And we are back with our dose of some literal 'TOTAL DRAMA'! Haha. This chapter starts off right where the previous chapter ended. Hope you all enjoy it!
({No POV})
Kelsey was making her way back up the stairs, deciding to join the 'leave the dining room to avoid listening to CJ talk' train that everyone was slowly but surely joining.
Her grandfather being the first to go to the kitchen to drink whiskey by himself and gain distance, Damien soon followed and most likely went to lock himself in his room to play video games like usual, and Alejandro and Heather left as well and Kelsey couldn't care less where they went.
And since José left to go to the bathroom and seemed to wander off somewhere… she wasn't going to stick around and wait for the inevitable 'CJ and Megan show' with them trying to vie for their parents' attention.
So she figured she'd just go up to her room and wait for José to eventually show up to help her pass the time.
Kelsey got to the top of the stairs only for Heather to shove her aside, her purse in hand, and a look that could only be described as pissed off determination written on her face as Heather snapped, "Move it."
Right as Kelsey was about to snap right back at her little sister, she saw Alejandro eventually stride out of the room and look over the bannister on the loft at Heather making her way to the door, throwing her coat on almost aggressively. Then before anyone could make any sudden movements, Heather threw open the front door and slammed it shut behind her.
She was frozen for a second in confusion.
But right as it looked like Kelsey was going to roll her eyes, she heard someone let out a grunt through their nose. She looked up to see everything about Alejandro's demeanor radiating nothing short of infuriated frustration as he continued to narrow his eyes at the front door and run a hand through his hair.
After surveying the situation and reading the room, it wasn't hard for Kelsey to assume that Heather and Alejandro 100% got into a fight… and she was about to take FULL advantage.
She tried to hold back her smirk as she slowly made her way over to a slightly distracted, angry, and still zoned in Alejandro.
Kelsey leaned next Alejandro on the bannister and remarked, "Is that friction I see between you and my sister?"
She was thrown off for a moment as Alejandro immediately snapped his head over to give her an annoyed glare as he countered, "With all due respect, I fail to see how this is any of your concern."
Kelsey backed up, replanning in her mind, until she responded, "Geez, no need to be so touchy. I'm only saying I get it. Trust me, I had to deal with her and all her bullshit for 21 years. Even before she peaked, she's always been totally full of it."
Alejandro's look slowly morphed from irritated and angry to suddenly looking almost inquisitive at Kelsey's 'wording', as he expressed, "Peaked? You mean after her time on the show?" Almost reflexively, Kelsey let out a laugh.
Partially laughing since Alejandro's guess was WAY far off; but also, because Alejandro was inadvertently going exactly where she wanted him to go.
Kelsey gave him an amused look as she started, "Seriously? You really believe I'm talking about the show? HA! Oh, you have no idea…"
Alejandro was slowly becoming irritated again as he crossed his arms and quirked up an eyebrow, not liking whatever Kelsey was playing at to make him look like a fool at the moment, as he responded sharply, "Then would you please care to 'enlighten me'? Because if all you're going to do is insult Heather in front of me… I'd choose your words quite carefully."
Kelsey, deciding to take advantage of this rare state from Alejandro (though still surprised to see him come to Heather's defense despite how angry he seemed with her), simply smirked and remarked in an almost sly and coy manner, "Well, it's not for me to say… But, let's just say there seems to be a lot about my sister that you don't know? I mean, at least from how I'm seeing it… it seems like Heather's been hiding things from you. Things that I think you'd be very interested in."
Alejandro continued to hold his ground, but continued to maintain his guard with Kelsey as he responded, "How so?"
"'Meaning' that my sister wasn't always 'what she's like' now." Kelsey alluded with a coy smirk and looked as if she was about to walk past him until she put a hand on his shoulder as she continued, "But, whatever? Like you said, it's not my business really, but… maybe you should find out for yourself."
After that, Kelsey walked off and into her room as she shut the door behind her.
Alejandro; meanwhile, was in a pensive and frustrated state until he eventually shook his head and went to the bathroom, hoping washing his face would help clear up his thoughts.
20 minutes later just outside Heather's hometown
(Heather's POV)
Ugh, I had to get out of that damn house.
Even before Alejandro, CJ being an annoying dipshit like he always has to be at every holiday was just way too much.
Ugh… stupid jerk!
Who the hell does he think he is to want to make me give into all his trivial emotional needy-ass communication crap?!
Ugh… whatever…
I just had to get out of there. And luckily I knew just the place to go where no one would be today. Even though I haven't been out here in years… namely since that time I totally ditched Brian Cantor's bare ass out here in grade 10.
Thompson Woods.
And truth… ditching his naked butt out here was almost worth suffering through one of the worst and most disgusting make out sessions I've ever been a part of.
Actually it was totally worth it after that dick-wheel decided to call me 'a cow' in grade 7.
Bet he regretted that after getting tazed on his ass cheek by the cops when he was trying to get home by running naked through downtown.
Ha! Sucker…
Though honestly it is weird to be back here.
Yeah, Thompson woods is our local forest preserve, but really it's just a place where horny teenagers go to hook up and make out in their cars in the parking lot once 6 PM hits.
But, Christmas day in the middle of winter?... I highly doubt anyone would be out here.
Which is great, because I just want to be left alone without any interruptions.
I sat back in my car seat and closed my eyes, trying to get my thoughts together. Well, at least make my thoughts less of a total shit show at the current moment.
But, it was short lived after only 30 seconds of silence as I heard music blaring even outside my car as a dark blue sedan practically drifted into the other end of the parking lot.
Ugh, who the hell could possibly be here on?!...
Wait…
The familiar car, the license plate number, the loud and annoyingly crappy music blaring from the car…
Damien.
What the hell is that twerp doing here?!
I was about to roll my eyes and drive somewhere else since the whole reason I drove away to get away from all the bullcrap at home, until I noticed something.
Well first I saw the car shift slight toward the driver's side then noticed what was clearly two silhouettes through the slightly tinted back window.
Even though there was a part of me that couldn't give a flying crap about what Damien does… but whatever? I don't have anything better to do.
Besides, I want to see what kind of total train wreck this whole situation is.
Especially since some loser was clearly desperate enough to hook up with my twerp brother in his car in the woods.
Ha! This should be good…
I got out of my car and started making my way over. The music was off and all I could hear were my boots crunching on the fresh snow, well at least until I got near Damien's car and two muffled laughs coming from inside the car.
I got to the driver's side where the car was leaning ever so slightly more toward and stopped dead at seeing Damien clearly pressed to the driver's side door and sucking the face off of some girl I couldn't get a clear look at.
Either way…
Ugh, barf…
As much as I wanted to walk away, we'll see how he feels when he has his make out session interrupted.
I noticed the doofus didn't lock the door to his car when he parked and since he or whoever that is didn't seem to know I was there, I smirked as I grabbed the door handle to the car quickly opened it.
Immediately Damien and whoever was with him fell out of the car and into the snow as both of them yelled almost simultaneously as they scrambled to get to their feet, "WHAT THE HELL?!"
I smirked and was about to make a remark until I felt my entire being contort in confusion at who I saw with Damien.
Pin straight dark brown hair, brown eyes, and lanky as all get out.
Even though I hadn't even seen her in like 5 years… I knew her all too well after all the times I enlisted her 'services' to help me screw over her sister in a pinch.
Jaime Sherman.
Well, I know some of you are thinking what the hell I'm doing right now? Especially after the 'dramatic fallout' of the last chapter, but just believe me when I say that this is just the calm before the storm. Because believe me, the drama is coming. And when it does… well, you'll just have to wait and see. It's okay, you all can throw virtual tomatoes at me. You have my permission. Lol. XD Anyway, the main take away from the end of this chapter is Damien. Throughout this story, I have been alluding to the fact that something, or more specifically someone, had seemed to catch Damien's interest beyond usually not caring about anything other than basketball or video games. Specifically, Damien has been dating none other than Heather's high school rival's (Macie Sherman's) younger sister and Damien's old classmate and basketball rival; Jaime Sherman. Unlike her more 'prissy, preener' mean girl older sister, Jaime's a more of a sporty, 'tom-boy' type that was captain and point guard of the girl's basketball team in high school like Damien was for the boy's team. However, the two didn't really seem like 'friends'. Mainly that Damien couldn't stand her back in school after she beat him in a school free throw competition that Jaime always liked to hang over his head and tease him over it constantly. That and she, much like Damien, had no qualms with selling out and torturing her older sister Macie… which partially and ironically got her in Heather's good graces for helping her. Lol. XD Well… at least he couldn't stand her until recently it seems. Haha. ;) Since I'm giving minor focus on Alejandro and Heather's pasts and families in this fanfic and the fact that Damien has been apart of this fanfic series since Chapter 2 of "Propositions and Conniptions" along with being a canon member of Heather's family… you bet that Damien wasn't going to be left out from getting some kind of a micro-storyline of some kind. But, don't worry, Aleheather will return and it looks like Kelsey's 'seeds of doubt and BS' have been planted in Alejandro's head. Where will that lead? Stay tuned friends. ;) Thank you so much for reading and constructive reviews are always appreciated. Hope you all are continuing to stay safe and well.
Stay classy all!
