Lisa ran through the forested terrain as she looked at her tracking device with the others right behind her. "We're getting close!" She said.

At last, the pushed through one more wall of bushes and stopped. They had arrived at an old mining station. The rails and slate wagons were overgrown with ivy and weeds. "What is this place?" Asked Leni.

"It's the old Pepper Rock mining company." Explained Abby. "The workmen here used to dig for lead and iron ore. And they were hopeful that they'd even find gold someday. But that was a VERY long time ago. My dad came here once on an expedition for the treasure. In fact, the Aqua Gem was found by my ancestor, Wilson not to far from here." The Louds were amazed.

Lisa continued following the tracker until she approached the entrance to an old mine shaft. "Everyone! Over here!" Called Lisa.

Lynn peered inside the shaft. "Lincoln's in there?" She asked. "Seems like it." Replied Lisa.

Before anyone could do anything, Dot ran and disappeared into the mine. "Dot!" Cried Lana. "What's she doing?" She asked. "Looks like she's going ahead to check things out. We'll follow behind. C'mon." Said Abby.

Abby then grabbed some scraps of wood wrapped some discarded tarp around their tips. By lighting them, Abby managed to create makeshift torches to light their way.

After everyone had been given a torch, Abby picked up Lily and together, they headed into the mine.

It was dark and cold, but the Louds didn't care. All they cared about was finding Lincoln.

The gang walked past rusted tracks, abandoned tools, caved in tunnels, and even had to cross an old wooden bridge. It creaked as they walked across. Lola looked down anxiously into the abyss. But she remembered Lincoln and made it across the bridge.

Luan was feeling nervous too. "I can't believe Lincoln's been kidnapped and now the whole state is in danger." She said to Lucy. "Don't worry Luan. "Everything is going to be ok. I promise." Replied Lucy, giving her a rare smile.

They soon came to a crossroad. One tunnel went left, and the other went right.

"Which way?" Asked Luna. Lisa looked at the ground and saw footprints leading left. Along with a trail of hoof prints. "Looks like Dot's on their scent. This way." She pointed. "Don't worry Lincoln, we're coming." Said Lori to herself as the headed left.
