Izuku
I end up landing straight into a body of water. What I recognize as Ausui's tongue, wraps around my waist and pulls me out of the water onto the ship.
"That was unpleasant. Thanks." I cough out a little water that got in my mouth and dry myself off. "Is it just you and Mineta?"
"Yeah. There's a bunch of villains in the water so we're kind of stuck here." she replies.
"What are we going to do?" Mineta frets.
I could probably just fly us away... but there's no guarantee they won't just follow us. Meaning we need to take care of them before we escape. And I need to use the least amount of flames possible doing so. I've already slightly overdone it with that stunt I pulled earlier. I give a considering glance at Mineta's pop-offs. That… could potentially work.
"How many of those can make."
"I don't know a bunch?"
"You have an idea."
I nod, "If Mineta throws his pop offs into the water, I can make a big enough disturbance in the water to throw them around."
"And they'd get stuck together." Mineta widens his eyes in realization
"Would you be able to get you and Mineta to land." I ask Ausi
She scans the edge of the lake. "I can, using that light post. But what about you?"
"I've got my own ride." I smile.
"Right, I forgot you can fly."
"Let's hurry up so we can meet up with the others."
Mineta furiously throws numerous pop off into the water until his scalp bleeds and his face is covered in snot and tears. But soon enough the surface of the lake is covered.
"That should be enough, good job." He smiles through his tears. "I'll create a distraction, use that opportunity to get to land."
I activate dying will mode and fly straight up, lobbing a relatively weak fire ball into the water. This immediately is met with retaliation. I dodge various weapons and attacks, keeping one eye on the other two and as soon as they make it off the ship I punch straight down on it.
"Big Bang Axel!" It shatters into pieces with a deafening boom, displacing water so quickly it forms a massive wave that slams the coast and then rapidly retreats back into the center.
Multiple groups of villains all stuck together with various debris float to the surface when the water finally settles.
I land next to them, both appearing a bit dazed.
"You alright?" I ask.
"Ah.. Yeah." Mineta awkwardly responds.
"Great! Then let's mee-" I suddenly stop and grip my head in pain, intuition blaring in alarm. I need to go to Aizawa. I need to go now.
"What's wrong?"
"Sensei's in trouble. I have to go help him. You'll be safer if you stay here."
"I'm going with you." Asui declares and with one look at her I know there's no arguing with her.
"Fine." I sigh in defeat. "What about you Mineta?"
"I'll meet up with the others. I… don't think I'll be much help."
"You've already been a great help." Ausi assures him.
He gives a weak smile, and while I'd like to reassure him, we don't have time.
"Get on, I'm flying there."
"Be careful." She warns Mineta.
"You too."
She quickly wraps herself around me, once she's firmly latched on I launch myself into the air.
I set us down in the lake a little away from Aizawa so the ring leaders don't immediately spot us. Aizawa is holding his own against the man I assume is the leader, but Aizawa screams when the leader catches the elbow aimed at his face. In horror we watch as it starts to disintegrate before he's able to pull away.
My flames lash out in anger, urging me to go beat his face in. This impulse clashes with my intuition that urges me to wait. I growl in frustration, long familiar at curbing my knee jerk reactions. Because while I would like nothing more than to grind his face into the floor for hurting what's mine, there is always a reason why. No matter how much I hate it.
"That's enough playing around Shiragaki." The teleporter orders, opening a new portal.
A figure steps through, dark skinned with an exposed brain, and a beak like mouth with jagged teeth, the thing was horrifying to even look at. But that had nothing on what my intuition was screaming at me. Immediately, I know that this is what was holding me back. That thing was dangerous. Like kill everyone here, kind of dangerous. But beyond the blaring alarm of danger, there's something else.
I focus on that feeling, trying to get a better read on them. Only to be nearly knocked off my feet, I bend over gripping my head in pain.
"Izuku?! Are you alright?" Asui asks.
"Yea" I manage to say through gritted teeth and blurry eyes. That thing is screaming in pain, over and over again in different voices. Asking, no, begging someone to kill them. To stop them, that they don't want to hurt anyone, to make the pain stop. Tears unknowingly start to run down my cheeks.
"Midoriya?"
"I'm fine." I futilely try to reassure her, but she doesn't seem to believe me,which is fair, I don't believe me.
The overwhelming grief and horror is quickly fading into anger now, as Shiragaki boasts about how Nomu was designed to defeat All Might. How it's the ultimate weapon.
All I can think is, how dare they.
The screaming intensifies when Shiragaki commands them to attack Eraserhead. They don't want this, but their body betrays them. Aizawa manages to catch them in his capture weapon, however, they only have to flex their arm to snap the bindings. It slams Aizawa face into the concrete so hard it leaves a crater, and twists back one of his arms so forcefully I can hear the snap from here.
I hold myself back with a will that's threatening to snap. Not yet. I clench my fists, trying not to vibrate out of my skin with rage. My flames chanting mineMineMINEHOWDARETHEY in the background.
Asui is trembling next to me for a different reason, eyes transfixed to Aizawa's prone form.
"Oh." the blue haired man exclaims when he catches sight of us. "Kurogiri."
Black mist bursts into being right in front of Asui's face and a hand reaches through. Asui paralyzed in fear, can only watch in horror as the hand gets closer. Just as his finger touches her forehead I yank the back of her costume, so she falls safely backwards into the water. The mist and hand disappear.
"That's a good expression you have." He comments. I can only imagine what my face looks like right now. If it's anything like the burning rage in me threatening to overflow and cause destruction, it must be terrifying. I pull myself out of the water, steam rising off my body as the water in my clothes evaporates from the heat.
"Tsuna." Aizawa forces out from where he's still pinned down. Blood drips down his face, his arms are a mess and I doubt he could move even if he wanted to. But he stubbornly stares at me in the eye and commands. "Go all out."
Finally.
"Don't worry." A crown of flames ignites on my brow as the burning rage transforms into the cold apathy that comes with Hyper mode. I raise a fist and let it explode in flames as well. Flames singing of destruction with unmitigated glee.
"I'll defeat them with my dying will."
