Chapter 27
Ash, Alice and Elena are now riding both Articuno and the Kantonian Zapdos as they finally arrive at the Motostoke City. Zapdos says, "So this is the Wild Area of the Galar Region?"
"Past the gate, it is the East Lake Axewell." Ash says as they head outside the gate. "So where is the Zapdos?"
"There it is." Alice says as they notice the Galarian Zapdos standing in front of them. She was facing backward them and she says, "If you can chase me, I'll give you a chance to battle me."
"Chase you?" Ash is confused as Zapdos tries to use Thunderbolt on the Pokemon, but much to their surprise, it dodges the attack and it starts to run away. "What the...how fast is that Zapdos?"
"Ash, Alice. The Rotom Bikes! We need to use them." Elena says as they get on their bikes as they try to chase the Zapdos. But no matter how they try to chase, it is not fast enough to catch up to Zapdos.
"This is getting a little crazy...that Zapdos sure is fast..." Ash says.
"If it keeps running, it might be tired out and that might be our chance to catch it." Alice says as they continue to chase after the Zapdos.
Once they finally see how Zapdos start to slow down, Ash says, "Zapdos, now it is your chance!"
Zapdos quickly rushes towards his cousin and it goes for the Pluck, causing the Zapdos to get hit and it gets backward. "Damn it...I was careless...but if it is my cousin, I accept the challenge."
"You are not going to beat me." Zapdos says as they stare at each other first. Articuno goes for the first move and it is Pluck, Zapdos gets hit by the attack and it is squawking in pain.
"Does that mean Galarian Zapdos is a Fighting Type? Then that move is going to get hurt." Elena says.
But it goes for the Counter Attack, and Zapdos is also getting a lot of damage. "Or maybe the Counter is going to be useful as well." Ash says.
"But still, Fighting and Flying Type is not going to be great against the others." Alice says.
Zapdos goes for the Rain Dance to create the rain, but Galarian Zapdos uses the Bulk Up to raise its Attack and Defense. Ash says, "Wow...they really have different moves after all."
Zapdos tries to go for the Discharge, but Galarian Zapdos manages to use Detect first, causing itself to be protected, and then it starts to jump on high and then lands a kick on the Zapdos, causing it to be in pain.
"What the...Is that High Jump Kick?" Ash asks, Zapdos says, "No, that is Thunderous Kick. The user overwhelms the target with lightning-like movement before delivering a kick. This also lowers the target's Defense stat."
"And Zapdos is a Physical Attacker, so it is not going to be good." Alice says.
Zapdos fires the Zap Cannon at the Galarian Form, causing it to take a lot of damage, but it is still not down yet. Ash notices the Galarian Zapdos is now paralyzed, and he says, "I almost forgot that the Galarian Zapdos is Fighting and Flying...of course it will get paralyzed."
Galarian Zapdos says, "Don't think I will be taken down easily." Then it rushes up and attacks the Zapdos, and Elena says, "That is Reversal, the less HP the stronger it is."
Both of them charge at each other with the Pluck attack, but in the end, Galarian Zapdos is defeated while Zapdos hasn't.
"I really hate having Flying Type as weakness, it makes me feel that I am the weakest of the six of us..." Galarian Zapdos mutters.
"It might be true, but your Fighting attacks are also strong as well." Ash says to Galarian Zapdos, who bows at him knowing that he is Arceus' son. After that, Ash tosses the Pokeball and captures the Pokemon in the end.
"Well, there is only one left." Ash says, and they decide to go back to Freezington to report to Peony about the Zapdos.
"Wait-you really caught Zapdos from the legends?! That's ultra-mega-brilliant! Report away! Hmmm... So that's Zapdos, is it? The Legendary Pokémon that can cause thunderstorms? I definitely see the resemblance, but those legs look thicker than I expected... and it's not exactly electrifyin', is it? Oh well! It's as spiky and as long-beaked as I hoped for! That's Zapdos enough for me, I s'pose. Let's mark this expedition complete!"
Once they are done, they are outside as Zapdos and Galarian Zapdos are waiting for them along with the Articuno. Elena says, "First we have a Psychic Type Articuno, and then we have a Fighting Type Zapdos...I am going to wonder what is the type of Moltres..."
"I am sure that it will be obvious, considering that the type might be the same as the Kalos Starters." Alice says.
"Yeah." Ash says, "So where is the Galarian Moltres?"
Moltres comes out of Ash's Pokeball and it says, "That will be in the Isle of Armor."
"Okay, then let's head there." Ash says as they all head there.
When they finally get to Isle of Armor, they are looking around for the Galarian Moltres, but they didn't see it anywhere. Moltres says, "Galarian Moltres is a tricky one, but I am sure that she must be here somewhere..."
"I think I saw it." Elena says as she points at the ocean, where the Pokemon is flying. "That blackness of the Bird really is a sight to see."
"Yeah, but how are we going to catch its attention?" Ash asks.
"There is one thing about Galarian Moltres and that is it doesn't like to lose, so what we need to do is to go past it and then it will accept our challenge."
Ash, Alice and Elena nod as they wait for Moltres to fly towards the land, and then they start to run from the Galarian Moltres, causing it to get annoyed. She yells, "Are you having those people do that to me? I am going to beat you to a pulp!"
Moltres says, "I'll see you try." But it gets punched by the face as it flies backward. Ash says, "Sucker Punch, definitely a Dark Type..."
"So it really forms a type circle with Fighting, Psychic and Dark..." Alice says, "Just like Chesnaught, Delphox and Greninja."
"Now it is not the time to admire." Elena says as they see Moltres using Incinerate on the Galarian Moltres, who get angry at the fact that the move also burnt the Sitrus Berry.
"Now you have done it." Galarian Moltres yells as it shoots out black flames, and it covered Moltres like it was in jail. "Wow...so that is the Signature move for Moltres..." Alice says.
"Fiery Wrath is the name. The user transforms its wrath into a fire-like aura to attack. This may also make opposing Pokémon flinch." Moltres says as the Galarian Form goes for the Nasty Plot, raising its Special Attack.
Moltres gets back up and it goes for the Heat Wave, but the Galarian Form just dodges it. Moltres says, "If I want to win this, I'll need to use this."
It goes for the move Burn Up, which makes it lose the Fire Type Ability, but much to everyone's surprise, Galarian Moltres goes for the Sky Attack, which deals a lot of damage.
"This battle sure is intense." Ash says, but in the end, Galarian Moltres faints after being hit by Moltres' Sky Attack.
"You really are annoying sometimes, but then again, you are my cousin after all." Galarian Moltres says, "It is nice to meet you, Chosen one."
Ash says, "It is nice to meet you as well." Then he captures the Moltres as they all head back to the Freezington for the final entry.
"Wait-you really caught Moltres from the legends?! That's ultra-mega-brilliant! Report away! Hmmm... So that's Moltres, is it? The Legendary Pokémon that's the embodiment of fire? I definitely see the resemblance, but it's not at all hot to the touch... Kinda looks like it'd be more at home with the punks in Spikemuth than in a volcano, doesn't it? Oh well! Looks a bit like it's burnin' if you don't look too close! That's Moltres enough for me, I s'pose. Looks like you've reported all there is to report on Legendary Clue 3 and the legendary birds! Smashin'! I'll mark this expedition done!"
"So that is all the Legendary Clues you gave us, Uncle." Elena says.
"Huh? Well, how 'bout that, Chief! Looks like that was the last bit of the grand Peony Adven-tour that I had for you! Whoooooo! Now this is an occasion! What's the word? Ultra-mega-epic! Your passion for all this caught me off guard, Chief, Ash, Alice... This whole Adven-tour thing was built out of a load of rubbish I scraped together. Even I had my doubts about the whole thing. But you? You went at it with a ton of energy! You don't s'pose those Pokémon you caught were really the one in the legends, do you?"
"We do catch those Legendary Pokemon after all." Alice says. "But I am not sure it will be good to show them here..."
"Nah, actually, never mind. You don't have to tell me anything! A look at your face tells me everything I need to know, Chief, Ash and Alice. I can tell that you must've done some ultra-mega-epic explorin'! And whatever you discovered on your way... that's a special treasure just for you! I'm not about to rain on your parade by bein' nosy and askin' silly questions! Well, Chief Elena, Ash, Alice... Thanks for stickin' around and finishin' every part of my Adven-tour! I want you to have this. Consider it my way of sayin' "thank you"!"
They get the rare League Card of Peony and they thank the said person. "Hmmm... But I can't shake the feelin' I'm forgettin' somethin'..."
Just then, Peonia rushes inside the house and she says with an angry face, "Ugh. Daaad! People can hear you all the way outside, you know!"
"Peonia!" Elena says. "My darlin' Nia!" Peony adds.
"Huh! This place isn't bad! So this is where you're staying? Oh hey, Ash! Alice! Elena! Fancy meetin' you outside the Max Lair for once!" Peonia says.
"Yeah, it sure has been a while." Ash says.
"Hehe! You're really on my wavelength. So you actually kept my old man company! Cheers, I owe you one! I've had my fill of Dynamax Adventures now... So I thought I may as well try one of that what-d'you-call-'em tours my old man was going on about." Peonia says.
Peony is surprised and Ash, Alice and Elena don't know how to say, since they have already finished the quests.
"Huh? What? Why'd everyone suddenly go quiet?" Peonia is confused, and then Peony rushes towards his daughter and says, "H-hold on! Gimme just a mo! I'll come up with some new legends straightaway! You'll have your adventure, Nia! A nice father-daughter expedition! Finally!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Wait one second! You'll "come up with" legends? Also, that's way too close! I need some personal space here!" Peonia says back at Peony.
"R-right! First things first! I've got something for you, Nia... Here! I made this brilliantly shiny explorer's outfit for you! You can get changed while I come up with somethin'."
He takes out a Golden outfit that forces Ash, Alice, Elena and Peonia to cover their eyes at the glow. "What in the world?! Are you trying to turn me into a disco ball or something? Why have I got to wear this golden one when yours is normal? Even my cousin is wearing a normal one as well!"
"Gahahaha! Isn't it obvious? You're my darlin' daughter!" Peony says as he does his usual pose. "I want you to shine so brightly that everyone notices you!"
"Ugh! It's things like this! I've changed my mind! Here-you can have this!" Peonia gives the clothes to Elena, causing Peony to frown, "Huh? But why?"
"I'm heading back to my own adventure! Time to catch some more Dynamax Pokémon!" Peonia says as she rushes out of the house.
"No! Come back, Nia! No need to be so rebellious! I know you really love me! Don't you?! Agh! Sorry for the sudden commotion, Chief! It was a blast explorin' with you! You're free to keep usin' our base camp, of course! Anyway, time for me to go spend some quality time with my darlin' daughter! Hold on, Nia! Wait for me!" Peony says as he also rushes out of the house.
Ash, Alice and Elena look at each other, and Elena says, "Well, I guess this is it?"
"I think so." Alice says, but then they notice a paper on the floor, and she says, "What is that?"
"Don't tell me that it is the fourth Legendary Clue." Ash says as he picks up the paper, trying to find out what it is.
The third Legendary Clue is done, but that doesn't mean the whole Crown Tundra Story is finished. There are some more, such as the Max Lair Legends, Sonia's request, and even the Galarian Star Tournament that will be coming soon, so I hope you like this chapter.
