TheSBRquestioner: Ha Ha! The turns have been tabled! This time it was I who predicted you! Yes, the confrontation on the train will happen, but it won't play out the same way it did in the manga. I can guarantee that AT LEAST one of the characters you mentioned will survive to fight another day. I'll give you a hint: Why didn't I make Kyoka the Jobro if I'm going to continue the story after the Steel Ball Run? Take that information and do whatever you want with it...unless I'm lying. :)
DeathlyJazzHands55: Thank you! You know, you were the first person to give my story the time of day, and I truly appreciate it. If you haven't read this guy's stories, I would highly recommend it!
Coolk: Well, yes...the last stage will be the end of an era, but I still have so many stories to tell in this universe. Susan hasn't really gotten her comeuppance yet, and Santana is still alive...sounds like the next big bads if you catch my drift.
PhantomKnightPercival: Yeah...I'm pretty sure he's immortal.
TheCommonCold: I wouldn't worry about that, Valentine is subtle, he wouldn't just up and attack a bunch of hero students. As for the GER fight...I think Johnny wouldn't last too long. It would probably be more for laughs than anything. As for future fics...I am considering a JOJOLION sequel...but it wouldn't make sense until I finish this story. I was also thinking of making a Kill La Kill story, but I don't have any ideas for it yet. And, a spin-off featuring one of the characters from this story after the events of the SBR, kind of like Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan.
...
Funny Valentine's eyes scanned the room, before they found Johnny. They stared at each other, daring the other to make the first move. While the racers were horrified by the President's sudden appearance, the U.A students were in awe.
"Mr. President, it is an honor!" Iida said, frantically bowing.
Valentine paid him no attention, he was focused on Johnny. Then, Valentine finally spoke.
"Destroy the robots, we have an island to save."
"Yes sir!"
The men began using an assortment of weapons and quirks to battle the robots, and the U.A students were reinvigorated by the President's support, while Johnny and Gyro just stared in shock.
He's...helping us?
Valentine walked straight into the battle without the slightest care, and the outline of a figure with horns appeared behind him, and although Johnny couldn't make it out, it had to be his stand.
Two robots charged towards the President, but somehow he must have dodged, because the two robots smashed into each other, while Valentine vanished into thin air.
Momo created a small grenade and threw it into the swarm of the bots, taking a dent out of them, but it put an even bigger strain on her. Then a Snickers bar entered her field of vision.
Gyro smiled. "You aren't you when you're hungry...keep fighting Yaomomo."
Momo let out a laugh and gratefully accepted the candy bar. "Thank you Zeppeli, this really helps."
Suddenly, a loud crash was heard, and Wekapipo slammed through the window with a bruised and bloody, but alive, Joseph Joestar.
"We're here, bitches!"
" ...I am not associated with this man. "
Gyro grinned at their arrival. "All right, I think the odds just turned in our favor! Three Spin users are better than one!"
"Spin?"
"Oh...I'll explain later."
Valentine appeared yet again, and suddenly a bunch of the robots began fusing together, and then disintegrating. Johnny stared in a mixture of awe and horror. What the hell is this guy's ability...this would be cool if he wasn't my enemy...
He might use that on me...
That's when the entire building shook, and all of the heroes struggled to find their footing. "What the hell is happening! " Kyoka shouted. The whole tower began floating, and the teens began falling into the open air.
Johnny saw the street below rushing towards him, there was nowhere to shoot. Johnny was completely helpless. Then he felt someone grab the back of his collar, and Johnny looked up to see Funny Valentine holding him up with his stand's arm.
He's...saving me?
Valentine pulled him up until they were nose to nose. "After this...we need to talk, Kujo. About you-know-what."
Valentine set him back on solid ground and walked towards the chaos. Wolfram was in the middle of a giant metal nightmare, and All Might was trying to fight him. Johnny watched in terror as Wolfram dug his fingers directly into All Might's wound.
He knows that All Might is getting weaker.
And then metal closed around the villain and the Symbol of Peace, and heavy metal spikes pierced through.
"ALL MIGHT!"
A flash of green, and Izuku slammed into the metal clusterfuck with a "SMAAAASH!" and freed his mentor, Toshinori and Izuku fell to the ground. They grabbed hands, and shot towards Wolfram together.
Two One For All users? Yeah, this guy is fucked.
The two dodged every piece of metal that Wolfram threw at them, until he threw a giant cube at them.
"DOUBLE DETROIT SMAAAAAAASH!"
Yeah, that cube was cool and all, but the way it blew up was even cooler.
Johnny stared in amazement. Izuku...just how much did you grow while I was away? He's amazing! A big smile came onto his face as the two heroes slammed into the villain, causing a massive explosion.
The attack was over. I-Island was saved.
...
"How's your head?" Johnny asked. Kyoka had an ice pack to her head, but she gave him a bright smile.
"Better! I guess I can cross getting punted by a Pillar Man off my bucket list."
Johnny laughed. "He almost got a field goal!"
"Oh shut up!"
While the party was cancelled, the U.A students and the SBR racers decided to have a barbecue before their time on the island was over. They were now wearing their normal attire, and Johnny, Gyro, Izuku, and Kyoka were all sitting together.
"Might I say, Midoriya, you and All Might were amazing! Johnny, why didn't you tell me he was a beast?" Gyro asked.
"A beast? No, not a beast. He's a legend!" Johnny nudged Izuku with his elbow, causing the quirk inheritor to blush. "I'm not all that great..."
*SMACK*
"OW!"
"I'm sorry, but I had to hit you for being a dumbass. You literally just demolished half a building."
"With All Might's help."
"Midoriya, most people can't even compare to All Might...you were keeping up with him no problem." Kyoka said.
"It's true." The group turned to see Diego walking towards them. He was looking sheepish. "Do you mind if I-"
"No...not at all."
A small smile came across Diego's face as he sat down next to the group. Johnny turned to his former rival. "You're our friend, Diego...I think you've earned it."
"Thank you." Diego proceeded to clean his plate in one bite.
After Kyoka finished staring at the British jockey's feat of gluttony, she turned to Johnny. "So...after this, you guys have to go back to the race?"
Both Johnny and Gyro nodded. "It's not done yet...but I think we're close."
"So what happens when it's over?"
Johnny shrugged. "I go back to living with Gramps, I guess..." Kyoka frowned. She was hoping that he would say that he was coming back to Japan. He already proved that he wasn't helpless, what was stopping Jotaro from letting him come back?
"So...after you guys leave, we aren't going to see you again." Izuku said as he looked down, tears starting to form in his eyes.
Johnny let out a dry chuckle. "Yare yare...it's almost cruel, having to say goodbye twice...but at least I got to see you guys in person again...that was more than I could've asked for..."
"I...I don't want to...I want this day to last forever!" Izuku said, and Kyoka couldn't help but agree with him.
"All good things must come to an end...that's a lesson I learned the hard way, Izuku...but we should be happy that they do." Izuku looked up in surprise as Johnny continued.
"I...see things more clearly now. I've been living in the past my whole life...trying to be like my dad, letting what my mother did haunt me, wishing that I was back in class with you guys...training on the beach. But, the past is just that: the past. It happened, it's over, it isn't healthy to keep living in it. I've...accepted the way things are.
And it's all thanks to you, Kyoka."
"What?!"
"Back when we were fighting that stand...when you...you know. You made me realize that I was letting my mother define me...that I viewed myself the way that she saw me, instead of the way that the people that mattered saw me. You opened my eyes...you convinced me, that even though I might never walk again, that my life meant something. So I'm not going to dwell on the past any longer, wishing that things were different.
Because you gave me hope for the future."
Kyoka's eyes brimmed with tears. I...I really did save him! She crushed him in a hug, and Izuku joined in, and Gyro wrapped his arms around the three of them, while Diego looked on awkwardly.
"I'm going to miss you...so much..."
"Hey, it isn't time to say goodbye yet, so we can get emotional later. Let's eat!"
"Ahem."
The group broke apart to see Funny Valentine standing behind them. "May I talk to Kujo and Zeppeli, in private?..."
The aura went from wholesome to tense in mere seconds. Johnny and Gyro had neutral faces, but from what Kyoka heard, both of their hearts were going nuts.
Why are they so scared?! It's the President of the United States! It's...
Someone with connections...to the government...
Oh...
Oh NO.
Now Kyoka's heart was beating fast. The President was their enemy. And he wanted to talk to them privately.
Johnny pressed his lips together and gave Valentine a forced smile. "Sure, Mr. President...it would be an honor."
The rest of the class was watching the scene with a look of amazement, except for Kyoka. She turned her head to Izuku, and sure enough he was sweating profusely, he had figured it out too.
Johnny got into his wheelchair and began to wheel over, with Gyro following, when Kyoka impulsively grabbed onto his arm. There was undeniable fear in her eyes, she was scared for him. Damn, she must have figured it out.
"He can't kill us here...too many people." Johnny whispered in such a way that only Kyoka could hear. Kyoka frowned and reluctantly let go, giving Johnny a look that said: We'll be talking about this later.
Gyro and Johnny reluctantly followed their worst enemy as Diego slowly put a hand to the gun in his belt, in case things got nasty.
...
Valentine stopped. "Alright, we are out of earshot. We can stop here."
Johnny remembered Kyoka. Yeah...I don't think we are...
"So..." The President continued, "As you already know...I have your Corpse Parts."
"Well yes."
Valentine turned around. "I have what I want, so I will not pursue you further...but if you decide to pursue me, I will not hesitate to kill the both of you...my plan is too important."
"Your plan, Mr. Valentine, is insane." Gyro said, glaring at the President.
"Is it insane to want world peace?" Valentine asked.
"World peace, no. World Domination, absolutely." Johnny replied.
"The World cannot be at peace unless it is unified, separate nations and peoples will continue to bicker unless they share a common goal, standing together under one banner. That banner will be the Stars and Stripes, I will make sure of it. I will make the whole planet America, a worldwide democracy...what part of that is evil?"
Johnny remained silent. He could see why Valentine managed to seduce so many people to his side, it honestly sounded like he was the one in the right...
Except for the whole murder thing...
"I...It sounds too good to be true...it is too good to be true. It will never work...people are too different, too many different ideals and beliefs. Hell, my morals were thrown for a loop as soon as you sent people after me. I never thought I had the guts to kill someone, until I did it...it won't work, even if you have fate on your side, there will always be someone trying to kill someone else."
Valentine glared at them. "Just stay out of my way..." He walked around the corner and vanished.
Gyro glanced at Johnny. "We're going after him, aren't we?"
"...yeah, why not?"
...
"We're ba-"
The sound of two earphone jacks hitting their targets rang through the air, as Gyro and Johnny both clutched at their heads.
"OW!"
"MALEDETTO!"
"The fucking PRESIDENT?!" Kyoka hissed. "Um...I can explain."
"No need, I heard everything!" Kyoka motioned with one of her jacks. "What the hell! You said it was someone with connections to the government...NOT THE LITERAL GOVERNMENT!"
"Well, I mean...there's still two other branches that don't want us dead, the Legislative and Judicial branches are still pretty-"
Kyoka grabbed Gyro's hat and yanked down, leading to it getting stuck over his eyes. Gyro ran around trying to pull it off, looking like something out of Looney Tunes. Izuku turned the corner and looked like he was about to intervene, but Kyoka shot him a look, and he turned around and briskly walked back to their friends.
Kyoka angrily turned to Johnny. "I knew you were in danger, but THIS?! This is too much! How did you sign up for a race, and end up getting involved with a "Take over the World" plot?!"
"I told you before, I was draw-"
"Oh don't pull that destiny bullshit! It isn't funny anymore, he's one of the most powerful men on the planet! How the hell have you lived this long?!"
"...we killed them first."
Kyoka went pale. "So...you really...you."
"I had no choice! I can't walk, in case you didn't notice! I've told you I'm in real deep shit, what did you think I meant by that?!"
Kyoka had known Johnny was in danger, but the full weight of it had finally hit her. He was really in danger, as in one foot in the grave type of danger. He could die at any moment, and then he would be gone from her life...
"Come home."
"What?"
Kyoka put her hand in his and squeezed it. "Come home, JoJo. Take off, I'll have Yaomomo make a plane ticket for you, damn what your old man thinks, damn the Corpse, damn Valentine. I can't let you go through this anymore. I care way too much...I don't want to hop in that group chat one day, and get no response..."
Johnny looked down at her hand in his. He wanted to, he wanted to leave with her so bad...
But he couldn't...he couldn't give up now.
"I can't..."
"Jo-"
"I can't! I'm too deep in this now...Gyro, Diego, Hot Pants, Wekapipo...I can't abandon them! I want to come home Kyoka...I really do...but not without seeing this through to the end."I
Kyoka blinked back tears. "I don't want you to die..."
Johnny pulled her in and wrapped his arms around her. Kyoka's eyes widened at the sudden gesture of affection. Johnny had never been the one to initiate a hug before...
"I know...I know you're worried, and it hurts to put that burden on you...you are one of the most important people in my life, Kyoka."
Kyoka's eyes widened as she saw the boats dock onto shore, ready to pick up the racers to return to the Steel Ball Run. The fact that she was going to have to say goodbye, really soon, and that Johnny just said that she was important to him...it was too much. She tightened her trip on her friend and burst into tears. Johnny rubbed her back, but she heard him sniffling too.
This might be the last time she would ever get to see him alive.
"You...you're really important to me too...Johnny."
Gyro, who had freed himself from his hat, raised an eyebrow. No nickname...just Johnny, huh?
Johnny pulled himself away and put his hands on her shoulders, his green eyes meeting her purple. Kyoka saw a shining resolve in his eyes, and she had to smile through her tears.
"I need something from you, Kyoka...something I can't get through this without."
"What...?"
"I need your faith. I need you to believe in me, to believe that I will try my best to get through this alive. Do you trust me?"
"JoJo..."
"Hm?"
"I've had my faith in you since the USJ."
Johnny smiled, and Kyoka returned it. Their faces were inches away from each other...and they were getting closer. Gyro began bouncing from foot to foot, grinning from ear to ear, eagerly awaiting the impact.
Only for Bakugo to show up and push Kyoka aside.
YOU FUCKING PORCUPINE LOOKING BASTARD, THEY WERE SO CLOSE!
Gyro angrily punched the wall, startling Diego, who was beside him.
MY SHIP WAS SAILING! FUCK!
"Listen here, cripple boy. Don't think getting the spotlight will make you better than me!"
CRUNCH
Bakugo's eyes crossed as he fell over, clutching his balls. Kyoka had fufilled her promise.
...
Johnny and the others boarded the boat. He looked out towards his friends as they tearfully waved goodbye.
"Goodbye JoJo! You will always be my classmate, no matter what!" Iida yelled.
"We'll be watching the race, hope you guys do good!" Uraraka beamed up at them.
"Goodbye JoJo! And Zeppeli, I hope we can meet again someday!" Momo called out.
Gyro winked back down at her, earning a sigh from his companion.
Kyoka didn't say anything, and neither did Izuku. They didn't need to. They just waved as their friends departed.
You have my faith JoJo...
Don't fuck up.
Johnny smiled and turned towards his companions. "So..got any plans?"
"Wekapipo still has the legs...so we have something at least."
"Okay...let's steal back that Corpse!" Gyro said, pumping his fist into the air.
Johnny, Hot Pants, and Diego nodded in agreement, and pumped their fists into the air too.
They failed to notice a pair of binoculars set on them from the bottom of one of the boats. A one-eyed Magenta Magenta brought them down, glaring gratefully at Johnny's back.
Why does a one-eyed man need binoculars? Nobody could tell you. Probably shoved one too many crayons up his nose or something.
...
Valentine sat in his room inside of his personal yacht, and sighed.
He knew Johnny wasn't going to heed his warning...but he felt courteous at the moment.
Valentine took a sip from his coffee, only to spit it back out.
WHAT THE HELL?! WHAT IS THIS RANCID TASTE?!
On the boat with the racers on it, Gyro was grinning like a madman.
