Chapter 28
Marinette quickly glanced at her mirror before glancing back at her duffle bag. She's glad about vampires being available to see their reflection, which is just a myth not seeing one's reflection from superstitious humans. She could feel herself still flushed from… she couldn't even go there without even blushing scarlet again. Marinette could feel herself shiver from the ghostly touch, yet she's not sure if it's from Chat's wandering hands or even her grandma Gina's tender kiss on her forehead. Marinette let out a sigh as she checked her duffle bag one more time.
She had flashlights, blood bags, a shitty map of catacombs from the internet, and a couple of wooden stakes. Marinette knew it's suicidal to go to the catacombs, since it's basically a sanctuary for the baddie vampires that reside there. In fact, the catacombs is already a pitch black place, yet it's even dark for nocturnal creatures who could see well in the dark.
Marinette turned her phone on, which quickly reminded her to put her phone charger inside her duffle bag too. For better measure, she put in blankets and a jump rope. She didn't have any rope, so she had to improvise. Marinette is not sure what she's up against, even though it's crazy she's going down catacombs based on some lucid dreams. However, she knew Chat had some special power as a vampyre, so it's not surprising if he could invade her dreams as well.
Although, it did explain the strange happenings with her lately at night, and she almost wanted to ring up Chat's neck for going over the top with Edward Cullen creepy-sleep stalking. She took a deep breath, calming herself down and finding herself not really mad.
Marinette damn knew that she felt full and well rested after those… intense dreams. She quickly zipped up her bag, not wanting to go down that rabbit hole thought. She saw the sun glistening in the sky, knowing that it's still a late morning. Marinette knew leaving now, she and Alya might have a better chance getting to Adrien and the coven without other vampires interfering with their plans. As she headed towards her bedroom door, thankful that her family and some of the Dupain coven members slept soundly. Well, they slept soundly when Alya spiked something in their drinks, which would literally make them sleep like the dead. Marinette knew Alya could be cunning and resourceful, but sometimes Alya's hidden Slytherin makes Marinette's eyes widen at times.
Marinette felt guilty for putting her family and Dupain coven to sleep, but Marinette knew this was something she had to do on her own. At first, she didn't want to tell Alya about her crazy plan, yet Alya saw right through her. Well, Alya walked in on Marinette's bloody naked state and stood there dumbly for a couple of minutes. However, once Marinette explained her dreams to Alya, which didn't really feel like dreams if she's being honest. Alya told her she's going with her, even if it's a bit far fetch to go to catacombs based on a wanky sex dream. Alya's words, not Marinette's, and she blushed furiously when Alya asked if Marinette reached her climax of her lucid dream. Marinette swore Alya would be the death of her embarrassment, even though Marinette was already technically dead because of her hybrid nature.
As Marinette opened her door, she felt herself going still when Alya waved awkwardly at her door frame. As Marinette glanced up, she saw her grandfather Rolland staring down at her with a grimace.
"Umm, hiya grandfather, it's still morning. What are you still doing up, you should really get some sleep?" Marinette asked, even though she sounded like an utter bonehead.
Rolland only let out a huff as he shoved the girls inside her bedroom. He blocked the door, crossing his arms over his big chest, and looked down at them with mock inquisitiveness.
"I could say the same for you girls, pray tell, what are you two planning?" Rolland rumbled out while the two girls didn't say anything.
"Umm, like I told you, we're going to school?" Alya put in meekly, even though she wanted to cringe at herself
"That's interesting, since it's the weekend and all. I didn't know your school had classes on Saturday as well…" Rolland lingered his word on 'Saturday', which made both the girls flinch a bit.
"Umm, that's because we missed so much school, so they have classes on Saturdays for sick students. Actually, a lot of schools in so many countries have classes on Saturdays, which is actually the total norm now. Yep, you betcha, the education system is like students don't need the weekend, just a lazy Sunday and back to good old school work. Already, the curriculum has become more vigorous over the years, even though it's mostly test and stuff. How can a test based on your intelligence and furthermore…" Marinette let out an eep when Alya put a hand over her rambling mouth.
"Umm, girl, just ending with a remediation Saturday class was good enough." Alya whispered with a groan, which made Marinette internally curse at her own damn rambling.
Rolland didn't say anything before letting out a long sigh. He knew what they we're up to, even though he felt resigned to let them go. Gina paid him a visit last night, reassuring him and consoling him in his deprived sleep.
Throughout so many centuries, they fought and loved each other, and still held their faded mate bond. Rollands thoughts went back to his strange, yet so much of a lucid dream.
He found himself back on the rocky cliff, hearing the nightly waves of the Ligurian Sea down below, which is the bitter place he met and turned Gina into a vampire. Rolland still remembered how they first met, even though it was kind of tragic and heartbreaking:
He tended to go to that particular cliff, just to kind of help himself think. When he got up there, he found himself frozen for a sec by the scent of blood. However, he had better self-control around human's blood because he tended to mortels as a physician.
As he cautiously approached the cliff, he saw a beautiful Italian woman who wore a white nightgown and was covered with blood all over herself. The moon shined upon the twinkling sky, glowing down on the woman who had a vacant stare.
"Excuse me, mademoiselle?" Rolland asked in Italian but with his French accent, since he didn't really use his voice much.
Rolland could feel a headache coming upon his temples, since he didn't really care to socialize at all. May it be human or vampire or vampyres. However, something about this mortal woman intrigued him, which is very rare for him. The woman turned her head slowly, looking at him like a corpse almost. She held something shiny in her knuckled hand, but he could smell drops of blood dripping from her palm. He saw her using the dagger to cut off her luscious locks of dark brown hair, to the point of looking like a strapping young man's hair cut. Although her face is ghastly pale, yet her feminine face makes her short hair work.
"Are you one of Duke Artino's henchmen, if you're looking for him, you might want to look down at sea," Her voice is crisp like the sea air blowing, harsh and soothing at the same time.
Rolland eyebrows rose at her question, even though Duke Artino sounded awfully familiar. He then remembered she's Gina Artino, the wife of Duke Artino, but maybe he should add the black widow in his head now. However, he didn't sense any malice through her scent and he could see old bruises sticking out upon her tanned skin. Rolland wasn't a fool to not realize she most likely was abused by her husband, which he found the same predicament in a lot of women when he forced himself to attend social events… occasionally.
"No, I am not, and it's no concern of mine with how Duke Artino is swimming with the fishes."
Rolland felt his dead heart race when he saw twinkle in her eye at his comment.
"I see, you're French yes, but you speak perfect Italian. You should go, as I am no concern for you also.. " She quickly turned her head away from him as she stepped closer to the cliff's edge.
"Wait!" He yelled out, even though he's not sure what possessed him to yell out to her.
Internally, he's yelling at himself for concerning himself with a female mortal, but even prolonging the conversation since he's not a talkative man at all.
She looked at him again with a hint of annoyance, tightening her grip on the dagger.
"What, what is it? Don't try to stop me and save me, since there's no point. I have killed my husband, failed as a wife since I couldn't bear him children, and I would have met my demise at his hands by the edge of this cliff. My fool of a husband didn't know I would fight back, so he lies in the ocean which is cleansing my own sins." She became quiet afterwards, feeling all the abuse of her husband and the pressure of society.
Rolland didn't say anything, just looked upon this woman in deep thought.
"Then, why must you meet your demise at this cliff too?" He asked, which made the woman pause for a moment.
"I must meet my end, for I have sinned by killing my husband and not being available to bear any children, and this is the first time in my life I get to choose how I want to live my life." She answered him, thinking he's a bit daft for even asking the question. However, Rolland pressed on since he could see the slight madness leaving her eyes.
"Despite that, would you rather live a life to the fullest?" Rolland asked her, making her contemplate his words.
She only smiled mirthlessly at him before jumping off to her death. Rolland didn't think about it as he jumped in after her. His memory and his lucid dream last night blended together. He didn't feel the cold and rocks of the ocean, but he felt the warm sand instead. He felt warm flesh under his hands, making him look down to see an alive Gina Dupain. She had short cut pixie albino hair again, with a red nightgown on her body, and her eyes looked lovingly upon him.
"Hello, rolly bear," Gina said with a smile before kissing him passionately.
Rolland didn't know if it was real, yet he didn't care at all. Time seemed to stand still, even if he found himself in this unconscious plane. He felt all the guilt hit him at once for hurting Gina, not being strong enough to stop Hawk Moth. However, every kiss she pressed upon his face, she could hear whispers in her touch saying 'It's not your fault, no need to trouble yourself'. However, he still couldn't hide this burning guilt, yet Gina only gave him a reassuring smile.
"Oh darling, we will see each other, maybe in the next life or the wish our granddaughter shall make in the world she wants. No matter what our granddaughter chooses, let her know she is loved, and her ladybug earrings will guide her." Gina whispered before a bright white-hot light shined upon them, which looked like the sun. However, this is the first time where the sun didn't bother him, and he didn't burn to a crisp.
"Someday, we will walk in the sun without burning like marshmallows," Gina foreshadowed with a tingling laugh before everything he held dear has disappeared in a flash of light.
Rolland is now in the present, staring at the said ladybug earrings Marinette wore. He's not too sure about the wishing part of the earrings, yet he's never questioned Gina's supernatural ability when it came to her enhanced jewelry power.
"I know you're going to catacombs, Gina paid me a visit in my dreams, even though I can't scientifically explain how. You two do what you have to do, I'll go to the Agreste manor, and see what's going on." Rolland explained while the two teenagers stared at him dumbly.
"Wait, you had a wanky dream too?" Alya questioned at a loss before Marinette punched her shoulder lightly.
"Anyways, we should go, but can't you just wait for us grandfather? Before you charge up to the manor, cause will go with you?" Marinette asked a bit desperately, not even phased with her grandfather mentioning her grandmother making an appearance in his dreams. Suddenly, Alya cut in hurriedly.
"Heck, can you come with us to the catacombs, cause we're going to need a lot of big vampire muscle if we encounter any baddie vampires," Alya chimed in sarcastically, which made Marinette nod furiously in agreement at Alya's idea.
Rolland didn't say anything as he started to direct the girls towards the basement. Alya and Marinette looked at each other nervously, finding Rolland's eerie silence quite disturbing. Once they reached the little door in the basement, which would lead them to the catacombs. A lot of old buildings have little doors, almost in the shape of a cupboard, which are held behind the catacombs that's inside the withered walls.
As they approached the little door, Rolland opened it with ease and put Tikki the mouse inside first with a little flashlight attached to her tail.
"This is something you have to do on your own, you will have to make a lot of decisions and sacrifices. The community and anarchy of the supernatural is changing, a new era is coming, and you hold all the power Marinette Dupain-Cheng." Before Marinette could reply to Rolland's cryptic words, they heard a ruckus from upstairs.
"What is that!" Alya screamed in alarm while Marinette still found herself lost with her grandfather's words.
"Slayer clan!" Rolland hissed out before shoving the girls into the little door.
Marinette frantically tried to break free from being shoved inside, yet it was no use for Rolland's strength.
"Go, Tikki will guide you. Go find the Akuma coven, find the real prince Adrien, and no matter what wish you make as queen Marinette. Always know your family will always love you and I will support you no matter what!" Rolland ordered as he kissed Marinette's forehead before shutting the door in front of the girls' faces.
Marinette felt so lost, especially with the queen and wishing part. What did he mean, God, she couldn't lose her grandfather too. Heck, her family is still so vulnerable under the sleeping drugs, and they're totally defenseless!
Marinette banged on the door, feeling her hands turn into sharp claws. She clawed and screamed out for her grandfather, but she then felt someone tugging her gently back from the door.
"Marinette, please, we got to go. Please, let's go Marinette, please! We'll come back for them, let's just please go!" Marinette could hear Alya pleading, so with a heavy heart Marinette listened to her pleas.
They couldn't really see a damn thing, despite them being the creatures of the night. However, the flashlights Marinette packed, also Tikki's little light guiding them, and they started walking down to their own tunnel of hell.

Back at the bakery, Rolland stood tall and defensive in front of the Slayer coven. Wait, let him rephrase that, he should say the Tsurugi-Cheng coven. Rolland could recognize Wang anywhere, despite the signs of old age haunting Wang with his grey hair. Rolland saw Wang's wife Tomoe standing next to him, yet her glasses are a big change from when Rolland last saw her when they last battled.
Rolland still remembered how Sabine blinded the woman, using flames of her yo-yo, but Rolland knew Sabine didn't mean for Tomoe to go blind. Sometimes when you're at war, you can be at the wrong place and at the wrong time, and Tomoe got the worst end of the stick when the two women literally fought with fire.
Rolland saw some other slayers, yet he didn't recognize them. However, for a moment he thought he saw Marinette, yet it was another teenage girl who he remembered being the daughter of Wang and Tomoe. Crazy how being related, you almost could pass as being doppelgangers.
"You vile creature, where is my sister and my niece?!" Wang demanded as he got closer to Rolland's personal space.
Rolland growled in a threatening manner, feeling his protective shackles come up. Rolland had to bid his time, knowing his coven is a bit indisposed at the moment. He internally cursed at the stupidity for Marinette and Alya putting the coven to sleep, yet he didn't blame the girls for being precautious to sneak out of the bakery.
Rolland knew how Tom could be overprotective, going a bit extreme at times. Heck, Tom even had tickets for Italy, which he planned for Marinette and Alya and his wife to escape Paris. Tom planned to avenge Gina, but he would have to get in line because Rolland has plans for Mayura.
"None of your business, so what do you want and why are you really here, Wang?"
Rolland hissed out, feeling a bit nervous when he noticed the crazed look in Wang's eyes.
"Let's just say, it's time for a new revolution. I heard the queen is dead, your stupid king is weak behind his manor, and a new queen is taking the thrown. Let's just say queen Mayura made us a deal and she needs my sacrificial niece now for a better world!" The slayers started ganging up on Rolland, making Rolland close his eyes in unease. Rolland has never been religious, but now would be a good time for a miracle. On the other hand, a teenaged slayer had other plans as she snuck out of the bakery undetected by her clan.

"This place definitely gives me the creeps, are you sure we're even going the right way?" Alya whispered to Marinette, since she's too afraid to raise her voice in this eerie place.
They've been walking through catacombs for almost an hour now, following Tikki like they were told to do beforehand. They both held flashlights, which really brightened the gruesome skulls that dotted the walls. Marinette felt uneasy as they're basically walking through an open casket cemetery. There're so many dead skeletons, with barely any flesh left on their bones, just dry and withered bones ready to be blown into the dusk. When Marinette had the lucid dream with her grandmother, she didn't really pay attention to the dead skeletons lounging around inside the catacombs. Now in reality, she's getting a real experience of how unsettling this place really is. For a moment, she could have sworn she saw her grandmother's skull winking at her, which made her jump three feet in the air when the skull mouth opened with fresh blood.
"Woah, Marinette, what is it?!" Alya asked nervously, wondering what spooked her ravenette friend.
"Do you see it, do you see her skull bleeding in her mouth?" Marinette pointed with a trembling finger, even though she sounded completely mental.
Alya used her flashlight to see where Marinette was pointing at, yet Alya didn't see anything unusual. Alya gave Marinette a concern frown while shaking her head. Marinette let out a breath in relief and then a choked laugh. Marinette gave Alya a tense smile, even though it didn't reach her eyes.
"Sorry, Alya, I'm just still jumpy and a bit out from everything that's happened. To answer your earlier question, I'm pretty sure we're going the right way, since grandfather says Tikki…"
Marinette's eyes widened when she longer saw Tikki's little light. "Shit, where did Tikki go? We lost track of her, we need her for directions!" Marinette yelled under her breath while Alya put a hand on her shoulder.
"Calm down, Mari, just breath. You told me you printed a map, yes, let's see it," Alya asked for it gently, knowing Marinette is still a bit out of it from attending Gina's funeral not even a day ago.
As Marinette kept seeing dead bodies and skeletons, she just kept seeing her grandmother's casket and the foreboding feeling of death knocking at her door. Marinette could feel Alya gently rubbing her back, knowing how tense Marinette is and dealing with this walking nightmare wasn't helping her grief. Marinette handed the map over to Alya, thinking it's best for Alya to be in charge for a while. However, the moment she handed the map to Alya, Marinette knew they had unwelcome company.
"Hey, Alya," Marinette whispered while Alya only hummed distracted in response by looking at the map.
"Fuck the map, we got to to run!" Marinette didn't really curse much, which quickly caught Alya's attention.
Alya opened her mouth before she screamed out by seeing a monstrous form coming from the shadows. Alya and Marinette put their backs together, trying to put themselves in a defensive circle. They felt uneasy when more vampires appeared in their ghastly forms, no longer showing the fake allure of beauty that vampires usually charmed for their prey. The one notable thing Marinette has picked up on, they all had ribbons attached to their necks and Marinette couldn't help feeling like they're almost collars.
Marinette had her yo-yo ready for any surprising attack. The ribbon vampires got closer, but one vampire really stood out. Chloe's gruesome face almost looked like a feral cat, with her ears pointed upwards like a spooky elf, and she had deadly claws that's ready to attack someone any minute now. A rumbling growl escaped Chloe's mouth, making Alya and Marinette shiver in fright.
"You're mine, Dupain-Cheng!" Chloe screeched out like a banshee, hissing loudly in contempt.
Marinette counted how many vampires, besides them of course, but she gathered five all together so far. Marinette knew they must work for Mayura, but some of them must be in the Bourgeois clan because Marinette saw Chloe and Sabrina too. Marinette grabbed Alya's hand, not even caring they took the cowardly way by running away and then stupidly dropping their flashlights.
They heard a ferocious roar, which echoed loudly throughout the tunnel. However, this didn't stop Alya and Marinete from running even faster, despite their night vision not being the greatest in this damn maze catacombs.
"So what's the plan, Mari, besides not getting killed?!" Alya yelled sarcastically out of breath, looking backwards nervously.
"Well, there's one blonde vampire who I am on the hit list. As for a plan, did you see anything on the map that we could give them the slip or trap them?" Marinette asked quietly, knowing it doesn't take long for Alya to memorize what she read.
Alya has a gift with photographic memory, one she sees something, she's available to recall an image with high precision without needing to look at it again. Marinette always slightly envied Alya's gift, yet she's glad Alya has this cognitive gift and her memory is more enhanced for becoming a vampire now.
"I saw a rocky cave, which looked like it could collapse any moment with the right push," Alya suggested, which made Marinette smirk slightly.
They both conspired a shitty plan on the spot, but they hoped this would work. They miraculously managed to make it to the small rocky skull cave, which looked like it would combust any moment. Marinette and Aya entered the small cave, trying to not be unnerved by the skeleton bodies dangling upside down like bats.
Marinette quickly grabbed a rock on the ground, using it for a big scratch to lure the scent of blood to the hungry vampires. Marinette then desperately pointed at Alya, then she pointed to the ceiling, so that Alya could climb up to bypass the vampires.
"Marinette, I don't give a shit by how much this is a life and death situation, there's no way in hell you're making me climb up that ceiling full of dead bodies!." Alya stated as she shook her head vehemently.
Marinette bit her lip, feeling herself shiver again by hearing the monstrous growl coming closer to them. Marinette didn't even think about it, even though Marinette knew Alya would so stake her for this later. Somehow, Marinette managed to strongly pick up Alya and threw her on the ceiling. Alya screamed in protest, but she caught her bearings as she crawled onto the ceiling slowly. Alya even ignored her hands touching the skeletons, but she bit her knuckle hard when she came face to face with the grotesque dead bodies.
Alya swore once this was all over, she was going to get Marinette back for this. Alya might start burning all of Marinette's clothes designs she made, no, that's too merciful. Alya would burn all of Marinette's sketchbooks, then burn all of her clothing designs, and unfollow every social account that Marinette has on social apps. Suddenly, all plans of petty revenge stopped plaguing Alya's mind once she noticed they had company.
Marinette stood perfectly still as all the vampires circled around her like a shark. On the outside, Marinette tried not to look intimidated, but on the inside she could feel herself internally screaming. They bared their teeth at her, hissed at her with so much hunger, yet Chloe seemed the most composed.
"Ah, it looks like we finally caught ourselves, the little mouse. What's the matter, are you scared, Dupain-cheng? I warned you someone would put you in your place, but you seem to stupidly disobey the community." Chloe hissed at Marinette, feeling so much rage at the ravenette.
Chloe took a harsh beating from her maker when she lost the dance battle from the hunt. She didn't even want to think about Sabrina, avoiding her eyes by the many layers Sabrina wore on herself. Chloe would admit she's a queen bee bitch, just about everyone her coven and the community knew that. However, Chloe's coven leader Audrey, she knew the best way to hurt Chloe and make her obedient is hurting Sabrina. Chloe had a strong fondness for Sabrina, yet the fondness that she held for Sabrina is more from mere friendship.
"Community, pssh, you call this a community? If I want to be in your stupid community, I shouldn't feel scared for my own life, and I bet you fear for your lives too," Marinette commented, which made everyone pause for a minute, and interrupted Chloe's repressed thoughts.
The short distraction got Marnette to wrap her yo-yo around them, with her other hand she threw the other side of the jump rope handle to Alya, which Marinette knew the jump rope would come in handy. Alya pulled her up while Marinette used her yo-yo to shove the group of vampires against the wall. They could feel the cave closing in from the vigorous shove, both Marinette and Alya made it out of the cave barely, and saw the mouth of the cave closed tightly shut from the fallen rocks.
"Damn!" Alya said loudly, which both her and Marinette were both thinking.
Marinette took a deep breath before lending a hand to help Alya up. "So, no hard feelings, my forgiving friend?" Marinette asked Alya as she referred to throwing Alya up the ceiling.
Alya smirked inncoently, just before Marinette found herself on the ground. "Oh yeah, just about most likely being scarred for life. We're good now, friend," Alya replied while Marinette rolled her eyes dramatically.
Marinette and Alya began to walk down another tunnel, not planning to stick around near the monstrous vampires. They lost the map along their hurried escape, so they were relying on Alya's photograph memory. Suddenly, they both jumped when they saw glowing green eyes in the shadows. Marinette didn't know how she knew this, but she felt like those were Adrien's expressive green eyes.
"Chat," Marinette whispered out in shock, feeling a bit out of it when she called out his name.
Alya looked at Marinette in concern, thinking Marinette might be hallucinating. Although, Alya got a better look of those green eyes, which belonged to a black cat as she adjusted her eyes to see in the dark. Alya didn't have time to ponder more because Marinette started to run after the cat.
"Shit, Marinette, wait for me!" Alya yelled out, trying to catch up to Marinette's faded figure.
Marinette didn't hear Alya, since her main focus was following Chat. She couldn't explain this intense pulling, it's like someone is ghostly tugging her hand, and leading her down her own rabbit hole. She lets out a gasp when she has the sense of dej-a-vu as she found herself surrounded by the many coffins. The moment she walked to the center of the coffins, many different candles flicker to life all at once, and she felt goosebumps appear on her clear pale skin. Ever since having that dream last night, any of those remaining rashes she had completely dissipated from her body.
Marinette started walking to the main coffin, she wasn't sure if it was the trick of the light, yet she felt the candles lighting more on the coffin to represent with foreboding importance. Once she approached the white casket, noticing dead roses on top of the many chains wrapped around the casket, yet she hesitated for a moment to open it. Marinette couldn't explain the sudden unease, but she also felt her whole body becoming hot all of sudden.
She wasn't sure if it's the heat from the candles or maybe adrenaline from fighting those ribbon vampires. Something in her conscious, she felt it's the human part of her, something is telling her to run away and never look back. As a hybrid, it's hard battling different instincts inside of her, which is a tug and war inside her mind. Finally, the vampire part of her took control of her, which is more the darker part of her mind that she tried to block from her consciousness.
One by one, she unlocked the chains with her vampire strength, ignoring how her hands kept on trembling. Every time a heavy chain fell on the ground, she could have sworn she heard an anticipating growl waiting to be unleashed. However, as Marinette quickly glanced around, she didn't see anything or the black cat with Chat's intelligent human eyes. As she put the final chain onto the ground, she could easily open the casket now. Marinette couldn't explain why she kept shaking, but she knew she had to pull herself together. Once she opened the coffin, she lost any sense of wits about her as she stared at the sleeping form of prince Adrien Agreste.
Adrien's golden hair is now an albino white, his face is deathly pale, and he was cold to touch when she brushed her fingers slightly against his cheek. Marinette took a deep breath, looking down at him with so many emotions on her face. Many thoughts played upon her mind: her lucid dream when he pleasered her body with warmth, but then her thoughts changed to the ferocious face with the fake Adrien accusing her for treason. Marientte shook her head, clearing her head for what she had to do to wake Adrien up.
Marinette slowly bit her wrist, feeling her eyes glow lilac for a moment. She gently dropped blood onto his purple lips, just like how she tried to revive Adrien's mother from her deep slumber. Suddenly, she felt her body become a lot hotter, making herself a bit dizzy for a moment. Marinette knew why she became hotter, she had to do mouth to mouth to Adrien's lips in order for him to take in her blood. Her lips were now pure with blood, sizzling in the trepidation of putting her lips onto Adrien's mouth, but she's not sure if it's from desire or even fear. Closing her eyes, she leaned herself down to press her lips against Adrien's, which had an immediate effect when Adrien's eyes opened.
Marinette let out a choked gasp when she felt Adrien's claws tug on her hair roughly. She's no longer leaning over the casket, but on top of Adrien's body who's holding her down roughly. She could feel his fangs biting her lips, making her bleed more for Adrien to suck on. The kisses she has shared with Adrien is nothing compared to what she's feeling now. She couldn't explain it, yet she felt her entire body on fire. The more Adrien bit, sucked, and nibbled upon her lips more urgently. She felt like he's setting flames to her body, a delicious heat that's consuming her core, and making herself moan loudly. Once his fangs moved to her neck, he simply licked his cold tongue on her throat, and then he devoured her neck by a bruising bite. Of course, biting her hard made her gasp in pain a bit, yet she felt the pain as simple pleasure.
She felt her entire body surrounded in a delirious bliss, making herself gasp loudly how her body is probably warm as an oven at this point. She tugged at Adrien's hair, trying not to get herself to pass out from this glorious heat. A lazy smile formed on her lips as she noticed Adrien's hair is back to that sinful halo of blonde hair. In fact, he is no longer ghastly pale anymore, since she could tell with the rosy color on his cheeks.
His body no longer felt cold underneath her, she couldn't help feeling this intensive heat on her body has somehow transformed warmth over to Adrien. Before she could ponder further, she let out a gasp when she heard Adrien speak loudly to her. Not through her thoughts, but his husky voice talking out loud to her.
"Marinette, you found me my purrincess, my lady, my amortentia. I'm so sorry. I'm so, so, sorry, I couldn't protect you. It wasn't me at the manor, my cousin Felix pretended to be me, he said those awful things to you. I'm sorry what Mayura did to… shit!" Marinette could feel him trembling beneath her, he no longer bit her neck and she sort of glad since she started to feel woozy.
Marinette looked down at Adrien, trying to see his face even though he hid himself on her shoulder. Marinette let out a sigh, gripping tighter to Adrien towards her body. She started hugging the shit out of him, even though it's quite awkward and pretty small for two people to fit in. Marinette could feel tears dripping down her eyes, but she wasn't crying over Adrien. However, Adrien thought she was deeply upset and angered at him, yet he still hugged her back tightly because he felt like he would lose it himself if he didn't. She then started to lightly punch his chest, which got harder and harder for her words to get through his thick skull.
"Silly Chanton, don't you dare be sorry, I'm just glad you're alive! I was so worried, I even thought at the time that you…" She stopped for a moment, trying to collect her emotions. Luckily, Adrien saw her struggle, so this time he didn't hide his face from her and stared at her with such adoration in his eyes towards her.
He looked at her as Marinette, not a monster.
"I'm just glad to see you don't see me as a monster," She whispered to herself, but Adrien heard her loud and clear.
Marinette's eyes widened when she felt her lips being attacked in a bruising kiss. Before she could deepen the kiss, Adrien pulled himself back and breathed heavily in lust. She almost wanted to cover her face with how he looked at her; something to devour and something precious to hold.
"Don't ever say you're a monster, Marinette! You're simply not, also my next hunting season will be my next prey to who has ever made you feel that way!" Marinette trembled at Adrien's deadly promise, even though she should not feel so turned on and finding a vengeful Adrien so damn hot.
Marinette could only nod her head for a response, since she knew a puddle of rumbling words would only surface.
Adrien gave her a cocky smirk, almost as if he knew where her thoughts went, and she looked the other way in sheer embarrassment. Adrien let out a laugh before gently touching her neck, which made his smirk turn into a guilty frown.
"I bit you too hard, I lost my sense of control, I'm so sorry," Adrien apologized while putting his hand behind neck nervously. Marinette vehemently shook her head as she took Adrien's arm back to put it on her bloody neck.
"Adrien, it's fine, you were literally almost a corpse when I opened your damn casket. I don't blame you for drinking from me roughly, also I kind of liked it…" Marinette admitted the last bit to herself, which made Adrien's frown turn into a shit eating grin.
"Ooh, so my purrinces like it's rough. Don't worry, I will make you scream in pleasure and pain and everyone will hear you this time to know that you're mine." Adrien whispered sinfully in her ear while Marinette felt her entire face flushed.
She quickly whacked him on her head, giving him the biggest death glare that she could muster for him. However, Adrien only bloody winked at her and she could feel Adrien's member throbbing at her thigh in interest. Marinette quickly exits out of the coffin like it's on fire, noticing they're not alone. Somehow, Alya got Nino out of his casket and they were basically necking each other.
In the corner of her eye, she saw Adrien stretching almost like a cat before his eyes turned serious as his eyes landed on the different coffins. The coziness they shared between each other turned serious once they got themselves back to the reality of their situation. Adrien managed to get out of the coffin, but Marinette helped him since he still felt weak from his long slumber body.
"I must have fallen for you all over again, Marinette," Adrien said, attempting to joke with the tense situation.
"In your dreams, silly kitty," Marinette replied with a slight smile, knowing she has fallen for him again too in her lucid dreams and reality all in one.
And cut, that's probably one of the longest chapters I wrote in awhile, hope you enjoyed this chapter! The next coming chapters will be a rollercoaster ride.
