CH 28
On the way to the dinning room, Sam needed to use the bathroom, so the President showed them to one Sam could use. Jack went in with her while the three men walked down to the dining room while they still talked. When finished and Jack had relieved himself, they followed a security guard down to the dinning room. When Sam saw what was there her eyes lit up. Jacob nudged the President; when he saw the look on Sam's face, he smiled.
When they sat down they talked while having lunch. They were having what Sam asked for. While they were talking they watch Sam with the sauces and mayo. They could tell she was happy when she was eating her lunch. Even the President spoke to both Selmak and Lantash about the Tok'ra. When they finished lunch, Sam was enjoying her second slice of cheesecake that was made. When she finished, she sat back patting her stomach.
"They are happy for now"
"That's good to know, Major Carter, shall we return back to my office?"
They all stood up and returned back to the President's office. Jack pushed Sam's wheelchair over to the desk where the President put the password in before leaving Sam to it while the four men talked. Sam was reading about the experiment that a doctor had been working on.
When she finished reading what the doctor had done, she then read the doctor's report. By the time she finished reading it, she was shocked. She looked over to where Jack was; somehow he knew Sam was looking at him so he turned with a smile on his face then it dropped.
"Sam" he got up and walked over to her; the others stopped talking and turned and looked at Sam. Jack walked over to her and moved the wheelchair back so he could crouch down and look at her.
"Sam, what's wrong?"
"I just finished reading some report. I now know what the experiment was."
"What was it?" they looked at each other while he was holding her hands; she moved her hands and grabbed his and put them on her expanding stomach without braking eye contact.
"Our children" Sam nodded.
"Jack, this Frankenstein doctor injected a large amount of hormone drugs into me. According to his report, he found three large eggs within me, according to the size they were four times larger than a normal egg. He got your semen and added to it, then when the time was right he split the eggs up till there were twenty four eggs, he then put three eggs in to me and seven other women."
"Seven, then there is still one woman missing?" Sam shook her head.
"The woman died, she miscarried and hemorrhaged… they didn't know till the next morning when one of the women went to wake her when she saw she was pale and her lips were blue. From that the doctor said she was dead for about seven hours and lost over sixty percent of her blood. After that, they decided to check on the other women and me every hour to make sure it didn't happen again."
"What did they do with the woman's body?" the President asked
"Dump it, in the natural park; he said the body was found an hour after it was dumped, at this time the police thought that the woman had miscarried and collapsed as she was walked back to the car park, but died on the path."
"Can you find out more?" Jacob asked.
"Some detective from Seattle was handling the case"
"I'll get my people to look into it and find out who she is so she can be returned back to her family" The President said.
"There is more… the doctor managed to get blood samples from both Lantash and Jolinar, he added it into the eggs before he added Jack semen to them. The last blood test he took from one of our children showed that the baby got Naquadah in it and there's Tok'ra blood mixed in with human blood…. It think that the NID were trying to create a human Tok'ra hybrid" then she started to cry. Jack moved so he could give Sam a hug. The President turned to Jacob.
"What do you think might happen to the children?"
"If the doctor's experiment succeeds, these children will become the first Tok'ra - Human harcesis in the galaxy" Selmak said.
"There's more" Sam said Jack pulled away and looked at her.
"What do you mean, Sam?" Jack asked.
"The doctor took blood from you, he split the blood up till all there was is the proteins and a gene, he had been injecting the proteins into each of the children in the last month"
"What gene?" Jack asked.
"Ancient gene, we need to talk to Thor" then there was a bright light and Thor appeared. Jack turned and stood up.
"Thor, buddy, is everything alright?"
"I have heard what Major Carter said. I would like to test your children with your permission"
"No" Jack said.
"Jack" he turned and looked at Sam.
"Sam, no"
"I would like to know what Thor got in mind first… please"
"Ok, I just don't like seeing you upset, that's all"
"I know" she held onto his hand and turned to Thor.
"What do you want to do?"
"All I need to do is scan your children, it will only take a few minutes, and I can take the reading to my ship"
"How can you scan the kids?" Jack asked.
"With this stone" Thor showed him a stone that was in his hand.
"All I need to do is to pit this stone on where your children are; it won't hurt and all" Sam let go of Jack's hand and she wheeled herself around to where Thor was.
"Will you tell us what you find in your reading, Thor?"
"Yes I will" Jack walked over to them and looked at Sam, who looked up at him.
"Jack, I want to know if our children are going to be fine, healthy… normal"
"Do it" Thor put the stone on Sam's stomach, then they all watched the glow then it stopped glowing, then it did it again.
"How long will it take, Thor?" Sam asked.
"When the stone glows and doesn't glow, then it is finished, it will take a few minutes"
"Ok; while we are waiting, any news about the devices that the rogue group stole?"
"Yes, they have all been returned, and I hope the ones who stole will be punished"
"They will be, Thor" Jack said; then the President red phone rang, so he walked over to answer it.
"General Hammond… yes she is, I'll put it on speaker phone" then he clicked a couple of buttons then hung up.
"General Hammond wants to talk to you" Sam turn the chair around.
"Captain Carter, we got a problem with the computers; how long are you going to be?"
"Don't know, sir, and it's Major Carter, sir"
"Major… congratulations on your promotion"
"Thanks, sir… can you transferred me to the control room; I hope McKay is behind the problem"
"Sure, and it was him"
"Figures" she muted and Jack smiled.
"I'll transfer you now" then there were two clicks.
"Control room, Sergeant Harriman speaking"
"Sergeant, this is Major Carter. What has that nit wit McKay done to the computers this time?"
"He updated the programs"
"What programs?"
"The dialing and for the iris" Sam groaned.
"Sergeant, you will have to wipe everything from the hard drives and download the backups, you know where the disks are; use them till I return"
"Yes ma'am and Dr McKay?"
"It's a shame Teal'c is not back on Earth"
"He is, Major; he arrived back an hour ago"
"Good… tell nit wit McKay if he goes anywhere near my lab and the control room computers again get Teal'c to… zat him till I return" she knew he would be smiling.
"Yes Major, I'll tell him, but you know what he might do"
"I know and tell Teal'c to have a Zat with him just in case"
"Yes Ma'am… Ah, Major, Dr McKay just showed up"
"Put him on, please and talk to Teal'c"
"Will do, and congratulations on your promotion"
"Thanks, Sergeant" then they heard:
"Dr McKay, it's for you"
"Who is it?"
"The White House" then they waited.
"Mr President, this is an honor"
"Wrong person, McKay, but right office"
"Captain Carter"
"Major Carter to you, Dr McKay. Now I'm only going to tell you once, don't touch any computers in the control room and my lab, understand?"
"What, you can't..."
"Am I clear, if you do, Teal'c will have my orders to zat you"
"You wouldn't… he can't do that?" Sam looked at the President.
"Mr President, will Teal'c and myself get into trouble if Teal'c follows my order?"
"How many times can Dr McKay be zatted without killing him?"
"Once, sir, to kill him or I'll have a lovely feed of lemon chicken then I'll give him a kiss of death"
"You wouldn't dare," McKay said over the speakerphone. Sam smiled.
"Well, then leave the computers alone"
"All right, anyway the zat doesn't hurt… does it?"
"Do you want to know?"
"Ah… no"
"Well, there you go, is the Sergeant there?"
"Yes and Teal'c, he is watching me… it's scary"
"Teal'c is a teddy bear"
"If you say so… I… I better go" then he hung up.
The President pushed a button to end the call just as Jack and Sam burst out laughing.
"Nice one Sam, I don't think McKay will go near another computer while on base ever again… while Teal'c is around"
"I know"
"Sam, do you think Teal'c will shoot Dr McKay?" Jacob asked.
"No… more likely scare him"
"Ah" Sam looked down to see the stone glowing.
"Thor" they looked at the stone to see it glowing. Thor removed the stone from Sam's stomach.
"I will let you know about the results as soon as I know"
"Thanks Thor" then he was gone in bright light.
"Sam, how are you feeling?" Jack asked
"Tired, but I want to wait till we hear from Thor, in the mean time… Dad, how are things on Endora?"
"Busy, all the homes would be complete with in a week, and the third address you gave the Tok'ra to look at, that will be their new base, and the first one will be backup just in case"
"Dad, that is great news, so when are they planing on moving?"
"Well, some of the Tok'ra are already there getting things sorted"
"That is great news Dad, I'm pleases that I was able to help"
"Yes, the Tok'ra are pleased, and the council would like to talk to you and Jack after the kids are born"
"Do you know what they want to talk to us about?"
"Yes, and everything is going to fine"
"I hope so Dad" They talked for five minutes when Thor appeared in a bright light.
"Thor, is everything ok?" Sam asked as she was holding on to Jack's hand.
"Yes, the results I got were interesting. Your children will lead a normal life; however, they will be smarter"
"Smarter than Sam?" Jack asked.
"Yes, from studies the Asgard have done over the years of your planet, each human uses about ten percent of their brains… Your children will be using fifty percent of their brains since they will have the knowledge of the Tok'ra within them, and whatever they will be learning on your planet"
"Wow, is there anything we should be worried about, Thor?" Jack asked.
"No, as for the ancient gene you carry, O'Neill, your children have got it, and what the doctor added had no affect on them at all since they all carry the gene already"
"What about the blood?" Sam asked.
"The blood will look like normal human blood, but if your doctors did any DNA test, it would show that there is Tok'ra blood in with human blood; from the results of the scan they all will have twenty percent Tok'ra blood in them. And if they need any blood, one of your sons will need Major Carter's blood whereas your other son and daughter will need O'Neill blood"
"Thanks for telling us, Thor"
"You are welcome, Major Carter"
"Thor, what about Dad here – he and Sam got the same blood type"
"Yes he can, since he also carries a Tok'ra, Selmak, within him"
"Thank you, Thor" Sam said as she relaxed.
"Mr President, is there anything you want to ask?" Jack asked.
"Thor, is there anything you can do to protect these children when they are born?"
"Yes, the Asgard will help protect them since their father is ambassador of the Asgard" Jack raised an eyebrow then smiled.
"Gee, thanks Thor, I'm honored"
"You are welcome, O'Neill; your children are a step further to become the fifth race. I have spoken to Lya of the Nox; she will come when your children are born, she asked if Major Carter would wear this bracelet"
Thor touched his wrist and a bracelet appeared in Thor's hand. He put it onto Sam's wrist; they could see it was made out of smooth twisted rope, then they saw it join itself together.
"Wow, Thor, when you see Lya, tell her thank you"
"She would know, Major Carter" Sam smiled.
"Oh, ok. When do you have to leave?"
"Now; I'm sorry, I need to let the council know about these findings"
"Sure, I understand… before you go, can you beam us back to the SGC?"
"Yes, I can do that"
"Thanks Thor" then she looked up at the President and chief of staff.
"Thank you for lunch and surprise promotion"
"You're welcome Major Carter, good luck with your pregnancy"
"Thank you sir" They said their good byes to each other before they were beamed aboard Thor's ship.
"Major Carter, would you like to see you children?" Sam smiled.
"Yes I would like that"
"O'Neill"
"Yes I would love to, what do you think Dad?"
"Sure, why not"
Thor moved a stone, then a hologram appeared; it showed where the kids were. While they were looking at the hologram, Thor beamed trackers into Jack and Jacob while they were distracted.
"Well, at least we know our daughter is going to be born first" Sam said.
"Yeah, we will have to think up names for each of our kids, Sam"
"I know" They looked at the hologram for few minutes before it disappeared.
"Thank you, Thor, for showing us our children"
"You are welcome, O'Neill. I must depart."
"We understand" then they were beamed down to the gate room.
