PREVIOUSLY-

"What's happening, Jared?" I asked him, so worried that I couldn't hardly speak.

"Cullen is back."

As the words hit me, I felt a terrifying pain rip through my abdomen and I collapsed against Jared's chest.

"Bella?!" Jared exclaimed, quickly picking me up and taking me upstairs to the bed as I yelled out.

I was pretty sure this wasn't how labor was supposed to go. Wasn't it a gradual thing? Like start out small and get worse along the way? Because this was the complete opposite.

I yelled out again as I felt another contraction hit, this time worse than the one before.

"Bella, what do I do?" Jared asked me worriedly.

"Call Sue." I told him in between deep breaths as he helped me out of my maternity jeans and jacket.

"I need to tell Paul." He muttered as he scrambled for my cell phone to call Sue.

"The pack needs him right now." I whimpered.

"You and our children need him more. It wasn't a question, Bella. I'm going to tell Paul." Jared told me with authority. Beta.

I don't think he realized that he'd done it, but he'd used his beta command on me, and I had no choice but to accept his decision. I would've accepted it without him commanding it. I'd never actually seen him in full beta-mode. I couldn't actually blame him though; he was nervous and worried. We all were.

While I was in my trance, Jared had been trying to call Sue on my phone.

"Dammit!" He yelled, throwing the phone back on the bed.

"What's wrong?" I questioned quickly before feeling another horrifying pain rip through me.

After it was over, he finally answered. "Her phone keeps going straight to voicemail. That's not like Sue. She always has her phone on, especially now that she knew we could call at any time."

I was definitely worried now. These babies were coming and very, very soon. My pregnancy was accelerated, why did I somehow think that my labor would be any different?

"Go tell Paul but hurry." I told him with labored breaths. He looked at me and nodded, running out of the bedroom as quickly as possible.

I was now officially freaking out.

Jared POV-

I ran out of the house and phased right out of my shorts.

"We need to try to keep him away from Forks! We don't have time to warn Charlie!" I heard Sam yell into the pack mind. No!

"Jared, why the fuck are you phased in right now?!" Paul asked me as I watched and listened to what was happening.

"Bella is in labor. It's going to be soon." I told him with urgency.

"FUCK!" Paul yelled, thinking about the fact that his children (and mine) were about to be born in the middle of all of this. "Oh shit-fucking-dammit! He's coming after me now! Fucker must've heard my thoughts! Go help our imprint, Jared. I can't risk leading him there! That's what he wants!"

I growled and phased out immediately. That was the last thing Bella needed right now and I was worried for Paul too.

I ran back upstairs to Bella as she was having another contraction. When I stepped into the bedroom, she was standing in a puddle of water, hunched over onto the bed moaning.

She looked over at me worriedly and I carefully helped her back onto the bed, not giving a shit about the blankets. They could be washed.

"I don't think it's going to be long now, Jared. What did Paul say?" She moaned again, covered in sweat.

I didn't know what to tell her. I couldn't say that Paul was currently being chased by her psychotic vampire ex-boyfriend or that Charlie was potentially in danger.

"He won't be here in time and I can't get Sue. We're going to have to do this ourselves, Bella." I replied to her.

I knew that she knew there was more to it but she wasn't in the position to question it at the moment.

She yelled out again and reached down between her legs. Her eyes widened immediately.

"Jared! They're coming… NOW!" She said, motioning for me to get down between her legs instead of at her side where I had been.

I quickly changed positions and could immediately see why she'd said what she did. I could see a head already.

I took a deep breath before looking back up at her. "Alright, Bella. You can push." I told her reassuringly, knowing I would have to be strong for her.

When her next contraction hit, she started pushing. I held my hands underneath the baby's head as it came out.

"You can do this, Bella! The first baby is almost out." I told her, knowing that she needed the encouragement. She pushed again and the baby's shoulders came out with the rest of body following soon after.

I pulled the small baby to my chest. "It's our girl, Bella. She came first." I told her, looking down at our perfect little baby girl in my arms as she started to cry.

I knew I didn't have much time though. I had to tie off her umbilical cord and deal with the placenta before the other baby was born.

I did so quickly and handed her to Bella while I dealt with the afterbirth. No sooner than I had that taken care of, there was another gush of water and I could see our son's head crowning already.

"The second one is coming. Are you okay to hold her as you push?" I asked her very seriously.

"I can hold her. It'll be okay." She replied confidently before another contraction hit her. I watched carefully to make sure she was okay holding our daughter before focusing on our son.

His birth was much quicker than his sister's. He was in my arms with only one push.

"Welcome to the world, little one." I told him as I held him close to my chest just as I had with his sister. He was bigger than her and it was noticeable, but she was still technically his big sister. He let out a cry and I felt so much relief that it was incredible.

I just wished Paul had been here for it all as well. I took care of the rest with our son in one arm and when everything was finally done, I walked to grab a couple blankets to wrap them in.

I came back and carefully wrapped both of them up before brushing a piece of hair out of Bella's face. I immediately knew something was happening when I felt her skin.

"Bella, you're burning up." I told her, worried about what that meant.

She didn't have time to reply before we heard a howl from outside and this time it was close.

I looked down at Bella as she started shaking in front of my own eyes. Was she going to phase?!

"What's happening?!" She asked me worriedly.

"Bella, put the baby down." I instructed immediately. She did so and started shaking harder. I put our son down with his sister in the middle of the bed where I knew they'd be safe and picked Bella up, running her outside as fast as I could.

No sooner than we were out of the door and I'd sat her down, I stared at her in shock.

Bella had phased.
