into the General's strategy room.

He awaits respectfully as Legate Rikke and the Governor-General speak to one another, eventually getting his chance. Tullius regards him with equal amounts of warm and cold, and says that if he wants to join then he must be strong enough to take on the Bandit held fort of Hraggstad.

However he arrives to find the Hraggstad already completely cleared after some time journeying. The one who did it still there, a most curious and unique woman with Ebony armor and weapons. Who demands to know who he is, appearing a most beautiful, but brutal woman.

The peculiarly strong woman leaves Ruigus to examine and admire her, with him being amazed, shocked, a bit flustered as she seemingly outright wants to follow him. He finds her especially beautiful, she is able to tell this. And is amused.

She introduces herself as Alavia, and walks with him to Solitude. He notes to himself how weirdly familiar she is.

The pair make their way into Castle dour and Ruigus uses his eloquence to describe went down perfectly as Hadvar and the other three area about and at the General's room they find Rikke and Tullius. Alavia says that she wishes to take the oath as well to join the Legion, they both do it. Ultimately taking the quick version of the actual oath, and are given a new task, a most pressing one with them as soldiers of the legion, Alavia outranking Ruigus by one above him.

Their task is to retrieve the Jagged crown of Skyrim's High King Borgas, having made it all the way back in the 1E, presumably within the time period between years 190-241.

Ruigus finds out that his four fellow survivors have been put into a special squad by the Legate and General Tullius, both trying to emulate Tullius's unique strategy in the Great War and known for it's effectiveness, she plans on bringing multiple of them to get the Crown.

After all receives their orders, a meeting point, and a deadline, they all separate. Alavia sticking to the side of Ruigus, as they make camp and rest for the night, Ruigus falls fastly asleep, hearing the voice of his mother as he drifts off.

The next morning he awakes to her having found food for him and herself, surprised at how much she gathered and even more so at her indifference to eating raw food, Ruigus offers to cook for her. Accepting it without much of a word, she accepts.
As he does so, the two converse. He ends up telling her about his home, and a mention of the Great war, and when he was born. She takes a strangely heavy interest in all, and is surprised to hear of his own father being deceased. And shows a hint of concerns as he talks more and more about him and his mother.

In truth, his Father and his death however is different than from what he knows.

Alavia offers him apologies and upon hearing of his desire to become much like a hero. She bluntly tells him that he cannot do it if he is weak, he takes no offense to it despite his dislike of the idea of strength and weakness being considered such thing on a physical level. Alavia nonetheless compliments him on his cooking, and they then head off.

Back at the Thalmor Embassy the notably different named "Supreme Justicar" of Skyrim speaks to the Ambassador and his Justiciars and tells them their orders, they are to help in smuggling aid to the Stormcloaks upon hearing word of the Dragonborn now joining the Legion, he much tells them to hasten up their rates. And that Ruigus Kessel is to be assassinated by Justiciar Estmoro, Ancano is to go to Cyrodil for an unspecified mission, and Ondolemar is to "find a way to hurt him.", an Ancarion is to investigate Solstheim for special weapons, and Rulindil is told to merely grab more Talos worshipers.

Meanwhile, taking a quick diversion to Sky Haven Temple while they still have time, Alavia takes a most unique interaction with the Blades.

Grabbing the unfortunate Lydia by the throat Alavia interrogates her about the Blades and their current state. In truth, Alduin is most curious about the supposed Order of Dragonhunters and guards of the Emperor, as said by one of her survivors before she took on this journey.

Her shakedown and subsequent further terrifying of Ruigus and the poor Nord recruit, however she proceeds through normally, getting shown around by Esbern, and Ruigus talks with Delphine to further understand how it is they function.

The Blade's Commander explains much to him, and asks what he thinks they should do. Ruigus merely replies that they should focus on hunting the Forsworn down, who've no doubt either become demoralized or even more furious.

He thanks Delphine, who seems all around pleased by the burst in drive from Ruigus. And he leaves with Alavia.

After two days of heavy jogging, they reach the Throat of the World as Ruigus goes to ask them about a Shout Delphine and Esbern had told him of, one that could defeat Dragons easily.

Approaching Arngeir, he acknowledges the Shout, and recognizes his need for the use of it. "Dragonrend" as it is called by Arngeir, but is considered an evil Shout, that will allow terrible things into his heart. Despite that being a potential thing to happen to him, Ruigus passionately states that he can accept it, and can do it so long as it can save the world, even if it cost him his own life.
He is allowed up and hands back the Horn of Jurgen, among one thing that sticks in his mind is the look that Master Arngeir gives Alavia.

He meets Paarthunax upon the summit, who is revealed to be a Dragon. He hears of Ruigus's desire and request, humbled by his respect mixed in with his need. Paarthunax understands the heart of the boy, and the trouble of that his own Sister faces just below them.

Paarthunax asks him why he wants the Shout to which he replies that he wants to save the world, that he loves his home and his family, and those he cannot see to suffer.

Paarthunax goes on to explain to him that he must have a reason for it, to fight Alduin with the Shout. Ruigus replies again with the same, all the while stating why he does not understand why there cannot be peace, realizing even if there is no hope as he so fears. Paarthunax however, does entertain the idea of "Peace" being possible.

Nonetheless Ruigus remains intense as Paarthunax explains Alduin as best he can to him. Saying that she is indeed a goddess, but a self-proclaimed one. The latter part of which flys over Ruigus's head as he thinks on the matter and his true odds. But is ultimately unfazed in his belief.

He also explains that the reason he sits there is because it is where Alduin is banished, not through the direct use of Dragonrend, but with an Elder Scroll through serious tampering and if not outright luck.

Paarthunax says that the only way to learn it is to obtain an Elder Scroll and read it upon the very location they now stand in, while he has no idea where he gives the Dragonborn enough food for thought who thanks the Dragon vigorously and requests to stay with him a bit longer, to learn a few more Shouts. The Dragon merely smiles in response as he agrees.

Eventually Ruigus descends, with a wealth of knowledge as he grows resolved to find the scroll after getting the Crown for Tullius and the Empire.

He and Alavia bicker and bond as they make their way down. Ruigus finds that Alavia takes a strange, if not innocent fun in how she messes around with him. As his opinion of her warps to that of one very special person that must be a sort of punishment meant for him. He is only ever truly offended when he is called "short" by her, he yells in response that they are almost the same height, fighting with her as they move on.

By a stroke of luck, they reach the meet point of Rikke's squads in good time and meet up with the others and prepare for an assault together, as the Stormcloaks have already seized the ruin but have not yet left, being somewhat trapped by the Imperials.

Rikke, upon seeing that they are fully gathered, makes her attack on them. Pushing through to the very end the Imperials fight through Stormcloaks in a bitter and brutal fight, doing their best to make their way to the ruin's throne room, which was not breached by Stormcloaks. The team eventually finds themselves going up against Draugr which they contend with as they proceed to grab the crown. With it in Imperial posession Ruigus is instructed to take it back to Tullius.

Over in the Imperial City, Mede stares out across the Imperial City, a cold feeling was washing over him, he mentions in passing to Commander Maro, the leader of the Oculatus that he wishes for a replacement soon. Maro, being unwilling to accept it, is merely dumbfounded by the Emperor's words.

Ruigus and Alavia make their report upon their return, and hands over the Crown for the Governor-General's future use. Not being the sentimental sort, he quickly gives them their new task as he appears very busy and makes the importance known to them.

Setting off, the pair bicker at each other again, before getting along. Alavia admits that for all of her comments of him being weak was in truth only meant as that of a halftruth, respecting and recognizing the young man's determination, even if he is a bit idiotic and backwards. Their heart to heart remains genuine as the two go about like foolish children, Alavia eventually appears as though she wants to say something special before Ruigus realizes something terrible, crows fly about a small town in the distance and rushes for it. Speeding far ahead of Alavia.

..

.

They find themselves in the destroyed town almost the size of a village by the name of Trunburg, presumably killed by the Thalmor as Ruigus asserts by the lone standing Talos Shrine, that watches over all the dead. He weeps for them, deeply affected and horrified by the loss.

Alduin does her best to comfort him until they both hear the sound of a crying baby, miraculously, the town's only survivor it seems.

Alduin is quick to say that the best caretakers for the survivor would be the Blades, and she helps Ruigus to go back. As night comes Ruigus further is overcome by his own hate of the Thalmor organization, wanting those that torched the town dead for what they did.

Alduin again comforts him and decides to try and distract him somewhat from own rage, and as she thinks of the baby and children she asks him a question related to it, she is pleased by his desire to have as many kids as he wants to as he stresses that his only fear is not being able to love them all enough, she thinks it an admirable thing and is about to say something until she hears a peculiar movement.

The Thalmor tracked them, and Justiciar Estmoro makes his appearance to the pair, with his bodyguards at his side.

A fight quickly erupts between the two groups with their being an almost certainly nigh impossible amount of odds due to the skill and numbers of the Thalmor warriors, Alavia handles the troops as Ruigus focuses down Estmoro, managing to kill the man who did not destroy the town, but only sought him out.

Ruigus collapses from his injuries caused by one of the vengeful soldiers, the last thing he sees as he blacks out is Alavia fighting them. As he enters limbo, he shows fear over seeing her suffer, failing his uncle, not being able to aid the man who welcomed him into his city, and all the lives that would suffer from it all.

He thinks of Alavia one last time, accepting that he loves her and that she is too good to die.

However, it is not yet his end as he hears a strange voice telling him to save the Empire and his home, and also tells him to wake up.

As he does so, he finds Delphine watching over him, glad to see that he is alive. She shows concern for him as he tries to get up, having Charles help her in doing so. As he is able to stand and as he talks with the Grandmaster and Senior Knight-Brother, Alavia rushes in and embraces him. Truly happy to know that he is well, after the two have a short chat the Blades are quick to communicate with Ruigus. The Blades have taken care of things and congratulate him on killing Estmoro and are further pleased to have him giving out suggestions and orders as he stands among them, injured but still continuing, and make plans on their expansion, however Ruigus asks Esbern if he knows where he could find knowledge of an Elder Scroll, Esbern is saddened to tell him that he could only find out at Winterhold. Unfazed, Ruigus thanks him and the Blades, and leaves with haste, planning to move to his next objective.

..

.

While he is still in pain as they move, he tells Alduin what he saw and heard, and she tells him that normally he should have died and grows increasingly concerned as to who or what may have intervened to save him. He has no clue who it could be in the slightest, if he wasn't hallucinating in the first place that is, he also tells her that they should go to Whiterun first to help them out, letting the Elder Scroll become second in priority.

She once again asks why he wants to save everyone so badly, a question she herself does not fully understand why she asks but he responds in that he wishes for them to see a better tomorrow and end their suffering. A naive, yet poignant answer to her. She thinks more about what he says, and then promises to not let death befall him.

As he sleeps, Alduin asks herself why she feels the emotions she could never feel once before, in a land with a someone who dreams of a world that is not full of strife and who has taken much in the way of suffering himself, in a parallel and contrast to what she once saw before thousands of years ago.

The pair arrives in Whiterun to deliver the missive to Balgruuf, all too happy to see his young star once again, he reads over the note. And is left in a truly hard spot, discussing with his advisors in front of the pair, he decides to side with the Imperials and asks Ruigus to deliver an axe of his to Ulfric.

Ruigus agrees, and is leaving when Alavia tells him that she cannot follow as to aid in fortifying the city, something she figures that she must do in order to "save lives" as he would put, she feels his sadness as she embraces him and sees him off as he goes to meet with the Blades in Winterhold.

..

.

Reaching the College of Magic in Winterhold without much of an issue, he proves himself as a Dragonborn and enters on in. Talking to an Orc that much takes him as a fool but helps him out nonetheless, Ruigus ends up following the trail of a Septimus Signus, a known master on the matters of Elder Scrolls.

He leaves to make his way and sees that the Blades have caught up. Field Knights Florin, Charles, and Lydia accompany him as he attempts to find him and hopefully an Elder Scroll.

Following the Orc's advice, they end up finding him. Unfortunately his mental state is left into great question, however they end up learning that the Scroll they are looking for is under a "Tower of Mzark" over in the Kingdom of Dawnstar and they are given the tool they needed by the man. They also know that they have to enter the large underground of "Blackreach" in order to find it.

As they go into the Dwemer ruin to make their way to it, they encounter many automatons and rogues, showing teamwork as they cut through even the mighty Dwemer centurions, the team of four reaches their way into Blackreach after encountering Falmer, the subterranean and feral "Elves" once known as the Snow Elves.

They journey across Blackreach, amazed by the sights of what appears to be a little underground continent that they walk among. They eventually end up finding a tower that holds what they came there for, the Elder Scroll.

They eventually retrieve it after struggling with the Dwemer puzzle. As they make a quick exit with the Scroll now in Ruigus's hands he tells his Blades that he is going to Windhelm, the Blades inform him that Ulfric is gathering an army, and that they have noticed many animals that they are currently gathering as well, doubtful that most would see use soon. Upon entering Windhelm, and doing his darned best to conceal the scroll and his own self the Dragonborn manages to gain audience with Ulfric.

Ulfric is both amused and disappointed in Balgruuf, and informs Ruigus that they will find themselves under attack. Confident in his own self but also seemingly resolute as the Dragonborn mentions the Thalmor he laughs at Ruigus, calling him a fool for believing that he would not attack them, seemingly when he wins the war. However, the Dragonborn does not see it in the same light and leaves in a fury, fully determined to defend the city with his life as he watches the Stormcloaks prepare.

Ruigus rushes his way back, having to only stop due to his own fatigue and nightfall, as he dreams he is talked to by some figures again in his sleep, one says that her daughter loves him, the other says that it will take more than skill to win, the latters voice he feels he recognizes.

He awakes the next morning, having been gifted a special horse, and with the armor and equipment to make him look like a Breton Knight. He is most thankful and driven and his will to win becomes burning.

Alduin meanwhile waits as the Jarl speaks with the Imperials as the two groups talk with no uncertain terms as to their thoughts of each other. However none are willing to abandon the other as their preparations and defenses are complete and discover that their rushed-in garrison is going to be sieged down by over 9,000 Stormcloaks.

Ruigus and Alavia share a brief reunion, before they rush to the front.

A fierce defense begins as the Stormcloaks show themselves well prepared for attacking city as they launch wave after wave at the defenders, whom are outnumbered to a near 10-1 ratio.

The defense lasts for hours, as Legate Rikke, Ruigus, Alduin, Marcus, Hans, Aethan, and Hadvar work together in holding the front, seeing to it that it is not breached for a long time, they eventually are forced to fall back to the Drawbridge.

After some time, there is a brief moment of peace. Allowing the defenders a short time to recover. As night comes Ruigus and Alavia find themselves resting together as they speak about what happened since then as they enter Ruigus's previously unused house as gifted to him by Balgruuf. The pair rests peacefully as they can.

Alduin is caught in a "dream" by her "Mother", Mara. Who is there to see her daughter, and to encourage to be honest with herself. Alduin does not forget what she or her father did to her, but is surprised by Mara's neutrality and if not outright support to her desires.

She awakes to see Ruigus among a people that are hopeless, and left heavily demoralized with even Legate Rikke, the stern beacon of the Nord legions, hopeless.

Ruigus, in an act of what starts as near suicide, refuses to allow them to lose hope in victory, and nonetheless prepares to make his own charge, despite being reasonably called mad Ruigus rationalizes it by saying that all heroes had to go through much suffering and horrendus odds to win, whether it was the Oblivion Crisis or the first Akaviri invasion of Tamriel.

His words remain poignant to some, and Rikke takes it as a chance, a hopeless one, but a chance to do serious damage to the Stormcloak, and gives the order to the troops to follow along.
Meanwhile, Imperial reinforcements rush their way to Whiterun, a single Imperial commander by the name of Casius leads a group of 400 to aid the defense, he is a strikingly angry and impassioned man as he much insults his own men in a fashion similar to that of commanders of his time.

The battle rages as Ruigus harasses the Stormcloak backline and Alduin and the other Imperials fight from the front, the fight intensifies as it becomes a disorganized slog with reinforcements for both sides joining the fray, eventually as the Stormcloaks reassess, they decide to retreat completely with the arrival of General Tullius's unit.

The chaotic, and decisive battle ends with the Imperials calling victory. Ruigus made a hero by his Uncle and the legate and those whom he led, and Alavia along with him. Celebrations begin as the pair and all the troops are praised for their efforts and seemingly excellent victory.

Night eventually comes after the Jarl and Governor-General thank, and award the pair for their actions, night eventually comes across a proud and lively city.

The pair become known as the "Two saints of Whiterun" for their deeds, the praise being mostly directed at the young Imperial.

Hadvar and his squad drink with the pair, before parting for the night.
Alduin watches over Ruigus, deciding to confess and show him her affection in the only straight forward manner that she knows.

..

.

By morning, Ruigus awakens to find Alduin fully revealing herself as she so puts it, and he becomes fully aware of all that happened, and how she feels about him. He reciprocates it as Alduin in her ecstatic mood, makes love to him, cementing their bond as she calls him whatever nickname comes along, feeling a long curse of loneliness and regret broken.

As they continue for hours, Ruigus grows assured that Alduin is all too serious in what she says, being the first time she's ever seen anyone like him the way she does.

Eventually coming to a stop, the two talk and agree that they should follow the path they are on for now, as Ruigus stands for the mortals, and Alduin for her dragons.

It is something that both ultimately recognize, will be figured out as they go along. However they hold clear and known high hopes, Alduin more-so than Ruigus, who is left to only ponder as they move on.

The two then are leave to be greeted by their four friends, who've come to tell them that Tullius needs them.

..

.

Tullius is quick to promote them, and tells that they are now deemed fit to lead men into battle, a mere 500 is assigned to them as the General quickly takes the initiative against the Stormcloaks by setting an offensive against the Kingdom of Dawnstar, aiming for a direct punch to the city. They part soon after, one of the reinforcing commanders from the day before halts Ruigus, and tells him to keep

Given a few days before they are fully committed to the war, Ruigus decides to return the Scroll to Paarthunax with a reluctant Alduin, who is not willing to fight her brother, but is only willing to forgive him to that extent as it happens, however Paarthunax is left pleased, with a genuine surprise at the development, he wishes his sister and him the best as Ruigus leaves the scroll with her brother.

Parting, Alduin takes Ruigus to Skuldafn to meet her four close kin by the names of Faaskunven, Wuthdeinkinbok, Odahviing, and Lokyolkriaan. The introductions are well, and they all show an interest and respect in the respectful Dragonborn whom is enlightened by them, reuniting with the very dragon that interrogated him at the start of his journey.

He wishes to work with them sometime in the future, and bids them farewell as Alduin becomes rather fussed with a particular sentence from the mischievous Faaskunven, who drives her to another moment of intimacy with him in private.

After some time in a little paradise, the pair returns to Whiterun on their path to the camp that they are supposed to meet Rikke to get their troops.

Ruigus grows horrified as he finds that yet not everyone was buried, seeing those that he had killed and fought alongside not yet recovered and left to rot, the image haunts him as they ride on.

Coming across a Stormcloak village, they do some subterfeuge, Ruigus plans on starting a fire to distract and make the rebels paranoid as they sneak along. However, they are stopped by a gathering of Mudcrabs who impede them as an agent of the Blade's comes along to assist them.

After encountering and defeating a Stormcloak patrol, they continue their aggressive investigation of the village and manage to free an imprisoned Imperial Captain by the name of D'lliers and his men who come to join them.

The Blades agent is wise to stay away, and leaves a note for Ruigus and Alduin to know that they will keep an eye out for them.

With a band of reequipped and angry soldiers in tow, they continue their journey with their new captain and reach the Imperial encampment.

Upon entering the main tent the pair is greeted by an old teacher of Ruigus, Rupert Secantius there as a liaison for Tullius, and as somewhat of a servant while he introduces himself. He hand Ruigus a locket from his mother, it shows his mother and father. A reminder of his home after some troublesome weeks and months.

After parting, Ruigus grows somewhat depressed as he looks at the picture of his father and mother, he asks Alduin as they warm up why she did what she did at Helgen. She replies, full of genuine regret of what she did out of the pure rage of her defeat from the Nords, something that had stuck with her as she traveled through time.

She shows sadness, and Ruigus understands, not unsure of how to properly respond to it with eloquence. He merely replies that they should just talk about it some other time.

They head to meeting that Rikke is holding, upon entering they are greeted by a table full of officers, a different sights from before even with Tullius as proved by the amount of men lying around in the camp.

Rikke confirms Tullius's plan and states to each of the commanders gathered where and what their units will be doing. Ruigus and Alduin will be leading their unit with the added forces of Captain Hilvette to attack Fort Dunstad, an important location to the south of the Kingdom's capital.

After the terms and logistics are made clear, the meeting ends. With Hadvar's gang of four assigned to them as makeshift bodyguards, they take the time to talk for the moment about themselves. Ruigus is dully reminded from the loss of Aethan's own family that Maven Black-Briar and her family are a most corrupt and criminal people.

Alduin takes Ruigus sometime after to an isolated area she is familiar with. This time truly wanting to teach him through a sort of meditation to help him in his willpower and magical skills and Thu'um.

Tullius in the meanwhile greets the two Legates that will be dispatched to aid in the siege of Dawnstar Oskar von Fromm and Pius Corvus. The former comes from a stationing in High Rock with around 8,000 troops that he's bringing and giving 4,000 to Pius, whom was in the battle of Whiterun. The two wish the General well as they make their departure.

In the Thalmor Embassy, a Serdan Permaer speaks with Ambassador Elenwen in the middle of her prayers as he brings a report.

The location of many artifacts and curiosities have been found all across Skyrim, and that the Eye of Magnus is found close to Winterhold, she quickly informs him of what is believed to happen soon, and tells him to gather their available Justiciars inside the Embassy.

He gathers them as Ancarion and Valmir engage in small talk with their favorite Captain as they alert the other Justiciars. Upon having gathered, Elenwen gives them their orders.

Ancarion is to continue the weapon studying from Solstheim, Valmir is to kill a Dragon Priest, Rulindil is to secure the Eye of Magnus, with a lot of guards, and that Ancano will come to him in order to escort it out, the plan relying mainly on the chaos that will be caused by the Imperial push. Ondolemar is noticeably gone.

As it concludes Serdan expresses concern over the danger that the Dragonborn poses with Elenwen stating that he is no longer a direct threat, their current concerns being more important. As it ends, Serdan leaves with Valmir and Ancarion following him, continuing their small talk from before.

Ruigus is unsure if it worked as he and Alduin speak over the matter after some rest, the pair talk more over matters of magic and mysticism amongst their own intimate conversations. Ruigus is left much to think over and ponder by the end of it all, realizing the pair's own childishness.

..

.

Waking up, Ruigus and Alduin talk about her four kin laughing with each other over the details she shares. And then make a plan to split up and encircle the Fort as he figures at some point in their attack. As they eventually part, he muses how he will protect and rule over the world with her, as best he can.

As they return to the Imperial camp they find that their own men and women are well prepared, and Alduin prepares for the unit to march.

Serdan Permaer is woken up by Jonan Enac, his page who brings a cup of coffee for them both. The two talk as Serdan reminisces, wishing he had tried to become a teacher instead. As the two talk, Serdan's Lieutenant Neldor Bryna knocks on his door, upon entering he is quick to ask for Enac's special cider and as the boy makes it, he speaks to Serdan on the matter of the Justiciars all apparently leaving on their missions for once. And more importantly, of unrest on the Summerset Isle, talking ill of their Eagle King's government, Serdan thinks of his friend, Pyrder Yesnan.

..

.

Fully assembled, The Dragonborn and World Eater discuss the current formation of their army as they are about to engage an enemy force in their way. Alduin is to lead the army as Ruigus fights them on his horse, "Trun".

Giving an effective enough speech, Ruigus leads the men onwards, against a more disorganized and ineffective force of Stormcloak townguards that were merely defending this settlement, he is quick to be joined by a Breton Lieutenant and his group of Cavalry.

Cario Idwal introduces himself to the Dragonborn, aiding him greatly as they go about defeating sallying defenders as the two cover each other, Ruigus learns more about how a man like Cario and his small group of horsemen work as they and the rest of their army secures an easy victory. The Dragonborn displays some pity and sadness upon seeing the defeated Stormcloaks, and begs that the survivors are freed, to which is agreed by Alduin.

Proud of their trivial and successful battle the army celebrates in the re-captured settlement. The army is given some rest the husband and wife team take up rest in the abandoned manor of the settlement's mayor. Unwisely deciding to take some alcohol after the day's events, he tells Alduin about the events that happened to him Markarth, the event gnawing at him even now. And his failure to save a father.

Alduin sees a bright spark in his heart of justice, and is left captivated by it as she too believes in his straightforward path of "honest force", one that would attempt to be clean as much as possible.

As the two sleep, the four of Hadvar's squad play cards and talk with each other about their current situation, curious to know of the future after the war ends, unsure of what will happen with the young Dragonborn and an ambitious woman for a commander.

Not far away from them, a Captain Rolf von Kober finds his posting with Legate Cassius's army dreadful, going off into what he believes to be a trap. Believing him to die, the captain makes his own plans for an escape as they proceed further and further into the forests. He looks up into the sky, staring quietly at the stars.

..

.

Malborn, who had been with them over the last two days as the Blade's Liasion and a servant, wakes up the pair. Who thank him and begin to meet their awaiting troop leaders.

They discuss how to best approach their next target, and discuss plans to split off and use Kindlepitch barrels to blow up the walls and to use their light naval cannon that they received as their siege weapon. A messenger from Rikke interrupts, and throws the plan to blow up the walls and push in into failure, as the Elder Council sent specific instructions as to not blow up the walls.

Frustration boils among the officers, but the plan will go as it was said and into two groups they separate.

Ruigus enjoys a memory of he and Alduin's as they march, finding themselves close to the "Tower of Mzark" where they can make a rest for the night. He is pleased upon speaking with Marcus and a soldier named Cocus that the men can handle themselves as he goes inside.

Ruigus ponders over the Blades who might just be in there as he brings Malborn with him. The two find the Blades quickly, with Lydia and an Arfast Battle-Born to greet them. They tell him that they are merely here to clear it after some small talk, and takes him to their leader.

Captain Rolf von Kober finds himself and his Commander's army in a trap, parts of their mainly Nord army turning against them as they are left in a panic. Knowing full well of where to retreat without losing much, Kober directs the men under his command to escape. Leaving Cassius to die as he yells at him and fights his final last stand, the survivor of the Great War meets his end along with all his army save for Kober's group. Who only reflects on that revenge can only be achieved if one survives to see it through.

Lydia hands Ruigus over to Florin, who makes his report. The Blades have found much, schematics of weapons, tools, items, and maps. Ruigus is much pleased and interested, and offers his aid in clearing a camp of Falmer on a Dwemer compound. Despite Florin's assurance it is handled, Ruigus presses and is allowed to join.

As they enter, they find people much like zombies, slaves to the Falmer as so it seems. As they cut their way through them and fully exterminating this pocket, they hear a Dragon's roar.

A most mighty appearing Dragon by the name of Vulthuryol informs that he is the one who made the two groups his slaves, and states that he shall eat the soul of Ruigus and conquer the world afterwards.

A tense fight breaks as the 10 Blades at Ruigus's side fights it as best they can. Lydia remains by him as they defeat him. But Vulthuryol wishes to speak before he passes, he states that he no longer wished to be a sheep of Alduin, and wanted to go for his own dream, that of which many mortals did too.

Before giving his life, Vulthuryol is satisfied at the answer Ruigus gives him, knowing that a successor to great ambition and will is within him, he dies with pride as a warrior and dragon with honor.

Lydia remains speechless alongside the Dragonborn after the affair is over. He is thankful to the Blades for having aided him in slaying the Dragon who are left to explore the area as he leaves, returning to his soldiers above.

He returns to a most peculiar Captain among his forces.

Kober joins Ruigus and informs him of all that happened, and that he was followed by a small force of the army that had killed Cassius and his men. During their conversation, Kober senses the suspicion inside his fellow Colovian and states that "I am not your enemy."

Ruigus is quick to have his men prepare for battle, after having just fought a Dragon himself, and the ambition of a warrior driving him to the next battle.

Cario hands Ruigus a spyglass as he looks over the enemy army, he takes a keen notice to again just how purposefully disorganized some of their formations are, as though it is some new tactic that they are merely trying out.

As Rolf explains that the full army was heading towards Whiterun to which alarms the Kessel boy but Hadvar comforts Ruigus on the matter, saying that Tullius would have the city's defense handled. A messenger approaches him, one saying that a Rorster Orc-Hilt wishes to duel the Imperial commander. Hadvar offers to take up his position but Ruigus refuses, stating himself as the Dragonborn and that if Rorster wishes to modify the circumstances or merely battle, he is free to.

Hadvar offers him up some dueling advice and explains that Rorster is a former Imperial soldier, as Ruigus fully realizes what he is getting himself into. Nonetheless, he continues along with the duel, meeting Rorster.

He asks why it is that he fights for the Stormcloaks and the captain replies that the Empire is a fleeting and dying thing, while Skyrim will become a strong nation on it's own and is surprised that a Colovian and man of Stendarr would not rebel along with him.

The two begin their duel. The Captain full knows well of what Ruigus is capable of in Shouts yet only knows of Tullius's own training with him as a child as part of the Dragonborn's reputation.

Insults from both sides come as the two analyze the other, and begin to attack the other. The Nord shows utter respect in his fight with him, and Ruigus thinks about the events that lead to a day like this between the Empire, Dominion, and Skyrim itself.

He comes to respect Rorster as he defeats him, granting him his two last wishes, his free men, and his own death. Nigh unable to, he cries as he ends the man's life, who thanks him for being sent to the lands of Shor.

..

.

Dragons fly after the duel's conclusion as they head to Fort Dawnstar, Alduin's "reinforcements".

Alduin speaks to Secantius and is left pondering her own self and her own future after talking with him over a couple matters, as she prepares to siege the fort.

Ruigus's group is thankfully still fresh, and they prepare to siege the Fort down themselves, deciding to stick with the plan to use the explosive barrels, Ruigus decides to attack now and goes along with a team of sappers to blow up a section of the wall. Cario is with him as they avoid volley after volley of arrows and bolts, getting the barrels to the wall but the man with the torch is hit.

With his only cover being from Cario and his crossbow, Ruigus makes a mad dash to the torch while using his own Shouts to protect himself, he quickly heals the injured sapper and takes the torch to the powder and watches as it begins to spark it's way to the barrels, grabbing and taking the sapper, he makes it to cover in time to see the biggest explosion of his life.

The entire section of the wall is gone, leaving his forces to charge in as Alduin reinforces.

As the battle ends, Ruigus followed along by Hadvar, Marcus, and Cario find the Stormcloak fort commander dead, not wanting to have risked information upon his own death. Disturbed, Ruigus asks Cario how he can handle it all, Cario merely replies that a man like him is something of nature and aptitude. As Ruigus leaves them to investigate the three talk among each other.

When Marcus mentions how he should take it easy, and Hadvar says that he has a sensitive soul, Cario merely replies that a Colovian like him would not have had a pleasant life after the "Battle of the Gold Road."

Ruigus finds Alduin awaiting him as he steps out, fully knowing of the new soul within him, and asks that gets full rest. However, they are stopped by Rolf who gives Alduin a most negative feeling, he reports that an enemy army of around 900 is approaching, and that they will have to defend against them.

As the strategy and tactics are set, the battle begins with the Stormcloak attack as the Imperial captains do their best to hold, the battle intensifies as a fierce melee happens upon where Ruigus is as he finds the enemy commander to be none other than Ralof. The two are happy to see each other, despite having to fight.

Hadvar interrupts, trying to talk to his old friend, but the two's differences have grown immense in the paths they have walked. For the pair it turns into a bloody fist fight that ends when Ruigus pokes his sword at Ralof's neck, causing him to stop as he wonders why he is not yet killed by the either of them.

Ruigus merely allows him to be free, and Ralof calls for a retreat of his men.

Victorious but badly bloodied, the Imperials stick to their new fort.

As Alduin takes Ruigus to sleep, she tells him a certain story about Orkey, herself. And a man known as Ysmir Wulfharth.

It leaves an interesting and thought provoking story on Alduin's own power among the other questions it raised to the man as he falls asleep. Alduin would find herself dreaming of a Black Moon.

The next day Cario brings a message from Rikke stating that she is pleased nonetheless with their report, and that they have taken the fort too quickly so they would have to wait for reinforcements for two days.

The next day Alduin and Ruigus hold a private meeting with Kober. Whom speaks in words of treachery for the safety of his own self from the Elder Council, he will live if he serves directly under the pair of them especially after the death of the Cassius and having abandoned him. He states that he hates the Elder Council, and that he understands that the pair before him is the one who can bring vengeance against the Elder Council that abandoned his family during the Great War and the Dominion itself, the pair ends up agreeing, taking the man who has strange connections with the Penitus Oculatus under his wing.

..

.

After he leaves, Ruigus talks of his own home in Cyrodil, somewhat moved by the man's story as he expresses his desire for her to see it as well. The two end up speaking how they've come to where they are now. And wonder what it is that they wish to create of the new world that they aim for.

As the two grow bored, over the next day Alduin reveals to Ruigus that she had a great battle over here, the very one that assured her dominance over Skyrim.

The same night, his dream becomes something as an out of body experience as he sees things through the perspective of a sort of spellsword, whom speaks of Alduin as she conquers Skyrim. In one of her battles he comes to aid her, believing her to be the one that will finally unite the entire land with her dragons and followers as they crush their final foe.

As the Dragon Cult finishes off the resistance, Alduin comes to recognize the Spellsword, her full ruthlessness and dread on display as he joins her, with his new name becoming Vahlok.

As he awakes Ruigus remembers the strange dream as though it is all a part of his permanent memories, Alduin knows of this as well, and tells Ruigus that he will see more, a seeming result of their meditation together.

Eventually, their reinforcements arrive with Oskar coming to aid them, who bears good word and his own 4,000 with him. It appears that Rikke has already sieged the Western part of the city, and they are to push in from the South.

Being quite quick to advance in after two days of rest, they join the attack on the city as chaotic urban combat takes place within the capital.

The fight takes Ruigus, Cario and Hadvar's group through street to street as they gain progress and join lines with Rikke's force, whom has a special order for them. Brina Merilis is to be installed as the new Jarl, and that she is to be protected until the end of the siege. Hadvar's group is dispatched as the rest are to advance as normal and apprehend the current Stormcloak Jarl, Skald the Elder.

The attack is successful as they eventually take the heart of the city and the Jarl's Hall. Upon entering it, they discover that the Jarl merely replaced himself with a double to assassinate Ruigus as he escapes.

Quick to recover, Ruigus and his four followers attempt to chase him, only to find it is an impossible thing as the Stormcloak navy comes to the Jarl's rescue, extracting him out of there and doing some light damage to the Imperials who declare their great victory.

As the celebrations continue on account of the good Jarl Bryna through the night, a Black moon appears over all of Tamriel, particularly darkening the land of Skyrim.

All across, seemingly many cliques of vampires and necromancers and other sorts of undead make their attacks all across the weakened land. Dawnstar comes under the threat of large bat like creatures and thousands of undead as the Imperials go around forming a desperate defense as they wake up as many as they can as even civilians are forced to fight. They struggle to get a grip of the situation despite Rikke's best efforts to keep coordination until a group of priests and a peculiar mage inform them that the attacking Undead have a certain leader and simultaneously joins the defense.

It is soon recognizes that the apparent Vampires are using Gargoyles against them, leaving evidence of a strong clan as other sorts of created beasts appear, in the meantime that the Colovian Champion fights the lead Vampire, which transforms into a monster.

It is his hardest foe thus far, and Ruigus only survives from the aid of his allies and the mage. Wounded but quickly realizing the Vampires all came from the direction of a Vigilant's Hall, he brashly decides to go there, finding only a handful of survivors initially as he goes across the destroyed refugee camp, full of the dead on both parties as it seems the Vampires are still around.

Proceeding into the Hall of Vigilants and killing the last five vampires that plan on killing the survivors, he finds along with his companions that he has simply Shouted too much, leaving himself mute for some time.

Keeper Carcette of the Vigilants is saved and thanks them as the mage Joan Amevenne introduces herself, giving her name to the Dragonborn as well in the same moment.

The night ends not long afterwards, the survivors find themselves waking up to a peaceful morning, and Ruigus is given a new order to find General Tullius personally.

He is quick to depart attempting to locate his Uncle, on his lonesome as he goes at full speed, only stopping to check up on the garrisoned Fort Dunstad as he moves on.

Alduin holds a meeting with her surviving officers and is surprised to see that Hilvette and D'lliers are alive, despite having not been in her contact throughout the night. She is saluted by them, the instrumental Kober who brought great aid to the city, and the newly promoted Captain Cario. Who make their reports.

Kober states that any Vampires that could be around have already left with their own spoils, and says that there is nothing they could do, outraging the other officers but they each conclude that there is nothing useful they can do at the current time. The meeting ends and Alduin starts her new one with Hadvar's group.

The reason why many were not able to wake last night and part of the reason why the city fell so easily to the Imperials in the first place was that apparently by the words of a Priest a curse of Vaermina had been placed upon the city. They are to go with the priest of mara and remove the curse.

Ruigus is able to find Tullius, who is in good shape as he takes his army to meet a Stormcloak emissary, for a ceasefire and deal. He joins his Uncle, as he stays at his side as he makes the ceasefire with Galmar Stone-Fist, Ulfric's best General.

As it ends with a somewhat disappointing "gain" for the Imperials but remains a success nonetheless, Tullius tells Ruigus that the Emperor requested that he returns to Cyrodil to meet him personally. Ruigus intially refuses, stating that he should be helping his Uncle hold in the northern lands and that he will not abandon him.

Tullius reassures that he has things in Skyrim handled until he returns, saying that whatever he brings will save them. He states that he will not refuse this order, and tells him to take a letter to Rikke and Alavia. Ruigus agrees, but is left saddened by his leaving of him.

He rides back, leaving Tullius to fortify the land as he awaits.

..

.

Hadvar's group meets with the priest by the name of Erandur. Who goes on to explain what they will face inside the tower the curse is in, telling them to be wary of a gas that lies within.

Clearing it through bit by bit as they protect the Priest, they find themselves rushing before the gas can take them as Erandur talks more with them, knowing peculiarly how to remove the barriers and opening paths through the tower as they fight Orcs and Cultists under the effect of the Gas.

Upon drinking a special Torpor, Marcus sees the past as he runs his way through as one of the Cultists, scared as he is defenseless as the two sides fight and tear at each other as he makes his way to what is the last barrier and disables it. It is quickly revealed as they step in that the memories he saw were that of Erandur, as two of his once fellow cultists, Verek and Thorek stop them.
They show anger to Erandur as he tells them he became a priest of mara, and will not allow him to destroy the Skull that the curse has as it's vessel. Upon killing the two fanatics, Vaermina speaks and pins the four legionaries against the ground, speaking to Erandur.

Refusing to kill any of them or let anyone else suffer, Erandur sacrifices his soul to Vaermine, to end the curse. The four are freed, Vaermina's influence now gone as they take the body of the Priest of Mara with them, honored by his sacrifice and not willing to ever forget it.

Ruigus returns to Alduin, informing her of all that was discussed with Ruigus. His down demeanor is somewhat turned positive as she expresses another bout of wonder to see his homeland.

Talking to Rikke before they leave, they make their preparations to march to Cyrodil and Alduin congratulates the four who return, thanking them and recognizes the sacrifice of the Priest as she internally rages at Vaermina.

They begin their journey home, eventually stopping at Riverwood as Hadvar talks to his family and Ruigus goes to an arranged meeting in the old inn, clarifying his movements with Delphine.

Hadvar promises to come back and do his best for them as Ruigus and Alduin speak of some intrigue that the Dominion is up to, as well as the rest of the current Blade report.

As they head off, Ruigus further speaks of his moment with Tullius, and goes to explain more about his Uncle. Who was under a certain Colovian man known as "The Great Warlord" of Colovia during the Great War, of whom's position he ended up taking over eventually due to an unmentioned reason. He further explains more about Cyrodil itself, getting Alduin captivated by the history of the land as he describes it.

As they reach Helgen, the very place the two had originally met under a most terrible circumstance, they rest together, meeting the Brumans who seek to resettle Helgen with the people of Riverwood on behalf of the Colovian Estates.

Ruigus has a talk with an Estate Baron by the name of Nesterov "Nicobulus" Gregoriy, whom recognizes him right away. The two talk over some things as Ruigus ask about his homeland. The Baron shares some dissatisfaction over the current state of things and at home, being polite and honest with his younger countryman.

The two thank each other and part, leaving him to return to Alduin. As they mingle with some Brumans, whom speak in Colovian and in Tamrielic, as a man plays a sad and soft tune of his own homeland, made in remembrance to their version of the Great War. Leaning into Alduin he falls asleep on Alduin's shoulder, internally thankful for her gentleness and ability to move on as he does the same.

Ruigus would see yet another vision of Vahlok's past.

..

.

Going into Cyrodil they are welcomed immediately by Legionnaires and Heartlander state soldiers alike as they make their way down to the Imperial City, deciding to leave the Army in the hands of their capable Captains as they split off meet the Emperor in time before they disappoint him.

They proceed through and enjoy their way through the noticeably happier looking land despite the current state of the land itself, already enjoying Cyrodil itself as they rush through, they make it to the Imperial City in record time. Still noticing the plethora of differences and comparisons between the two lands in just atmosphere, people, land, and history.

What confuses Alduin is the mere shape, scale, and complexity of the Imperial city as he she learns it houses perhaps more than a million people as Ruigus tells her about the districts and rings of the city itself, being traversal within days if walking.

As they reach the center of the city, the grand, mysterious, and iconic "White-Gold Tower" they are allowed in by the Penitus Oculatus as they handle the security for the Emperor. The Penitus Oculatus appear relaxed until two figures approach that speak to the pair.

A masked, city official appearing man and another with the most piercing gaze Ruigus has seen on any man aside from Alduin. Whom both go to the Emperor to tell them that they are there, leaving a strange impression on the two as they part. Curiously the masked man appears the most kindly, and soft spoken one.

Eventually, an agent of the Oculatus leads them to their room to speak with their Commander Maro before they can meet the Emperor. The Commander shows himself as a welcoming man as he leads them as Ruigus internally remarks how a man like him is in charge of the second most feared organization in Tamriel.

Alduin and the Colovian sit with the Emperor, who presents himself as a most complicated, if not troubled man. He starts with annoyance by their bowing, and he goes to talk about how during the Great War that he thought the Empire would die, despite all the efforts of those on his side. He appears to lament about the war, and states his own thoughts on the state of the Empire and Dominion in a resigned manner.

Ruigus, who takes heart to his own sadness, says that he believes in him. Much to the surprise of the Emperor who hoped that the pair would kill him right then and there.

Prepared for this outcome, Emperor Titus Mede II tells them that he wishes them to do something, to help represent the Empire as a part of a Civilian Force that will be a part of the people re-forming the Dawnguard. He also makes a request that they protect his dearest pupil. As part of his services, the only reward Mede can give to them is a Tiber-Era inspired powder pistol.

Furthermore, he has it so that the two join and watch over the Assembly. Having Commander Maro and High Chancellor Amaund Motierre teach them some things about the proceedings.

In private, Mede expresses his own disappointment to the barely collected Amaund, whom can hardly bare with the Emperor's suicidal thoughts and tendencies. Mede nonetheless places his faith into his pupil, Luics to take the reigns of the Empire.

Ruigus and Alduin as they are seated by Maro are confused about the whole meeting with the Emperor. But when the assembly begins, Ruigus is left shocked by the matter that the assembly is over.

The continued presence of Imperials in Skyrim. As a councilor Aquila bashes the Imperial Legion's efforts in there with his words, however is left somewhat countered by the efforts of Mede's pupil Lucis and by the current Warlord of Colovia, Detlev von Sondheim.

The two sides argue for some time as those who want to pull out and let Skyrim fall and those who wish to defend make a compromise as proposed by the Warlord as the argument heats.

In favor of the Warlord's compromise, they would send a great amount of resources continually from the start and would lessen as time would go on, leaving loyalist Skyrim to stand on it's own feet for once.

The meeting ends, as Ruigus and Alduin meet the man whom they are to protect. The person with the fierce, determined gaze from before, Lucis Caesar followed by his friend and seeming Steward, Rosario Vinceti. The former shows no fear in berating both Ruigus and his adoptive Uncle, but Rosario shows gentlemanly behavior as he explains his friend. They are given a week to enjoy themselves before they return to Skyrim.

..

.

As night falls, the Kessel man tells Alduin that they will find his Cousin's house, and rest there. That of his Cousin, Seraphine Sanctus and his Cousin-in-law, Isidorus Sanctus.

After being directed to their house by a heartlander state guard, Ruigus knocks to be greeted by Seraphine, whom is quick to embrace him and allows them inside, yammering at the two as she happily meets Alduin and welcomes her cousin as her husband comes to see the pair.

Telling them of all that they've done, after reminiscence and reminders, they welcome them to stay. Alduin gets the impression of the few family that Ruigus has left, they are very loving and caring people as well as an emotional pair.

The next day as his Cousin's accommodate them, Ruigus and Alduin take a temporary leave to get the rest of their award from Commander Maro whom congratulates them. He also goes to a mentioned shooting range to test out Mede's award in the form of the powder pistol, having an Alessian legion officer teaches him how to. It proves to be a potent and interesting weapon, if not a bit awkward to use in a fight.

As they return to Isidorus's mansion they are given some books meant for Alduin, and Isidorus tells Ruigus that an old friend of his, Florian, has died and was buried in Kvatch. Another reason for him to go home. They spend some time with them before they eventually decide to leave, with Alduin not wanting to forget them. Before they left, Isidorus hands Ruigus the two amulets his father and biological uncle once wore, the amulets of the moons "Masser" and "Secunda".

As the World Eater and Dragonborn leave, Lucis and Rosario are mulling about in thought as they are approached by a young girl of seventeen years. She wears very fancy armor upon her with a helmet with the word "Love" spelled on it. She eventually ends up convincing the rather reluctant Lucis and the understanding Rosario with her begging as a Spellsword. As Lucis and Rosario accept the young Maelia Bestia, they continue on their walk as she continues to annoy the former.

Traveling to Kvatch they meet more Colovian speaking people, whom don't seem to want to talk in Tamrielic as they keep a selectively hostile presence to Alduin until Ruigus explains her, and their behaviors change.

They reach the city not long, although as Alduin finds it is more of a Fortress-City than anything with a total of three heavy fortifications in the form of two keeps and a castle. Passing through the streets Ruigus noticeably grows more and more comfortable as he goes on, explaining more about the city until they reach his house.

Feeling nervous, Ruigus knocks to see his Mother there. As she notices all of the changes her son has gone through in his own appearance, how he holds himself, and his own eyes.

..

.

Hildeguard is the happiest she has been in a while to see her son and Alduin, the latter of whom she grows a quick bond with and leads to Alduin feeling as though she has a family. Eventually, Ruigus goes to visit his dead friend, taking his mother's flowers with him as he goes. His mother cries as the pair leaves her.

Placing the white lilacs at his grave Ruigus lies next to his gravestone as he mourns in silence. He says his final goodbye, and leaves him. Returning to his mother, he goes to sleep.

Alduin talks to Hildeguard and learns more about her and her son and shares that she does not want him to worry about her anymore.

The day after, Ruigus goes to a meeting he was supposed to have with the Warlord, having been given the letter to after saying goodbye to Florian. Having to go alone he leaves Alduin with his mother, leaving the two to talk even more as it is something they both enjoy.

He is greeted into the Warlord's Kvatchian manor, being brought up to meet the Warlord he notices that the man surrounds himself with some rough figures. As Detlev so plainly states, he hides nothing from Ruigus as he asks him to merely spy on his adoptive Uncle and Lucis and he says that he'll help out Ruigus against the Council whom he is not afraid to call backwards. Furthermore, he states that Tullius; or Reinhard rather is a man stuck in the past that only knows war, and that he will not have a future with him or the "brat" of the Emperor.

Ruigus declines, willfully making a full enemy of the Warlord as he leaves. Detlev is left heavily disappoted and talks down to him as he leaves, stating his offer is still standing as he makes an enemy of himself. His guard warns Ruigus to get out of the city before something bad happens to him. Ruigus is wise, but is ambushed on his way home as the Warlord talks to his retainer on the matter, before letting him go to watch the fight.

Fighting his way through five of the Warlord's bruisers, he ends up having to run away in fear of more coming as an old friend Reinhard's aids him.

Hugo Koegel, a once strategist to Reinhard whom drew the infamous Colovian defense lines happened to be around, taking a quick visit to the city before he got caught up with the young fool. Going so much as to tell him of his plans as the Dragonborn poses questions to dashing traveling strategist as he escorts him back home.

He returns home to his mother and Alduin whom notice his own injuries right away as he says that things went wrong and that he'll go to Reinhard's Estate to go meet up with his wife and see how she was, they understand, and are left at home as he leaves.

Alduin takes up Colovian lessons from Hildeguard as she enjoys tea for the first time.

..

.

As he reaches a Bar to stop and rest for a few moments before he continues, Ruigus meets an interesting Breton named Sam Guevenne, an interesting man of a traveler and drinker. He raises up his spirits a little as he buys Ruigus a drink and makes comforting small talk with him. As Ruigus leaves, Sanguine is left most amused as the Colovian rides off.

On his way to the Estate, he encounters the Estate's President who shows interest in him and his Shouts as he is off on a hunt trip. He too also shares a distaste for the Warlord and shares that he is sending one of the Colovian Royal Guard's best Gunter Sturnhell, the first man to storm the Imperial City as his initial reputation goes. With that being the final detail he shares before saying that he wants him to wait no longer President Chistof Balabanov takes his leaves, the young Estate President is left with a positive expression upon his meeting with the Southerner.

Reaching Reinhard's and by extension his Estate, Ruigus is greeted by an old Guardian who's named Helmut, the moment he meets him Helmut merely cries that he failed him and attempts to commit suicide for his own failure to see Ruigus through to Skyrim in safety. Sieghard stops the devoted family retainer from his act, and takes the moment to tell him that nobody could ever replace him, as they reconcile, Helmut leads him to Elizabeth.

..

.

Hildeguard reveals to Alduin that she was visited by a Thalmor agent by the name of Ondolemar who only asked her a few irrelevant questions before he left, but seemingly just wanted to see what kind of person that his mother was. She tells Alduin to never tell Ruigus about it.

Regardless, she says she was happy to see her son in the time that he could be there.

Ruigus enters the Manor to see the great painting of Elizabeth's father, Siegward Berlin and remarks with Helmut about the battle of Whiterun, merely replying to his old retainer that he didn't do as well as what was claimed. He feels strange as he looks over the painting and walks with the man that are both relics of a past age, wondering what it was that drove them back then.

As he parts with Helmut and enters Elizabeth's hall when she becomes available, somewhat to his expectation she is not pleased with his choices of joining the Legion and seemingly even less so with his status as a Dragonborn yet, she allows him to take what he needs on his way back to Skyrim and sends for a letter to his home to have Alduin come to them.

Ruigus asks how Elizabeths and Reinhard's son is before she departs, and he thanks her for doing all of this for him.

Going to the smith and requesting a new weapon after his old sword had broken against the transformed vampire, Ruigus decides on a Halberd for his new weapon, wanting to try something new for all the big monsters and abominations he saw back in Dawnstar. The Blacksmith states it can be completed in a day as he has no pressing orders and will think of a charge tomorrow, leaving Ruigus to go to sleep.

In the Imperial City Malborn finished his report to the Blades, of whom had sent four to be around them. He is shocked by the sudden appearance of Captain Kober in the dead of night, having followed the Wood Elf entirely. Who asks to meet with the Blades. However, a Blade is already there to speak to him, unfazed by the woman's threats Kober tells her of a Synod expedition to a Dwemer ruin named "Mzulft" that will undoubtedly be chased down by Thalmor agents who share an interest in the location. The woman ends up departing, with Kober escorting Malborn back.

Alduin awakes to see that a newspaper man has arrived at the Kessel household, never once having ever seen one before she mulls over it with an amused and delighted Hildeguard. However, he had also delivered them Elizabeth's letter, and thus bringing the end of the two's time together as family for the moment.

Over in Sky Haven Temple Charles and Esbern are speaking of the current crisis, until Knight-Sister Rayloru comes in to inform them that Alduin's wall has changed. As they enter to viewf it, they find that all the panels have changed and turned to that of a new prophecy it seems to be. Left with many questions, Esbern is left to study once more.

Ruigus takes it upon himself to go the training grounds to train with his new type of weapon, by picking out a spear as he goes off to practice. He thinks of trying to spar with Alduin when she gets their to test it out properly. As he waits his thoughts trail as he recalls a vision of Vahlok's where he unmistakably saw the Divines either in part of fully orchestrate the fall of Alduin's empire in essentials, supporting the Nords and directly it seemed and not the tale of it just being Kyne/Kynareth taking pity upon them. His thoughts turn elsewhere eventually as he suspects much of what happened back then.

He ends up recalling an old memory of him and Reinhard training, as they hold a strong moment as Reinhard imparts one saying to him left by one who "Was a scary man." not exactly being his words. What he did truly say to Ruigus was the man's saying: "Be fierce and passionate as a fire, be swift and terrifying as lightning, relentless and calm as rain, and be unbreakable and unyielding as a wall." Tullius speaks no more of him stating that speaking of the dead does not sit well with him.

The memory ends, and Ruigus gets quickly used to polearm type weapons as Alduin arrives. Helmut who is there to greet her, believes her to be a spy or thug of the Warlord until she states her name and relation. He changes moods and believes her instantly upon her saying that. He allows her in and shows her the path to Sieghard.

The two end up getting right into it, with Ruigus judging best how to use his weapon as he tests out with the wooden spear against her wooden greatsword, he becomes overtly logical in his study of how the weapon behaves and preforms with his own movements and only notices when Alduin states that he is on edge. The duel eventually ends in somewhat of a draw, the two having "killed" each other.

Before they could start again Helmut comes with a courier to hand the pair letters from Tullius and the Estate President. Reading Christof's letter first he makes a particular question of what Dragons are like, he asks how Ruigus is and wishes him well as an ending, mentioning that his man Gunter wants to meet him.

Meanwhile in Tullius's letter he gives full blueprints for a supposed keep that is supposed to be built near that of the Dawnguard castle. He further states that it's construction is paramount and that any other keep will be a detriment, and if it comes under question Ruigus and Alduin must state that the plan was submitted by Hugo Koegel. With a last note being that Elizabeth will be granting him one last gift.

There happens to be another letter from Tullius attached for Alduin. Stating that she will handle the military side of things with the Dawnguard and that Lucis will handle anything in the matter of public, he states however that if Lucis tries to undermine her authority that she merely remind him that she is a commander of the Empire.

Soon after some talk Helmut comes and requests for the pair to meet with Lady Elizabeth. Going to meet her they bow to her as she states that she will give Ruigus the armor of Reinhard's father: Isebrand who has been long deceased. She also berates Alduin, disappointed that Ruigus would be with a woman whom is a warrior, as she states that war claims all loved ones and in the case of Elizabeth, it is very true.

Alduin does her best to remain respectful, but Elizabeth bids her to begone. Leaving her hall, an excitable Helmut changes the mood by mentioning the armor, speaking of how it is now Ruigus's turn to wear it.

As the Colovian boy is taken to be fit for it, Helmut and Alduin discuss the peculiar flag with a bloody dot in the center of it, Helmut describes that it has the blood of the Great Warlord's dead brother, Wolf "Ruigus" Berlin. And he describes the battle of which he died in, before he begins to despair as the painful memories of all the loss that happened back then flood into him, he further despairs at what he feels what has become a world without the fires of the one before, a soulless one. He eventually catches himself in his own horror, and apologizes.

Alduin feels full sympathy, feeling the pain of the man and that of which the household bears, and thinks of Vahlok in comparison to the man before her, whom was fervently loyal to his masters that never made it home.

Ruigus emerges, wearing the Akaviri like armor of the Colovian lords and the Colovian Royal Guard as Helmut admires his appearance before heading back to Estate's gates, the pair moves onto the Blacksmith for his new weapon who is more than happy to give Ruigus his weapon so long as he lives, and does not join the thousands of others of orders whom he had worked for who would never return for another, having fallen in combat. Ruigus promises that he will not join them, and accepts his weapon.

As they make their leave Elizabeth watches them from inside the manor. She whispers Sieghard's name and a tear falls from her as she watches the two leave.

As they reach a road and begin to bicker, an Airship flies overhead as they make their way back, on the basis of a joke the two rush forwards; trying to beat it in a race.

Upon finding Lucis and Rosario in what was once the Imperial Arena, they inform the opposing pair that they are ready to make their leave. Before they do anything, Rosario and Lucis pose an interesting question about the land they have yet to visit, they ask if Skyrim is a backwards nation.

The answer boils down to a yes, there are many differences and conflicts on the fault of both sides that have had hurt the development of the land with concepts such as "Imperialization" and the Imperial and Nordic pantheon clashes being among the driving forces of resistance that have even helped cause Ulfric's rebellion. With both parties left with much to think about, they decide to waste time no longer and finally make their march to Fort Dawnguard.

..

.
As the fools leave, Her Excellency Praxeloria Salvol the Grand and sole Field Marshall of the Empire and great daughter of the Great General Jonna reads a report from a source known as the "Owl" in a room full of ten others that a certain someone has divulged certain plans to her. Her Excellency is both amused and pleased with the information, surprised that the "Eagle" would share this with her.

Surprised that the "Eagle" is not kicking the Empire while it is down she supposes that the current situation in Skyrim demands as such, Her Excellency's own advisor-generals laugh at the possibility of the "Empire's Miracle Worker" turning things around once more with Monsters this time. And that Lucis the blonde brat is to go join the efforts of the Dawnguard Order up north as well. They joke that if he survives, he will no longer be insufferable.

Her Excellency, whom is a truly loyal and noble woman of the Empire, states that they should not disrespect the choice of their Emperor and his heir, as such gossip is disgusting behavior for those above all in the Empire.

Her Excellency goes on to say that her time in a place known as "Kynenoshel" was wonderful, and that the recent developments are quite massive and powerful for the Empire. And she is entirely convinced that should the Divines ever so abandon their holy Empire, they have the strength to oppose such abandonment, and that even the Daedra would be as pathetic as they should be against the Empire's true might.

However such knowledge of the Empire's true might is not meant for savages, as it would be beyond their imaginations and understanding. Speaking of, the matter turns to that of the Dragonborn, whom's record is now in Her Excellency's hands. Her Excellency turns her gaze to that of their "guest" a kindly, apathetic man who stares off miles upon miles at nothing as he listens to them, all the while wearing the clothes of an Altmer.

For a Colovian man, he seems rather out of place in such clothes, however it is no matter. As he is sent to aid in helping with another group of Vampires, his skills being among the best of who sent him. The Volkihars as Her Excellency's great friend, Lanerus Motohira suspects, is at an obvious aquatic location that possibly could never be to the north of Solitude, never! However, savage people such as Tullius still have yet to figure it out. As Her Excellency mentions the name, their Guest grows discomforted.

The man from the city of Southpoint, which so happens to be full of Colovians, makes her wonder how close he actually is to his fellow Colovians of the Empire, and Her Excellency is quick to comfort that not all born abroad their homelands are without their sense of true country.

And finally as the last of this explanation our glorious Field Marshall states to him and her advisors that Fate and Destiny will find themselves destroyed.

Cast of Characters:
The Imperials:

.

The men and women of Cyrodil, Skyrim, Morrowind, that carry the flames of the dying Empire of Tamriel, as exacerbated and shown after the Conclusion of the "Great War" a world changing conflict that was between the lands of the Empire and that of the Aldmeri Dominion in a war that lasted for five, bloody years in ways of war that were never, or widely conceived for all the hundreds of years in it's existence.

With the White Gold Concordat peace deal signed between the two Empires, the Empire of Tamriel abandoned Hammerfell, and now in the present day contends with the Skyrim Civil War, twenty years after pure reconstruction after the Great War. In their current state, they can only hold on to what is fleetingly so little.

The splits between the four lands increases internally and externally, the Dunmer of Morrowind are forced to guard against the emergent Argonians of the An-Xileel faction who mannaged to occupy most of Southern Morrowind before being forced largely back in the year 4E 6, and have skirmished since. However with the current situation, there are those that believe the Argonian faction and Dunmer factions are gearing up for an equal exchange of conflict.

Skyrim is already in a deep civil war between what is ultimately the West and East, with the two having different beliefs and doctrines at the core of problems between the Nords. One who believes in solidarity with the Empire and the other who believes that they should be free to decide their own future, with a ban on Talos being a driving divide between the two perspectives. Additionally, they are now beset by the recent uprising of multiple necromancer cults and Vampire vestiges.

High Rock remains the most stable land, having not been directly affected by any sort of devastation or uprising. However, there is a growing number of opportunists who seek to take advantage of the struggles of the Domnion, the Empire, and their fellow Breton kingdoms. The situation has yet to develop, if at all.

Cyrodil itself has experienced a full recovery by it's most gilded appearance. It's true, ever festering wounds are in that of the people. Who in a time of their own suffering are starting to grow more and more militant across the three great states of Colovia, The Heartlands, and Nibenay. Of whom have their own issues, Colovia has many of those who follow the Nordic Pantheon in the north, none too pleased with the Concordat itself or as to the Imperialization of Skyrim. The Heartlands grows unrest from among the heaviest concentrations of Thalmor investigations due to it's own starkly high amount of population. Nibenay remains the most stable, but has called three Legions to guard it's borders against the An-Xileel Argonians of Blackmarsh of whom their King has heard reports of a possible invasion.

Their people are beset by issues on all fronts, and their own people show deep rooted and staunch ideals.

..

.

Sieghard "Ruigus" Kessel:

.

The Colovian protagonist, he comes to Skyrim in search of his own self, to create his own life as it is on his own skills among other wishes. However the search goes quickly awry, instead a new path is both thrusted and trusted into his very soul. As a Dragonborn, he works to aid a bleeding land, and to help an old relative of his own in the form of Reinhard. As he suffers, struggles, and ultimately succeeds thus far. He continues to form a bond with the former dragon god of the nords, Alduin. Whom forms a sudden relationship with him none too long into their troublesome times together, he slowly grows in his knowledge, beliefs and his own fondness of her the more the pair interact, despite all, he believes that she can do something great for all of their known world and he wishes to find his own place in it, whatever it may be. Thus he has become a much more serious man as time goes on, deciding to joke not as often and choosing his words much more as he encounters those of great standing.

He shows some brashness and airheadedness mixed with a surprising slight of tact, a kind but struggling heart, a mind that constantly finds itself in circles and wonderment of all new that is happening, of the truth of some scenarios. He seeks to make a better world, but feels an ultimate vengeance against the likes of the Aldmeri Dominion and their Thalmor, who claimed the life of his father and many of those close to him in blood, and in memory as told by all those who he grew up with. The friends he makes also feeds into the belief, as all that has happened is seen as an indirect consequence.

He starts off as a rightly minded man but ultimately foolishly young and foolhardy with a singularly tracked method of going through his issues. His overall time in Skyrim but especially with the likes of Alduin and Reinhard have led him to make his own changes, and those in the legion, his foes, and what he sees in the past, present, and future, the souls of dragons and the memories of all further make him grow and mature as man as a warrior, and as a colovian.

Born just days after the death of his father and the end of the war, he grew up along with all the generation of Cyrodilians that suffered due to it. He recognizes that his own suffering is not unique, but it is suffering nonetheless, he holds a father figure in his adoptive Uncle Reinhard, whom he is fiercely loyal to.

His Imperial name "Ruigus" comes from a deceased Colovian lord, the brother of Colovia's third greatest unifier and warlord: Wolf "Ruigus" von Berlin, known for his unwavering support of his brother and his overall skills as a second in command to all those he fought alongside.

There are those that believe young Sieghard carries this torch belonging to him and many others of the deceased with him.

Dark and shortly haired with light brown eyes, he is still considered handsome but as well as many other imperials, none too physically impressive. He can grow a very fierce if not truly intimidating expression when it comes to bouts of anger or battle despite the relative soft features he still has. Ruigus has grown slightly taller through either maturing or through supernatural means as he now has the height of a proper Nord a common thing for a Colovian, as well he has become much more muscular than before, where he was once relatively lanky. He wears two medallions around his neck currently, one of the moon Masser, and that of the other moon Secunda.

Reinhard "Tullius" Drach:

.

Reinhard was born to a great lord of Kvatch by the name of Isidorus alongside the Kessel brothers, Mars and Alwin. Born of the generation that would overtake the start of the great lords and warriors of Colovia under the great family of the Berlin. Serving his father and Warlord with distinction he ended up being betrothed to the Great Lord Siegward Berlin's only daughter, Elizabeth. He ends up with a happy relationship under happy times up until the start of a war encompassing nearly the whole of Tamriel under the side of his Warlord under the Empire. For the two generations of warriors all goes well until a great series of tragedies strikes their Kingdom.

He ends up taking the role of Warlord during the mid-late war period of what is now called "The Great War" displaying fantastic feats of service in his sole defense of his homeland for the sake of it and the Empire he becomes widely known as "The Empire's Miracle Worker" and for instance going so far as to have an entire line of Tiber Era defenses known as "Trenches" constructed across the entirety of Colovia in his most drastic attempt to stop the forces of the Thalmor from overtaking the entire land of Cyrodil.

For uncertain reasons after the war's conclusion he gave up his position and handed it the now current Warlord, he ends up taking the oath of the Imperial Legion and comes into the service of the Emperor as a General some years after.

With the start of the Skyrim Civil War only twenty years after the Great War, he is promoted to Governor-General, and currently works mainly alone to handle the war with the Stormcloaks, in the start of it, it all went to his favor with the quick capture of the rebellion's leader, however, a black dragon ruined the planned execution. Leading to light casualties but the ultimate escape of the rebel's leader, Ulfric Stormcloak.

He eventually enters his own adoptive nephew into his army after knowing of his status as a Dragonborn, something he could never expect but a most useful trait to have, and a better person to have on his side, despite his own misgivings of Ruigus's lack of experience.

Strangely, he promotes the Nordic woman Alavia of whom to a high rank despite knowing next to nothing about her, a practice he appears to do with all promising Nord soldiers.

His second in command Rikke has had little say in his military actions, but reminds Tullius of his cultural mistakes. As a man of Colovian mindset he comes into conflict with the seemingly simple, yet demanding customs and ways of the Nords that of which he does not want to bother with.

Upon the attack of the Undead all across Skyrim, he brokers a quick peace treaty with the Stormcloaks as he attempts to re-consolidate defenses, it was considered a challenge for him by the likes of Elder Council and fellow Imperial officers for him squaring off against the prominent Ulfric and his devoted followers, and now he must contend with monsters potentially everywhere.

The Miracle worker of the Empire finds himself in yet another spiral.

In Sieghard whom he has watched over since the day he was born, he has grown a strong attachment to. Reinhard has taught him much of what he knows now, that of the world, of combat, of how to live his life. Yet, he could not stay all that long in his life.

Sieghard changed over time as he was taught by those close to the Kessel family, and he grew too occupied doing the work of the Emperor personally.

He is unsure now that if he had truly wanted the son of one of his best friends to go to war or if he should have done better for him not to go down this path.

However, it seemed that fate begged otherwise, despite his dreams.

Beginning to age into his mid fourties, the blonde haired and blue eyed fox has seen his some strands of his hair start to turn near whiteness, and the hair begin to grow on his face. In these times he holds a very cold, un-emotive expression upon him most of the time that begets an aura of near dread and stoicism. Yet, every once in a while, he grows somewhat of a most mischievous expression as he plans, he particularly lights up around his adoptive nephew. Overall, he carries a pressured being.

Lucis Caesar:

.
The Pupil of Emperor Titus Mede II.

Through all of his childhood since the day Mede took in his own self Lucis has had himself willingly embroiled in Imperial politics and shows great passion and labor for it whether or not there are those that appreciate his presence.

As a Heartlander, but more importantly one so close to the Emperor himself he appears to embody the modern aura of the Imperial court and council itself, he is arrogant and above all others but simultaneously is not afraid of working alongside those in lesser positions to him. He takes a unique stance and position among the more militarily or politically minded men and women of both the Legion and Government itself in that he sees himself as the one who operates as a Civilian, and sees many of the issues within the dying Empire as such.

He naturally comes into conflict with many of the Imperial politicians and has no trouble criticizing military men for their actions, this has led him to a reputation of that of a difficult man and feels no shame for it. His best friend is sometimes left to apologize or speak on his behalf as he is often not clear to many.

The last breath of a dying empire.

He has what many who look at him say a rather statuesque-ly handsome countenance. Dirtily blonde with long hair and is hazel eyed with green predominance, he retains a piercing look in his very eyes which begets his overall intense air. He typically wears extravagant yet elegant appearing Imperial clothing with a small cape as he shows himself off as that of a "Civilian" official.

Rosario Vinceti:

.
Born in Nibenay Rosario has always followed alongside his best friend Lucis upon his journeys and struggles among the Imperial court ever since what seems to be childhood. How the two have had met originally is unknown but they share a unique closeness of friendship.

Whenever it is that Lucis obviously is unreasonable Rosario often speaks up for apologies and sucinct explanations as he both takes the softer approach whilst also reinforcing what his own friend gets across, they are both of the same dream and vision for their Empire.

He comes across and acts as a kind man only marred by the creepy appearance of his clothed mask, he reinforces himself with a rather friendly expression and body language, exaggerating himself in classic Niben fashion, who are a very animated people overall.

Rosario seemingly loves to speak of things and is very well informed and knowledgeable, whenever he does speak, he speaks in a near otherword like; calming voice.

Despite appearances, he is a very strong individual.

As mentioned, very strangely does he wear a clothed mask, hiding all but his light blue eyes some of his forehead, he has a very lean figure, appearing delicate and lithe.

Titus Mede II:

The Tamrielic Empire's current Emperor, born in the year of 4E 150 he had since led the Empire as of year 168. He has held somewhat of a warm seat throughout his life, the rule of the Empire as Emperor starting from that of Attrebus Mede has become it's most apparently weakened. As of the only notable part of his known rule so far, the Great War was mostly left out of his own hands, and in that of two Field Marshalls that were appointed by the Elder Council during the time period, Mede is known as a weak leader in part of this, despite his own efforts to aid his people.

He has fallen into an unmistakable and severe depression since then, one mood he's held for over twenty years, he still attempts his best at his role.

He retains a close trust in the current Head Councillor, Amaund Motierre. Entrusting him to a special duty. Adittionally he appears to be on well enough terms with the head of the Penitus Oculatus, Commander Maro who despite his position is ultimately bewildered by the Emperor's behavior.

It is said that he treats his pupil Lucis Caesar much like a son, despite having family of his own.

Mede's back has long given out with the weight of the Empire.

He almost entirely bald, and holds a long, silvery beard with him. His gaze has long dwindled and grown dark in spirit. He expresses tiredness and stress in his eyes.

Rikke:

.
A stoic Nord woman, and Tullius's second in command for the duration of the Skyrim Civil War currently. Twenty-one years ago she was a lance corporal during the Great War under the same unit as Ulfric Stormcloak and Galmar-Stonefist. She served in the Heartlands and in Eastern Colovia when deployed during the mid war period.

Since it's end she enjoyed a peaceful life in Skyrim, up until the days that led to the death of High King Torygg and the subsequent rebellion, she quickly takes up a position in the local legion as a Legate and as Tullius's closest advisor in the war. Outdoing even the woman whom the Imperial Government props up, Lady Elisif of Solitude.

She has yet to speak of her last name, it is only Tullius that knows of it.

Rikke shows a fear of death but nonetheless remains resolute and brave. She as any Nord has much to lose in this war.

She is in her late thirties and retains a steeled air around herself. She is not entirely beautiful nor truly yet to start aging in the slightest.

Cario Idwal:

.
A fiery breton-cyrodilic born young man, he ends up forcing his way into Tullius's Legion a couple months after the start of the Skyrim Civil War under the command of Legate Rikke who comes quickly into contact with Ruigus and Alduin upon their subsequent promotion and new order to seize Dawnstar as he is eventually placed under their command temporarily where he shows great personal recklessness that somewhat translates to his command.

Nearly from the moment they meet, he gets well along with Ruigus in their small time of battles and rest together. He ends up departing with a tinge of reluctance at the prospect of becoming the General of a reestablished legion, Legio XXXXXI Deathsheads; a legion once known for being comprised of almost entirely Orcs before it's total destruction during the Great War in Hammerfell. Nevertheless the young noble has spent much of his money trying to resurrect it and reform it in his own style.

Notably, he has a distaste for those who keep secrets or cannot put things into plain terms, this leads him into a dislike towards Rolf Kober.

His passion and skill will take him far.

He has orange-like hair and holds a handsome countenance and form for a Breton, he has an air of confidence and optimism among his spirit. He remains a sensitive and emotive man.

Rolf Kober:

.
A mysterious and emotionless man with a dreadful presence. He is an orphan of a family in Skingrad, of whom's defense was ultimately abandoned during the Great War in favor of the Imperial City, thus leading to what he says is a grudge against those particularly in the Elder Council.

He has a low opinion of those who he considers that waste their lives uselessly, believing that one's survival to be more important. He simultaneously appears to disregard life in the same thought process. He is blunt in his opinions but remains at a relative eloquence in his matter of fact manner.

He holds seemingly deep connections and contacts within the Penitus Oculatus, of whom he obtains vital information from. How he managed to form such a dealing is unknown but he appears to go behind others and inform other like minded groups and individuals of an opportunities that they report.

He appears to keep his own many a secret.

Kober is an average man, however it is his overall unchanging expression that appears as though he looks down on one on a level of worth, as those who come into contact with him can describe. Stone cold, more-so than even the fiercest Colovian or Nord warrior.

.

Oskar Fromm:

.

A Colovian in the service of Tullius's Legions as a Legate. Originally having been displeased with his stationing in the leased Direnni isle, a place of what he calls a "glorified vacation resort" for the Legion. Bored with his original posting he made a request to have he and his men join the war in Skyrim that was ultimately approved. He is a rather high class man but is not without his own friendliness, a seeming wine connoisseur and notable commander he forms a trust with the Governor General and start of a strong friendship with a heartlander Legate by the name of Pius.

Oskar has a high opinion of the accomplishments of Tullius as well as all those of his legion including the newblood that is Ruigus and Alduin. He is not well experienced in actual combat yet is a great fighter with a greatsword and retains said good leadership, as he is the sort to make decisive and heavy engagements in battle.

He is a dark haired man and is rather paleish. Overall holding a handsome air and personality with a positive and mysterious spirit. Oskar is tall, and holds an imposing figure and well trained physique.

Pius Corvus:

.
The noble nibenean-heartlander legate under Governor-General Tullius's command among all the others. A married and family oriented man married to a woman named Maria, whom he thinks of constantly and loves deeply. He first joined Tullius's legion a week before the attack on Whitreun, having been stationed in it without any more than fifty men to his group of 4000, he nonetheless joins in Legate Rikke's desperate defense alongside Ruigus and Alduin, of whom all leave a very positive impression on him despite not a single direct action.

Pius forms a friendship with Oscar von Fromm, whom shares his temperaments and beliefs as he makes his arrival alongside his reinforcements for his unit, with being another one of the Governor-General's confidants he and Oskar are privy to some of the lesser known knowledge of the campaign.

He is overall a swift and decisive man upon action, using whichever method that will get him and his men to their objective at the earliest. A brave and courageous man with good spirit, he is a capable swords and spearman.

He is the sort of man that is the heart of the legion.

Whilst possessing relatively normal features he possesses a noble countenance that has become scarred upon his first battle. He has bright brown eyes that further accentuate such an air of nobility.

.

Hilvette:

.
A quiet and stoic Nord. She is Ruigus and Alduin's first captain and is a most dedicated and curt woman. Showing an overall amicable respect for the two and their decisions thus far, she is also well acquainted with Rikke, being a personal appointment from her to join their group.

With her aid as a captain in the form of captain D'lliers and in that of the disturbing Captain Kober she enjoys the lessened pressure placed upon herself, and seems to get along with the former.

She takes a very friendly approach to the soldiers beneath her rank, going so much as to talk to them personally after each battle when not occupied. Hilvette again shares the same views as that of Legate Rikke in regards that they will have the advantage over the Stormcloaks through sheer nurture of their own people.

She is a most dutiful woman.

Hilvette holds a tall, slender physique with long blonde hair and a noticeably angular face. She is overall fair for a Nord.

D'lliers:

.

A Breton captain that was stationed in a small settlement in the northeast of Whiterun's territories. He was captured a day before the Siege of Whiterun along with his men but was eventually rescued by Ruigus and Alduin. He comes along with them as a part of their forces from then on and remains a reliable officer.

He's of a relative reservedness among the others who have more at stake in the current war but is a seemingly laid-back man regardless and has a fascinating knowledge of weapons.

He is there when needed and shows enough rapport with everyone he's come across.

D'lliers is a more shorter sort of Breton, with bright green eyes and light brown hair. A normal sort of figure.

.

Praxeloria Salvol:

.
The Daughter of the Great General Jonna who led the very vanguard of the gigantic Imperial army that liberated the Imperial City during the Great war of twenty one years ago. Praxeloria has held the position that her mother passed away in some years previously, and now ultimately holds great power within the Empire as it's current and sole Field Marshall.

Like how one could call the Emperor "His Majesty", Praxeloria is refereed to as "Her Excellency".

Seemingly unconcerned with politics she spends her time with her own self appointed activities whilst having her close advisor and friend, Lanerus Motohira inform and speak in her place, among the hundreds of others who could.
Arrogant and high class, she looks down upon even those of the Elder Council and has tolerates such gossip of all in the Imperial Government, even the Emperor.

Praxeloria has her own grand visions, and she fully believes that on the current course of things that it will become true. However, she is one not to chance her risks.

She is of above average height for a Heartlander. The Field Marshall sticks to her naturally arrogant demeanor, however she seems rather jovial and energetic around her advisors when it comes to their meetings. She could stare one down with her orange eyes, and her hair is light brown with intentionally dyed streaks of dark, subtle green and styled in the fashion of that of an Akaviiran.

.

Detlev Sondheim:

.
The current Warlord of Colovia as of Reinhard's step down after the end of the Great War and has ruled since. He was instrumental in assuring that Colovia earned the desperate payments and resources that they had needed and received such from both the Imperial government and Dominion in their peace deal, thus saving the nation from total bankruptcy and more dependence on the Empire itself, something that both agreed they needed to avoid.

He has handled reconstruction well, although has come under criticism for not doing anything new with the resources given to him by old Colovian hardliners of the previous period of power. It does not help von Sondheim that he has come under some suspicions of corruption, being well known to have his bruisers assault those who naysay a plenty.
He is considered much like a Nibenean gangster mage-lord, and lives up to it with the aforementioned bruisers, he is rather straightforward and bluntly crude but is known to show a degree of eloquence.

Despite the misgivings, another faction of old Colovians have long supported him since his defense of a Colovian fort during the "Three Week Counterpush" conflict that took place seven years prior to the Great War. He had held out to the end with a hundred men against the advancing Redguards of the Crowns faction.

Along with his position as Warlord he is also part of the Elder Council, and considered one of the High Councilors. However he holds a low opinion of the people inside the council and thinks lowly of their overall intelligence, ironically this belief in particular is agreed upon by some of his rivals,

The Colovian Warlord is a business-like man and shows little hesitation in his actions, he has waited decades for his chance, and is not the sort of man to back down.

.

Christof Balabanov:

.

The current President of the hundreds of families of the Colovian Estates and is quite a young man. He was accepted in as the Estate's President in respects to his father when it is his advisors that are known to generally handle all of the decisions and acts in his stead. It is said that he is an atypical puppet, however he grown a reputation for martial prowess as of late.

Active and with a temperament to match. He is often seen on hunting trips or in friendly duels. And has openly shown a desire to ride a Dragon, something considered outright silly by some of those close to him.

He donates some valuable manpower and some resources to the Dawnguard Imperial group that is meant to set for the Order's fort, and writes a letter to the Dragonborn, wishing him well.

As part of his station as the Colovian's Estate President he wears the striking gold bodied, silver eyed Dragon Helm as crafted by the Nords who came to aid the Alessian rebellion. It holds it's enchantment even to this day despite the overall shape and style of the helm having been changed since the times of Emperor Reman.

The North Colovian has bright blonde hair and bright green eyes, aiding his energetic personality. With height almost equaling a nord, he could appear most imposing in a suit of armor.

.

Balgruuf the Greater:

.
Whiterun's current Jarl and pragmatist. He sides with the Imperials when that Ulfric Stormcloak forced his hand by declaring war on him, ruining his idea of Whitreun prospering as a neutral party in the war. Nevertheless, he communicates well with the very Imperials he once refused vehemently from entering his main hold. He shows his own generosity to all peoples that he comes to like, however his business-like mindset has become realized with his previous neutrality in the conflict.

Despite his pragmatism being seen as a weakness in traditional nord culture, many recognize him for overall courageousness. As he has so far been quick to respond to many crises and has refused to abandon his city despite all threats of invasion. His own independent nature is well respected among all sides in the conflict, although a pain for both of the side's leaders.

He is known for embracing the Imperialization but also very much sticking to the old Nord culture in a view of his own.

Resourceful, knowledgeable, and shrewd he is the sort of man that intends to make much to his name, however his one shame so far are the rumors of infidelity.

He carries his axe with him at all times, is tall, blonde, and retains a big beard. He appears larger than life and is a small callback to many of the Nord warriors of old.

.

Marcus Hirrus:

.
A Nibenean born in the Great City of Bravil. He holds within him a dream to become "The greatest archer in the Empire!" as he so declares. A cocky and very energetic soul, he often speaks ahead of himself and freely insults others and also makes friends in this matter. Genuinely, he is a friendly man who holds a relatively high perception as one who loves the bow and often shows great enthusiasm, he would rather be in the action than not be in it. Although even he knows there are some engagements he should not partake in.

He was among the men and women who joined Tullius as he was retasked to Skyrim, he ends up surviving Helgen and ends up in a small squad of four formed by him and three other fellows despite their own differences, whom bicker, agree, and improve upon the other in a fashion men such as Tullius and Ruigus approve of, the former being known for using such small groups of soldiers to do great tasks.

He gets well along with Ruigus and isn't afraid to point things out to him or anyone else. This gets him into a slight conflict with two others that have such unique perceptions, Aethan the more book-like man, and Hans; the old and much more experienced warrior.

He has shown his competence to all, and his own dream comes closer each bout of combat, exceptional with his bow and thorough with his blade he cuts and places an arrow into all that have tried to end his life in this cold land he's come to terms with.

He has brown hair and light blue eyes, and a markedly above lean and fit build.

.

Hadvar:

.

A Nord with much at risk in his home town of Riverwood. A volunteer among some of the more distanced nords in his homeland. He firmly believes in the ability and meaning of the Empire itself to help out all those in it's territories, whilst he understands to be more pragmatic as much as he can about it, he holds no regrets in his enlistment.

Hadvar does his best to stay with his positive look on things even as the situation deteriorates, and keeps to his light-hearted being. The threats to his family and the war itself however gnaws at him. He wishes to end the war and go back to a peaceful life, that seems to grow further and further away.

He also has some familiarity with Rikke, who entrusts him to the special squad she created in emulation of that Tullius's, apparently having been the one who recruited him.

Tall and with a dirtied, youthful face Hadvar remains a Nord in his prime.

.

Aethan:

.
A Nord born in Riften and it's namesake city as part of what constitutes for a Nordic royal family in the sense that it was well established and historic. His family was eventually put down to the last by Maven Black Briar, for as to what he says was just them merely crossing her and her family. He ended up being what he believes to be the only survivor, running to the Imperial Legion for protection while keeping his overall identity quiet.

Ironically, by the time of the Helgen attack he was assigned to aiding a torturer with his new Stormcloak prisoners, whom quickly found themselves taking up arms against them once the situation intensified.

Surviving, and following along with three other soldiers, he sticks alongside them as to stay alive for as long as he can. In somewhat of a case of terrible fate, he finds himself in increasingly terrible battles, ones he recognizes are inevitable and takes the opportunity to enhance his own worth.

Without the deep knowledge as a mage, scholar, or official, Aethan still can discern many curiosities and concepts, and has little problem understanding them. He feels a sad regret over the whole war but knows it's reasons.

Long haired and stocky, he has hints of a mustache and has an overall calm air.

.

Hans:

.

A Solitude born Nord that has lived for many years and has seen much conflict. He was a soldier of the Imperial Legion in the Great War, serving most of his time in Hammerfell since the very start of it alongside a mixed unit of Nords, Imperials, and Orcs. Having survived through the worst of the fighting in both the south and north of the territory even after the original peace deal that ended the war between the Empire and Dominion was signed, he grew a unique view on the younger men and women much like him and the rest of those who fought during that war. He does not look down upon them, but has taken the belief that it is more of a matter of experience that matters, spirt and youth second. A coincidental belief with that of the Colovians and Redguard's Crowns faction.

He holds an old halberd with him, a weapon that he's kept since in his time in the original war, and it has seen use in one more war as well in the time between now and then. Ironically, it is a weapon that has not seen common use among the ritualistically used sword and shield of the legion, he is proud of it and his own skills with it.

He has multiple children as well as a wife in the city of Solitude itself, he has only ever spoke much about the age of one to Marcus. And very much treats the Nibenean like one of them.

He is wary of magic atypical of a nord, but respects it's abilities after seeing it's great aid and destruction firsthand. He lives comfortably with the oncoming "new skyrim" but seemingly is detached from all the current events anyways, and only gets his old self caught up in them.

With a beard half the length of that of Ysgrammor's, he has the visage of an old, simple, and healthy man.

.

Brina Merilis:

.

A Nord who served in the same army as that as Hans. She is born in Cyrodil, eventually moving some years after the end of the war upon seeing her old home razed to the ground. She enjoys her peace in Dawnstar until the war erupts, and she and her friend Horik are unable to do anything whilst being trapped in Stormcloak territory, however some weeks into it she managed to commence a series of letters with the Imperial Government in Cyrodil, eventually becoming approved for their choice as Jarl once Dawnstar is ultimately siezed.

Despite her stern mask she is a deeply kind and sensitive woman. And much feels a love for the country she was not born in by land. She holds an intimate relationship with her bodyguard Horik, a simple but loyal and understanding man.

.

Aquila Receptus:

.
A prominent Imperial councilman and Heartlander among the Imperial City. And overall a well established official even before his role as a Councilor as he one of the men that aids in the very function of the Imperial City's administration itself as it's effective Governor.

He is a popular man among the Elder Council and is staunchly against military men such as Tullius, whom are considered subversive in light of the Empire's changing ways and policies. However he appears to not want a purge, whether due to Tullius's popularity or another reason.

Councilman like Aquila have favorable views of the Dominion even as they allow their Thalmor agents to do as they please within good reason. The Dominion remains the strongest trade partner on Nirn for the Empire and is quite like-minded towards peace. However, he ignores the very growing chorus of calls of war and fermenting rage from both his own people and that of the Dominion.

A man of average height and average build, he sports a mustache in the form of a horseshoe mustache. He carries himself with a refined dignity with the responsibility of both of his duties.

…..

.

The Stormcloaks:

.

The Proud Sons and Daughters of Skyrim who will see their land rise above the Empire's most forgotten province.

Generally utterly devoted to the man who is the namesake and leader of their rebellion, Ulfric Stormcloak, they intend to restore the natural laws and state of the land entirely, promising revenge against the Dominion that tried to strip away their beliefs and sends their families to prisons they almost never return from, and typically having enough of the Imperial bureaucracy and ways that show a blatant sort of disrespect towards them. Ironically, they have sympathy among many a person whether they be a neutral or enemy in Skyrim or in some parts of Cyrodil.

Fearless and ferocious, they are however typically untrained, despite being led by many commanders that had fought in the Great War, who share a disgust in how the Empire now willingly bows to the Dominion and so much as even allows them to dictate the Empire's policies, something they could not bear with.

As of this moment they have signed a temporary peace with the Imperials, in order to avoid a total death war as the undead and other necromancer aligned factions attack both sides.

They take up the Bear Emblem as a sign of the Nord's values of the animals of Tamriel themselves as to what they symbolize, in this instance while the Dragon has always been of one of oppression to them the Bear, with a thick hide and mighty form represents their idealized strength and independence. As well as being the emblem of their leader himself.

..

.

Ulfric Stormcloak:
The self proclaimed High King of Skyrim after having killed the previous High King in what is typically considered by many Nords an honorable duel, which is further believed as he had used Shouts against High King Torygg, an old Nordic custom as that of a High King to have.

He is an enigmatic and ambitious man, having come from a very well known and powerful family and was once considered a natural choice for High King until his imprisonment as an Imperial Officer during the Great War, of where he had served in Cyrodil to the mid-late war both as a soldier and prisoner. However after the war's conclusion, he was heavily involved in the Markarth incident in the interwar period of the two conflicts. Having been the leader of the very Nordic militia that was requested to force out the Reachmen who had occupied the Great City of Markarth.

The militia under Ulfric saw themselves win a major victory as they freed the city, but were unable to totally annihilate the Reachmen, who with great vengeance would become a terror organization under their "King", Madanach who would cause great suffering in the region until he was killed in a blind rage by none other than Ruigus.

Upon their arrival the Imperial Legion congratulated Ulfric for his deeds, but in the end was dismayed upon hearing that upon his deal with Markarth's still current Jarl, Igmund that Ulfric had it so that Talos worship that had been banned a week and a half prior would be lifted. Ironically, he suffered no punishment at the time and was only punished later upon the Dominion's own demands.

Ulfric had his militia face crackdown and he and his leaders were imprisoned by the Empire. His father, the Jarl of Windhelm and the man known as the "Bear of Eastmarch" would die some time during his time in prison. Ulfric was both simultaneously free and broken out of prison to mourn his father's death, with many people at Windhelm calling for justice, vengeance, war against the Dominion, and that Ulfric should rule Windhelm after his father.

There was nobody that thought that he shouldn't have.

After the Death of High King Istlod, the aforementioned Torygg's father, Ulfric took his chance at the Moot to speak of Independence from the Empire, it is said that he faced mockery and gossip that he was speaking of total treason.

Now, as a ruler and leading a now independent Eastern Skyrim, he tries his best at victory, whilst being on the current backfoot he has much still up his own sleeve, and is well aware of the long road that awaits him.

Before the Great War and while he was in his youth, he had once trained to become a Greybeard.

He holds an enigmatic quality to his being. Blonde and with a heavy gaze, he was known for staring some Nords who had sided with the Imperials before switching sides upon meeting him.

.

Galmar Stone-Fist:
Ulfric's right hand and bodyguard, a merciless man with a most unique vision on how the Nords should fight against their Imperial enemies, if one shows pity or hesitation of killing anyone who takes up arms against the Stormcloaks that they themselves deserve to be killed as well. Simultaneously he is known to be a courageous and valorous man to both sides, and is shown to be logical upon speaking with the likes of Governor-General Tullius.

Embodying the spirit of a true Nord, he is fiercely loyal and often acts as a Paragon, setting a guideline for the Stormcloaks to follow.

He currently takes up the overall command of the Stormcloak military after the failed attack on Whiterun, and is now seen leading from the front.

Stone-Fist is often seen rarely without his bear-furred armor and carries his greataxe at all times, blonde and with blue eyes, he very much resembles a man like Ysmir Wulfharth.

.

Ralof:
.

The Stormcloak's Rising Star and "Poster Boy" as an aristocratic Imperial or Altmer could say, and he like a fellow Nord on the side of the Imperials, has much at stake in Riverwood, having his own family in the form of his sister and his brother in law.

He was with Ulfric Stormcloak from the very start of the war and was captured alongside him, despite being at war with the Imperials he pities and aids one, Ruigus, from being executed by his own people after a mishap.

Ralof is seen fighting ferociously in the very manner that lives up to Galmar's beliefs of a "Paragon of Nord values.", during the Imperial campaign to take Dawnstar he attempts to save a fort from the approaching Imperials but is defeated, and is ultimately allowed to make a retreat by none other than the man he tried to vouch for. He at least managed to inflict heavier casualties than losses.

Currently, he is under the command of Stormcloak General Hjornskar Head-Smasher.

.

Hjornskar Head-Smasher:

.

Hjornskar Head-Smasher is a man who, contrary to his titled name, is one of the more reserved members of the Stormcloak rebellion. Not above the use of collusion and deception he's seen picking his fights in the push to Dawnstar, taking out Imperial Armies as they split off and separate. However, he is unable to aid the city directly as it falls.

He shows a personal distaste for his own method of warfare but seems to be in favor of continuing it, as he sees it as the Stormcloak's best chance of victory. He shows respect towards the like of the Imperials despite his underhanded tactics and has seemingly not yet come under Galmar's disfavor for it.

He is middle aged, suggesting some youth in the time of the Great War but his past is otherwise unknown.

He has warpaint over his right cheek in the shape of an owl. And is a buff sort.

..

.

The Aldmeri Dominion:

.

The Aldmeri Dominion has come to it's greatest height of power in all of it's existence with the exception of the rule of Queen Ayrenn in the 2nd Era. However, their influence has long surpassed that of what existed back then after the defeat of the Empire of Tamriel (Although at the time was considered a stalemate by both side's leaders) and has now taken up the mantle as the one with the overall authority of the continent at long last. Their ruling ideology belongs to that of the Thalmor, a supremacist faction with very visionary and esoteric goals for the future of the faction.

They are made up of the Summerset Isle and Auridon as custom, Valenwood, and Elsweyr, and now some parts of Hammerfell.

The Aldmeri Dominion is ruled by it's Eagle King Orndacil Venril, although in widely known truth amongst the likes of the Empire is that the Good King is the figure head of all of the Dominion's Secretaries, whom each govern a single department of their nation that include the very basics as well as some extremities such as the Secretary of the Thalmor, which has led to somewhat of a bloated system.

What is known currently is that the consensus is that they all agree vehemently with their Great King, as he holds a parallel position to that of Emperor Titus Mede II.

None much else is known about the inner workings of their society in the Summerset Isle, however it is said that Elsweyr is simply united and that Valenwood has had issues of unrest ever since Venril had launched the campaign to bring the land back to the fold while the Empire was busy with it's own internal wars some 220-260 years ago, it was a long conflict and many forget how long it went on for due to how sporadic the war was.

The unity of the Dominion was assured when the Mane had passed and the Void Nights began, allowing them to step into the void that was the lack of any authority the Khajiits had left, simultaneously a hero had arisen during the Valenwood unrest, a proclaimed "Trinimac Reborn." Unfortunately, that hero is no longer with the Dominion, only those whom saw him in action.

After the White Gold Concordat the Dominion continued it's war with Hammerfell for two weeks, before facing internal pressure from those both Thalmor alinged and Anti war to cease it.

Now, with the Empire wearing itself out against a mere rebellion, the Dominion stands as the holder of the greatest powers known to Nirn, and Venril is a man with a grand vision for the future of Tamriel.

..

.

Orndacil Venril:

.

The Dominion's charismatic, unique, and driven "ruler" as he takes it upon himself to act as such.

He claims to have been born some 430 years ago, and rose to his leadership at a rather young, but very spirited soul with an eloquence and belief that grasped at the hearts of the Altmeri people more than ever. His own personal story and of how he found the light of Auri-El at a dark time in his life as he traveled Tamriel hearkened to many the good days of Queen Ayrenn, whom is both considered overrated but a truly positive force for the Dominion.

The good Eagle King on his path to election rose up a group of Altmeri supremacists who boasted action within the people of the Summerset Isle, to not allow themselves to sit and wait to be conquered or slaughtered yet again. Among the most profound call to action was to see the total ban of the so called God of Mankind, "Talos".

And so he allowed to grow, during the Great War. It is known that only one "division" as it were of the Aldmeri Dominion itself was sent to combat, the rest were all entirely volunteer soldiers exclusively loyal to the Thalmor ideals, wearing great and extravagant gold armor to combat. It is unknown to many outside of the Dominion as to why he never sent any other Dominion Army to the front.

Nevertheless, Venril has kept a public face since then, and is generally approved among the people of the Dominion, however, some resistance is growing inside all three of the main territories that he rules over.

He is yet to be seen, but it is said by some that he has a most unique figure for an Altmer.

.

Serdan Permaer:

.

A now Captain after his time following the man known as "Trinimac Reborn" in his times in Hammerfell all the way to the end of the war. Serdan ended up becoming something of one of the heroes to the Dominion after a most famed battle.

He now sits in somewhat of a comfortable spot in the Thalmor Embassy of Skyrim, although recent events seem to be putting that to an end. Apparently, he earned his place there at the request of Ambassador Elenwen herself, having known him in the Great War. He wears a sort of mask in their presence, trying to emulate the more zealous behavior some of them have as much as he regrets it.

Serdan now trains some new Embassy and Justiciar guards, of whom haven't been having full returns of late and is overall distressed by the fact of someone like the Dragonborn having been through the Embassy in such a manner.

He has a close friend back home in the Summerset Isle that he had survived the Great War with and went to the same Academy by the name of Pyrder Yesnan. In Skyrim he's made friends with Lieutenant Neldor Bryna, a mischievous and gossiping sort of Mer that nonetheless finds himself relying on the Captain.

The Captain has a personal servant in the form of Enac Jonan, who has come abroad to study and work under the Captain as something of a favor. He confides in both Enac and Pyrder in that he admits he joined the Dominion military to fund his hobbies, and that being with the Thalmor pays more currently. He also gets along with two of the Justiciars, Valmir and Ancarion whom both happen to share his relatively laid back demeanor despite the two's own activities at oft times.

He shows mild frustration with both the Dominion Government and the Thalmor themselves, although he's come to terms with such things.

Permaer is a bookish sort and when up to it has given his own plans and ideas to those above his station. Ironically earning him some respect among some of them.

He is also at the brunt of some of his friends in the Embassy's jokes about a cousin of Elenwen taking a liking to him, he has some affiliations with her family by association of the Great War itself.

He is dark blue eyed and blonde haired, having some more paler skin of that of an Altmer and remains rather lanky in form.

.

Elenwen Chaelock:

.
The Current Dominion Ambassador of Skyrim and is so with a tinge of reluctance. Being assigned to Skyrim as part of a family member's decision that it would be a "safe assignment" however, recent events prove otherwise especially after one incident in particular. She ends up with a lot of duties on her plate that she casually handles yet is also annoyed by and enjoys the help of her Captain, Serdan Permaer.

Elenwen genuinely enjoys the parties where she both converses and learns info on other peoples, and much enjoys art and scenery. She is competent at her job, but handles it with a certain amount of bore. She does not enjoy torture but has earned a reputation for being skilled in it as part of her old duties, that she still is up to even now, believing her methods to be the quickest to obtain information or to reach a breaking point.

She had been used in interrogations of prisoners during the Great War, one of the people she had gone through was Ulfric Stormcloak, whom she noted for his fiery spirit and his own misgivings against the Empire in his position and family, and considered him an "Asset".

Overall Elenwen is a pious woman, and believes in the Thalmor's desire to no longer be oppressed by those of the Empire of Tamriel.

She has a rather large family and many connections, she often receives letters from her older brother, currently a governor in the Summerset Isle at the current moment.

She retains a gloomy mood outside of her parties, otherwise she is seen as a courteous woman, that is fierce in her duty.

.

Pyrder Yesnan:

.

A happily married Mer and career soldier, he trained in a Dominion Academy and served in the Great War alongside his best friend Serdan Permaer. He too followed in the campaigns of the "Trinimac Reborn" and went along for most of the war, however near the end of it. He found his own tale to tell.

He prefers a much peaceful life and would rather stay home as he is now, but remains a part of the Dominion military for the money he earns from it. To his credit, he's been called a decent lieutenant and generally listened to his friend Serdan.

He is married to a woman named Shyale, who was once training to be a nurse in the same academy as he and Serdan. She is a sweet individual and after seeing the sorts of wounds she did during the conflict, she's turned more against the warlike behavior of the Dominion itself, something Pyrder cannot really speak of.

He hopes for now at least, that with the Great War long over that there won't be anything else.
He holds a generally soft and warm expression, and generally appears sharp.

.

Ancano:

.

A Justiciar that knows more than beyond his rank among the Thalmor's more militant sect. He is overall a secretive man and holds his own tongue on such things to even Elenwen, he is known to speak to the likes of the Supreme Justiciar of Skyrim, as brief as he appears as more reports to him from Elenwen come along.

Currently, he is tasked with the very delicate, and high priority escort of a certain "Eye".

Alduin's Dragons:

The Dragons still loyal to Alduin after the grueling defeat of thousands of years past and their subsequent resurrection that has almost entirely forgotten them and their names and language and what it was they ultimately were.

Now free to roam the skies once again they settle their entire clique upon the old ruins of Skuldafn as they now rebuild it, with the two warring nations below them aware, but ultimately unsure what to think of their reemergence to ironically even consider them a massive threat at the moment when there are supposedly only six attacks made by them in the following Months of the Last Seed of 4E 201.

While they enter a world that too has seemingly all but forgotten the Shout, but has developed it's own weapons in different and much more powerful scales. It is unknown how a full blown conflict could go in the thoughts the most pessimistic of their kind.

Capable of their own growth and with their species not yet entirely brought back, they wisely bide their time.

.

Alduin "Alavia":

.

The Dragon who proclaims herself as the daughter of Akatosh to all mortals familiar with the name, the truth of that among other things with her, is in reality unknown to even the one of all that she takes a unique feeling towards. Her overall past is mysterious, however what is known is that she once lived up to an old title the "World Eater" eating what can be considered previous versions of Nirn itself as a planet, a concept, an existence. All at the behest of her own nature and the behest of the Aedra themselves. When told to cease, her own lack of self control led her to walk and fly among the mortals alongside her kin in a land known as Akaviir, eventually being forced to make a decision to leave the rather terribly suited land for her kind she moved her dragons to what was called Atmora, an icy land in the far north or Nirn itself, with Tamriel being just to the South.

It was in Atmora that she encountered what were yet another group of what were humans and shared the overall martial prowess of a similar group in Akaviir, but were far more impressionable and likened to the likes of her and her kind in a near instantaneous worship as gods for all dragons, quite quickly she and her kinsmen went along with this practice and created a subsequent cult, she would not be content with her still growing status as she would proceed south, into what is Skyrim. She started off as a sort of savior and inspiration for the Nords who had just witnessed the death of their greatest man, Ysgramor.

She quickly fills in the gap that is lost, albeit not a true Nord as she picks out the Dragon Priests that would form the pillars of her rule of the whole land. All remains relatively well as time passes, her Dragon Priests propped up by her and her kinsmen begin to self serve in good time, years after the pick of her last Dragon Priest, Vahlok and so sates her desire of conquest. The death of a dragon in a raid upon a Daedric realm shatters the perception of invincibility that her kind once had. It ends up enough as an entire Kingdom revolts, having the mysterious obtainment of one of her kinds unique abilities, the one that allows to one use a "Shout", one with the potential to destroy and warp the land itself.

In her aloofness and complacency the rebellion grows to some of her own Dragon Priests in Skyrim, as she merely sits in the city of Labarynthia, those still loyal to her doing all that they can. In the end, she is utterly defeated and sent through time.

She lands in the current time, to her own belief and rage that she must start yet again after so long with her full form. In her own abrasive rage, she ends up destroying an entire town, as well as causing the deaths of hundreds both due to her own action and the brutal infighting as the Stormcloaks take up arms against the Imperials. As the rage that threatened to consume her dies, she thinks of her meeting with this generation's dragonborn, a young if not innocent soul in comparison to what was before. Inable to feel guilt but able to continue, she goes about resurrecting her kin before they can decide to make their next move. However, it appears that some of her own kind no longer respect her after her original failure, whether due to the mere event itself or due to time. Nevertheless her own four close kin now take up the brunt of the work as they reestablish themselves in the long forgotten mountain fortress of Skuldafn, a once holy site.

Deciding to no longer use outright brute force she takes on the duty of mere infiltration upon fulling being caught up in current events as she is left genuinely intrigued by it all. She plans herself of going with Ruigus, to see what he is truly like as someone who holds that parasitic, yet meaningful soul as she sees. Her initial impressions are not that of the Nords she once knew, neither is that he is terrible. Nonetheless she retains a vested interest from the start as she follows him into the Imperial Legion. She becomes acquainted with one that seems distanced yet close to Ruigus in the form of General Tullius. As they adventure in their off time onto multiple quests and incidents such as one time they are attacked by Thalmor, Alduin's indifference turns into a strange respect as again and again he keeps pushing own even despite the young man's apparent weakness as a warrior. She grows infatuated with the virtue he brings up that she once disposed as something that could never have survived after her original failure, and the pure will and optimism he holds.

She ends up believing both in her own ability to start again, and a unique feeling that spreads across her whole soul, told to "love" by her mother in uncertain terms she abrasively forms a relationship with Ruigus and subsequently reveals herself, he is shocked but reciprocates the feeling. They remain intimate, and she teaches him more of herself and her desire, listening to his own thoughts on it. She nevertheless retains a teasing, and serious demeanor with him typically. Ruigus does recognizes hints of what he starts to think is her true personality among all things.

She carries regrets of her own actions but is strongly confident in her own self, she ends up sharing the dream of the man she's with to see a better world, no matter how foolish that idea may be.

She too, slowly grows and wishes to understand Ruigus, Tullius, and all the other people who have existed in this world. For Nirn shows wonder and promise to her. However, she remains unsure of her feelings.

As the Black Dragon she remains the most unique, and iconic out of her species as the most intimidating, with her eye color transforming eyes of red to orange, that glow brightly.

As a woman she appears as a Nord, with jet black and light brown eyes and choosing to be a bit taller than most Nords. Ironically, her body language is much similar to that of the idealized Nord warriors.

She also possesses a form quite accurate to some certain Imperial depictions of Akatosh, where as he is a man with draconic features she remains much the same, except complete with the full features of a Dragon, whilst retaining a very human face and overall appearance. It is unknown if her "Father" truly shares such an appearance.

.
Paarthunax:

Perhaps the oldest living Dragon aside from his direct sister, Alduin herself. He addtionally no longer follows Alduin's gathered, having betrayed her in the far past during the Dragon War for the rebelling Nords and his own unique philosophy.

He was once his sister's closest confidant, only to distance as time went on as they conquered the land of Skyrim. At an unknown time throughout all the worlds that were ended, he eventually ended up developing a clear and pained conscious as he watched what were the beginnings of life extinguished yet and yet again. However, what truly set him along the path was his sister's constant proclamation of godhood, he would grow further uncomfortable when the Atmorans and Nords worshiped him as one as well.
Along with extraneous forces, he would teach many Nords to use the Thu'um, the "Shout" as it is widely known.

For the reason as to why he sits unmovingly at the Throat of the World was that he feared that he would return to his "old ways" and come to try and rule Tamriel itself. He stays as the current Grandmaster over the Greybeards, who give him light company from generation to generation.

While lightly opposed to the fiery and if not warlike Ruigus he nonetheless teaches him much in the way of Shouts in order to strengthen him. He takes a kindly and mentor-like stance to the young Dragonborn, however he understands that the young man has little use for his own thoughts, for the current time.

He is ultimately surprised when he finds that Alduin has indeed made a change, however he remains wary and knows that his sister still has yet to fully forgive him for something he should not be forgiven for, and neither should she be. He supports Ruigus's efforts however.

He has aged terribly in appearance in recent times, perhaps it being the Throat of the World that gnaws at him or his lack of "godhood", he remains among the strongest of dragons despite his withering. He was once the "White Dragon" at the side of Alduin, and despite his immortality appears to have injuries that will not heal.

.

Faaskunven:

Perhaps Alduin's closest and most eccentric dragon. She has a reputation of saying things without refinement, enjoying embarrassing and teasing other beings, Dragon or not. This behavior annoys even Alduin, who finds herself more amused at her speeches nonetheless, whenever it is none too scandalous or outright idiotic in the Overlord's mind. She holds an interesting logic as agreed upon by the other three dragons among the group of four.

Faaskunven however offers insight for Alduin and the rest of the Dragons, taking up a role of a "Mother" as one could say. She often spoke with the Dragon Priest known as Vahlok while avoiding the others unlike her mate Geindokun, who was known for his outstanding kindness as a Dragon. Geindokun has not been seen since the Dragon War however, and she shows no mention or signs of a search.

She is a dark red dragon in an appearance loosely similar to her Overlord but holds a far less spiky and thick hide. She is of great size and holds a powerful Thu'um.

.

Wuthdeinkinbok:

The Great and Powerful melee fighter of the Dragonkind. And is it's most fearsome, most grumpy, and most ferocious fighter. He is seen at the often forefront of a wing of Dragons and is considered Alduin's follow up choice should she ever perish before him. Wuthdeinkinbok is known for having a lack of drive for such a position as the Overlord, and thus never once challenged her.

He is quiet, if not blunt whenever he speaks. He follows Alduin's instructions with no deviation and is often seen reporting to her.

Being among the largest of Dragons, he could outpower one such as Alduin physically, but his own Shouts he both prefers not to use and lacks proficiency in among the other four.

.

Odahviing:

.
The bright red Dragon of Alduin's claws. The ever aggressive, bold, and wild one of the pack, who simultaneously is known for his "gentle-dragon" behaviors to many of whom he does not plan or wish to fight. He follows Alduin's wishes as best he can, although he holds his own reservations and wishes that he very well pushes.

He merely obeys the one who is capable of keeping strong authority and strength, however currently remains loyal to Alduin despite her banishment and the death of his mate and his own subsequent death.

Odahviing is also known for taking an interest in speaking with mortals, something his mate does not often do.

.

Lokyolkriaan:

The other red Dragon of Alduin, much like her mate she holds the same amount of excitement for a fight, although refines herself more than him. She takes a shy style of fighting, preferring to never land on the ground and takes herself to burning the enemy from the sky, much favoring her own enhanced use of the "Fire Breath", allowing her to spew fire without as much effort as normal, sometimes combining it with her own natural flames as well.

She is very well famed among her own kind for it, and is part of the source of the idealized "fire breathing dragon" that pops up in some made up tales and stories.

Ironically, her love of the flight is tied together with her overall perception. Possessing a good judgement she has a nigh trivial time discerning a person as well as being able to tell what things are happening from a far distance. She remains curt and silent, typically allowing her mate to do any sort of talking, of whom's speech often amuses and endears her. She spends most of her time following him around, if not then she is most typically in battle.

The Blades:

The former Intelligence Service of the Empire after the death of Martin Septim signalling the end of the Dragonborn Emperors and by extension their own existence. However, they were kept up by the Imperial Governments in the times after nonetheless, however their role was replaced by the new Penitus Oculatus, who never came into organization conflict with them, and the Blades still kept their own agents and were more relegated to a group of more elite soldiers and warriors that could do special tasks.

Their Grandmaster was among the first to alarm Emperor Mede II of the growing power of the Aldmeri Dominion as they geared themselves to take on the Empire, an alarm that reached the Emperor, but was ultimately turned down by the current two Field Marshalls of the Empire.

Subsequently, all their agents outside of Cyrodil, Skyrim, and High Rock were found and assassinated by Thalmor agents. The Blades were eventually forced to hole up in their Cyrodil headquarters of Cloud Ruler Temple, where they participated on the frontlines where terrible holes were formed among the failing armies of the Legion and Nibenay as the Colovians pushed and the Heartlanders held. Causing the Blades to lose much even before the mid war, where they were eventually reduced from 6,297 members in 4E 176 at it's very start to no more than 2,441 by the middle of 4E 178.

They would face almost total annihilation the next year, leaving only a true handful of survivors left, that were all granted reserve duty until the end of the war. When the end did come, as part of the White-Gold Concordat the few survivors would find themselves outlaws by their own people, as the Dominion terms stated as so. However, they were not given serious chase for at least five months.

They ran until they managed to reactivate the secretive base of Sky Haven Temple in Skyrim, once long abandoned and hidden from all but the Blades themselves, they now live in relative safety.

With their new base, they quickly found that there was a certain wall that coincided with a prophecy that they deduced would come to fruition very soon. And so, with Delphine Saunders as their current Grandmaster and Esbern Erariks as their Archivist, the few survivors would see their numbers grow yet again, however to keep themselves alive they became "Mercenaries".

They are now with a true purpose, now numbering a little over a hundred, and has very loyal contacts with different guilds and services within a number of governments.

..

.

Delphine Saunders:

.

The Blade's Breton Grandmaster, who holds no fear in putting her own life on the line. She is often called a strict, harsh Commander. Which is in part due to her previous status as a Sergeant, and had earned a nickname within the Blades for it. Furthermore to her infamous rank as a sergeant it is said that she alongside being serious she has a sadistic habit of sending people on wild and often times dangerous missions that she deems necessary, as she herself often takes on the tasks as well.

She has led the Blades well so far, and has seen the Organization find their Dragonborn, however the circumstances could not be anymore horrible in the form of the Skyrim Civil War.

Delphine so far has held great knowledge about the Dragons of Skyrim and their activities, and is left perplexed by their general inactivity despite their numbers.

She has given good authority to Ruigus, so much as even allowing him to dictate some of the directions they go into, of which she makes her own additions and changes to, given his inexperience. As she interacts with him, she shows great patience and is rather welcoming to him, despite her usual persona.
As of the current moment, she is investing the Blade's resources and talents into investigating Dwemer ruins, however that is to reach a delay soon, given the new crisis.

Starting to age from stress, she is a blonde woman and with cyan eyes that has seen herself start to lose luster. Despite it, she still remains among the Order's most powerful warriors.

.

Esbern Erariks:

The Blade's wise and most knowledgeable member as the Order's Archivist that has gone well into his late forties. Esbern is often seen as a bit eccentric within the group due to his pure amount of knowledge but is recognized for his great aid to everyone. It so happens that he often brews his own potions that the men and women of the Blades have varying likeness towards. He does his best to look after them in his time between his studies and often switches up his speaking style to that of a well spoken Breton.

He is known for his caution, and healthily advises members of what sorts of potions and equipment to bring against certain scenarios or foes of the supernatural, something he takes a keen interest in.

He has followed Delphine since the end of the war, and helped her and the rest of the survivors find Sky Haven Temple, being instrumental in doing so. He was once among the Order's greatest battlemages, whilst he retains his power, he avoids going outside of their headquarters unless absolutely necessary.

.

Charles "Merser":
.

The Blade's supremely confident and dashing rogue of a Knight-Brother, whom borders on pure sarcasm even upon the most serious and dire of moments. He takes his job seriously and is one of the few survivors of the Original Blades.

He has become reinvigorated and enthusiastic as of late, pleased to see that a Dragonborn still yet exists, perhaps feeling more excitable about the whole arrangement more than most others. He often leads a squad of four or more on his missions, but is oftentimes outranked by the likes of Florin, a man who does not take his relatively sarcastic demeanor all that well but has kept professionalism with him over the years.
A flirtatious man, he comes into conflict with Knight-Sister Rayloru, the Dunmer survivor of the old Blades, who tires of his fake advances. Professionally, the two are often sent along the same missions.

Known to have his appearance changed through illusions and other methods his true self remains that of the handsome man he professes himself as, albeit with a light amount of scars behind his clothes. Typically blonde, and with amber eyes. He holds a more average figure.

.

Florin "de Rais":

.

The Blade's third most senior member and the self professed "Witch Hunter". Having been among the original group of survivors he had be known for this after being one of the couple survivors after a mission of elimination on a troublesome sect of Glenmoril Witches and had specialized in such beforehand. However, it was known that high casualties were to be expected. After the Great War he would follow Delphine, sticking with her and the others as they traveled around the northern areas of Tamriel.

Florin is known for his sternness and professionalism, never once breaking either in a mission and is often assigned as a commander due to his resolute state of mind. He is one of the Order's most skilled mages, and after Esbern is the most experienced with the Supernatural, in part due to his "Witch Hunter" name.

However unlike Delphine and some others he is known for having a greater amount of patience, and is not once said to have ever raised his voice at another member or outsider. He is often looked up to by the new recruits and is seen leading Blades new and veteran on dangerous missions.

Florin is tall for a Breton, and has gray eyes. He posses an unchanging countenance. His skills with his generally used spells, sword, and shield are well balanced and proficient for his age.

.

The "Agent":

.

The Blade's most unusual and secretive field operative, a wily sort that typically works alone. She currently aids and follows Ruigus from a distance from time to time as the situations worsen and takes a more mischievous approach to the young Dragonborn.

She refuses to speak of her name for unknown reason, and is overall a roundabout woman. She is however quite skilled and heavily armed despite her own lack of proper armor. The Agent appears to be one of the Blade's best.

She also acts as a messenger, and keeps her own self well hidden. However, a man like Rolf von Kober was able to detect her once.

She is hooded and masked with cloth, showing the skin of only that of a tanned woman, but her race or sub-race is hard to tell for Ruigus, however she is of below average height by the estimations of a Nord, meaning that she would be just about the height of a standard Nibenean.

.

Lydia:
The Nord among the Blade's newest batch of recruits, and a former housecarl of Whiterun. A young woman, she holds herself in a strange manner despite her training and skills. With an interestingly aloof personality, she seems to be extremely casual, not taking even the prospect of death too seriously and has an unrestrained sort of speech.

She's been brought along most of the new operations, and holds herself in combat quite well. Though, she knows it herself that must improve. Lydia also takes a keen interest in the Thu'um, and decides to generally stick close to the Dragonborn.

She is also known as a terrible sneaker, due to her overall height and form; excluding her own temperament.

..

.

Civilians and Others:
..

.

Elizabeth "Eleonora" Drach:
The Daughter of the late Great Unifier of the Colovians who raised her nineteen years before the Great War, and subsequently married Reinhard Drach after her sixteenth birthday and by his fifteenth.

Despite the years, she remains a very proud woman of both her families, and subsequently dislikes the sorts of people who opposed them. However, she holds a strong hatred for warriors that grew as time in the Great War went on, as many did not return to her family's homes.

She interacted much with Ruigus during his childhood and acted much as a second mother, however they naturally distanced over time and Ruigus's own fate and subsequent joining of the Legion has caused her to be upset with him.

She is a solemn woman, with two of those closest to her so far away yet again.

She is a most refined woman, however haunted with a dark, forlorn feeling upon her deep gaze. In a dissimilar manner to most of the lords of the Estates she dresses much like a proper sort of queen.

.

Hildeguard Kessel:
The mother of Sieghard, bringing him up in Kvatch as she and her late husband were born in. She is a quiet but friendly individual of a Colovian. A caring and understanding woman that understands the distance needed with her own son.

She grieves much for her late husband, but keeps up an appearance of well being whilst additionally not trying to be worried about her son.

She teached Alduin or "Alavia" her language, growing amazed at the seemingly normal Nord's proficiency and understanding, she forms a light bond with her, enjoying her presence that is so different from everyone in the years past.

Hilde takes it upon herself to maintain a field of all sorts.

She is a gentle figure, and does her best to appear as a happy woman. However, Alduin for one of the briefest moments saw sadness within her.

.

Hugo Koegel:

.

Once Reinhard's top and newest strategist during the Great War, now goes about as a "Traveling strategist", finding conflicts and leaders to learn under. A rugged sort and if not a bit lower-class like in how he acts and behaves. He tends to be fairly light hearted and tends to joke often whilst dispensing advice and strategy. However, there are those that consider him a most dangerous individual, as someone with experience and unique "ideas". He has happened to cross some, but remains out of their immediate concerns.

He looks as rugged and rough as his personality and to a degree that gives him a unique sort of handsome, and is overall quite a fit man, he has short, black hair and brown eyes.

.

Maven Black-Briar:

.

The current "Boss" of Riften's overall inner workings and holds a position on the Elder Council. A most ruthless and cutthroat woman of a Nord, she is a far cry from the typical sort of straightforwardness that nords generally behave by and a comparison could be drawn between her and that of a Nibenean "Boss".

She is not above having people killed as word from those of her detractors say, and they are generally quite true. Whether she does it to advance her business or some other end is not known.

.

Isidorus Sanctus:

.

The Cousin-in-law of Ruigus and his original benefactor on his journey to Skyrim. Isidorus is currently one of the many administrators of the Imperial City and handles a bunch of civic duty through papers, and through their very hundreds.

A cautious, serious, and dutiful man. He takes it upon himself seeing each of aforementioned papers finished, and further takes it upon himself to go about the city to gain more knowledge.

He is a generous being, however pragmatic and wise in his nature. He along with his wife chide Ruigus whenever he acts too much of an airhead.

As a Heartlander he holds his grace and pride well within his posture and speech, while wearing the specialized clothing of the City itself.

.

Seraphine Sanctus:

.

Ruigus's slightly older Cousin, an energetic colovian woman with a sort of responsibility over Ruigus. She had lost nearly all of her family in the war except for that of Andred and Hildeguard, who took her in as the situation around them worsened.

She stays as a part of Ruigus's life despite her long distance, and often reminds him of much, chiding the rather airheaded young man. She is a much friendly individual, and talks much with her husband and is much helpful to the both of them, as well as the new woman in their lives, "Alavia".

She is a shorter girl, and was born with a great and wide smile. She has a small birthmark upon the visible part of her chest.

.

Helmut Brosch:

.

The old bodyguard of the von Kessels and von Drachs, a dutiful and loyal retainer. Whilst a simple man he was relied upon for a quantity of tasks from the two families, he found him being among the few that survived the Great War among the families.

Having deciding to stay with the von Drachs after so long, he is one of the most respected guards at their Estate.

He feels shame for failing to protect his former lords, and almost ended his own life upon seeing Ruigus, resentful at not having gone with him to see him have a safe trip.

.

Mjoll the Lioness:

.

A now resident warrior of Riften, she has become all too familiar with the rampant corruption of the city, and the rot that is at it's very heart.

Saved by a young Imperial man by the name of Aerin after a most wild accident, she takes up the duty upon herself to do what a straightforward Nord such as herself can, however with a city without much in the way of allowing it, there is not much she can do the way she wants it to.

She is rather lucky that someone like Aerin tells her to be cautious.

.

Rupert Secantius:

A teacher to Ruigus and a veteran of the Great War from the Heartlands. He was and still is a scholarly sort of man but was forced into temporary service by the Colovian Royal Guard but eventually decided to stick with them until the end of the war. Returning to his old life nigh seamlessly, but kept contacts within the Colovians as he stayed within the land.

He went on to teach Ruigus much at the behest of Tullius and Ruigus's mother Hildeguard until he grew old enough. He and Ruigus retain a clashing relationship however, but now serves as somewhat of a servant during the Skyrim Civil war along with a Wood Elf named Malborn.

He sports circular glasses due to his poor long sight, a more frail type of man but there is worldly knowledge within his very eyes.

.

Malborn:

.

A Valenwood born Wood Elf, whom infiltrated the Thalmor by his own self, but without any personal power or help. All due to the Thalmor having purged his family in one of their most recent "Loyalty Patrols". After being assigned to Skyrim, he eventually comes into contact with the Blades, and thus waited for a chance to strike. However he was not expecting his light form of vengeance to be in the form of the Dragonborn the Blades so valued.

Aiding him and in turn being rescued, he realizes he has no choice but to follow the Blades around, and eventually comes to Ruigus's service as he sticks with the Imperial Legion for the time being.

Concepts & Notes:

These are the important notes of the story, not all will be covered however what will be explained is some of the differences between some of the peoples in TES and some of the AU changes and/or takes.

..

.

To start with as part of the AU notes of which there are six here: In the original lore, the Dragon Wars and the Alessian rebellion happened some near 200 years apart from each other, in here, they happen at the same time relatively, with the Alessian revolt ending some years later after the end of the Dragon War. This really doesn't change much aside from giving people and lands such as the Alessian Empire some more time of peace before getting overtaken by the influence of the Alessian church, and Skyrim some time before their little conflict over a certain heart.

The second: Is that instead of 30 years in between the Great War and start of Skyrim, it is 20 years here. Only really giving more time for Mede to rule in the end really, and making some characters a bit younger, however age itself is a bit interesting in TES by my point of view. A human's max age can be up to that of 150 for instance, somewhat of a third note there. I suppose to add on, Tullius was just a part of the Imperial legion in the original lore, not under direct Colovian rule until his ascension to power, and subsequent relinquishment.

The Third: Both not AU and AU, it is the matter of Guns and Cannons. Right now they are basically considered worthless due to how many of the platforms they are made on require so much maintenance aside from pistols with little use aside from a single shot into someone, however cannons are made generally reliable and are currently left an enigma, until the situation develops. In the original lore they are only known to have existed in Tiber's era among a lot of other insane things that perhaps have a chance of appearing, however this truly just existed in the form of naval/ship guns. With any actual ones being a rarity made for eccentric types and some types brought over by the Yokudans, who supposedly had them in their previous kalpa, however this itself is possibly also AU in actuality and I will explain why.

Now the Yokudans themselves as their fourth as part of the AU: It's really weird and kinda confusing, supposedly they had been sent to Tamriel after Alduin destroyed the last world/kalpa and brought their own inventions with them. However in original lore it also is stated that stuff did not happen despite some parts of it making a mention, so in the end it is up to interpretation, TES is most infamous for it's use of an unreliable narrator after all. I'm actually confused here myself to be honest, more so than anything else, like Molag Bal and Vivec's romance.

The fifth are the Dragons: What else you will see in the story will actually be part of the lore typically aside from a bit here and there but what this one is about is the Male and Females being a thing in here whilst in the lore they are all "Male". It is simply just my own simple way of making them less like Aedric Automatons (The perspective I have on them originally) and more natural and fitting with some of their actions in the original lore such as, did you know that apparently they are quite capable of milking cows? I cannot remember where in the original lore that it popped up but it remained something once mentioned.

The sixth finally is another odd one: The culture and language differences in Tamriel and Nirn itself, these are actually just merely my take on things and my attempt at mixing some things up, and it in the end really just means the names as everything is still TES but again with my own takes on it. For instance the Imperials now have a mix of German, Russian (In somewhat of an Austrian-like group) as well as Roman-Greek, and Italian-Byzantine with the three major lands in particular with some specials like the Heartlands and Nibenese own fascination with Akaviri culture, going so far as to take up their names (In the original lore this is a thing iirc) and the Colovians who merely make their own versions of Akaviri armor paired with their home designs and take up their tactics all for the military. It is purely names that I associate people who come from certain lands with to what I think would be accurate.

Continued, is that there are lands such as High Rock that I see as typically English, French, Celtic, and Spainish (Particularly the border against Hammerfell), and how Skyrim's people have their unique names to TES as well as some other names that are from places like Hungary and Scandanavia that will make an appearance due to some being title-less or some other circumstance, I think it is merely something I can do a lot with and something like the "Imperial" names that make an appearance so far with the Colovians in particular go to show the arrogance and attitude of the current Empire and those who typically oversee and rule it as it is now.

.

And now some clarification, I will speak of the three main differences in Religion of Tamriel, at least what is relevant right now to the story.

There will be the Imperial Pantheon's name of the Gods first (Being somewhat everywhere alongside individual pantheons), The Nord's version next (Of whom has a large influence in North Colovia), and then that of the Dominions as last.

Akatosh = Alduin (Long accepted to being replaced by Akatosh generally) = Auri-El

Stendarr = Stuhn = Stendarr

Arkay = Orkey = Xarxes

Shezarr = Shor = Lorkhan (Not worshipped and hated by a massive margin)
Mara = Mara = Mara

Zenithar = Tsun = Xen

Padomay = N/a = Sithis

Dibella = Dibella = N/a

Julianos = Jhunal = N/a

Notably for as of this moment, only the Altmer/Dominion really worships Magnus and Trinimac in any sort of serious number.

Note: That I may edit this latter to add more notes and of course, concepts in here. If I do not at any point, then I will by next Intermission, I will also reaffirm that next Story "Summary" will not be as long as this one, and the Cast of Characters will not be the same and some characters may not be mentioned now or in the next due to the scenes they may get.

Please give as much feedback as you can on this, I want to know if there is any sort of adjustments I should make for the next ones, any and all ideas are welcome.

Also one more thing and perhaps the most major announcment: Chapters 3-11 have finally been fixed and have had mild-low rewrites. To say it simply and as how it is, some Scenes are not the same and have been changed to fit in line with the current story itself, due to the many inconsistencies in those mentioned chapters onwards have been totally fixed, and about 92% of typos and the like are now gone (Please tell me anything you may notice, I felt myself going mad as I fully realized my mistakes. I won't make them again unless I'm downing coffees like an addict.)

And I want to apologize for accidentally lying about when I would upload it the day after the last chapter even though it has been four days now. There is much I believe I have fixed and I hope that the summary makes it a bit easier to come back to this as time goes on, despite this particular one's kinda massive bloat.

Thank you and until next time! I will be pumping out the next Great War chapter either by itself or with the next main chapter alongside, I don't want to spam the mail with these exactly.

Take care!
