Chapter 27
Leah's memory was slowly starting to come back. She started remembering everyone again along with her relationship with Spike. The only part was that seemed to be a struggle was that she felt like she was missing something. Spike was there for her helping her cope with things. He kept his distance until she started regaining more of her memory.
"Hey," Leah walked up to Spike.
"You alright?"
Her hand rubbed along his cheek then playing with his hair a little. "Memory is better, I'm feeling like myself. Thanks for being there, sorry if I was a mess," Leah said feeling bad.
"All of it was worth it my love," he took her hand in his.
"I've noticed you've been distant. It's understandable, I want you to know that I when saved you that day from being shot. I would do it again if I had to."
"Let's not do that again."
"Spike, shut up I wasn't finished." He sighed letting her finish.
"I love you, even though I may have felt happy at that one moment in heaven. It wasn't the same without you." His arm wrapped around her waist pulling her close to him. It was the first time in a while that he had shown any affection towards her. Her words meant everything to him reminding him why he loved her the way he did.
"I felt the same way when you were gone, the world meant nothing without you." He leaned in kissing her deeply on the lips missing this moment. It was difficult for him to keep his distance from her. He knew he couldn't hold back anymore wanting nothing more than to hold her, feel her closer to him.
Their kiss lasted a long time until they had to pull away seeing they were in Angel's office. "Maybe tonight we could be alone."
Spike knew what she meant by that. "Don't expect to be getting much sleep."
They both heard footsteps letting each other go. Spike still held her hand keeping her close to him. The good thing about her being back was he could still feel the connection they had together. It was there before her memory started to come back. Spike could tell everything about her was still the same by scent. If something about her would change he could easily figure it out.
Faith came in the room with Angel seeing her and Spike sitting on the couch. Leah stood up crossing her arms. "So are you here to help or here to beat on my husband?" Leah asked her.
"That depends," Faith shrugged.
"Spike is a lot stronger than you remember. Luckily he backed down, if you keep messing with him I will let him deal with you," Leah warned her.
"Not a problem."
"Keep talking slayer," Spike looked at her.
"Guys knock it off," Angel cut in between them.
"Oh my god your back," Harmony came in the room hugging Leah.
Leah lightly patted her back. "I'm fine." Harmony pulled back and Leah about choked on all the perfume she was wearing.
"I'm so glad," Harmony said nicely.
"Out." Angel ordered her.
"You're appointment is here." Harmony poked her head in.
A guy came in shaking Angel's hand noticing who was standing in the office. "Hello beautiful," he came up to Leah taking her hand in his kissing it.
"You are?"
Spike stared eyeing him annoyed that this demon was flirting with his wife. "Yours if you want me to be. How about dinner?" He offered her.
"Why not ask my husband?" Leah looked at Spike.
"She's yours?"
"Last time I checked. She's not interested mate." Spike looked at him annoyed.
"If you get sick of him call me," he handed her his card.
"Out." Angel looked at them.
Spike took her hand leading her out with him. Leah threw the card away in the trash can. "Jealous much?"
"Maybe a little, having a wife looking like you do makes me want to lock you in a room," he teased.
"Sounds fun, I could be your sex slave," she said seductively.
He wanted nothing more than to take her not caring who was around. He followed her away from everyone. "Don't tempt me."
"I know you have that bad boy still in you baby. You want me I can feel it," she whispered in his ear. Leah could hear his growl coming from within him. Spike felt his instincts kicking in grabbing her taking her to more secluded area of the building. He locked them both in a room and his lips crashed to hers literally ripping everything off her. Spike got on top literally riding her wanting nothing more than to take complete control.
Her moans filled the room while they made love. "You're mine love, you shouldn't play with fire." He whispered in her ear.
The whole time he was on top whispering things in her ear as he rode her. He felt her release many times. Feeling her like this felt like heaven to him. "I needed to get off some how," she said as he kept going. She could hear his moans seeing it had been so long for him.
Both of them found their release holding each other close. Spike remained on top of her feeling nothing but love and happiness once again. "I love you," he looked into her eyes.
"I love you," she kissed him before he got off her. They got up getting dressed before someone started to knock on the door. When they finished, both of them went back to the office seeing Angel still talking to the guy.
"Where were you guys?" Derek walked up to them.
"Roaming around," Leah answered him.
"I can't go into Angel's office right now. There is this girl I'm trying to help Angel with," Derek explained.
"Right, good luck with that one." Spike snickered.
"He met her at the bar and was attracted to her," Derek explained.
"There she is," Derek saw her right away waving.
"This is my sister and her husband Spike. This is Layla," he introduced her. They said hi getting acquainted with her.
"Hi, is Angel busy?" She asked them.
"Meeting," Spike answered her.
The man finally stepped out leaving his office. Layla was the first to walk in to talk to him. She a good looking girl with long brown hair and green eyes. It was nice that Angel really seemed interested in her. They seemed to have a good connection with each other.
"Leah I'm leaving you in charge tonight take Spike with you. I have a date, call me if there is an emergency." Angel looked at her.
"If we find Dru, I'm calling you." Leah looked at him.
"I have Faith helping too," Angel reminded them.
Leah got some things done around the office until it was night time. They closed up and she went on her usual patrol with Spike. Derek was already looking for Dru for them staying out of her way. They got a couple of vampires by the graveyard.
"I'm a little concerned about Faith helping." Leah looked at Spike.
"Right, she's a pain in my ass." Spike said puffing his cigarette.
"She doesn't have the strength you and I have. This isn't like before Spike, a slayer can't easily beat this guy or the rest of any other vampire he makes. Times have changed and they are getting harder to kill. We say we want to protect what we have left then don't let them fight." Leah said worried.
"I get what your saying but we need the help," he stopped her from pacing.
"I'm starting to realize now why they did what they did to me. I mean I'm a slayer who's barely human yet part vampire who can jump buildings and have extra strength. It's like this was all planned out." Leah said concerned.
"Hey calm down, theres no sense in getting worked up," Spike held her.
"Behind you," Leah saw a vampire behind Spike. He turned around punching it across them across the face grabbing a stake kicking him then was able to get a stake through him. He didn't die as Spike continued on fight him. Spike took out a vile of lighter fluid threw it at him then lit a match lighting him on fire. Leah had a large knife in her back pocket coming up behind him decapitating him.
The fire turned him to ash then it went out. "Let's go catch up with my brother." Leah took his hand heading to the bar he was at. Spike was first to spot him off to the side talking to people.
"Leah," one of her friends saw her.
He came up to her hugging her briefly. "Where have you been?"
"Working, and him," she looked back at Spike.
"He's adorable," he said seeing him.
"He's gay," Leah whispered to him.
That made Spike feel less jealous. "He is adorable." Spike heard her snickering a little. "I mean who can say no to this?" Leah kissed Spike's cheek.
They talked a little longer then they had moved on. "Was that nessary?" Spike asked her.
"What I can't brag?" He smiled at that appreciating that she bragged about him. Spike followed her through the crowd making it over by her brother.
"Haven't seen her," Derek sipped his drink.
"She's not here, I would know it," Spike looked around.
"Derek's phone rang seeing it was Angel. "Yeah?" He answered. "Nope, no sign of them." They talked a little more before hanging up.
"Angel said he would be with us tomorrow and to call it a night," Derek said relaying the message.
"He's too busy shagging," Spike rolled his eyes.
"Be careful come home soon," Leah looked at her brother worried.
Her and Spike left heading back to apartment. She hasn't been back in quite some time. When she opened the door, it felt great to be back. Spike removed his jacket setting it off to the side coming into the bedroom with her. She got her pajamas on getting into bed. Spike removed his clothes getting in bed. He held on to her enjoying their moment alone together.
"I missed holding you like this," he snuggled up to her.
"Me too." They enjoyed holding each other more than anything else. Spike took in every moment they had together. Leah meant everything to him being his happiness and the love of his life. As time had past, he never thought he would have anyone always being alone trying to live through his long immortal life.
"Maybe after all the good you've done is the reason why I found you," Leah looked at him.
"I don't know, for whatever reason I will take what I can get."
She kissed him a moment looking at him. "So what do you do just watch the world change all the time?"
"Yes, it get's lonely not having someone watching it with you," Spike played with her hair.
Spike was so loving and gentle with her when they would lay together. "If I was immortal I could be with you forever unless you get sick of me."
"No, my love is eternal." He reminded her.
