Chapter 27 Peace Keepers
It's been a few days since the Civil war between the North and South started for the South to become independent after the South found out what Unalaq did 4 years ago sending Ares to kill Sean even if it meant killing all of them. Now the group was finally in Republic City to get some help from the united forces.
"Finally." Reznov said jumping on the docks.
"Are you ok Korra?" Sean asked Korra making her sigh.
"I never should have helped him. Now my dad is in a civil war because of me." Korra said.
"Korra no Avatar is ever gonna be perfect. Even Kyoshi who was considered one of the best made her own mistakes during her time and she lived for over two hundred years. You know the Dai Li that Katara told us about?" Sean asked making her scoff.
"You really think I would forget any of those stories? The most corrupt organization in the entire Earth Kingdom. What does she have to do with it she wasn't a member" Korra said.
"No she wasn't a member. Kyoshi was the one who made that group." Sean said shocking her.
"What?" Korra asked in disbelief one of the greatest avatars in all of history created a group of thugs during her time
"Her aim back during the beginning was to protect the culture of the Earth Kingdom back in her time. But overtime they became corrupted to what people know now. She never meant for that to happen but it did anyway. And Aang had to deal with them during the hundred year war" Sean said shocking her.
"I...don't Believe it." Korra said before Sean held her face.
"It's only proves even Avatars can make mistakes. But like everyone else we learn from those mistakes to make sure history does not repeat itself. Its what makes us all human. Besides you've only just started being the Avatar. Better to learn early on than later." Sean said making her smile lightly before kissing him.
"Thank you." Korra said making him smirk. "Oh by the way. I think you forgot this." Korra said handing him his necklace making him chuckle before putting it back on.
"I feel like I would lose my head if I didn't have you around." Sean said making her giggle.
"So true." Korra said.
"Come on." Sean said as they got down.
Once they got off the boat Lin approached them.
"Welcome home, Avatar. Thanks for starting a war." Lin said sarcastically making her growl annoyed.
"Lin...Fuck off. We're not in the mood." Sean said making her roll her eyes.
"Whatever. Theres gonna be a southern peace march tonight so I need Mako back on the beat." Lin said.
"Got it." Mako said leaving with her.
"I'm gonna join them. They have to know the Avatar is on their side." Korra said to her husband.
"I agree but I try not saying anything. These events can get violent in unexpected ways and it's best to keep quiet." Sean said making her nod.
"Ok." Korra said.
"Once thats done and over with we'll ask the President for help and hopefully he'll see Unalaq is the villain." Sean said.
"Zhu Li's already scheduled a meeting for us. We'll get him on board." Varrick said.
"Lets go." Sean said as they walked off.
Later
Korra with Sean were on Naga as they led the Southerners towards the cultural center.
"Tensions are running high outside of the southern water tribe cultural center. The Avatar and her husband are leading a group of southerners in a peaceful protest against Chief Unalaq, But the northerners have come out in droves in support of their Leader." A reporter said.
"How much you wanna bet they'll hate themselves when they learn Unalaq killed his own people 20 years ago." Korra asked.
"Everything." Sean said.
"Theres only so much loyalty that can be had before the truth is revealed and it comes crumbling down lads." Mimir said.
While this was going on Mako stood guard outside the building.
However two people exited said building before one accidentally stepped on a can making a loud crunching sound which alerted him.
"HEY!" Mako yelled before one took out some device and pressed a button before the whole building blew up.
"Oh my god!" Sean yelled as Korra looked on in shock before Sean equipped his wings to blow out the fire quickly before it finally went out. "Theres a new benefit to having these things." Sean said.
Mako followed the ones responsible before firebending them but one of them was a firebender as well before something was knocked out of his hand before they got in a car and bolted.
"Korra, are you ok?" Sean asked his wife.
"Yeah I'm fine. But the North is way out of control. No way is the president gonna let this attack stand." Korra said.
"I don't think the north did this." Mako said rushing to them.
"Why's that?" Sean asked.
"I saw a couple guys leaving the building just before the explosion before they used this to do so. And one of them was a fire bender." Mako said holding a detonator.
"Of course the North is responsible. No one else would do this" Korra said.
"I think Mako's right on this. Unalaq would stand no chance against the United forces. He may be a power hungry dog but he's no idiot. He would want to avoid confrontation with the United forces." Sean said making Korra frown since she couldn't deny that.
"Ok...Say the North didn't do this...Then who did?" Korra asked.
"Someone who wants the United forces to join for something personal." Sean said holding her close.
Thats when suddenly vines started coming out attacking people making them scream as they ran back.
"Now what?" Mako asked before they heard laughter making them look up seeing Hera the Wife of Zeus.
"Well, well. A bastard grandson of Zeus." Here said
"Oh great." Sean said before getting rammed into the building by Set who roared.
"Oh no not this again." Korra said annoyed before a brought light blocked her making her look up seeing Helios on his chariot.
"At last you are outmatched." Perseus said acting as though he had already won. He was currently armed with the Golden Fleece. The Spear of Destiny. The Nemesis Whip and the Eye of Atlantis.
"You again?" Korra asked annoyed.
"Now that I have these weapons I am invincible. Nothing can stop me." Perseus said making her sigh before Earth bending him in the balls making him let out a mortified scream as he dropped to his knees holding his balls.
"It's the person in question the that the weapon makes invincible not the other way around. And you are beyond pathetic." Korra said before grabbing the fleece and spear before throwing them to her husband before he equipped them both before attacking Set making him roar as the Spear launched him into the wall before Korra threw the Eye of Atlantis to him making him use it on Helios who lost control and crashed before she threw the Whip and used it on Hera's plants making her roar in rage.
"I'll KILL YOU!" Hera roared before Sean wrapped his chains around her before slamming her down hard making her groan.
Set jumped at Sean who growled before having his wings come out and flew into the air.
"I'll kill you myself!" Set yelled.
"Do that and you'll die from this height." Sean said making him look down and gasped seeing they were real high before Sean's body turned to water getting out of his grip before falling as did Set.
"NOOOO!" Set roared before he landed hard on the ground before Sean reformed.
"Like I said Poseidon's powers are my favorite." Sean said grinning before taking out the hammer of Thor before approaching a downed Set who was leaking gold blood as he crawled away. (I always found that weird in Gods of Egypt by the way)
Sean stood above him as he turned him with his foot.
"Behold...The God slayer." Set said making him growl before slamming his axe into his head killing him before he absorbed him before approaching Helios who coughed up blood.
"Kruger...I once owed your mother a debt. Save me now and I will owe it to you." Helios said.
"If you wanna repay me for sparing your life. Tell me who's been corrupting you and the gods." Sean said.
"Corrupting us...Who's to say this isn't who we truly are?" Helios asked.
"Oh bullshit." Sean said about to kill him.
"Feel the power...OF THE SUN!" Helios roared creating a bright light from his mouth and eyes but Sean blocked it before stepping on his face repeatedly before Sean grabbed his head and started pulling.
"AHHHH!" Helios roared in pain before Sean pulled it off before absorbing it and the rest of his body.
"And now...You." Sean said approaching Hera who got up before her crown broke apart.
"What have you done? What have you done to me!" Hera yelled before Sean kicked her into a wall before she started laughing. "Good luck with that little whore you call your wife." Hera mocked making him growl before grabbing her by the neck and roared as he snapped her neck killing her before absorbing her as well.
"Ah." Sean said collapsing to his knee before Korra rushed to him.
"You ok?" Korra asked.
"Yeah...I'll be fine." Sean said as she helped him stand up. "Well...Thats three less gods I have to deal with and...Hey. Where did that pathetic excuse for a half god go?" Sean asked not seeing his uncle.
"Must have run away after seeing he got beat in a second." Korra joked making him snort.
"Though I do appreciate the new weapons." Sean said spinning the spear of the destiny.
Next day
"I hope president Raiko listens to us." Korra said as she, Sean and Varrick walking to his office.
"Don't worry. I was a big contributor to his election campaign. Him and the other guy. Gotta hedge your bets." Varrick said before they went inside seeing Raiko and his staff.
"Now, How can I help the Avatar and my most Generous supporter?" Raiko asked.
"Unalaq's troops have invaded the South after they wanted independence away from the north. We need you to send the united forced to help." Korra said.
"I'm very concerned by what's happening down there, But I don't think it's the Republic's place to interfere with internal water tribe matters." Raiko said.
"Unalaq isn't even the rightful ruler of the Water Tribe. He lied his way onto the throne. Hired barbarians to attack his tribe 20 years ago to remove my father from becoming chief so he could enforce his ideas on the north." Korra argued.
"Mr. President, the Republic is already involved in this conflict. The north attacked our cultural center last night." Varrick said.
"Believe me, we are doing everything we can to bring the people responsible to justice." Raiko said.
"Regardless if they were responsible or not the North needs to be stopped and Unalaq won't leave the South alone until he has them under his thumb and enforces his will on them." Korra said.
"Now, I know that when you're young, it's hard to keep perspective..." Raiko tried to say.
"You're the one who's lost perspective. I'm trying to save my tribe, and your taking pictures." Korra said.
"She's not wrong on that." Sean said making him frown.
"Sending troops is not something I can do at this time, but I promise I will work with Unalaq and the South for a diplomatic solution." Raiko said.
"Diplomatic? Unalaq is a power hungry dog. He's tried to kill me on several occasions and once when I was five. Brought Ares down to the tribe and wouldn't have cared if the South was destroyed in the process." Sean said.
"I don't need to listen to you...God slayer." Raiko said glaring at him.
"The fuck did you just call me?" Sean asked.
"You heard me. I had heard Unalaq tried to stop you two from getting married. I actually agreed with him. Your marriage is a mistake. The power to kill gods and absorb them is a crime against nature. And now only a few remain because of you." Raiko said making them glare.
"I think we're done here." Korra said as they left.
"Do not cause any trouble. Monster." Raiko said before yelling in pain as Sean blasted him with lightning.
"Asshole." Sean said as they left.
Later
"I don't believe this! He's just like Unalaq." Korra said.
"I knew there was something about him I didn't like. Though unlike Unalaq he just hates whats different from ordinary." Sean said.
"How are we supposed to get those troops if he's against you?" Korra asked.
"Calm down. Come here." Sean said as she sat down and sighed.
"I just don't know what to do. My dad is out there fighting Unalaq because I opened that portal." Korra said.
"We'll fix that later. But right now you need to relax." Sean said making her lean into his shoulder.
"I'm just stressed." Korra said.
"Well...I might have a solution if you're up for it." Sean said making her smile lightly.
"Well...I guess it doesn't hurt." Korra said before he pulled her into a kiss making her moan before she removed his armor.
Sean pulled her shirt up before removing her pants seeing her blue bra and thong before taking off her bra making her breasts bounce before he latched onto the left one making her moan softly.

Next day
Sean and Korra walked to Varrick's boat and ran into Asami.
"Hey, whats the hurry with you two?" Asami asked.
"Sorry, we have to talk to Varrick." Korra said.
"Yeah, me too." Asami said as they made it on his ship.
However as Sean walked in first an arrow bounced off his arm armor making him glare seeing Varrick blindfolded with a bow before taking it off.
"Oh hello." Varrick said.
"You are a complete moron. You could have killed someone" Sean said annoyed.
"Sorry." Varrick said putting it away.
"We can't wait for the president to act since he's no different than Unalaq. We need those troops now." Korra said.
"And my company is about to go under. I have to find a way to make some sales." Asami said.
"Right. Okay. Got it. Idea storm." Varrick said as Zhu Li got some strange boots and hot peppers.
"The fuck?" Sean tried to say before Varrick ate one making his face all red before hanging upside down from his boots.
"Are you really sure he's a genius?" Korra asked Asami who shrugged.
"Hold on a tick. We don't need the president to go to the south. We just need the troops. Let's go straight to them. If there's one thing I know about troops, is that they love fighting." Varrick said.
"Depends on the troops." Sean said.
"We know General Iroh. He might be willing to help us." Korra said.
"A man on the inside. Perfect. And you need to sell some Mecha-Tanks. I know some people who need them right this moment. We'll ship'm south." Varrick said.
"Thats perfect. You'll be making money for your company, and you'll be helping to defeat Unalaq and reclaim the south." Korra said.
"It's true. If you can't make money during war, you just flat out cannot make money." Varrick said.
"Money isn't everything you know." Sean said.
"It's dangerous on those seas right now, but I'm willing to try if you are." Asami said.
"It'll be crazy risky, but I love crazy risky!" Varrick said getting down.
"I don't understand why it's so hard to get Republic City to support the South." Korra said.
"Because People don't know the real truth about whats going on just what we're saying. And Raiko is only interested in his own agenda's that are in Republic City." Sean said.
"Don't worry. I'm already working on that. As soon as people see this, they'll be lining up to fight Unalaq." Varrick said playing some film.
"Don't freak out. None of it is real." Bolin said before Eska's face was seen. "AHHHHHH!" Bolin screamed in a girly voice making Sean glare at him.
"You have the worst taste in women other than Korra. The fuck did you see in her?" Sean asked.
"Sorry." Bolin said.
Later
"Thank you for seeing us General Iroh." Korra said as she and Sean were on his command ship.
"What can I do for both of you?" Iroh asked.
"The South needs military support before Unalaq wipes them out completely, But Raiko is refusing to give the order since he doesn't care." Korra said.
"Hence why we came to you directly since we already tried going to him." Sean said.
"I see. Well, Suppose I were to take the fleet south on some routine training maneuvers. And lets say were were to accidentally run into a hostile northern blockade. We'd have no choice but to defend ourselves, wouldn't we?" Iroh said.
"I guess you wouldn't. Thank you." Korra said pleased before.
"Swapping old war stories?" Raiko asked making his presence known.
"Mr. President." Iroh said saluting.
"I hope you're not planning to take any military action without an order from your commander in chief." Raiko said.
"Of course not, sir." Iroh said.
"Good, because if a single vessel leaves this harbor without my say-so, you'll be court-martialed." Raiko said before glaring at Sean. "You just crossed the line. Consider yourself under arrest and you will be executed immediately." Raiko said before Sean punched him much to his shock before Sean picked him up.
"You don't have that kind of power. You may command the United forces but even you have limited power. And you have no authority to kill anyone just because you say so." Sean said dropping him as he looked fearful of him. "Try that again and I'll kill you without hesitation and I'm sure the people would be fine with that since when they learn you share the same views as Unalaq and Amon they'll see I did them a favor. NOW GET LOST!" Sean yelled as he ran off in fear.
"I hate that guy." Korra said pissed off.
"I'm sorry. My hands are officially tied. But you should try the firelord. My mother and Grandfather have always been friends with the Avatar and the Southern Water Tribe." Iroh said.
"I'll go myself. Raiko found out what we were planning somehow. We need to find out how. You'll do that while I talk to the Fire Nation." Sean said.
"Ok. Be careful." Korra said kissing him.
Later
Sean was on a speedboat heading to the fire nation.
"Hmm. How did he find out?" Sean asked before the boat shook violently making him look seeing Eska and Desna with the former looking furious.
"YOU RUINED MY WEDDING!" Eska roared before destroying his boat.
"FUCK!" Sean yelled using the Trident to speed away.
"I fucking knew you were a nutcase when we first met!" Sean yelled making her roar as she tried to kill him but he used the fleece to direct her attack back at her making her groan in pain. "Thank you Perseus. You actually are useful in delivering me weapons." Sean said amused.
However thats when a dark spirit came out of the water.
"Oh fuck." Sean said before pulling out the Blade of Olympus before blasting it but it dodged before dashing at him in the water and neither resurfaced.
Eska and Desna saw this before frowning and both dashed away from the area.
