"What is Jasper doing on earth?!" Pearl gasped loudly.

The whole group was standing inside the barn, completely in panic.

Amethyst shrugged, hands dug inside her pockets. "I don't know. Maybe she's like, I don't know, visiting?" She asked.

"Visiting?!" Pearl gasped in annoyance.

"Pearl." Garnet's voice deepened to calm Pearl down.

"Amethyst. Did you see Spinel anywhere?" Pearl asked Amethyst.

Amethyst shrugged. "Nah, I don't think so. Like, I didn't see or hear anyone else." She answered.

"Hey, you guys. I think I have missed a whole lot here." Andy said, hands on his hips. "How about you fill me in on this Jasper fellow, eh?"

"Jasper is an ex-soldier who travels through galaxies to capture creatures and unusual gems and sells them to a facility in space." Pearl explained, showing a hologram of the facility through her gem. "She came to earth a couple months ago and captured Garnet, and we met her again, fighting Amethyst in an Kesshō Tatakai." She then showed a hologram of the dome Amethyst had fought in.

"What's that?" Steven asked.

Pearl's hologram disappeared. "It's an ancient gem ritual, only made for the elites to enjoy. Gems locks in less important gems into a dome, and the elites debts on which gem to survive. It has been illegal for over 4.000 years, and many gems have been shattered trying to survive." She explained dramatically.

"But what is she doing here?" Greg asked, lifting a hand.

"Well, she wasn't here to be a tourist. That's for sure." Bismuth began, gritting her teeth in thought.

"How's the future vision going, Garnet?" Pearl turned towards the fusion behind her.

Garnet hummed, leaned against the wall with crossed arms. "No ships has exit the atmosphere."

"That means she's still on earth." Pearl was starting to get nervous and her hands started shaking. "If she came to earth only to harm Amethyst, she already would have long ago. So there must be another reason she is here." She thought loudly.

"The cluster..." Steven said beneath his breath.

"What?" Everyone turned their attention to the boy in question.

"Jasper is capturing creatures and unusual gems and sells them." Steven began to explain. "What is more unusual than an entirely new gem-kind?!"

Everyone seemed to get more alarmed after that.

"She must be looking for the cluster." Peridot confirmed, putting a hand on her chin.

Garnet seemed to get more focused by that sentence. Her gems lit up but nobody seemed to notice.

"But the Cluster dripped down the drain, right?" Amethyst began confused. "How did she know it got down here on earth?"

"We can figure that out later. Jasper is somewhere on earth and is looking for 'Sophie'." Steven stated and took a step forward.

"He's right." Garnet stood up straight, showing up her... swollen form. "For whatever reason she's here, she's not here with friendly intentions." As if to amplify her point, she looked down at the small quartz.

"What did she do to you?" Pearl asked the purple gem.

Now everyone looked at the purple gem as well.

Amethyst felt the pressure and turned her head away. "Hey, it's nothing. Okay?" She muttered.

When suddenly, Garnet grabbed and pulled off her hood.

Her usually long, beautiful hair was now one big pile of mess. Her left side had some bald patches on the scalp and the right side was half the length it used to be and cut in one big mess.

Everyone gasped. Pearl covered her mouth with her hands.

"Amethyst..."

Amethyst blushed heavily and pulled the hood back on and put her hands back in her pockets.

"We need to do something." Garnet confirmed, taking a step forward.

"Yes, but what?" Pearl asked her. "All we know is that she is somewhere on earth, but earth isn't that small."

While all the 'grown ups' were discussing, Steven stood behind, watching them.

He didn't really hear them speak right now. He just watched the way they looked and acted. They were panicked, scared. Un-knowing.

"We shouldn't be here talking, we should be preparing for a fight!" Pearl suddenly pulled him out of his thoughts and he looked up. "If Jasper, or Spinel are out there somewhere we NEED to find them!"

Steven could just watch hopelessly.

It had gone a couple of hours since their meeting and everyone seemed to have gone into 'deeply thinking mode', trying to figure out how they would track down Jasper.

It felt like they were inside a giant pot and someone put on the lid, and everyone could feel the heat.

Garnet was nowhere to be seen, she was probably inside the barn, trying to find clues through her future-vision.

Pearl and Peridot were discussing in front of a big white-board tablet, Amethyst and Bismuth listening to them from the ground.

Andy was nowhere to be seen, and Greg wasn't a tree on an open field either.

Steven was sitting at the back of the van, wrapped in a pink blanket and a cup of hot-chocolate in his hands.

He took a sip, watching his family- members worry their mind off because of Jasper.

He looked down, seeing his face in his hot-chocolate.

Steven shut his eyes with a deep sigh.

He disappeared in darkness.

Steven opened his eyes and he was surrounded by darkness.

Before him stood the statues of those close to him.

Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, Peridot, Bismuth, Greg and Andy. All standing in a row beside each-other.

On top of the statues heads, stood their ordinary selves. Or rather, their thoughts's selves.

Everyones' thoughts spoke in mouth with each-other.

Pearl was mumbling to herself, looking anxious. Andy was supporting Greg, as Greg was a nervous wreck in the living-room.

Steven floated over and stood on his father's statue, watching the hologram on top of the head.

"Hey dad on top of dad's head." Steven greeted him and sat down. "I know I promised not to listen to your thoughts like this." He told him shyly. "But nobody's telling me anything. I just want to get a little hint of what you're all thinking. So I can help the best way I can."

Of course, Greg didn't answer.

Steven sighed and stood up. "Well, thanks anyway dad." He started jumping away. He jumped his way between the statues, each time hearing them speak their mind.

It was kind of hard to make out what they were saying, everyone speaking at the same time.

At last, he jumped up and started to swim away from the statues, ready to wake up.

"Hey, where's the fire?" A voice suddenly echoed a bit playfully.

Steven stopped abruptly and sighed. "I gotta go back. I shouldn't be doing this." He spoke back, rubbing his neck.

"Why don't you just calm down?" The calm voice echoed again.

Steven sighed again. "I try but..." He took a deep breath. "Everyone is trying to pretend nothing ever happens to make me feel better. But when they don't even talk to me about it, it makes me even more scared. Because I don't know! Okay?! And I'm scared! I don't know what's happening. Or what is going to happen. I don't know anything." He rest a hand on his forehead desperately. "I don't even know who I'm-." He slowly slowed down as his eyes slowly widened from the realization. "-talking to..."

Slowly, he turned around. Everything looked the same as earlier. Pearl and Peridot were still discussing a plan while Amethyst and Bismuth were still listening.

His eyes got drawn to Garnet, as she stood still, carefully palpating her stomach with a soft smile.

"Garnet?" Steven asked in chock as he floated closer to the hologram on top of Garnet's statue's head. He stood on top of the statue, and watched her in confusion.

He sighed heavily. "You're not talking to me, are you? That's right, never ask questions." He sighed. "Not out loud at least." He chuckled.

Garnet didn't reply. React neither. She just continued smiling softly.

"It must be nice, isn't it? Not having to ask questions." He continued talking, putting his hands inside his pockets. "You always know what to do."

The sudden glowing of the gems on her palms made his gaze slowly travel from her face to her stomach and he sighed again. He lifted his hand to rest a hand against it, but pulled back.

"You know we're all waiting for you, right?" A few tears ran down his cheeks. "It may sound silly, but you're already such an important part of everyone's lives. Even if everyone won't admit it." His smile slowly faded. But it slowly returned as he slowly reached his hand and rest his palm against Garnet's stomach.

Immediately, Garnet's hologram tensed and she let out a shivering yelp of surprise. Steven immediately pulled back.

But Garnet smiled again shortly after.

Steven stepped back. He sighed once again. "I'm sorry. I should go." He then turned around to leave.

"Steven's waiting for you, you know that?" Garnet suddenly spoke and Steven stopped in his tracks. "He's not like other gems." She said. "He sees the good in everyone." She stroke her hand down her belly. "That includes you."

Steven turned around, wide-eyed.

A tear almost escaped the corner of his eye. He smiled proudly.

When suddenly, Garnet's face tensed. Like if she saw something.

Steven noticed. "Garnet?"

Steven woke up, immediately sitting up as the barn-door flew open with a thundering sound.

"I've found the ship!" Garnet announced alarmed, adjusting her visor. "It's up north."

The gems turned their attention towards her, nodding determined.

A few moments later, the gems were in a hurry trying to prepare for the ride up north, trying to make up a plan.

Steven put his back-pack on his back and nodded to himself, standing outside the barn.

Greg went down to his height and hugged him. "Be careful, Stu-Ball. Give that Jasper what she deserves." He told him, ruffling his head. "I'll wait here if you need me."

Steven nodded as Greg walked off.

Peridot frowned as she sat on the snow behind him.

"I don't see why Jasper is such a big deal." She muttered with a shrug as she played with one of her tools in hand. "It's the Cluster we should really worry about. It's only a matter of time before it starts to emerge."

"How do you know?" Amethyst asked, hands in her pockets as she was sitting on the ground beside her.

Her usually sneaky grin had been turned upside down and she looked like she hadn't slept in days. Not that she needed to.

"Her gems has been glowing repeatedly, right?" Peridot asked, sounding like it was obvious. "I have, as you know, observed the fusion's gems the past few weeks and sort of come to a conclusion." She pointed towards her own gem on her forehead. "The closer we get to the cluster emerging, the glowing increases." She explained, tapping a finger against her gem.

"Okay?" Amethyst frowned, trying to put the pieces together. "So... how long until it 'emerges'?"

"Well..." Peridot hummed and started writing something in the snow. "Considering the intervals between glows... subtracting the state of the fusion's energy levels..." She took a short pause. "A couple hours."

Amethyst did not enjoy that answer.

The warp pad light up and they stepped off.

They were in the middle of nowhere, outside a naked forest, completely covered with pale snow as far the eye could reach.

Standing before a big mountain-wall, stood a pink ship that was tall enough to reach halfway of the mountain. Honestly it looked very similar to an injector, or a spire, only it was a ship and the very top had a broader, more crystal-looking silhouette. The bottom didn't stand on the ground, it was instead a few meters up and was standing with four metallic legs bedded into the snow. Below a white door, there was a pink staircase going down to the ground.

"Is this the place?" Pearl asked, turning to the fusion.

Garnet nodded. "Yes." And adjusted her visor.

Bismuth walked up closer to the ship and put her hands on her hips.

"Is Jasper inside?" Steven asked them.

"We believe this is where they have their base." Pearl answered with a nod. She turned towards the boy and fusion. "How far apart are the glows?"

Steven picked up his phone and put on his timer. He then grabbed Garnet's hand and examined her sapphire-gem.

After a while, the gem began glowing.

"26 minutes." He responded, putting his phone back to his pocket.

Pearl nodded. "Good. That means we have some time." She then turned back to the ship.

"Let's go soldiers!" Bismuth called and waved them to join her as she walked up the staircase.

The gems summoned their weapons and followed her.

Only Steven and Garnet stayed put.

Steven nodded determined and then pulled off his cheese-burger back-pack and put down his jacket. "Okay. Let's do this. If the glow changes you need to tell us, okay?" He put his back-pack back on and looked at Garnet seriously.

Garnet summoned her gauntlets and nodded. "Right."

And so they began walking.

The doors closed as everyone walked inside and the gems used their gems as flashlights.

The room was circular, and there was staircase to a upper floor. The walls were glowing pink.

"We should be okay for now." Pearl confirmed as she noted nobody was there at the moment. She turned towards the other gems. "We'll check the upper floor. Steven, you stay here."

Steven nodded and took a step back.

Pearl nodded and started walking up the stairs, followed by Amethyst, followed by Bismuth, followed by Garnet.

Bismuth suddenly stopped and turned towards the fusion. "YOU stay put!" She ordered, stopping her and then began walking upstairs.

Before she suddenly returned. "Both of you!" She pointed at her before leaving.

Before returning again. "All three of you!" She ordered, before leaving.

And returning once again. "Four of you!" This time, she left for real.

"Got it." Garnet muttered and stepped back down.

Sometime later, Steven and Peridot were sitting on the floor.

Peridot had her chin leaned against her hand and Steven looked inside his back-pack.

"Anyone want a sandwich?" He asked, holding up a cheese sand-which.

When no one answered, he shrugged and took a bite.

"So..." He began, mouth-full. "What are we gonna do when we find Jasper?" He asked.

"We'll figure that out once or if we get to that point." Garnet responded, arms crossed.

"You have no idea, do you?" Peridot began as she sat up straighter, frowning.

When suddenly, Amethyst rushed down a few steps of the stairs.

"Yo! Green lights, guys!" She called.

A few moments later Steven, Peridot and Garnet had walked up the stairs to the second floor.

That room was also circular in shape, only higher in roof.

This one had a upper floor which you could see, but it was sealed by another high, broad staircase.

"No signs of Jasper." Garnet confirmed as she looked around the room.

"There could be another door. There must be a cockpit somewhere." Pearl stated, holding her spear higher and started walking.

Garnet was about to walk too, but stopped and grimaced as her gems started to glow again.

She grimaced in dislike.

Steven wandered about in the room and looked around. "Where do you th-. WHOA!" When suddenly, something pink wrapped itself around his waist and pulled him up.

"Steven!" Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst gasped.

There was a laughter echoing through the ship.

And there, on top of the staircase, stood s shorter, pink gem with pig-tails, gloves and a upside-down heart-shaped gem.

She pulled her arms towards her, holding Steven wrapped in them.

"Well hello there, cutie!" She laughed, grinning from ear to ear. "Long time no see! I was just wondering when you were going to come visit!"

Steven tried to move, but his mouth was covered by her stretched arms.

Pearl and Amethyst rushed almost all the way up the stairs and Garnet almost half- ways. Bismuth and Peridot stayed on the floor below.

"Spinel!" Pearl hissed as she summoned another spear from her gem.

"I'm gonna crush you into jelly if you don't let him go RIGHT NOW!" Amethyst threatened, summoning another whip and swung it threateningly.

Spinel turned towards them, looking like she hadn't noticed them until now.

"I think we didn't quite introduce ourselves last time, did we?. Now what do we have here, hm? Let's have a look at the menagerie!" She stepped forward, her finger stretching into a binocular, her eye being visible at the hole at the end.

"A Pearl, huh? A little bit far from home, aren't we now?" She teased. Pearl grunted beneath her breath, swinging her spear in the air in a threatening way.

"You must be that fusion from before. Grown a little too custom to those earthly human consumption treats after your time at the facility, have we?" Garnet covered one of her gloves over her stomach. "Seems more like an amethyst thing to do."

"Oh! Speaking of which, here we have her! Amethyst, so you escaped from the kindergarten? How predictable." Spinel laughed devilish.

"What do you want, Mickey Squarepants?!" Amethyst roared in annoyed anger.

"Oh, can't a gem just come and say hi?" Spinel asked, hugging Steven tight. "Being stuck on this miserable planet for so long, looking for the Cluster, can make a gem a bit tumbled." She grinned, shaking her head so her eyes moved around like a doll's.

"How does she know about that?" Pearl whispered to Amethyst behind her.

"Oh! A little bird told us!" Spinel laughed, gaining their attention. "Or should I say a 'snowbird'?" She giggled and laid down on her stomach, waving her legs, still holding Steven. "Or rather: We had the opportunity to get the information from a certain: Snowflake 6KJ Cut SKLK." She grinned

Bismuth grit her teeth in anger and took a step forward, but Peridot grabbed her hand, stopping her.

Bismuth stopped and clenched her fist.

"Oh yes! Lil' Snowflake! They are always easier to get when inside the facility." Spinel sighed dreamily. "You know? Because of the 'can't use your weapons', thing?" She grinned, twirling a piece of hair around her finger.

"Listen here you little-!" Bismuth took a step forward, pointing an angry finger at the pink gem, but Peridot tried to hold her back.

Garnet took a step up the stairs but immediately grimaced. She looked down on her gems through her gauntlets and noticed them glowing again.

Her forehead had started to sweat and her breaths had become heavier.

She rubbed her stomach soothingly, taking a few deep breaths.

"Now, I'd LOVE to stay and chat-." Spinel began.

Garnet's breath was deep and heavy, and sweat was starting to run down her cheek. She grit her teeth.

"But we have a Cluster to look for." Spinel giggled loudly and turned around to leave.

When suddenly Garnet crouched down to all four, her gauntlet crashing into the step above her, crushing it before her gauntlets disappeared and she held a hand around her stomach.

Bismuth and Peridot gasped from downstairs, both watching her.

"What's happening?!" Peridot gasped, panicking.

"Something's wrong!" Bismuth alarmed, taking a step forward. "I'm coming soldier!" She immediately dashed off to rush up the stairs.

"Come back here you CLOD!" Peridot shouted in panicked annoyance.

"Huh?" Spinel hummed in confusion as she turned her head 180° to see what was going on.

Steven shouted something through his gag.

"You're not going ANYWHERE!" Pearl shouted and threw her spear towards the pink gem.

The spear missed Spinel.

Spinel jumped with a loud EEEP and rushed away, dropping Steven to the ground.

"Oh no you don't!" Pearl shouted as she dashed up the stairs, Amethyst not far behind.

At this point, Bismuth had reached Garnet, helping her up to her feet.

"Don't let her escape!" Garnet demanded as Bismuth had helped her up and Peridot had rushed up to help.

Bismuth and Peridot shared a glance and nodded.

The duo rushed up the stairs, and Steven rushed over to Garnet.

Meanwhile, Pearl and Amethyst were still hunting Spinel down a hallway. Peridot and Bismuth was far behind them, trying to keep up.

Spinel had used her shape-shifting to run like Sonic down the hallway.

"You can't catch me! You can't catch me!" Spinel laughed as she ran.

At last, she shape-shifted her arms so that she could grab a tile in the ceiling, and she pulled herself up.

"Get down here!" Pearl shouted, shooting her lasers at her.

Spinel easily avoided them and climbed up through a tile in the ceiling.

She ran through the vents until she had reached the cockpit and a pulled a big lever saying 'Spinel, don't touch' with her gloved hand.

"Nighty-night. Crystal Gems." She giggled.

The whole ship started to blink an alarming red color and there was a loud siren echoing through the ship.

The gems stopped and looked around as the whole ship started to violently shake.

Garnet and Steven looked up as they had come halfway down the stairs, not until now seeing the red flashing lights and loud alarm.

"What's that?" Steven asked.

Garnet adjusted her visor. She grit her teeth. "Spinel must have activated the self-destruction panel." She confirmed.

"Is that bad?" Steven asked worriedly.

"We need to get out of here!" Garnet grabbed his hand and began walking down the stairs. She needed to get Steven out of there. Now.

"What about the others?" Steven asked, holding her hand.

"They'll find their own way out!" Garnet called before she took a few deep breaths as her gems started glowing again.

They rushed outside the ship and down the stairs until they reached the warp-pad.

They stepped up on it and they flashed away.

There was an explosion and a piece if metal hit the warp-pad, crushing it.
