Chapter 27

Summer BBQ at the Burrow

Severus and Draco apperated to the Burrow, the home of Mr and Mrs Weasley and walked towards the peculiar shaped home.

'All the Weasley's lived here?' Draco asked his Godfather.

'Every one of them.' Severus replied as he looked up at the tall house. 'Hermione use to stay here in the summer's I believe, as well and the Order also stayed in times of need. The Weasley's always made room.'

'Severus!' Arthur Weasley beamed as he saw Severus and Draco approaching the front of the house. 'Welcome, come on in.'

'Thank you Arthur.' Severus replied.

'Lovely to see you again Draco.' Arthur said as he held out his hand to shake Draco's.

'Thank you for having me Mr Weasley.' Draco replied as he shook the older man's hand. 'Lovely home you have here.'

'Thank you Draco. It's a bit large for just Molly and I now but it comes in handy when the Grandchildren visit.' Arthur replied smiling widely. 'Follow me, everyone is out the back.'

Severus and Draco followed Arthur through the large kitchen and out to the back garden. As soon as they reached the back garden they both stood in shock at the amount of red headed Weasley's and children.

'I hope you're up for a good clean match of Quidditch this afternoon Draco. It's tradition for mostly everyone to play.' Arthur said smiling.

'I'm looking forward to it.' Draco replied scanning the back garden for his dark haired beauty. 'Can you see Aubrey?' Draco asked Severus as Arthur Weasley walked away from them.

'You'd think she'd be easy to spot.' Severus replied also looking around the garden.

'Looking for me?' A voice said from behind them.

Severus and Draco turned around to see Aubrey stood behind them in a white summer dress with her hair cascading down in waves.

'Miss me?' She said smiling as she went to hug her father.

'A little.' He replied hugging his daughter. 'How was your night?'

'It was good. I stayed here with Victorie. I helped Granny set up this morning.' She replied.

'Granny?' Draco replied.

'Molly Weasley.' Aubrey replied. 'I've always called her Granny; they have been like Grandparents to me since birth. I'm an honorary Weasley; I just don't have the red hair.' She laughed.

'Ah Severus!' Molly Weasley practically screeched. 'I never thought I'd see you here again.'

'Hello Molly.' Severus said bowing his head in respect.

'So lovely to see you and welcome Draco.' Molly said smiling at him. 'It's lovely that you've come as well and we can get to know you.'

Draco smiled nervously. He knew what that meant. He was going to be grilled. He felt like a teenage boy again.

'Severus could you help Arthur, Bill and Harry with the marquee? They could probably do with some help. Every year they mess it up.' She said smiling

'Of course Molly.' Severus replied.

'Aubrey, why don't you introduce Draco to the family.' Molly said ushering them into the middle of the garden.

Severus walked off to help the men whilst Aubrey grabbed hold of Draco's hand pulling him in the direction of lots of red heads.

'Nervous?' She asked Draco who had stopped before reached the crowed.

'No.' He replied lying.

'They won't kill you.' Aubrey said as she leaned into him.

'I'm not so sure about that.' Draco replied smiling down at Aubrey. 'You look beautiful by the way.'

'Thank you.' She blushed. 'You look very handsome. I wish we were alone.'

'Me too.' He replied leaning down to Aubrey.

'Hands off my niece Malfoy.' A voice boomed.

'Uncle Ron.' Aubrey said as she turned around to find her Uncle Ron stood smirking at them.

'Weasley.' Draco said as he held out his hand to shake Ron's.

'Malfoy.' Ron replied shaking Draco's hand.

'Can you not call each other by your names?' Aubrey said rolling her eyes.

'Never.' Ron replied smiling. 'Hope you've brought your broom Malfoy.'

'You bet I have.' Draco replied. 'When does this match kick off then?'

'Usually after we've eaten.' Aubrey replied. 'Hopefully we're on the same team.'

'You play?' Draco replied.

'She's quite the player our Aubrey.' Ron replied smiling. 'Harry and I taught her to fly when she was three much to Hermione's displeasure.'

'She never liked me flying. I think she was secretly annoyed that I could fly and she was awful at it.' Aubrey said smiling.

'You must have taken after Severus on that front.' Draco replied. 'He was on the Slytherin Team when he was at School.'

'Was he?' Aubrey asked. 'Hopefully we can get him to play this afternoon.'

'This could be a very interesting game.' Ron smirked.

After being introduced to every Weasley known to man, Draco sat beside Aubrey and Severus and enjoyed some BBQ food. Draco felt like he had been grilled by every Weasley man over lunch and he could tell Severus was enjoying this way too much.

After they ate, Harry and Ron began to get the Quidditch match set up.

'Right, we have our usual teams however this year, let's mix things up. Professor, Draco, why don't you join Bill, George, Dad, Teddy and Victorie. Harry and I will have Ginny, Charlie, Aubrey, Angelina and Fred Jr.'

'You play?' Severus said to his daughter.

'Absolutely.' She replied grinning as her broom flew into her hands.

'Potter and Weasley have been flying with her since she was 3 apparently.' Draco replied standing up holding his top spec broom.

'I haven't played in some years.' Severus replied taking hold of his broom.

'We'll go easy on you.' Aubrey smirked as she took off leaving her Father and boyfriend to watch her.

'She's full of surprises that girl.' Severus said as he watched his daughter dart about on her broom.
