Caskett Meeting AU: Kate meets novelist Rick Castle at a book signing with her mother. Growing close in a short period of time, sparks fly. But when Rick returns from a book tour, everything has changed. Kate has left him completely in the dark questioning whether he had romanticized something that was never real to begin with.

27. Author's Note - Sequel

To everyone who hated the ending of 'When I Needed You', that was our intention. If we're being completely honest we just wanted to see what people's reactions would be if we ended it this way. They were exactly how we predicted them to be: angry and disappointed. So, that's why we hope you guys will be glad to know that we have a sequel in the works which will start being posted on Monday May 24th. It picks up directly after the end of 'When I Needed You' and continues Castle and Beckett's love story.

We would never leave and fanfic like that intentionally. We're sorry to have angered you, but we hope this makes up for it!
