Hello loves!
Right, before I get into the disclaimers, I'd like to quickly say that I've updated the last chapter so I recommend re-reading the end of it just to get some context, *queue me and my stupid self submitting the draft rather than the actual document*. But as for this chapter, season two has finally begun! I can't wait to get any feedback, this is probably one of my favourite chapters so far that I've written. Another thing, I'm sorry I didn't update last weekend, I had my jabs done - two of them - and to say I was feeling like total shit is an understatement. But never mind that, let's get on with it! I own nothing.

Once upon a time, there was a majestic king who lived with his noble brother in a kingdom where music and art were celebrated. The king did not foresee having a child, but he lived in an enchanted land where all things were possible. In time, he was blessed with a beautiful baby daughter, for whom he wished only peace. Still, the king had demons who pursued him. There was a ruthless beast who wanted to take the kingdom for her own. Armed with a pack of untamed creatures, she drove the other magical creatures from the land. And, there was a wicked sorceress with enchanted stones that weakened the king every full moon. Seeing the shadow his enemies cast upon his home, the king was driven to send his beloved princess away, convincing all who remained that she was forever lost. The king, in his sorrow, turned away from the world. The castle closed its doors, and the kingdom fell. Some say that the only light that shines in the castle illuminates the shadow of the once majestic king in the room meant for his child. But, as the ruthless beasts took rule over the fallen king's realm, little did they know that he and his brother would not rest until their enemies were vanquished. For they believed that one day, they would heal their kingdom and bring their precious princess home so that she might live happily ever after.

Joe Dalton grinned at Aria as he handed her a record, "Here you go, Aria." He pulled it back slightly, just as Aria's fingers skimmed the edge of it, "Now, sometime you're gonna have to give me the low down on why you and Davina are so hooked on ancient Icelandic folk music!"
Aria laughed, taking the record as Davina smiled softly, "It's for someone else. Although…" She turned to Davina, eyes sparkling with mischief, "If you want to make a confession, D, I'm all ears." She smirked as Davina laughed.
"Well, I sure hope it's for someone else!" Joe smiled as the duo turned to leave the record shop.
Before they could walk out of the store though, a teen looked over to them as he himself turned to head out of the door. His eyes caught Aria's and smiled at her before leaving. Aria smiled slightly back and Davina nudged her playfully. Their smiles dropped when Oliver entered the shop,
Oliver smirked, "Hey there, cuties."
Davina narrowed her eyes, unimpressed, "Don't call us that."
Oliver ignored her comment and plucked the record out of Aria's hands in curiosity,
"So, I heard that you two ditched your coven. That's too bad. That other Harvest girl, Cassie? She has been super helpful to all us wolves." He murmured.
Aria scoffed, "She's been making you moonlight rings, Oliver. That's all. And I'd call that an alliance. I doubt she's just trying to be nice to her friendly neighbourhood dogs."
She couldn't keep the venom out of her voice.
It wasn't like she hated werewolves, unlike her father.
She just… didn't like this one.
"You think you're real funny, huh? Don't matter, because as long as we don't have to turn on the full moon anymore, it works for me." He handed the record back to Aria and leant closer to them both, "Look, I'd take off if I were you two. Things are about to get a little ugly in here." He whispered before stepping back and raising his voice, "Hey y'all, store's closed. Get out, now!"
Joe frowned in confusion from his desk as the store quickly emptied of people, "Hey, what are you doing?"
Oliver turned to Joe, "It's Joe Dalton, right?" He slowly sauntered up to the front of the store, "See, I've been studying up on this store. It's been a staple of the Quarter for ninety years. It was run by you, your daddy, and then his daddy before him?"
Joe's eyes hardened and he clenched his jaw, "That's right."
"Yeah, you see, the thing is, Joe, there just ain't many photos of anyone in your family..." He pulled out a photo from his pocket and placed it on the desk, "But you."
Joe visibly wilted and Davina and Aria exchanged looks,
"Oliver, no."
Joe sped towards the door but, before he could get out, two werewolves blocked him from leaving the store,
"Stop! Stop it! STOP IT!" Davina yelled.
The werewolves ignored her and whilst two lunged towards the girls, holding them in place with their hands behind their backs in tight grips, another lunged towards Joe, teeth barred. At the sight, anger suddenly reared its ugly head inside of Aria. Anger she only recalled feeling when her father had challenged Klaus and in return, the Hybrid had bitten most of her family. It swarmed inside of her, making her dizzy, making her nauseous, before it suddenly disappeared. What had felt like minutes of anger, seemed to be in reality, only mere seconds as the werewolf hadn't even reached Joe yet. She rolled her eyes and, almost effortlessly, muttered a quick phrase under her breath before each of the wolves in the shop, including the two holding her and Davina, dropped down to the ground as they clutched their heads in what looked like agony.
"Joe, get out of here!" Davina yelled as Joe nodded and fled the store.
Aria flexed her wrists, frowning at the slight bruising around them before she looked up and smirked victoriously at Oliver. The glare he gave her, had he been a witch, would have put her in an early grave, "Who's funny now?"
~*•°•*~
Aria stormed into the apartment her and Davina shared, courtesy of Marcel and Thierry, as she threw down her jacket, running her hand through her hair almost manically.
Davina sighed as she leaned on the door to close it, "Aria, calm down."
"I-I can't calm down, Davina."
"Aria, you need to before you explode." She warned as Aria spun around.
"Davina, this is consuming me! It-It's like a fire eating me up from the inside!"
"Hey! Aria! Please!"
"I almost killed them." Aria whispered, tears shining in her eyes, "I almost killed them. Those wolves were looking me in the eye and I only had to twist my hand for them to stop staring at me. For their eyes to close forever. But I don't feel better! I don't feel peace! I don't feel anything!"
Davina took a deep breath as she saw the tears in her friend's eyes before trying to calm her down, "Because of your magic and because Dahlia got in your head-" Aria visibly flinched, "Your emotions are heightened. Similar to vampires. It'll take time to control them. But we can't do that unless we understand what your magic is doing to you."
Aria shook her head, her voice steadily growing in volume as her true emotions bled through the mask that she'd placed on herself ever since escaping from Dahlia, "I don't want to live like this, Davina. I hate it! I practically killed Monique and Abigail. Everything has changed. And not just for me. I was Marcel's daughter, Thierry's niece, the vampire's friend, you called me your sister. And now I'm a monster. My own magic is consuming me! And the only person who ever understood what it was like wants me dead!"
Davina's expression crumpled, "You're the same person you've always been, 'Ari. And you're still my sister." She said softly, moving closer to Aria and taking her hands.
"Davina, I was not like this before. When-whenever I get angry things start getting set on fire. My-my eyes turn red! I am a ticking time bomb!" Davina pulled her closer, and Aria's hiccups slowly subsided in volume, sniffles replacing them, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry."
"You don't need to be, 'Ari. You'll be fine, you hear me? Completely fine." She whispered, pulling Aria closer to her.
~*•°•*~
Roughly an hour after Aria's mental breakdown, both girls were standing in the attic of St. Anne's Church after opening the door. The duo watched as the White Oak stake went whirling to the doorframe and whilst Davina rolled her eyes, Aria pulled the stake out and twirled it around curiously before sighing,
"We don't know why you keep showing off. You know you can't hurt either of us." She commented.
"Oh, but the desire I have to do so." Mikael retorted as Davina pushed up her sleeve and held her wrist out to him,
"I am Mikael, the vampire who hunts vampires. You know thin human blood does little to sustain me."
"Feed."
With a slight glare, Mikael reluctantly bit down on Davina's wrist and, as she'd told him to, fed,
"Stop." Davina said after a moment.
Mikael pulled away as if by force and wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand before taking Davina's wrist and looking at her bracelet with narrowed eyes,
"Oh, I wish I could rip this from you and Aria, break that which binds me to you and complete the task for which you two resurrected me. Kill the bastard who calls himself my son."
"You can't take off the bracelet, and you can't kill Klaus. Not until we figure out how to save my family from dying, too." Aria retorted as she knelt down next to a trunk and pulled out a Grimoire.
Esther's Grimoire.
Try as she might, Aria couldn't even begin to find herself terrified of the witch after having been with Dahlia for all those awful months. After Freya having told her that she'd been bartered away by her. All she felt when she thought of the Mikaelsons' mother was hatred. No fear. In all honesty, she didn't think she could fear anything after Dahlia.
"We've studied their mother's spell book for weeks. We're getting close." Davina said, moving to sit down beside Aria as she continued to speak,
"And once we unlink our friends from Klaus' sire line, trust me, I will gladly unleash you to be the monster that you are so eager to be."
Mikael smirked, "Music to my ears, my little witches."
Aria felt nauseous.
~*•°•*~
Hours later back at Aria's apartment, the girl in question collapsed down onto her bed in her room, "It's useless." She announced as Davina laughed.
"You really do give up easily, don't you?"
Aria rolled her eyes, "There is a difference between giving up and knowing when you're going to fail." She sat up, "We are going to fail." She clarified, collapsing back down onto the bed once more.
"Evanna Boudreaux was a well-known witch-"
"-Some seventeen years ago." Aria interrupted, "Almost two entire decades."
"Have a little faith, Aria." Davina murmured, throwing yet another book onto the table as she sighed.
"There's no use, D."
There was silence for a moment before Davina spoke again, "Oh yeah? Tell that to this." She said as she spun the laptop that she was on around on her knee so that Aria could read. She sighed but none the less, sat up on the bed and flipped herself around so that her head was now at the end of the bed and she was lying on her stomach, "…Evanna… Boudreaux." She murmured to herself before her eyes widened and she looked up to a grinning Davina, "Evanna Boudreaux. You found her Davina!"
Davina grinned, "So who's useless now?" She teased.
"One problem, what do we do now?"
Davina gave her a look, "Well, we go visit her of course."
"We can't just turn up to her house, D."
She frowned, "Why not?"
Aria gave her a look, "She created me in a ritual about seventeen years ago. She didn't want a baby to die so she saved me. Simple. That's it."
"Well then, let's test that theory."
Aria sighed before smirking slightly, "You know that you'll get me killed eventually, D."
Davina smiled unabashedly.
~*•°•*~
The girls stood outside the simple two storey house that quite possibly held all the answers both Aria and Davina had been searching for in the past few months and to put it plainly, they were terrified.
"Maybe this isn't such a good idea." Aria worried.
Davina rolled her eyes, "We're keeping a reincarnated Original Vampire trapped in our attic and this is when you draw the line? Meeting one of the women who literately created you?"
Aria sighed, "Yes, Davina. This is where I draw the line. Because quite frankly, I don't give a damn about what Mikael thinks of me. But-"
"You care what she thinks about you." Davina murmured in realisation as Aria looked away from her.
"I've had a brilliant life, D. I love dad, you and Thierry more than anything but… I've always wanted one thing that I've never been able to have. A mother. So yes, meeting the woman that technically is my mother, is where I draw the line. Because if she hates me… I don't know what I'll do."
Davina was silent for a moment before she took Aria's hands, "Hey, if she hates you, then she's the one missing out. Trust me. Marcel loves you, Thierry loves you and I love you. You have a family. So what if this Evanna Boudreaux doesn't like you? You already have a family. And we are awesome."
Aria gave her a shaky, thankful smile before turning back to the house and slowly walking up the front steps and stopping in front of the door. She sent Davina another look before ringing the doorbell.
About ten seconds after she turned to Davina, "Okay. I guess that's it. No one's home. Let's go." She babbled, trying to walk away from the door. Davina rolled her eyes and yanked Aria's wrist to pull her back to the door, ringing the bell again.
"You are going to stay."
Aria winced before turning back to the door, anxiety heightening with every second that passed until she heard footsteps on the other side of the door, "D…"
"Relax." She whispered back as the door swung open.
A woman stood on the other side, light caramel skin, big brown doe eyes and mahogany curls. In short, she looked no older than thirty at most.
But it was Evanna Boudreaux.
"May I help you?"
Five minutes later, Aria, Davina and Evanna were all sat around a table in her house and the tension was thick.
"Miss Boudreaux-" Davina began before she was cut off.
"Please, just Evanna."
"Evanna." Davina corrected, sending a side glance towards Aria before continuing, "Seventeen years ago, were you a part of the French Quarter Coven?"
Evanna's eyes narrowed slightly but she nodded, "Yes. I assume you two are? I've told them before, I will not go back."
"Uh, not really. We kind of… ditched them too." Davina replied, her answer clearly surprising the woman.
"Oh." She murmured, "Why are you here, then?"
Aria tensed slightly and Davina took a deep breath, "Seventeen years ago, did you partake in a ritual to help the Harvest succeed?"
A dark look crossed over Evanna's face as she nodded stiffly, "Do you know what that ritual created?" Davina continued.
"A baby. A baby that I saved."
"Why? If you don't mind me asking."
"They wanted to kill her. So I tried to get her away. But I… don't think it worked."
Aria looked confused, "Why?"
"The witches that were tasked with taking her away were all killed. I assume so was the baby."
Aria didn't hide her frustration and let out a groan, "Oh God." She murmured, head dropping into her hands as it fell onto the table.
Could this get any more awkward?
Evanna looked surprised whilst Davina just looked amused, "Evanna, please meet Aria. The baby."
Aria flinched slightly and sent a glare over to Davina, despite both knowing there wasn't any heat behind it before turning to look at Evanna with a small, nervous smile at the expression of the woman in front of her. She looked positively tearful, "Hi." Aria breathed.
Yes, apparently it could get more awkward.
The next few moments were, well, silent.
Evanna stared at Aria like she was a ghost and Aria simply stared back, expression nervous.
"It's nice to meet you." Aria said after yet another moment.
"I-I thought you died." Evanna murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
"No. Dad-Marcel saved me. He has a rule about hurting kids." She shrugged, a small smile pulling at the corner of her mouth.
She let out a watery chuckle and Aria spoke again, "Uh, so I know this might be a bit premature but… what would you say if I asked if you wanted to head into the Quarter? It's a nice day."
That seemed to dampen the woman's mood because the next thing they knew, the tears had stopped, "I-I can't."
"You-you can't?" Aria echoed.
"No I'm sorry. You two need to leave." Evanna said shortly, standing up and preparing to walk out of the room.
With one look at Aria's rapidly crumpling expression, Davina exploded.
"Are you serious?!" She spat, standing up with such force and suddenness that the chair fell backwards onto the floor, "We have been searching for you, for months. Aria has been searching for you, for months!"
"Davina-" Aria tried before the girl turned to her, expression positively furious,
"No!" She yelled, turning back to a startled Evanna, "No! You can't do this! You created Aria, you were the one to… do all of this! If you're not brave enough to just admit that you want to know her! I saw the way you looked at her a moment ago! I have no idea why you're lying to yourself and us but I am begging you. Don't pass this up."
Her voice had trailed off from a yell to almost a whisper but both the girls in the room heard it.
When Evanna spoke, her voice was trembling, "I can't."
"Why the hell not?!" Davina yelled.
The look on Evanna's face slipped and she marched over to the curtain, hesitating only slightly before pulling it open and holding her hand out in the light. Aria watched with shocking realisation as Evanna's hand began to burn.
She yanked it back again after a moment and threw the curtain back so that the light was no longer streaming in through the windows, "That's why. That is why I can't. Are you satisfied now?"
"You're a vampire." Aria whispered, shock etched onto her face.
"This is what the witches do to you when you interfere. So yes, I won't lie I am glad to see you alive and there aren't… words to say how much I'd like to know you but I can't. Not like this. Not when I can't even leave my own house."
~*•°•*~
Aria sat on the bed in her room, chin resting in her hands just as she had been for the past hour since her and Davina had returned from Evanna's house. The door opened and Aria didn't even flinch when she heard the loud sigh from Davina, "You're still sitting like that? You've been like this for the past hour."
"She didn't hate me." Aria's tone was positively awed.
"Of course she didn't. -Though she could've been nicer to us." Davina added after another moment, her tone slightly more bitter.
"She just didn't want to get to know me when she could only do it at night." Aria commented before her eyes widened and she looked up, hands dropping from her chin, "At night."
"What about night?"
Her eyes locked with Davina's, "Do you still have the Daylight ring spell?"
Davina's eyes widened and she laughed nervously, "Aria… I don't think it's clever to do that so soon-"
"Do you still have the Daylight ring spell?" Aria repeated, her tone darkening slightly just as Marcel's did when he got annoyed.
Davina, despite clearly not liking the idea, nodded and picked the paper up from a spot she'd hidden it in under the desk, "Here. But only if you're sure it means that much to you."
"I'm sure D. More than I've ever been of anything in my life. I want to know her. But first, I have to gain her trust."
She almost didn't catch Davina's mutter as she stood up, "Just like she has to earn mine." Her voice rose, "Wait up!"
~*•°•*~
Aria knocked on Evanna's door once more, Davina by her side just like she'd been hours ago and they waited for the door to be opened. The sky was gradually darkening out so they wouldn't have to worry about the sunlight being an issue though they'd still be able to show her the ring had worked.
The door opened and, just like earlier, Evanna stood at the door. She sighed when she noticed who they were but before she could say anything, Aria spoke first, holding the box in her hands out, "I understand if you don't want to know me or even if you don't want anything to do with me, but… take this? Please?"
Evanna's eyes darted down to the box in curiosity and confusion, "What's this?"
"Just take it." Aria said, practically pushing the box into the vampire's hands.
Evanna took it and sighed before opening the lid, a ring inside, "What's this?"
"Put it on." Davina ordered as the vampire did just that. She then grabbed her arm and pulled her outside the house, trying to tune out the sudden scream of the vampire as if she'd been expecting to be burnt.
When she wasn't, Evanna looked up suddenly and her arms dropped from shielding her face, "What?"
"It's a daylight ring." Aria explained, "It'll shield you from the sun as long as you keep it on."
The vampire looked over to Aria, a mixture of emotions on her face, "Why are you doing this?" She muttered.
"Why not?" Aria replied before taking a deep breath and turning around with Davina, preparing to leave. It wasn't until she heard a call from behind her just as she was at the bottom of the set of stairs that she paused and turned around, expression hopeful.
"Maybe… it wouldn't hurt to go down to the Quarter. Just for a while. Tomorrow maybe? One o'clock?"
Aria practically beamed, "Sure."
~*•°•*~
As Aria and Davina were walking through the Quarter not even a half hour later, Aria spoke randomly, "You know… Elijah chases Klaus' redemption like a man rolling a stone up an endless mountain. I guess it makes you wonder. But… no mountain is endless. Some are just steeper than others."
"Are you saying in your weird riddle-ish way that Klaus might be able to find redemption?" Davina asked dubiously, sparing her friend a surprised glance.
Aria screwed her nose up, "God, probably not. I hate him. But I won't deny, Elijah's loyalty to that family is… admirable if nothing else."
"So what's your point?"
"My point… is that if after a thousand years, Elijah can forgive Klaus for everything he's done. If he can stick by him then, maybe there's hope for our family too."
Davina teared up slightly when Aria referred to her as family but Aria simply smiled.
"Of course there's hope. There will always be hope."
Aria smiled before sighing and rolling her shoulders back uncomfortably, "Well, this got very sappy, very fast." She mumbled as Davina laughed. Aria ran a hand over her face before sighing again, "Right, so, the Mikaelsons and dad are taking back the twelve original Moonlight rings tonight. Four of them sit on the hands of the Guerrera brothers, one on Oliver, one on Francesca, three with their home security detail, and the rest are scattered amongst her lackeys. Each ring is distinguishable by its setting. Gauche, like those that wear them. Each ring they retrieve will strengthen Klaus but I don't think he'll be patrolling the streets." She smirked and paused, glancing to Davina whose lips were slowly stretching into a grin as she realised what Aria was about to say, "So, we have free reign over our city tonight before I head out with Evanna tomorrow. What d'you wanna do, D?"
"Maybe just shop a little? No magic. Just for tonight."
"Sounds nice."
"Okay. Well, I'll be right back. I'll just go get my jacket." She grinned, walking through the door behind them that led to their apartment.
As Aria waited on Davina, she sighed and looked around the street, catching sight of Joe's record shop. Walking up to the front window, Aria frowned in sadness at the big red closed sign on the front window, covering the opening times. Sighing and making to turn around, her body collided into another person, her bag falling off her shoulder in the process. Aria swore quietly in embarrassment, reaching down to get her bag before looking up and meeting the eyes of the guy she'd seen in the record store that morning. Blue eyes that widened the moment her own met his, "I am so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." She apologised.
The guy had curly brown hair, bright blue eyes and a tall build, certainly taller than her. He looked slightly older than her. He also didn't speak apparently. His mouth opened a few times but no words came out. Aria stood there awkwardly before smiling tightly, "Again, sorry."
Before she moved to leave, the man cleared his throat and stopped her in her tracks, "It's okay. I wasn't paying attention either."
Aria smiled in amusement before her eyes wandered his face, trying to remember if she had ever seen him before – there was something familiar about him but she couldn't figure it out. "You live in the Quarter?" She finally asked, tilting her head to the side. Perhaps if she looked at him from a different angle it might come to her?
…No. No she couldn't see anything familiar.
"Yeah. I do. Well, I moved here recently."
She smiled and held out her hand for him to shake, "Well, I'm Aria and very clumsy, apparently." She joked, "Welcome to the Quarter."
He was smiling softly at her now, eyes practically shining, "Thanks. And I know." He sucked in a sharp breath when Aria quirked her eyebrow up at his words, "I mean, I know you're clumsy. You did just bump into me."
Aria had to give into her laughter at that, looking down at the ground in embarrassment.
"Yeah, I am sorry about that." She pushed a stray hair that had fallen from her ponytail behind her ear, looking up through her lashes sheepishly. The man laughed, and her smile slipped slightly at the odd familiarity of the sound.
He looked behind her at the sign in the window, "That sucks. No trades today. It's worse for you and your friend of course. Guy had the market cornered on Ancient Icelandic folk scene." He teased gently.
Aria laughed, "Those weren't for us. Though I do think my sister might've been holding back her secret love for it. I caught her pocketing one or two when she thought I wasn't looking."
She didn't even notice how she so casually referred to Davina as her sister because they both did it all the time. They were sisters. Simple. Her eyes drifted behind him to see Davina heading down the stairs through one of the windows on the front of the building, "I should get going. I'm meeting my sister here. Our… uncle is causing her a few problems."
It was the best excuse she could find without calling him 'the Original Vampire they were keeping trapped in their attic'. She couldn't imagine that going over very well.
"Well, I hope everything's okay. Aunts and uncles can be annoying." He trailed off, an odd glint in his eyes.
"They can be. Mine's pretty awesome though. -My other one." She added hastily.
"Thierry, right?" The guy said, eyes widening in surprise at his own words as if he hadn't meant to say it.
"You… know Thierry?" Aria asked in slight confusion as her smile slipped. She knew that Thierry was a people person but he definitely didn't know many humans. She could count on one hand how many he knew and still didn't feed on – and that list included both her and Davina.
"Uh, of him. I know of him. I heard he moved away from the Quarter recently?"
"Don't remind me." She mumbled, catching him smile slightly, "Uh, I didn't get your name."
At her words, his smile dropped slightly. How odd, "I'm Kaleb."
"Well, nice to meet you, Kaleb." With a smile, she walked past him, looking over her shoulder to see him watching her walk away, "You should come into town more often." She said, turning so she was walking backwards, hoping she wouldn't bump into anyone else before reaching Davina, "The Quarter can get confusing. It's best to memorise it as soon as possible."
Kaleb smirked charmingly and laughed slightly, like he knew a secret she didn't. Well, it wouldn't surprise her. It seemed like everyone was keeping secrets recently, "I think I will. You have a pretty name but… a terrible taste in music. You obviously need me."
Aria chuckled and rolled her eyes, turning around and walking up to Davina, "Who's that?" She asked with a teasing smile, looking over Aria's shoulder.
"Just someone." Aria replied ominously, "Now do you want to take a walk or not?"
~*•°•*~
Little did she know, that hours later in the Lycée, a small group would gather to, well, do what they all did best. Plan.
"Did Camille buy it? Did she think you were who you said you were?" Esther asked, though her form was that of a mere teenager, the Harvest Girl Cassie, she was still able to hold the same commanding tone to her voice as Finn, also possessing another's body nodded.
"Entirely. The humans are weak." Finn murmured as he held his hand over a candle's flame, the heat tickling his skin, "Their bodies are so strange. I'd forgotten what it feels like to be this vulnerable."
"At least you're not stuck in the body of a teenager." She sassed.
"Well, I love my body, Mother. I'm pretty sure Aria Gerard does, too!" Kaleb… rather Kol announced, walking into the room with a wide smirk on his face as he sat down at the table, Esther rolling her eyes in annoyance.
"Don't be puerile." She scolded, not noticing his rapidly narrowing gaze, "We have work to do. Your brothers did me a favour by killing Francesca. Now, I will control the witches and the werewolves. With the vampires in exile, we can begin to take root in our new home. Finn, Kol, let's get to work! We have a family reunion to plan." She smirked.
"What about the witch?" Finn asked as Esther paused.
"Leave her. For now. There's something about that witch that is dreadfully familiar. And if it's what I think it is… We'll have to come up with a plan. If she is who I think she is, then she's dangerous." She said, tone dropping lowly at the last statement as Kol's jaw tightened.
Unknown to her, Kol had to physically restrain himself from standing up and full on snapping his mother's neck.
She obviously knew that Aria was similar to Dahlia in many ways. And if what Aria had told him about his mother and aunt's history was true, then he didn't doubt Esther would get rid of Aria as soon as she could.
So no way in hell was she getting anywhere near his little witch.
Heck, he wasn't going to let anyone near her, not anyone he didn't already trust without doubt, and that list was a rather short one. Compromising of… one.
Himself.
Well, maybe Freya too as soon as she woke up.
Either way, Hell would have to freeze over before he ever let anyone harm her. His own family included.
Dahlia be damned.
~*•°•*~
Well, whether Kol realises it or not, he is already practically in love with Aria. Although, their relationship will certainly take a bit of a test when she finds out who he really is. Ohh, I had a hell of a lot of fun writing that scene… An angry Aria is a very fun Aria to write. But as always, feedback would be very much appreciated!
