Hi, I hope you have all been doing well! I have made a profile on pinterest, where I am also called QueenNothingness. It is much easier to make pinterest boards to give you an idea how their transformations look. I have not completed them for all the Winx yet by the time this chapter finds you, but I will soon. :) I have no problem describing their transformations in the chapters, but I draw the line at crowns. There are so much details I find it difficult. Hence, this solution. ^^ Let's get on with the chapter - QueenNothingness

Ember was not sure what to make of the next step in their journey. She was very excited ofcourse, but the question was still how they would be able to get into Odos.

Though Tecna and Timmy had said they would find a way, the days went by and still no answer as to how get in. The climate in the magical dimension was changing, and not in a good way. Alfea, Magix and the other schools had stayed unaffected, but there were echoes of other places,...

Places ravaged by tornados, storms, even earthquakes, all because Nagendra was looking for a diamond he was desperate to find. And apparently he had no qualms destroying whole planets while looking for it.

That was why Ember was desperate to find it, and also, dare she admit it? , try out her new transformation. She knew it was but one of three, but only by remembering the crown that was part of it, she was very intrigued, to say the least.

'You coming, Ember?' Mirta asked, peeking out of the door, gaze falling on the girl who was just turning another page from her magazine. 'For...?' Mirta grinned, eyes sparkling happily.

'Tecna and Timmy found a way.' Ember was up in seconds, sprinting behind her best friend. She fell silent when they all gathered in the library, Lisna greeting her softly, settling herself on her fairy's shoulder.

'You found a way?' Emma asked, looking over the holographic map Timmy pulled up. 'Yes, but it might be dangerous.'

Stella snorted, shaking her head in mock disbelief. 'Is anything ever not dangerous?' Musa asked, sitting down with a sigh as the Specialists listened to Timmy's plan.

'There is a forcefield around the planet, as you all well know. But, we are pretty sure that Ember will be able to get through it, like she did when retrieving the last feather.'

'From there on, we will transform and go right into the lake. Layla and Ember have been practicing making airbubbles, which will allow us to breathe.'

Clarissa blinked, not sure what to say. 'That sounds great, actually. I did not even know you could do something like that, Ember, Layla.' Both girls winked, Tecna giving Clarissa an encouraging smile, closing the device.

'Let's hope we find the answers we are looking for.' The Winx nodded, their resolve strengthening. The ride to the planet was silent, Ember's nerves slowly but surely getting worse.

Though she would not see much of her birthplanet, she had to admit her curiosity was peaked. Even if it was but a small sliver of the place she partially came from.

'Get ready to transform and go into the lake, people. We will be there in a few minutes.' A look passed between the girls, fueled by the knowledge they were starting a new transformation.

'Ember, you want to do the honours?' Bloom humoured her. The fairy nodded, her excitement reaching a crescendo. 'Magic Winx, Airix Consort form.'

'Well, this is exciting.' Stella smiled, giving her new wings a twirl for good measure. 'We are almost at the gate, girls. Get ready!' Lorn admonished, throwing them a determined look before looking back at the monitors of the ship.

The doors opened, the wind howling in their faces. 'Be careful!' Elion whispered, squeezing her hand before taking a step back. Ember nodded at Layla, both girls gathering their powers in their hands.

Several bubbles of air appeared before Ember and Layla's hands. The bubbles went to the respective fairies, encompassing their heads.

'Keep close to each other!' Bloom called out over the wind, eyes dropping to the lake. 'Ember will go first and will make sure we get through. We will however have but a few seconds. So be quick and put those wings to good use!'

Mirta swallowed, standing next to Clarissa, wringing her hands together. 'On the count of three!' Tecna shouted, looking back at the others. '1...2...3...NOW!'

Ember dove into the open air, hands in front of her as the water of the lake came closer and closer. A blast of blue left both her hands, as she put them together, the beam of power getting bigger and bigger.

Nothing seemed to happen for a moment, before finally the water started to swirl, making an opening. There was nothing but black greeting them, no ground or anything else.

Ember's gaze fell on Bloom, who gave her a determined nod, holding her shoulder as they came closer and closer. There was a splash of blue, water sloshing around them and than...

Nothing.

Black, everything was black. Ember could not see or hear anything. She heard her friends calling for each other in the distance, but it seemed faraway.

Welcome, princess. A soft voice whispered, much like the sound of tinkling windchimes during the height of summer. We have been waiting for you.

The fairy of air felt two hands grabbing hers, and than there was nothing but light. The brightness shocked her, her arms going up instictively to block it out. 'Ember, you okay?' Emma asked next to her.

The blackhaired fairy's eyes finally opened, looking to her friend. 'We have finally arrived. It is so beautiful!' Roxy squealed, gazing into the distance.

There was nothing but sky and clouds surrounding them here, a soft wind blowing around them. There was however a certain sparkle to everything, and Ember could not stop herself from thinking this looked very much like what she thought heaven used to look like when she was younger.

'If I may ask...who are you?' Flora asked, eyebrow raising in question looking at the spirit-like being before them. The spirit had the form of a woman, but she was transparent and sparkled almost.

She could have very much have been family of Ember, with the black hair and blue eyes, though the giant wings that reminded them much of a those of a bird, would say otherwise.

'I am the guardian of these Eternal Skies. Tasked with protecting the diamond until the true guardian would appear. It seems to me this day has finally come.' The woman laughed softly, looking behind her.

'Are you family of Ember?' Stella asked curiously, ignoring the harsh murmurs of her name by her friends, who admonished her for being rude.

'I am, in a way.' The woman did not seem bothered by Stella's line of questioning. Ember's eyebrows raised, silently asking the woman to continue.

'When the diamond was created, at the very beginning, everyone got their powers from it. The planet Odos thrived from it, and also did it's people. Noone was really the guardian, it served everyone. Until one tribemember decided he would use the diamond for himself. He named himself king, making everyone bow to him as he had the diamond, the source of our planet's power, in his possession.'

The woman closed her eyes, as if remembering. 'The tribes decided to come together and fight him, as he did not only control our planet, but the climate of other planets as well, extorting them for money and power. We fought him, all of us, my sisters and I at the forefront.'

'We won eventually and stopped him, but at a much too high price. One of my sisters died, killing the king while sacrificing herself. The diamond was furious, so he punished us.'

Ember looked up, not liking the turn of this story.

'Everyone used to draw their power from the diamond. To make sure no one could use it again, everyone lost their powers but a select few. Those select few were my older sister Odiana, the first queen who ruled Odos and the one who started Ember's bloodline. The other one was I, who decided to become the guardian of these skies to make sure the diamond could never be used for wrong decisions again.'

She looked at Ember, a sad smile appearing on her lips. 'That king was Nagendra, and he is back. The witches he wants to release are followers of him who are extremely powerful, maybe even more powerful than the diamond itself.'

Clarissa groaned, shaking her head. 'If he releases them, with or without the diamond, he would be the most powerful wizard in the magical dimension.'

The guardian of the Eternal Skies nodded, giving Ember a long look. 'You are the only ones who can stop him. Ask for the diamond, Ember, and it will come.'

Ember opened her mouth, asking where to begin, until a shudder went through the skies. 'He is here.' The guardian cursed opening her wings for taking flight. Two swords appeared in her hands, wind howling around them as the sun was slowly covered by black clouds.

'GO NOW!' Musa grabbed Ember by the hand, dragging her friend with her. 'I will try to hold him off.'

'But...' Mirta sputtered, Roxy pushing her to get her to fly faster. Ember looked back, two giant snakes appearing from the portal, a hooded figure in between them.

And somewhere, the fairy of air wondered, if the guardian could not hold him off, how could she?
