CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

After a few seconds and before anyone could answer me I realized what I had done. I had started off talking to them and switched to talking to Atlantis as certain information became available to me before remembering something and switching the conversation back to the others.

I rubbed the back of my neck feeling a little sheepish and shrugged,

"I have about a hundred different thoughts running through my brain constantly and each one can switch at any moment. It's like watching and listening to a hundred different channels at the same time and yet the channels flip themselves at random times. I wish there was a way I could just push it all out and have only my thoughts and the faint static like thoughts of the other Ancient brains in my head so I could pull in only the information I'm searching for at any given time but….hey I wonder if I could do that? Excuse me for a moment while I try." I said plopping down to the ground and sitting in a meditative pose as I tried to focus inward.

Putting a TV screen behind each of my multiple trains of thoughts I was able to slowly eliminate them until there was just two jumbo TV screens in my head, one with my own current thoughts and the other with a static like screen with faint Atlantean text on it coming from the other brains of Atlantis. Pulling out of my brain I felt my smile lighting up my face in joy as I opened my eyes and jumped up in excitement.

"I DID IT!" I exclaimed happily, grabbing onto the closest person and giving them a tight hug kissing them on both sides of their face in pure joy as my head felt so much lighter without all that information constantly running through my brain.

"My brain feels so weightless now...I can't believe how much crap was going through my head..." Shaking my head in amazement I crossed my legs and floated mid-air pulling my notebook back towards me and looking over the rest of the rules I had written down.

"I don't think I'll need any of these other rules...nope the first two should be the only two." I said after flicking through the twelve pages of rules.

"While I'm very happy for your mental breakthrough I still have many questions I would like you to answer, however as the Wraith will be upon us within the next week and a half most of them will have to wait." Doctor Weir said, pulling my attention towards her as I put down the notebook.

"Sure, ask away." I told her as I placed my feet on the ground and let go of the telekinetic grip I had on myself.

"Okay well first what you said about the Wraith not that long ago. Are the Wraith really Ancients?" Doctor Weir asked, sounding confused, curious and more than a little skeptical.

"I'll tell the six of you guys but I think that everyone should hear about this after we win against the Wraith because this is going to make shock waves across the Pegasus Galaxy." I told her seriously as I pulled a large screen towards me and touched it, pulling up all the information of the Wraith in the database. The lies the Ancients had spread about the Wraith and the truth of what really happened.

"From what I know almost every planet, if not all of them that have a sentient native race, believes that the origin of the Wraith is from an Iratus bug that one day began feeding on the humans that were visiting the planet. And somehow over time the Iratus bug began to take on advantageous human characteristics, such as larger brain mass, bipedal locomotion, and opposable digits. Then one day the Iratus bug humanoids now named the Wraith, decided to go to war with the Lanteans and started to feed upon the humans of the Pegasus Galaxy in their hunger." I said pausing and Teyla spoke up,

"Yes that is what my people believe, we have been told that for generations."

I nodded, "You know who started spreading those lies? The Ancients. They wanted to cover up the fact that the Wraith were actually created by them around nine hundred years before Atlantis was abandoned. You see, in an effort to make themselves immortal in case they couldn't Ascend, the Ancients began experimenting on transforming themselves into immortal beings. The Ancients built a facility on a frozen planet where they experimented on one hundred male and one hundred female test subjects taken from around the galaxy and a few Ancients that were willing. While they started testing they also created a weapon that would wipe out their test subjects if they ever lost control of them. All but nine of the females died in the experiment while ninety-nine of the males survived." I paused here showing them some footage that the Ancient still had of those experiments before continuing on.

"Under the testing the Wraith began developing the characteristics and powers. Eventually, the Wraith learned how to use their telepathic abilities and tricked the guards into releasing them. The Wraith then stole the weapon that could kill them and the facility's ZPM before escaping through the Stargate to Athos. The Ancients chased them, but by the time they reached Athos, the Wraith were gone. The Ancients continued to chase the Wraith around the Galaxy but eventually the Wraith were able to steal some more primitive ships from other planets and hide the ZPM and weapon that could cause their destruction. It is said that a mollusk creature called a Cair Leonid became the basis for their hive ships which they made themselves." I stopped talking for a second as I brought more information to the screen before continuing my explanation,

"The Wraith eventually split into various bands and the original nine females became the first Wraith Queens also known to the Wraith and their worshippers as the First Mothers, while the 99 males became their commanders and soldiers." I said watching all of their faces change to horror and disbelief as they realized the truth.
