"I… I didn't realize your fiancé was the Great D-dog Demon's son!" The demon said, stuttering a distance away. He dropped to his knees and lowered his head onto the soil. "F-forgive me! A-and I also d-didn't realize I trespassed! It was an honest m-mistake!"
A smile crept onto her lips, her eyes shining as she reveled in the sight of the cowardly demon. Finally, all this would disappear, and she'd finally catch a breather. In one day, she was pulled into the past, chased by bandits, and was nearly kidnapped by a demon! At least Sesshomaru was here.
An irritated noise reverberated from Sesshomaru's chest, and his glare intensified the moment he glanced back at the demon, but not before pushing Kagome away. "Let this be a warning. Should I ever see your face in my father's territory again, I will kill you. Leave."
And he didn't have to tell him twice. The demon darted off in a panic, flailing his arms as he ran before vanishing into the trees. After which, Kagome grinned at the sight of Sesshomaru's death glare. As terrifying as it seemed, she had missed it.
"Thank you, Sesshomaru!"
He turned, his expression barely wavering. "That goes for you as well, human," He said, and at her stunned expression, he continued. "Did you not understand my warning?"
Kagome held a hand up, sweat dropping. As much as she missed him, she wasn't too keen on his threat. "Uh… I did. But, Sesshomaru—"
"Do not speak to me as though you know me. You lack manners."
She bit her lip and glanced around. "And… leave where exactly?"
"Your village. Your home. Do not trouble me with your foolish inquiries."
"Right… but what if that demon comes after me again?"
He lifted a brow and stepped past her toward A-Un. "You're a strange one… Do you know who I am?" He asked, glancing over his shoulder. "The name you spoke a moment ago. Does it not frighten you?"
"No. Why would it? Aside from that, I'm in a bit of a bind, Sesshomaru. I'm not even sure where to begin—"
"Then don't. I'm not interested in your random prattling."
