This is getting boring.
Teleport in, throw his power around, get rid of anyone and anything that has any relations to that big red 'R' printed on their shirts, get out and move onto the next city. That is exactly what he has been doing ever since he attained freedom back at Indigo Plateau.
Now, if only he knows exactly where on earth Jayce had disappeared to, then things will be perfect.
'Get outta my way, get outta my way. Got no more to say, I've taken your place~'
It sucks that the only form of entertainment he has right now is singing his own rendition of whatever songs he could glean from Jayce's memories of his previous world while flinging Rockets left and right. Jayce has told him to reduce the killing to a minimum but hey, it's not like he's here right now to supervise him or anything. Besides, letting loose a little is fine, right?
A foolishly brave Rocket tried to kill him with the help of a poliwrath but Mewtwo easily reduced the both of them to mere smears of blood on the ground with nary a thought. He can see that his public display of power already has the citizens and the League forces gaping in shock and fear and a part of him revels in it. Yes, they should fear him, an existence created for the sole purpose of conflict and war.
Humans' selfishness and greed is what made him come into existence. This is what he was created for and now these humans are reaping what they have sown.
Pounding the Rockets into the ground did little to ease his annoyance towards the fact that Jayce had somehow managed to cut off all telepathic connections with him. To deal with the entirety of Team Rocket's Kanto forces also does little to quell the worries he has for his only friend, and that worry has been growing steadily larger and larger as time passes. He had lost count on how many towns and cities he had visited to honour Jayce's request to aid Indigo in fighting the war happening on Kanto's front. All he knows now is that he is currently stuck at Cerulean and using his psychic powers to command the huge reservoirs of water stored in the water bodies located within the city to wipe out any and all opposition just because it seems more fun to do so.
This is boring. There is no challenge. Should he head back to the Indigo Plateau and force the lizard trainer and his team of Elite Fours to engage him in a serious battle instead? At least that was pretty entertaining.
'Hey Jayce~ Jayce? Answer me dammit. I'm bored!'
As usual, no answer.
With a simple mental command, the waters under his control swept up the last of the Rockets within his line of sight before returning to where they came from. If only the M2 Bind didn't sap away so much of his strength prior to him breaking free from it, he could have done something much more magnificent and sophisticated. What a pity.
The only thing Mewtwo could take comfort in right now is that despite Jayce cutting off all telepathic connections with him, he could still feel that there is still a thin tether of psychic connection linking them together. As long as this connection is there it would mean that he and Jayce are still alive. The relationship between him and Jayce is special, unlike the usual bond a trainer would share with their psychic types. A reason for it is because he is Mewtwo, one of the strongest psychics in existence. The other is because running through his veins are a piece of Jayce as well. Jayce's own DNA was what completed him and made him whole, enabling his birth to be realised.
This is why they are connected in more ways than one, on a level deeper than most bonds. As long as he can feel that the thin tether of psychic connection is still there, then everything is still fine because it would mean that Jayce is still alive. He can make do with that. Jayce is powerful and has survived the impossible many times, Mewtwo is certain that this will be no different.
After all, his friend is Jayce, the man who had always accomplished the impossible.
Mewtwo hummed along to another random melody he had dug out from Jayce's memories. After this whole Rocket fiasco, then what next? Jayce probably won't want to stay in Indigo, so maybe they would travel to another region? Which one then? Hopefully one that has many more exotic and not yet seen pokemon species, he is still curious about how peculiar some pokemon can be. The exeggutors and dodrios, for example. Like, how can anyone live with having more than one head? That is something that he can never ever fathom.
Some lower life form unleashed a snowstorm at him but Mewtwo easily turned the element against it instead, burying his foe with the snow that is now shaped into a gigantic snowman of his grandeur. Perfect. Now the humans here have to worship this snow statue of his image and bow at his feet.
'Hey Jayce? Do you want to build a snowman~? Oh come on, still no answer?'
He really has to find out how Jayce cut off their telepathic connection like that the next time they meet. Being forced to talk to himself is getting really boring.
A quick psychic scan of the area told him enough that the Rockets polluting this particular section of Cerulean had all been dealt with. He could see what he recognises as the Gym Leader of Cerulean -Misty, if his memories serves him right, he hasn't really been paying attention when Jayce forces him to memorise the whole list of names and faces and specialisation of Indigo's Pillars- staring at him in a mixture of awe, fear, and caution.
'Relax, I'm not an enemy.' Mewtwo cannot help but say with a bored sigh. Repeating these words every single time he teleported himself to a new place to help out with the Rocket problem is getting tiring.
"Why are you…"
'A friend of mine asked me to, so here I am, just be grateful.' Mewtwo replied with a snort as he took a quick look around him. According to Jayce's memories, when this world was simply a 2D game played on a handheld console his canon counterpart had made his home in the Cerulean Cave. That is not going to happen now, but he is still interested to see just what kind of place the Cerulean Cave is.
At the same time, Mewtwo mentally counted off the list of places he had paid a visit to thus far. Viridian, Pewter, Saffron, Celadon, Vermillion, Cerulean… Had he already visited Fuschia? Oh right, he hasn't. He still hasn't gone back to the Fuschia hideout where his body had been confined for close to two decades and wreck that wretched place into… well, a wreck.
Alright, he had decided. Next stop, Fuschia. Time to revisit the Safari Zone and give it some much needed love.
'Ahem. This is Mewtwo reporting in. Right now this glorious being has decided to go pay a visit to dear old Fuschia where we first met. You did say that Fuschia has some pretty good seafood, right? Maybe I should go net some for us to celebrate our victory later on? I'm craving for some chilli crab myself, even if I had never eaten it before. I will have to trouble you to cook it for me though... Oh, I know! Maybe I can go get ourselves some sake from Lavender to go with it, how about that? I have never tried getting drunk before!'
No response. Mewtwo isn't sure why he is still doing this in hopes that Jayce could hear him. Maybe he really can, just that he chose not to make a reply as per his usual gloomy self. In that case, then he will just have to annoy Jayce to the point that he has no choice but to tell him to shut up. That always works when it comes to trying to get a word out of Jayce whenever he is acting all moody.
Ignoring whatever Misty was yapping about, Mewtwo turned to take his leave to catch a glimpse of the rumoured Cerulean Cave before heading over to Fuschia. Jayce would probably need a place to hunker down and lay low for a moment right after this entire shitshow is over and now that he thinks about it, Cerulean Cave would be a perfect location to serve that very purpose. In that case, he might as well clean out that place for their use right now. It would barely take up five minutes of his time anyway. Fuschia can handle themselves for five minutes without him around.
Then, it snapped.
That tether of psychic connection that linked both of them together, had snapped.
His feet stopped moving immediately. For the first time in his short life he felt like he had lost all sense of direction. A sort of rage that he never experienced before is starting to bubble within him when he is starting to comprehend the implications of what he had just sensed. It's not pure undiluted rage that he is so familiar with whenever he imagined himself being controlled by that annoying one. No, this is different.
This time, his heart is experiencing an unprecedented feeling of hollowness, like something had been dug out and stolen from him. It's like a large gaping hole is continuously growing and cannot be filled no matter how hard he tries to.
He is angry, yet at the same time, he's not entirely angry. It's hard to put a finger on that messy swirl of emotions he is experiencing right now and all he knows for certain is that…
Jayce is no longer around.
His first and only friend, the person who saw him for who he really is and not what he is. The person who taught him about the ways of the world when he doesn't need to, showed him kindness when it isn't warranted, trusted him entirely when it could have easily backfired on him in the worst way possible when he was simply a monster made for war. That person shrouded with darkness which is the manifestation of the world's greatest evil and yet possesses the kindest heart he knew of, is gone.
Jayce is gone. Dead. Passed away. Murdered. Killed. He could word it however he wants but it's not going to change the fact that Jayce is not coming back. His psychic powers are absolute because as far as the extent of his knowledge goes, if that tether of connection that connects them together is gone then it really is gone.
Jayce is not coming back.
Giovanni. Team Rocket.
He was barely aware of the fact that everything around him in about a forty meter radius was being flattened into a crater until someone shot a Scald at him. He couldn't be bothered to deal with the perpetrator, that Scald didn't even tickle, he has more important things to concern himself with right now.
Jayce is dead.
Being the smart pokemon he is, he knows exactly why Jayce made him clean up the mess in Kanto instead of Johto. Right here is where he is the safest from the frontlines, away from Giovanni and his Executives so that the chances of him being recaptured is at the lowest. It is something Mewtwo knew but never pointed out due to his respect for Jayce but now, Johto is where he is heading right for.
Jayce's hard work cannot come undone. All of his sacrifices, they cannot be for nothing. He will not allow it to go to waste. Besides, Jayce is no longer around to scold him for his reckless behaviour anymore.
He let his powers teleport him to the highest point of Indigo. At the peak of Mt Silver, his psychic powers are unhindered as he managed to get a clear psychic scan of the happenings in the Johto region. The sudden influx of the large amount of information bombards his mind with the grace of a sledgehammer but it is nothing he cannot handle. He is Mewtwo, he is made for this. Like Jayce had said, he was made for greatness.
'ARGH!'
He let out his frustration and eradicated a nearby mountain that was unlucky enough to catch his eye when he was reminded once again of the loss of his only friend. He huffed for breath as he let the cold winds cool his temper. He is a psychic, he needs to let his rational mind do the thinking, not his irrational instincts. That was what Jayce taught him when he first lost his temper in a baby tantrum.
He let loose another burst of psychic power at the second reminder of the friend he had lost. Somehow, everything that comes to his mind now are all the things or words that Jayce had once done or said to him and it is driving him mad. Mad, in the definitions that means both anger and insanity.
Is this what it means to experience loss? Is this what Jayce experienced when he lost Jane? What does it mean for Jayce then, especially when he was the one forced to kill her with his own two hands and witness her very life flicker away into nothing?
Goddammit. This is not the time to be venting his anger on the mountains around him.
Mewtwo closed his eyes and tried to control his breathing. This is not the time to lose himself to rage and sorrow. He can grief later, now he has to ensure that Jayce's sacrifice will not be in vain.
When Mewtwo's breathing finally slowed to a stable rhythm and his temper had cooled enough to allow him to think logically, he opened his eyes once more and called upon his bottomless well of psychic power. In a flash, he is now at the outskirts of Olivine. According to his psychic scan, Olivine is under the attack of Zapmolcuno themselves and seeing the battle raging far ahead, Mewtwo can safely say that Olivine is in really big trouble thanks to an oversized poor imitation of a dodrio wrecking havoc.
What's with the annoying one's obsession with freakish scientific experiments anyway? Why create an oversized dodrio? Jeez, did he even see how ugly that oversized dodrio looked like? And that is supposed to be a Legendary pokemon? Are all Legendary pokemon that ugly? Now he feels insulted to be categorised in the same group as those hideous creatures.
Mewtwo was about to make a move when an unfamiliar voice reached his mind, disorienting him for a short second.
Is there nothing we can do to help that person out there? Someone? Anyone? Maybe a psychic is able to teleport that person there out of harm's way fast enough? Are there any psychics out there that can manage such a feat available? Will they heed my plea for help like they had always done? Is… Is there anything that I can do?!
Mewtwo blinked. Those were definitely the words of a human. Did someone just, somehow, speak directly into his mind without his explicit permission?
Interesting.
He turned his head towards the direction where that voice came from, mentally focusing on this newly established telepathic connection and trying to reach out to whoever had the ability to converse with him in this manner.
'This is most peculiar. I had never met anyone like you, someone who is able to speak directly into my mind without my permission.'
He could feel the surprise from the other party through the connection. Now that Mewtwo is paying attention, he finally figured out the location of this enigmatic human who is able to converse with him in this manner. Without further ado, he teleported to where he sensed this human to be at. He doesn't know how to explain it, but he has a strong feeling, an instinct, a sixth sense maybe, that meeting this person is important.
He ended up stumbling upon a group of people. Surprisingly enough, the person that was the source of that voice turned out to be a woman about Jayce's age. Her attire reminds him a little of those pesky scientists at the labs who love to poke stabby little pointy things into his body but he is more curious about the sense he got from the woman.
This woman's presence is… oddly comforting. It is almost compelling him to be able to trust her with everything even if common sense dictates otherwise. Logically, he shouldn't trust a stranger which he only just met, Jayce would reprimand him for his naivety if he does.
'You feel… special. Not like how my relationship with him is because this is clearly different, but you… Your presence gives me a sense of comfort, as if we can connect on a more… spiritual level. I may not yet know much about the world due to my age, but even I can tell that you are a very peculiar existence.'
He saw how the woman's eyes widened upon seeing him.
"M-Mewtwo."
Huh, so she knew who he really is at first glance? Interesting, how very interesting, but he has no time for that right now.
'Yes, that's me.' Mewtwo affirmed before deciding to introduce himself. Jayce did always say to be polite.
'Ah, where are my manners? I go by the name of Mewtwo. Yours?'
"S-Shannon Juniper."
'Greetings, Shannon. I suppose you have a way to deal with that oversized dodrio out there?'
Given the machineries strewn about and all the conversations about trying to find a way to stop Zapmolcuno that he had briefly overheard before everyone stopped talking upon spotting his presence, it is obvious that the people here are trying to help defend Olivine in any way they can. Mewtwo can respect that.
"Y-You mean Z-Zapmolcuno? Uh, yeah?"
'Direct all your knowledge about it to me. Just concentrate on conveying the relevant knowledge as how you would form a reply to me as though you are replying to a telepathic link. It will only take a second.'
Almost immediately, foreign knowledge not of his own started to flood his mind. How the researchers here had theorised about the formation of those annoying birds, how to theoretically undo their transformation, so on and so forth.
And hey, would you look at that? Even Fuji is here. Now if Blaine is here too, then he would have met all of his original creators that had played a role in conceptualising his creation.
"D-Did you catch all of it?"
'I did.' He replied to Shannon's query before turning to look at Fuji, who had gone silent upon spotting him.
'Fuji, one of my many creators. I have been anticipating our conversation for the longest time but alas, there are matters that require my urgent attention. Adios, humans, I have a world to save and anger to vent.'
He could sense it even from here. Zapmolcuno is focusing its rage on a certain somebody who Mewtwo is sure was one of the people who had helped freed him from that accursed M2 Bind. In that case, then it's only right that he repays the favour.
'I will take over from here.'
In a teleport, he had placed himself in between that yellow-haired human and the attack fired by the ugly looking legendary dodrio-like thing. A simple Psychic was all he needed to force the trajectory of the energy-based attack to shoot upwards into the sky instead, saving the human in the process.
"Mewtwo…?"
A quick glance backwards told Mewtwo enough of the state of the human. He is bleeding in several places, most notably the wound on his head. From the looks of it, it seems as if the human doesn't realise that he is injured himself. The adrenaline rush from the fight is probably the only thing keeping him conscious right now.
Considering that he is but a mere mortal, he had done well enough to hold his ground against this oversized dodrio. He can take over from here.
'Call this my repayment of the favour I owed you when you bust me out of the accursed M2 Bind back at Indigo Plateau earlier. Now, leave. From here onwards this will be the battle of the gods. I am angry and the oversized dodrio looks like it will make a very good punching bag to vent my rage. You mere mortals don't want to be caught up in it.'
Point made, he repositioned himself above Zapmolcuno in a split second and fired a Psystrike at where it hurts the most, trying to slam the ugly bird down into the sea. The bird (or is it birds? Does a three-headed bird count as a single or plural entity?) screeched and to its credit, managed to prevent itself from being pushed down into the waters through sheer might. Mewtwo frowned a little at the sight. He is still not at full strength thanks to that stupid M2 Bind and while he is confident in his ability, trying to put this bird in its place in his current condition is going to be a hassle.
'Oi, purple cat, push him here where I can grab him!'
The land expanded before rising as though it has a mind of its own, trying to grab onto the bird. The bird gave a powerful flap of its wings, breaking out of its confinement with an irritated hiss. Salvos of Dragon Pulse followed, bombarding the bird without giving it a chance to rest. The ground below morphed into countless arrows before firing themselves at the bird, temporarily knocking it back down onto the ground below.
'Finally! Quick, now!'
A black and green hound-like creature moved in a blur of speed while barking out orders. Mewtwo followed despite his annoyance of being ordered around by some random being but at the same time, curious about the revelation of another brand new species of pokemon that he had never seen or heard before. Just what is this pokemon? He should ask Jayce, maybe he would know-
Mewtwo's heart experienced a sudden twist once more at the thought. Ah, that's right. Jayce is no longer around.
'What are you spacing out for?! Quick, hit it while it's down!'
Mewtwo unleashed his strongest Psystrike as told and revelled in the screech of pain the bird let out. He's angry, and while directing his tantrum at a Legendary pokemon is not going to bring Jayce back, it does make him feel a little better, albeit temporarily.
Mewtwo stretched out his hand and condensed ghostly energies into a singular large orb that looked like a black hole from afar. With a roar, he threw the Shadow Ball right in the bird's faces just as the bird unleashed an Ice Beam. The clash of attacks resulted in a powerful blast being detonated right at Olivine's sea, vaporising a large amount of seawater in the process.
Rocks the size of meteors rained from above and pelted on the bird, no doubt the work of the hound-like creature. Mewtwo followed up with a Rock Tomb and aimed the attack at its wings. Hopefully, this will be enough to cripple it.
A powerful Shock Wave was released from the bird, blasting their combined attacks into smithereens. A large cone of flames was spewed out of one of the birds' heads and Mewtwo can only quickly erect a Light Screen to defend themselves from the sudden counterattack. The bird paid them no mind as its attention was brought back to Olivine City once more. They began to glow in what Mewtwo suspects is a sign of an incoming Sky Attack about to be unleashed.
'The city! This isn't good! Purple cat, can you do anything about it?!'
'My name is not purple cat. It's Mewtwo, you doggy!'
Mewtwo leapt into action as he used a Barrier, slamming the sturdy wall against the bird before the Sky Attack could be used. The hound-like pokemon snapped its jaws shut around one of the birds' wings with a Crunch, causing the bird to howl in pain before forcefully shaking the hound off and using Roost to heal itself back up.
'I'm not allowing you to use that again.'
Mewtwo immediately uses a Disable, disabling their opponent from being able to heal with Roost for the time being. The hound followed up with another Dragon Pulse, still trying to herd the bird as far away as possible from the city.
Mewtwo teleported right behind the bird and slashed at it with a Psycho Cut just as the hound knocked it back with a Dragon Tail. The bird seemed barely fazed at their combination attack as it started to rotate itself in what Mewtwo speculates is a Drill Peck.
It doesn't matter what move the bird uses, all he has to do is to stop it.
Walls of Barriers were erected just as the bird shot itself forward like a speeding missile. The Barriers broke one after the other but they were enough to slow it down significantly, enough for the hound to knock it around once more with those arrows he formed with its power over earth.
'Are you a Legendary pokemon too?' Mewtwo cannot help but ask. He cannot imagine this pokemon not being among the ranks of legends if this is the power it wields.
The doggy looked suitably stunned at his question.
'How can you not know who I am?! I am the dutiful overseer and omnipotent watcher of the world's ecosystem, your lord and saviour, the mighty Zygarde!'
'Zy...garde?' Mewtwo tilted his head a little in thought. Nope, never heard of it before.
'You-! GAH! What has the world come to if nobody ever recognises Le Porion anymore?! Damn it Arceus! Damn you!'
The bird began to shimmer in a blur of speed too fast for either of them to catch up. Mewtwo simply let out an unimpressed scoff before firing a barrage of Aura Spheres, each of the attacks managing to home in on the birds and putting its flashy display to a stop. The bird opened its jaws and began to gather an incredibly dense energy in the form of an orb of blindingly white light.
'Do not allow it to finish forming that attack! Stop it now!'
Mewtwo knows that the creature known as Zygarde is not fooling around when he hears the tone of its voice. The memories and knowledge Shannon had shared with him also told him enough to know that Zapmolcuno cannot be allowed to fire that attack if they want to protect what is behind them. With a mental thought, he brought himself right in front of the bird with a Teleport and physically snapped its jaws shut with a Mega Punch, interrupting the attack. However, the bird has three heads, and while Mewtwo was snapping the jaws of one head another managed to fatally stab him with a powerful Pluck.
'Purple cat!'
'My name is Mewtwo!' Mewtwo gritted out as the effects of Recover began to set in, healing his wounds in an instant. He had gotten careless, but at least he had managed to successfully interrupt that attack. Mewtwo righted himself in midair before unleashing another Psystrike, creating another psychic explosion.
'Good grief, those flappy birds fight as if they will never run out of steam.' Zygarde complained as it aided Mewtwo with Dragon Pulse. Its words suddenly reminded Mewtwo of the information he had gleaned from Shannon earlier, how could he forget about those?
'We need to separate them now! They are at their weakest whenever they try to do that white light attack, now is our chance!'
'Why didn't you say so earlier?!'
'I just remembered!'
'Then remember them earlier!'
'I would have if you stopped calling me purple cat you doggy!'
The both of them fired their most powerful attacks at Zapmolcuno once more. It had the desired effect of inflicting visible wounds on it, but they are still not getting any closer to separating Zapmolcuno back to their base forms.
'Oh for heavens' sake! Damn it Arceus, what were you thinking when you created those three in such a dastardly manner?! Were you drunk on your own piss when conceptualising their birth?! How on earth are we supposed to separate them?! You never told this faithful watcher anything about it!'
'Oh, you know of the God of our universe? The supposed Lord and creator of this world?'
'Of course I do! I have been telling you, I am Zygarde! What do you take me for?!'
'So, you are like… A prophet or sorts? Like Muhammad is to Muslims? Jesus is to Christians? Buddha is to Buddhists? Wait, is there even a hierarchy among legends? What would that make me then? Maybe a messiah? Like Jesus? Am I a pokemon equivalent of Jesus?'
'I don't know what the hell of a pokemon a Jesus is, but Le Porion will have you know that you can be my pet cat.'
'Cute, I don't want to hear that from a doggy.'
'I'M NO DOG!'
An Ice Beam interrupted their conversation. Rude.
'No seriously, back to business. If you know Arceus on a personal level, couldn't you just like,' Mewtwo gave a phone call gesture with one of his hands while erecting a powerful Light Screen to block all of Zapmolcuno's attacks it is attempting to rain down upon Olivine. 'I dunno, give our God a call and ask how we can beat this thing?'
'There's no goddamn signal where he's at!'
'Is that so? What a useless God. That settles it, I'm no longer a believer.'
Mewtwo's Light Screen broke into pieces at that very moment and the psychic pokemon was forced to teleport himself and Zygarde out of harm's way while redirecting Zapmolcuno's attack away from Olivine City with a powerful Psychic at the same time. This battle is starting to make him feel the strain on his mind, something which is supposed to be impossible considering the purpose he was created for.
It seems that the Bird's title of 'Legends' is really not up there for show after all.
Zapmolcuno opened its mouths to unleash another attack and Mewtwo was on the verge of creating more defensive barriers when pressurised blasts of air slammed into Zapmolcuno, forcefully pushing it away from Olivine. Zapmolcuno directed its rage towards the new player into the game, firing its attacks towards the direction of the sea where those air blasts came from.
'Oh finally, that's my human for ya! She finally managed to get Lugia to help!'
'Another legend?' Mewtwo asked curiously as he watched the brief exchange of power unfold right over Olivine's sea. A huge white bird is now fighting a three headed bird and is managing to hold its ground. From the looks of it, that white bird is a psychic as well and at first glance, is more adept at defence then he is.
Another bird. What is this? A bird fiesta?
A quick fiddling around also had Mewtwo realise that he could also tap into the telepathic conversation between the white bird and two other human females riding on its back.
'We need to find the ruby and sapphire crystals. They are essential for bringing them together and also to separate them back into their individual selves. I can only hold them back for so long before Thu-Fi-Zer becomes impossible to go up against, even for me.'
Ah, so Lugia does know the method to stop them. Thankfully, that is what he knows Shannon and her other human companions are doing right now.
'The humans are already hunting for those stupid stones. We just have to hold the oversized dodrio down until then.'
'And you are…?'
Mewtwo decided to teleport himself right beside Lugia, hovering in the air alongside it with its psychic powers. He spared a quick glance at the two humans before deciding that they are not worth his time. There are much more important things to do here.
So, he introduced himself.
'Mewtwo.'
'Ah, a pleasure to meet you. It's always nice to have a fellow psychic joining our ranks.' Lugia greeted back with a friendly tone just as Mewtwo spotted several elemental attacks flying their way.
'I wish I could say the same, but-' Mewtwo casually fired off another Psychic, stopping Zapmolcuno's attack in time.'- but right now I have nothing on my mind but to vent all my anger and frustration on this three-headed bird. I possess more than enough power to hurt it, so can I trust you to defend the city and the people behind us?'
He cannot focus his full attention on hurting the damn bird if he has to split his attention between the bird and protecting the city at the same time. If this white bird wants to help, it will be better if they can delegate their work for the sake of efficiency. The white bird's forte should be defense if its earlier display is of any indication, so it should be a better candidate as the protector of the city.
'I am referred to as Johto's Guardian of the Seas for a very good reason.'
'Good.'
With nothing left to worry about, Mewtwo teleported itself above the bird and slammed his attacks down with vengeance. Now, there's nothing left for him to worry about. Now, he can finally unleash his full strength without worries. There's no stopping him now and he will not stop until he has beaten this bird black and blue to rearrange its ugly mug and end this whole mess.
He is Mewtwo, a perfect being created to never know the meaning of defeat, only ever knowing the meaning of victory. He is created to be able to make even the Gods bleed.
He will win.
For Jayce, he will not accept any objections.
