I didn't plan on this chapter being this short, but Sedatives have to work or they'd be useless... Stain isn't a flawlessly powerful being that can shrug off anything... at least not to me.
If I knew it was this short it would have just been part of the last chapter... sigh...
Stain knew he was screwed, in a normal situation he'd be able to handle the interference but with the Sedative in his bloodstream he had only minutes at the most til he passed out or was too fatigued to fight. He recognized the kids he fought, all were skilled enough on their own but together,... together they'd be enough of a force that they might best him. Especially drugged and shocked as he was...
He had to end this quickly, fulfill his quest before it was too late.
"Recipro burst!" Ingenium's brother suddenly yelled, zooming forward and kicking Stain hard in the chest, sending him flying back.
'He's fast!' Stain thought, almost growling.
"Bakugo... Midoriya... This has nothing to do with you. I apologize," The boy apologized of all things.
"Come on. Not this again," Izuku muttered.
"I'm okay. And I won't let the two of you shed any blood for me!" Iida said.
"It's no use trying to pretend you're a hero now. A person's true nature doesn't just change in a few minutes. You'll never be anything but a fraud who prioritizes his own desires. You're the sickness that's infected society and ruined the name hero. Someone must teach you a lesson," Stain ranted, almost foaming at the mouth at the boy's disgusting attempt at self redemption.
The boy with the Escrima sticks looked at him with annoyance. "So you think that you have the right to teach that lesson, you a pointless murderer who gets off on butchering people for the sake of it?"
"No. He's completely correct. I have no right to call myself a hero... at all. Even so... There's no way I can back down. If I give up now, then the name Ingenium will die," Ingenium's brother said, blood dripping down his arm.
"Pathetic," Stain muttered, running towards them, aiming to kill at least one of them.
"Idiots. The Hero Killer is only after me and that kid in the white armor. Stop fighting back. Just get out of here!" Native told them, still lying on the ground paralyzed.
The explosive boy shot to the front and let off an explosion, forcing Stain to literally flip over it, stumbling in his landing and being kicked in the face for his troubles by the Escrima boy. He felt his cheekbone shatter under the force, and he swore a tooth loosened. Stain tried to maintain his balance but the pain mixed with the sedative was too much. He could barely focus.
"You're in the way!" Stain yelled, throwing a knife at the Escrima boy, who actually caught his knife with one arm. "Damn..."
Explosive boy smirked. "Underestimating us, bad idea..."
Escrima boy laughed. "He's pumped full of a strong sedative I designed to capture Quirk users. He's fighting it but it's making him weaker, slower... it's how I could catch that blade. He's still a threat but not for much longer."
"Why won't you stay down?" Stain asked, throwing another knife, only for this one to miss entirely. He stumbled, the world swirling around him. 'Damn I... no... my mission... I... '
And with that, he collasped, barely breathing as the Sedative took entire effect, leaving him entirely in the dark.
:::
"Let's restrain him and get to the street. Maybe we can find some rope or something... I can't believe I never included restraints in my Costume, stupid." Izuku cursed. "My sedative should last for a few hours at the least... but it would still be best if we restrain him. Take his weapons too.
"Good idea. Bakugo said and so they went to town, stripping the man of all he had. Within a minute all of Stain's knives were laid out on the ground.
"Native, can you move?" Izuku asked.
"Yeah. I think I'm as good as new now," Native replied, looking grateful.
"Huh. We're lucky someone threw this in the dumpster," Bakugo said, as he finished tying Stain up. "It's oddly convientant..."
"Bakugo, I can drag him from here," Iida told him.
Bakugo frowned. "Together, your still injured and he's heavier then he looks." And so, as one, they began to drag the man away.
"I have to apologize. I'm supposed to be a pro, but I was useless back there," Native said as they walked to that entrance to the alley.
"No, I don't think any one person could take the Hero Killer on. He's too strong," Izuku reminded him. "Whatever his quirk is, it took you and Iida out... no, he should have been a group effort.
Bakugo snorted. "We only won because of your sedative, I barely saw the fight but I know he would have likely killed us without being inhibited.'
"Right, let's get him to the police as fast as we can," Native told them.
"Boys!" Mirko, looking worse for the wear, suddenly hopped into view, a smirk on her face. "My interns beat Stain... damn brats, stealing my fun from me... He looks relatively beat up, what'd you do?" She paused, her eyes looking at Iida closely. "Those injuries look bad. I'll call an ambulance right away. Izuku, you know first aid right? Patch him up as best you can."
Izuku nodded and pulled out his stuff, walking over to Iida, where he began to patch him up as best he could. "Your an idiot Iida, this guy butchered you brother who's scary strong... what chance did you think you had?" He growled, low and hateful towards the other boy. "Your smarter then this... like seriously, what the hell?"
Iida bowed. "You guys... I'm truly sorry. I was just so angry. I couldn't see anything else," Iida said, as tears fell from his eyes.
"Hey, pull yourself together. You're the class rep, show some spine." Bakugo said.
"Right," Iida said.
"Get down!" Mirko suddenly yelled, her voice making the boy's all jump, but Izuku never went down... sharp arms grappled his armpits and he rose into the air fast.
"Midoriya!" Bakugo and Iida yelled, but Izuku was not helpless.
Twisting, he flipped his feet upward and wrapped them around the Nomu's neck, yanking his arms free. Grabbing his Escrima sticks, he slammed them at full volume into the thing's brain. It shriekd and immediately fell, fast. Throwing himself, it took all of Izuku's Parkour and tumbling skills to fall properly. As it was he felt rubble and rocks tear into his back, threw his costume. His head jarred around and he slammed into a car before finally stopping.
"Damn!" He cried out, coughing in pain. He didn't bother trying to stand and just waited while his friends fawned over him, knowing he definitely needed an ambulance... he was almost positive he broke a rib or two with that fall.
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
