Lauren – The Next Morning

It was just after 9 in the morning when I woke up to an empty bed and headed downstairs to find Bo. Bo woke up before me which isn't surprising considering she never woke up after falling asleep on the back porch while I woke up close to midnight and got us upstairs, into one of guest bedrooms. Then, I watched her sleep for about an hour before falling asleep again myself.

When I hit the button steps Bo was coming back inside from the back porch with giddy excitement. "Hi." I greeted her as she grabbed my hands. "Hi, I just fed the ducks outside, they're so cute!"

I chuckled, she's so adorable with her childlike excitement over feeding ducks. "That's great babe. What do you want for breakfast?"

"Oh, I beat you to it! I made some pancakes about 5 minutes ago before I took a minute to see and feed the ducks."

Bo led me towards the kitchen/dining room. She had me sit down at the table while she quickly grabbed two plates of pancakes with eggs and bacon. "Oh crap, I forgot the coffees!"

"That's okay, I'll grab them." I was already up and heading to the coffee pot with the freshly made pot of morning goodness. "Thanks babe."

"No problem." I quickly pour 2 cups of black coffee before meeting Bo back at the table. "Thanks…Mmmm…Coffee…" Bo sipped her Cup of Joe with more joy.

I quickly stole my morning kisses when she put her cup down. "Mmmm…Kisses…" She muttered in between kisses.

We broke apart to eat our breakfast in a comfortable silence with little conversation here and there before Bo changed the atmosphere with the tone of her voice. "Lauren?"

"What's wrong, Bo?"

"I know I'm not supposed to ask and you're not allowed to tell. But…any idea when this assignment will be over? And have you been in any real danger since you started?"

I sighed as we made eye contact. "You're right, I can't really answer any of them. The best I can say is with Vex's help the search for the criminals are going faster than expected and I have yet to come home to you injured and I will do my best to keep it that way…So, what do you want to do today? We could go hiking or fishing or something?"

She didn't like that I didn't answer. But she knew I had no choice. So, she just gave me a small nod and went with my change of topic. "Hiking sounds good. Get back to nature and all that."

Several Hours Later

"I…think I'm- I'm dying…Getting…back to…nature sucks!" It was very hard not to laugh at my exhausted girlfriend who is all but laying on the trail that we're on. Well…at least we're surrounded by nature in the woods.

"Babe, would you like me to carry you now?" This is the third time I've asked her this question. But…I'm pretty sure she's going to say yes this time.

Bo looked up at me from her seat on the ground with a pout. "Yes…" I scooped her up in my arms with a happy chuckle.

"Babe, we've been hiking for almost 3 hours now. How are you not exhausted like I am?"

"Simple. I'm a Marine that works out everyday. And I watch over a celebrity that's a bit of a handful. Pun intended."

That little joke got me slap on my shoulder. "I'm just kidding, love. But in all seriousness, I did used to work out almost 4 hours a day, everyday. So, that would be why I'm not tired while your legs seemed to have turned into goo."

"How can you be so sure that my legs turned into goo? How do you know that I'm not faking this just so you'll carry me in your arms the rest of the way? I am an actress after all."

I laughed, "Doesn't matter, I love holding you in any way. Bo, look at the huge trees surrounding us. It's so peaceful out here."

"Yeah…Beautiful too." She agreed as we really took in our surroundings. "Okay, I take it back nature doesn't suck and getting back to nature is pretty great, especially now that you're carrying me."

Hour and a Half Later – Vex's Residence

Before we got home Bo insisted that we stop for milkshakes. She killed hers before killing the rest of mine just as we entered the front door. "What do you want for dinner?"

I looked at her with disbelief. "Babe…you just had about two and a half large milkshakes. How are you hungry?"

She shrugged as she looked in the fridge and pulled out the two steaks out that were put in there for the weekend. "Truth be told, lately…I haven't been eating as well as I usually do when you're not around. And then when you are around I just get hungry often. I guess from not eating as much as I should on a daily basis."

"Oh.." Bo heard the guilt in my voice as she shut the fridge and turned around to look at me, grabbing my hands. "Don't…it's not your fault. I didn't even realize I was doing what I was doing till recently. I promise then I'll get my eating habits back on schedule. Just don't blame yourself because it's not your fault, okay?"

She kissed my lips and my guilt away. My hands wanted to slip to her hips but, I wanted to make sure she got the food in her that she clearly needs. So, as much as I didn't want to, I pulled away.

"Food first, sweetheart. Dessert later. Come on, we'll cook dinner together." She smiled with her forehead against mine. "Okay."

2 Hours Later

We decided to eat dinner in the living room to be able to talk and watch TV on the couch with massage features. "Okay, I'm officially stuffed." I proclaimed as I couldn't contain a small burp.

Bo giggled at my baby burp. "Me too. So, full I can't even move. Ohhh! Mulan is playing next! I love Mushu! Oh, babe, can you grab us the tub of coffee ice cream from the freezer?"

I looked at her with disbelief again before I just laughed it off. "Your wish is my command. I'll be right back."

We detangled from each other. Then, I quickly got the ice cream to get back in cuddle and feed each other mode with my girl. "Mmmm…Yum…"

"Yeah…" Was all I could say as I admired her beauty while she watched her favorite childhood movie start playing. "I love you, Bo."

She looked up to me for a moment with a gorgeous smile. "I love you too, Lauren." Our gaze lasted another moment before she broke it to watch Mulan.

But, unlike her, I just couldn't stop looking at her. She's just so…So…
